I usually hate going to a bar and eating bar food. However, this bar had a really good cook or at least much more enjoyable bar food. While traveling for work, I wanted something quick and my buddies wanted drinks. Worked. Enjoyed the two margaritas and we shared some great boneless wings. Being from Texas where "burnt ends" is a thing, I almost threw the "pork burnt ends" out the door. Not only on no planet are they close, but it wasn't even that good. However, the fried cod club with fries finished it out so well it more than made up for the failed appetizer. read more

He gave great recommendations and was regularly checking in with us. The food was amazing. No one complained about anything. The brisket tacos were a hit. Seattle burger was huge-- i split it with hubby. The Buffalo wings are not your traditional spicy but rather a lil sweet. The nachos were great. The drinks 2 thumbs up! I ended up at this cool spot due to canceled flights because of weather. Their environment is awesome and they spin a wheel every 30 minutes for a drink special. The food and drinks were tasty especially the homemade sourdough past and a special thanks to my server at the bar Haylie who was very friendly and had great service. Hit this spot quickly after arriving in Seattle late and really really enjoyed it. Our waiter (a nice fella who said he was Australian) was highly attentive, very patient with all our questions, and he recommended the patty melt which ranks very high on my list of "favorite sandwiches I've ever eaten". I stopped at Sharps for a late lunch. It was relatively empty, so I sat at the bar. First, the place is big and it smells great when you walk in (if you are a roast meat fan). Revolving whisky (Bourbon?) kegs right by the front door and the family history is cool. I only ordered wings, fries and a beer. The food arrived in like 5 minutes and was piping hot. My husband and I love this place. We live in Edmonds and make the drive down here because the food and service is worth it. The first time we went we ordered the nachos, brisket tacos, and burger. It was ALL great. Most recently, when we went for dinner the place was packed and never did we feel like we were being overlooked or waiting for too long. The staff all look happy to be there but I really have to clap for the manager. You can tell he is managing the flow of his staff and the place appeared to be working like a well oiled machine. The manager was greeting everyone, helped serve tables, and he even went around to every table to thank them for coming. What a nice touch of customer service. Came here to celebrate a birthday. We got in and sat pretty quickly in the bar section. Our waiter was attentive and overall great! Wished I remember his name! maybe Patrick?? Super chilled guy and great to joke with. The food here is yummers. We each had gotten a drink and shared the fried potatoes balls and brisket mac n cheese. By the time our meals came, we were all kind of full haha. I had the ribs and it was fall off the bone good!! I really wanted to order the roast cause you can literally see it cooking, but I knew I wouldn't be and to finish it. Kind of wished I did though; however, that gives me a good reason to return! Made reservations for a Friday night. Sharp's is right by the airport and near all the hotels. My table shared the mac and cheese- homemade sourdough pasta with Beecher's cheese- delicious!! My main disappoints were hostess staff didn't have a table ready for us even though we had a reservation and my prime rib dinner was $45 and just not that great. After having just returned from a 7 day cruise, we (6 of us) arrived at Sharps Roasthouse looking for a "light" lunch! We were pleasantly surprised with a very comfortable atmosphere, a staff with a welcome and upbeat attitude, and a menu that was very impressive for our "southern" familiarity. (We are from Tennessee and Kentucky). Needless to say, we don't need dinner! Also impressed by their awesome bar selection and a very good bourbon. We KNOW bourbon. Our palates included tasting the brisket sandwich, the bbq pork, the burnt ends, and the tacos! Damn good stuff!!! We fly out tomorrow, but if and when we are back in Washington State, we'll definitely be back! read more

It's good. It's not life changing but it's good. They have been in business for a long time and it's because the food is consistently good and the staff is reasonably friendly. As for cost, there are complaints that it is "too expensive" that's of course a relative term but meats are expensive these days. Deal with it. They also have plenty of more reasonably priced items. And happy hour is a darn good deal. Small bar so a little tight up there. Maybe 8 seats. Bar area in general has plenty of space. Reasonably sized dining area though I have not sat back there. Bartender can get a little slammed. They are covering the service bar for all the servers in the dining area and that can leave you a little underwhelmed when it starts getting busy and they are by themselves. Especially because the waitstaff likes to visit and chat amongst themselves down there. Great happy hour burger with fries. for 11 bucks. Cooked perfectly and the bun was outstanding. It really was. 24 beers on tap and a freaking ton of booze! Good Caesar and kale salad too. Happy hour 3-6, 10-close. I know they advertise some good lunch specials to get you in and out fast. I have not tried them. I have been coming here for years because I stay at the hotel across the street for work. I would not make this a destination but I'm happy enough to return when I'm in town. They do put a 4% charge on to your bill for "cooks commission". You can opt out if you want but you need to tell them. Otherwise it's on there. It sure what I think of that. Just thought you should know. The menu details it. It's a forced tip that you are then supposed to tip the servers?! I don't know, again, use your own judgement there. I tip. I usually tip well if service was at least mediocre or better because I know how hard those people are usually working to prepare and deliver a dining experience that I count on while traveling. read more

This time I got a small salad ( always a good choice) and tried the burnt ends for the first time. These were so tough and dry they were almost inedible.
