I have been a customer for several years and have been very satisfied until now. I have ordered pizzas 2 nights in a row and the service has been miserable. Tonight it took over an hour and the delivery guy shouts from his car that our pizzas are here. When I asked what took so long he said that they are busy tonight. But when I took our pizzas they were to cold to eat. We had to throw them out and ordered from a different place. I won't order from them ever again if they send out cold pizzas and they can't come to the door to deliver it. To bad because they do make good pizzas but their customer service has gone away completely. read more

Used to be among the best in town, had shops across the city. Now their last shop put the final nail in it for me. Like most all of us I have been eating Shasta Pizza Company since they started. Would contend that they have some of the best in Redding. Pizza Guys was the pizza when they were around but at the same time SPC had awesome other dishes. Their meatball sandwich is the first I ever had. Since then they have been the standard. Crispy toasted bread, sauce dripping from all corners, mozzarella strung out for days with each bite. And the star of the show are the spicy meatballs so juicy and tasty. I ordered this for YEARS. Love it. Standard bearer. Turned friends onto it. We all swore by it. It was the best meatball sandwich in town. In town! Some of us have lived on the east coast. I moved to Sac and have been gone. Came to town for a job and for dinner I decided to catch up with an old friend. Couldn't wait. What I got was garbage. If I had to figure out what happened I'd say that this sandwich was made earlier, was canceled, thrown in the fridge then microwaved when I ordered it. That doesn't explain, though, the mere maybe tablespoon worth of mozzarella. The sauce was nothing near a sauce. It was a paste. The meet was okay, kinda dry. But the bread was so rubbery it was like eating jerky. The reason my review is so long is because I have been eating these for years, from this same SPC on Victor and abroad and I have always appreciated them as a down home mom and pop good food. I'd like to force whoever made this to eat this sandwich. Ill bet they wouldnt want to. This is a careless piece of trash. The Freaky Tiki pizza is the best pizza I have had. More expensive than the pizza chains in town but well worth it in my opinion

It's better than Denny's. It's fast and it's close. Beyond that, this joint has nothing going for it. This place has gotten progressively worse in the past few months. The pizza is habitually under cooked, flimsy, and soggy. The employees are rude half the time. If you don't name your own price when you order, they will charge you more than what is on the menu. We had our last pizza from Shasta Pizza tonight, they're close to home so we ordered from there. But while it was ready in 15 min, when I got there to pay and presented a coupon with NO EXPIRATION DATE on it for $5 off, the guy at the counter said it was expired. He then said something about seeing what else he could do for me but came up with nothing. The pizza is average, we'll go across town to Ultimate or to Upper Crust. read more

I have been there 3 times now, and each time I have gotten the same pizza; The Pesto Chicken. The pizza itself is FANTASTIC! just as delicious each time. The people that work there are super friendly, and they even offer a military discount. Great service. We love their pizza. Their pepperoni and meatball pizza and Killer Bacon Chicken are the best.

They let me down last night. It took them an hour and 20 minuties to find my house after I called and in my order. Then the pizza was luke warm at best. Killer Bacon Chicken was road kill at best and the Tiki sause on the other pie was more like tabasco sauce. I have to say we have been eating Shasta Pizza since the late 1990s when we first discovered them on Lake Blvd. For the past 12 years we've ordered from the one on Victor. Happy with the service and the pizza has always been tasty. If you are looking for full fledge gourmet this is not for you, but if you want fresh, worry free, guess who's not cooking or doing dishes tonight then this place is great. Their meatball sandwiches are yummy too. Taste test it for yourself. Prices are always reasonable, they've gone up over the years but that is to be expected. I couldn't even get through on the phone. I tried four times to place an order; it was busy the first two times, my call was dropped the third time after a six minute wait, and the last time I was hung up on as I explained my problem. I called Shasta Pizza Company to order pizza after reviewing their coupons online. When I called to order the person told me that the coupon was expired and it was typed incorrectly anyways. The coupon had no expiration date listed when I checked. When I explained this and that it was a current coupon on their website he told me "Well it is not available because I told you it was expired" Guy was very rude and basically hung up the phone on me. Years back the delivery guy took 80 bucks. My teen at the time thought she handed him a 20 but it was a 100 bill and he asked do u want the change she said no thinking it was a 20. I told the owner he said nothing I can do. Take the delivery guy to court. So years go buy and we think okay we will give them another chance and this time they tried to sell us a larger pizza than ordered and they tried to charge us way to much in sales tax all because the girl at counter didn't know how to calculate tax. People have suggested I eat here for a while but never had. I must start off by saying you have to try their BBQ chicken pizza. It is incredible! However, I made the mistake of ordering a Chicken Caesar Salad Sub and a side order of fries. The "half" sandwich was an awesome size but it was too full and fell apart contrary to it having a thick and toasted bun. I think there was just too much chicken and sauce which caused the lettuce to become soggy. I couldn't even save the rest for later because it was just a pile of mush after a few bites. The fries tasted like they'd been cooked yesterday and then microwaved. They had no salt or seasoning on them at all. They were almost chewy. I was also extremely disappointed with the level of service we received over the phone when we called in our order. We asked for three separate transactions/orders because the girls I work with wanted to pay separately. The response we received was "Really?" And was full of negative attitude, as if we were joking. Our orders were simple, no more than two items per. Once we finished ordering, he said, "well you're just going to have to give me a minute." Which threw us off because we'd not asked him for a price or to read the order back. I'm dissatisfied with what I ordered but I don't believe that will stop me from getting their pizzas. Maybe they should just cut the menu down some. If only they'd lower their prices too. read more

I'm new to the area and needed a good cheese fix. I found Shasta Pizza Company online and placed my order. I had no problems placing my order. 15 minutes later my bomb pizza was here. I just wanted a basic extra cheese, 1/2 bacon and pepperoni. This was the fastest pizza experience of my life. I ordered at 9:05 and was done inhaling by 9:35. I used to order from them a lot too because they are close. I stopped ordering from them because I also got sick of the snotty little twerps that are always working there. The LAST time I ordered from them my pizza was delivered over an hour after promised and was cold. I called to complain and the first thing that I got was someone arguing with me that I was wrong. I offered to bring my cel phone to them to see exactly when I called in the order and when I called to check on it. After telling them that I would no longer be ordering from them, they offered me a discount coupon for next time. just went to shasta pizza and they tried to say our tax was 7 bucks on a 23 dollar purchase . also each time we try to use a coupon they still want to charge us the same price . and several yrs back my teenage daughter at the time tried to pay the delivery guy and she accidentally gave him a 100 dollar bill but she thought it was a 20 and when he said do you want change and she of course said no thinking she was giving him like dollar tip instead she really gave him like a 80 dollar tip. we called right away and tell them about the mistake and they denied the whole thing . dont order from these crooks concerned consumer read more

If I could give no stars I would! I remember this place being the best a few years ago when I lived here. I live in Oregon now but visit redding about twice a month and normally make this my first dinner choiceI ordered a pizza and the girl with red hair said it would be 20 minutes so I ran an errand in the mean time. I got back half hour later and she said another 10 minutes or so. So after an hour I asked for my money back so I could go elsewhere. (I had my sick 4 year old who REALLY wanted pizza for dinner with me) then she went behind the counter to check on my order where I could see her say "that lady is a bitch." I told her I could hear her say I was a bitch an the guy with the hat and shaggy hair came up and told me to calm down because "they're busy and they're trying to run a business." I understand when you're busy at a pizza place (I used to manage one!) but at no point is it acceptable to call your customer a bitch, especially when all I asked was for my money back after it had taken 40 minutes longer than she originally told me. Nobody ever said they were the manager or did anything about the little red head. The only person who even was concerned about losing my business was the guy with long hair. So that sign that says "if we don't take care of our customers someone else will" next to the door is true. I'm writing this from round table where I've had a great experience so far. read more

Being new in town, we just recently started going there.....their pizza is awesome. We had an unusually long wait the first time, but since then it's pretty fast. But we just tried their sandwiches this last week and again tonite! Only one word-----------AMAZING!!!!!! The bread is crusty homemade french bread--the BEST ever, and they use real turkey breast and real pastrami instead of putting some nitrite saturated deli slices on there.....the lettuce is real leaf lettuce instead of the treated with preservitives shredded stuff that hurts your tummy.... Both of my kids ( 9 and 11) said we're done with Subway, this is a sandwich to get excited about!!!!!!!!!! And the staff is just as good---they were all watching a football game as they worked, and went out of their way to greet and go all out for each customer that came and went while we waited.
