The shaved ice was incredibly soft and fluffy, without being overly sweet. The Honey Dew Pandan had a nice balance of creamy pandan and fresh melon, it reminded me of the melona ice cream bar. The café had a trendy, lively atmosphere that made it a fun place to hang out and enjoy dessert. The staff were friendly and helpful, answering our questions and making us feel welcome throughout our visit. What stood out most was the texture of the shaved ice. I'd definitely come back to try more flavors when I'm around the area and would recommend Mewame Dessert to anyone looking for a delicious bingsu spot

I never imagined ice could be so soft, fluffy, and full of flavor--it literally melts in your mouth. I fell in love after the very first bite. Ever since I found this place, I've been coming here almost every day. My favorite is the chocolate bingsu, but honestly, every flavor I've tried has been amazing. I've had bingsu at a few other places in Koreatown, but Mewame is by far my favorite. The quality, presentation, and taste are on another level. The café is spotless, cozy, and beautifully designed, and I love the location too. 20/10--absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

You don't feel like you're eating shaved ice! You feel like you're eating a fluffy cloud! When you walk in, you are greeted by kiosks where you place your order. You don't have much interaction with the staff other than than they calling out your number when your order is ready Only downside is they were playing music way too loud! The store itself had maybe 1-2 other parties inside... but the music was too loud we practically had to yell at each other to MAYBE hear the person right next to us. I definitely was not a fan of that vibe. The dessert itself though was phenomenal

It also sucks because if you want more of the milk topping you have to pay extra, sooo :/ Otherwise, I loved it and I'll definitely be back to try the other flavors!

We ordered taiyaki, hotteok, ginger tea, and chamomile tea to share. Unfortunately, the ginger tea was too sweet--it was almost impossible to drink. Ginger tea should have a natural ginger flavor, but the sweetness completely overpowered it. It also seemed like the café might have changed owners because the menu looked a little different. What surprised me the most was how much their tea service had changed. In the past, when you ordered tea, it was served in a glass teapot with matching glass teacups so everyone could share. Now they said they only have paper cups, and each person has to order their own tea separately, similar to how Starbucks serves drinks. That was the most disappointing part of the visit. I went there expecting the same experience as before, but it was completely different, which was quite surprising. I was also disappointed with the outdoor seating. They used to have comfortable cushioned sofas outside, but they've all been replaced with hard metal chairs and tables which made the outdoor seating much less comfortable.

IT WASN'T TOO SWEET!! I loved how it had all the aspects of a mango sticky rice which really completed the dish. I've only ordered to-go through someone, so I can't speak for ambiance but it's an extremely busy lot, so if you live near & want to enjoy in the comfort of your own home, it may be best to plan ahead, bring ice box, take multiple ppl so one can order/pick up & other can stay in the car if there's no parking. We've tried the mango stinky rice sundae (must order), Thai tea lemonade- basically cha manaow (can skip), mango sticky rice drink (pretty good if you're looking for drink version of the sundae but can be off putting texture to some), Thai tea shaved ice (melted so fast so wasn't very enjoyable), pandan toast (a lil dry but good w gelato), & gelatos: mango (good staple), coconut milk butterfly pea (yummy/creamy perfect w mango sorbet), jasmine matcha (good choice), pandan milk (strong flavor creamy yummy), earl grey Thai tea (top 3), hojicha crunch (#1), & Thai tea coffee (eh ok just coffee). All the gelatos were shining stars it just depends on preference; very thick, flavorful, & creamy. I've tried 3x in the past 2 months but will be back for more~

We get is the Matcha Croffle + Ice Cream, Matcha Einspanner, Taro Einspanner, and their cakes. Only thing I knocked down a star is because Not all the workers know the answers to your questions of what is in what food item or if you can substitute the milks. So that's something Cafe Upper should train all staff. Especially if people have food allergies.

We were greeted by a friendly hostess who took our order and told us to look for any spot we'd like. The Dan Dan noodles came out quick and was delicious. The noodles had a nice chewy texture and the thick peanut sauce and chili oil that coated it made it super scrumptious. The freshness of the cucumber and herbs cutting through the rich sauce balanced it out. The pan fried pork buns however were rather forgettable. The meat was juicy but I was left wanting more flavour in both the meat and the buns. I also wish the bottoms were a bit crispier. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to try their breakfast menu and other items though. Because peeking at the other tables they offerings looked delicious.
