If I could give less than 1 star, I would, this is the worst customer experience I have ever had. I have not had a working washing machine for almost a month. I had the extended warranty through the manufacturer for my Maytag washer that is under 2 years old. It started with the machine not draining after the rinse cycle. Maytag arranged for Sharper Service Solutions to come out and repair it. Initially there was no issues other than the 1 week wait time for someone to come out. Joshua comes out and evaluates the machine, but brings no parts that could potentially fix it same day. He orders the parts ( a motherboard and a water pump) and we'd have to wait another week for them to be installed. Fine. First red flag, he didn't even bother to help my husband drain the standing water in the machine. He just left. He returns on the 16th, replaces those two parts and the machine still does not work. Orders another part and at my husbands request, drains the water from the machine because it was smelling up our entire basement. Joshua orders the wire harness and would be back to fix it that following Tuesday (the 21st). The wire harness arrives to our house and Joshua replaces it. He says that everything should run and he calibrates the machine, tells me that the diagnostic cycle ran and that everything should work fine now. I was so excited I threw a load of wash in and guess what? The drain cycle never stopped. It ran for four hours, and when I tried to just drain the water with the drain cycle, that didn't work either. It just kept rinsing then draining, then repeating itself until I manually unplugged the machine. I called the office and this is where everything went to hell in a handbasket. I told Mary that the machine still isn't working and Mary (one of their receptionists?) told me that someone would be out on the 28th at the earliest to re-evaluate the machine. I reminded her that this has been an ongoing issue for us lasting longer than three weeks, she said she could put us on a cancellation list, but that was what they could do. Joshua comes back out on the 28th and says that we may need another motherboard and that sometimes they can be defective. He recommended that we call whirlpool and just let them know what is going on so that we wouldn't be wrongfully charged, but he said that we would not have to do that, that his office would get in touch with whirlpool. So I did what he recommended, I tried call whirlpool, couldn't get through, so I called the office number of Sharper Service Solutions and told them that I couldn't get through to the manufacturer but that the technician (Joshua) said that the office would take care of it. Mary, outright disagreed with me and told me that I had to call Whirlpool and "request a new dispatch" to order the new motherboard. When I questioned her as to why I would do that when they ordered the parts the last three times we needed them, she stated that the account holder of the warranty had to order the parts. WTF? How did I get parts twice before this? She kept repeating the same thing, for privacy purposes the account holder had to request a new dispatch. I finally get in touch with a lovely woman from Whirlpool, I explain to her that I need a new dispatch. She gives me a number for the work order. I call SSS's office back with the work order number. SSS informs me that my encounter with the work ticket was closed, but won't say who closed it or when it was closed. I give them the work order over the phone and via text, the confirm that they have it and I thought that would be the end of that ordeal. NO. I receive a text the next day that they don't have the work order assigned in their portal and that their hands were tied. They recommended I called the Whirlpool supervisor when I requested   to speak to their supervisor. Once I was able to get a hold of the SSS supervisor, they repeated the same thing, that they needed me to call whirlpool to get the new dispatch, and that they could not see anything on their end. I called whirlpool again, spoke with Leo, who said that the work orders were time sensitive to be accepted and he gave me a time and date and confirmed that it was Sharper Service Solutions that accepted the work order. Whirlpool ended up sending the job to a local competitor who has already delivered on a better customer experience than SSS. This experience was so horrendous, in that the only way this could be rectified is by them delivering a speed queen washing machine to my door with a bow on top. read more

Was referred by Whirlpool for authorized service for a washer. Service call was scheduled for a Monday. Received a call on Monday that the tech was not available and that the service would be rescheduled for the next Monday. The tech did not arrive the next Monday and no one called. I called them on Tuesday and was told the tech would be there that day. The tech did not arrive by mid-afternoon, so I called and was told the service was scheduled for Thursday. I told them to cancel the service. Oh, and they got the street address wrong in their system, so the part they ordered went to a neighbor's house. And it turned out to be the wrong part. This last time the technician said it was working properly but clearly, they are not. He became a smart ass at the end of our conversation. I requested his supervisor's name and number. Worst company. Strung me along for over a month on a washing machine repair. Tech only showed up once out of the four scheduled appointments, said the belt was broken and he'd have to order a part. When he failed to show up again, I called a different company. Dash Appliance showed up the same day I called and fixed my washing machine in under 45 minutes. Maytag set up an appointment for me with this company to have my refrigerator looked at after it started intermittently making a loud vibrating noise. The arrival window was set up for 12-4 pm. I got a message at 7:12 am on the day of my appointment saying "unfortunately that's not possible" and they have to change my window to 8-10 am. I called them back explaining that this wouldn't work for me because I already had another appointment set up for the morning and that was insufficient time for me to change my plans. The receptionist just repeated to me after looking up my information that my window was scheduled for 8-10 am which irritated me even more because I had already said that and she didn't acknowledge my concern. She told me they make the schedule up the morning of and Maytag should have told me that they couldn't guarantee my chosen window of arrival. That would have been fine had they given me sufficient notice of the change. Even if they had called me the night before I could have changed my plans but not 48 minutes in advance. I've never dealt with a company that makes schedules the same day, expecting their customers to change their plans on a dime when it's not convenient for them. I don't appreciate the receptionist trying to gaslight me into thinking that this is normal business practice. This was horrible communication and a lack of respect for the customer's time. If they fix my refrigerator I may change my review but for now I'm not impressed and I would have picked another company if I had the option. read more

We had our fridge start freezing our food so on March 7th, we called our Lowe's warranty and scheduled for repair. Sharper Appliance Repair was the company they utilized. It's been a nightmare. They came out on the 8th, told us that nothing was wrong because I had unplugged the fridge to defrost it and then plugged it back in, which removed the error code. Didn't investigate, didn't check anything, just said that I must have fixed it by unplugging it. Ok.......on the 9th our fridge was still very frozen so we called again and they came back out on the 11th. Ordered 2 parts and said they'd be back to repair when the parts came in. Got one part within 4 days. The other part, apparently is back-ordered. It's been nearly a month since this all started and when I call them, they have no time frame in sight on when they'll get the part. I called them this morning again to try to address this issue and when I pointed out that I saw that same part online in stock in 7 (!) different stores, one of which is literally down the street from me, this absolute underwear stain of a person interrupted me to tell me that he doesn't care what it says online, they ONLY order from their own warehouse and there is no update. Too bad. Lowe's has been actually very helpful and will be sending another repair service to actually address the issue. And I'm talking to higher-ups about this ridiculousness. There seems to be a pretty consistent theme amongst reviews for this company that they come out, pretend everything is fine, get paid, have to come out again, get paid AGAIN, screw around and do shoddy work, and get paid a THIRD time, if not more. I'm reporting their inept and illegal double dipping practices to every place I can. BBB, WA and OR attorney generals for business complaints, etc. Stay far away from this company. read more

Whirlpool sent these guys out, took 8 days for a tech to get here. He told me that it needed parts and he would order them as soon as I paid for his visit. Normally the visit would be added to the work, but I paid it. I was told before the tech left that they would schedule the work right away. Two hour later I call to check and they tell me they have NO ONE certified to work o my two year old Fridge. The course of my observations with this company ran well over a month. For over a month, I received poor service, almost no follow up, and un-returned calls. I waited at my house for a "scheduled between the hours of 2pm-4pm repair visit" three times and no one showed up. This is despite multiple calls and confirmation from their staff that a person would be arriving to my home, and on the same day as the service visit was supposed to occur. I left three messages for the boss of this company (which is based in Oregon) and am still waiting for that return call. I am someone that understands that things change: schedules, part arrival times, etc.' however, this company will not communicate with you or follow up. In addition to "waiting" for a return call from the owner of this company, I should also be getting calls back (from their reports) from someone that does parts ordering, the repair person, and general reception staff with updates. The lack of communication or any follow up was just shocking. The number of no call back/ no shows for a scheduled appointment were more than a dozen. I was left in the dark with what was happening, the cost of parts, or anything related to follow up from them, even with repeated calls and inquiries. I will be typing up the log I kept. Once I realized the type of service and communication that I would be receiving I thought it best to track their business practices. I also plan to reach out to Whirlpool as I think they would be most interested to know the type of business practices the company they work with utilizes, especially if they are going to designate this company as an "authorized service provider." read more

I had a very bad experience with Sharper Service Solutions for my Samsung washer - I ended up posting a formal complain to Samsung and requested a different company to fix it. They have bad manners, no communication skills and they laid to me. This is what happened: - 10/29 a brand new Samsung washer broke down. I called Samsung and opened a ticket; one/two business days later Shaper called me to set an appointment for 11/14. I requested sooner but didn't have any availability (two weeks just for a visit! - no comment). - 10/31 Sharper technician came over to my place to replace the door of my Samsung dryer (that was previous issue - there was a scratch on it and I requested a replacement). He also checked the washer and confirmed it was broken. He told me he had to order a spare part (new main board) and he would do that on Monday. - time goes by, no communication from Sharper or spare part received. I texted the technician few times to remind him to order the spare part - no answer. Then I called Sharper on 11/12 to get an update - they told me no spare part was ordered. That was the first surprise - I asked clarifications why and they told me they need to come over before ordering a spare part. I tried to explain Sharper technician already did. The front-desk person was not listening and kept repeating the same sentence. I asked confirmation for the appointment on Saturday 11/14 and he confirmed it. - 11/14 waited all day long at home - no call, no technician came over. Called the technician three times, left a voice message, texted him, called Sharper and left a message. No one called me back. I also called Samsung for an escalation. It's not acceptable no one showed up and no communication received the day of the appointment. - 11/16 I called Sharper and they told me they are waiting for Samsung to approve the replacement part. I asked when the request to authorize the order was posted and he told me some time ago. That a lie - on 11/14 I talked to Samsung and they didn't receive any spare part authorization request. Sharper also mentioned on 11/12 no order was posted. Then he changed version and he said the spare part would be ordered today. The tone of the Sharper representative on the call was bad - instead of apologizing since they didn't come over and provide any update, he was rude and at one point hung up the phone, while I was sharing the impact on my family due to the poor service I was getting. I called Samsung again to complain - requested a new service company and posted a formal complaint. This is the first and last time I do any business with Sharper Service Solutions. read more

I was assigned to them to fix my fridge through KitchenAid. Had a service technician come out on June 17 and was a bit disappointed when he let me know that he was only going to order parts that day, my fridge wasn't going to get fixed until later when the part(s) arrive. Part arrived and they came out again (visit #2) and the technician stated that the wrong part was ordered, so he would order the right part this time. After the new part was received, scheduled visit #3. For visit #3, They contacted me around 9am to let me know that my ETA was between noon and 3pm. The technician shows up at 3:50 and lets me know that... wait for it.... they ordered the wrong part again! So now as I write this, being nearly 2 months since I started this process, still have a broken fridge. This "Whirlpool Warranty Authorized appliance repair service" didn't have a tool to install parts despite of those parts being delivered from manufacture next day. A few weeks later after they finally got the tool, technician had family emergency. This company didn't have anyone else to cover his area since the other technician left for some reason. Left manager a few messages to discuss other options or at least being explained what is going on but he NEVER returned our call during the 6 weeks of living off a mini fridge for the family of 4. (which we had to purchase while we wait.) After rescheduled for 6 weeks, scheduling guy finally called instead of texting and told us that they needed to reschedule again since our job takes longer time and the technician had to prioritize small jobs such as diagnostic jobs, which are new jobs for the company. They made existing/pending job to wait for another week to get the other jobs started. It took 7 weeks to repair the fridge by this manufacture "Authorized" company. John S came out to assess the damage, immediately diagnosed the issue, tested and re-tested to assure me what the problem was. He went out of his way in my opinion to make sure I understood what he was saying. He went on to explain the cost and he suggested I explore my options with Samsung to see if the would stand behind their product even a few weeks out of warranty. This was the worst service I've ever received an appliance repair. We use American Home Shield AHS insurance for our maintenance on our home. Apparently, sharper service solutions has a contract with them and they were sent out to check on our washing machine. We told them it was making a loud noise and is getting worse and worse. The technician arrived and came into our home with out shoe coverings, face mask or gloves. I had to ask her to wash her hands! This all in the middle of the worst pandemic in 100 years! She stated that her shoe coverings got wet from a wash machine earlier in the day and she didn't have anymore and that her bosses did not give any of the employees masks or gloves. My biggest issue is all she did was run a few cycles. She didn't hear anything and thus considered her work done - she didn't take off the front cover, she didn't touch the drum to see if it was balanced.....she didn't do anything! If I could have given zero stars I would have. This company definitely does NOT have very high standards! Be warned. read more

For once, an extended appliance warranty actually paid for the work that needed doing! My Samsung refrigerator ice maker was totally frozen. After calling and talking with Samsung, they told me Sharper Service would be contacting me, which they did within an hour. Paul was out on a Monday to assess the situation. He ordered the parts needed and said he could be back on Friday. I preferred the following Monday. The four boxes of parts arrived during the week. 5 stars for Jeremy Hubbard, the tech sent out after many failed attempts with Sharper Service Solutions. (Post Falls/Cda) We have been working for over a month to get repair done on our ice maker (Samsung side by side). On two different occasions, we were told a tech would come out. We unloaded and defrosted our entire fridge/freezer per instructions, only to have no call or tech arrive on scheduled day. Not only that, we had to call them ourselves to ask why no one was here at the appointment time. Both times we were told that the tech called in sick, but without ever being informed on our end. This involved moving the food for a larger family to another location, as well as having to stay home for the day in expectation of repair. Finally, we insisted someone else be sent out - as well as a complaint sent to Costco/Samsung and the BBB. Jeremy was scheduled and did arrive on the 3rd attempt...but no fault of his own, the parts had not been ordered. He was very professional - ordered the parts before leaving our home and scheduled a new appointment. Today, he arrived on schedule and went right to work. Jeremy started by protecting our countertops and floors and had the job done completely and quickly, even going as far a tightening our handles on the fridge and freezer. Again, I give 5 stars to Jeremy Hubbard due to his work ethic and professionalism. We wish he had been the one scheduled to do the work in the 1st place. Thank you, Jeremy.
