I'm always honest when I write any of my reviews. This one that was a little bit hard for me. I always see it on social media and everyone always talking about it. Now keep in mind we went on a Saturday in the afternoon. We were the only people there. I was surprised to find out the place opens till 3:30 in the morning!! The place can use a little bit of extra cleaning on the tables and the floors. The food is really good! I feel like it's overpriced, that's just my opinion. The chicken Shawarma salad is pretty big no lie! It was really good. I wish they had it in a different kind of container where it wasn't so flimsy. A can of soda was $3.25. Just a can! No cup no ice the soda was cold though. It was nice to see the Meat cut outside. Will I be back probably not. I hated seating there listening to the music that was pretty religious. I mean, you can keep the same Middle Eastern music, but not religious. It kills the vibe. Anyhow, check it out for yourself.

Great shawerma but be prepared to wait! The shawerma here is great and halal and its usually always busy for a reason. I usually get the chicken loca and I try getting the 24 inch since its a better value, but that leads me to price where this place is quite pricey for a shawerma wrap. The flavors are great tho, the chicken is perfectly cooked and the wrap was perfectly made.

Food here was awful! Service is non existant. Theres a self serve kiosk that doesn't really explain what your dish comes with, you can only add what you don't want. It's just terrible. Menu is confusing. Extremely overpriced for what you receive. There's no hummus or falafel or anything that you'd expect from a standard typical Mediterranean food place. The soggy fries were terrible. The place was empty but our two plates still took 20 minutes to come out. There was a homeless guy asking for food and whoever was in the kitchen seemed more attentive and gave him food before ours. I wouldn't recomend eating here.

My cousin has been talking about this place and we finally tried it out. I decided to get the 24" chicken loca/beef combo plate. The combo plate comes with fries, garlic sauce, mixed pickled veggies and coleslaw. I really liked their boom sauce the most. As for the wrap, I would get the chicken again. The beef was also flavorful but I preferred the chicken. I wish their garlic sauce was more garlicky since it was a bit bland for my liking. My cousin also got the boom boom cocktail. I think the base is a banana smoothie since that's what it tasted to me. I loved the fruit toppings it came with aong with the nuts and cream. The cocktail was not too sweet and everythign paired well. The worker also gave my nephew a sample of their fruit punch which was yummy. Overall, the food was good, service was great and there's plenty of seating inside.

Perfect place for lunch or brunch. Very divey and service was fast. I love the vibe it's fun and also great art all around. I will definitely be back and highly recommend for a quick bite. So many yummy food and drink options!

Shawarma late night vibes. Definitely one of those places you hit up after a night painting the town. The shawarmas are huge!! The loca sauce gives it a kick and makes every last bite worth it. Although, I do have to say that chicken is a little dry. Was expecting something a little more on juicy and tender side. It was still tasty but, at times chewing on the chicken made it seem like it sitting for a little longer then it is suppose to, I definitely want to come back and hope to get a better chewing experience. Overall though, the service was good and that sauce was on point.

This place has been my go to spot for a WHILE now. I easily go 1-2 times a week even though its a 20 minute drive with no traffic. The food is ADDICTING and I can never get enough apparently. You gotta try it. I always get the chicken boom combo with extra garlic. Do not miss out on this place! read more

I love middle eastern food and was excited to try out Shawarma Loca after being recommended by a friend. The place itself has the classic middle eastern vibe with the high chairs and vibrant colorways. The service was pretty fast and nice people at the registers. The food is undeniably good, but it does come with a slightly steeper price tag. If you're a die-hard Middle Eastern food enthusiast like me, it's definitely worth giving it a try. So I came to this place and it's a little pricey but I still get the combo with fries. Except...where are the fries??? Looks like they hand picked a few and dropped them in what is this?? Hate to do this. But this is the second time I've eaten here and now I have been sick all day. Again. Went around 1 PM and there was only one guy working there who was dealing with the customers and preparing the food. The chicken and meat that were on the Spits were clearly old probably from yesterday and the sandwiches were dry and tasted bad. You can tell they were old. Not to mention the table we sat at was filthy. It's as if the entire sandwich was just thrown into a microwave and served to us. Drove over an hour to come here and left Extremely disappointed and definitely will not be back. read more

Went there to introduce my American husband to the authentic shawarma. I was really disappointed. First They gave us the sandwich in a greasy bags from outside and sandwich were dripping inside. The garlic dipping is just starch and cheap oil. The meat doesn't taste like Shawarma meat at all it's just meat. The meat was clearly not marinated in any shawarma spices or shawarma souce before like it supposed to.If you Haven't tasted the real Shawarma in the Middle East, like Syria or Turkey, then you could be deceived to believe that this is Shawarma, but this is actually a poor meat sandwich. They don't even put enough meat in it. Plus the pita bread is Dowie. You might be satisfied if you have never been introduced to shawarma. read more

I literally had to wait in line for over an hour to get 3 sandwiches and when I finally got my order it was wrong. I understand if gets busy but get a process in place. Before I put in my order I asked how long the wait was and I was told 30 mins and it turned into 90 minutes with a wrong order, you guys just lost a regular customer. read more

RIP OFF!!!! This place is a scam First I had to wait 1 hour+ to get the 24inch combo. When I opened the box I found a hair in my food. I informed the staff which they just completely ignored me and didn't offer any compensation. Also I noticed the same people handling the money are the same people cooking and preparing the food. Didn't wash hands or change gloves. I was also given incorrect change for my order and same thing I brought it to the staffs attention and they ignored me. I also got incredibly ill the next day from the food. The three best words to describe this establishment is Unsanitary, unhealthy, and Expensive for how little food they give you. I will definitely not be coming back. Again This place is a scam!! read more

This place has gone downhill since they moved into a physical store. I used to visit the food truck weekly and I finally got a chance to go to the store. Received my sandwich and there was no garlic sauce and the bread wasnt dipped into fat and crisped up like it normally is. They had one employee dealing with all the orders so I assume they were trying to cut corners to speed things up. I think the place has become too busy and quality control had to suffer. What was once the best authentic shawarma place is now just a tortilla with chicken and some sauce in it. read more

Best shawarma in SoCal? OC? Who are these people? I'm confused. I get it, it's a truck so I wasn't expecting the world. Took a while to finally get to order, also waited a while until we got the food. Just disappointed. It's literally just garlic paste and chicken wrapped in a tortilla.. Fries, a side of sad pickled vegetables and a little container of coleslaw which honestly was the best part. The beef is better than the chicken, but hate to say its still no contender. Didn't get the sauces on the side I asked for and the "garlic paste" that comes with it just tastes like mayo. We came here for the first time and honestly would probably never return. We ordered our food and the person taking our order was in a million different places and then told us that he wasn't listening so he didn't take our second part of our order... We waited more than 30 min for our food that was still given to the wrong person and then had to wait for our order to be remade. When we FINALLY got our food it was cold, not like slightly warm or anything but completely cold and still the order was wrong. We got two different orders, I got chicken and my partner got beef and we got opposite of what we ordered. The chicken/beef was good but dry, cheese was completely stuck together you can literally peel it off. The owner was there walking around posting on instagram yelling "boom boom" asking "where the energy was", he was nice but selective to who he was attentive to. The place itself was very loud, a lot of people in and out so if you're looking for somewhere quiet or even a calm place to eat don't come here. read more

They are in a small strip mall next to a laundromat and nail salon and now there's a coffee place as well. There's outdoor seating that's gated, a long the west side of the building. I used to work in the area and we would order from Walker's almost 3 to 5 times a week for various meeting and training's so I'm a Walker's regular. I'm happy to report the same crew still works there and remembers me so it's great to know the consistency and quality are still there! I would definitely recommend getting a sandwich here versus a chain sandwich shop.

Alright, so you guys want a review about this sweatshop, I got you. Let's go ahead and begin from the start of the experience step by step. I went ahead and went to the cashier to order my usual shawarma mix box.. "itll be $21.42 sir, okay great, here is my chase freedom flex card so you could charge for me for this food" "No we only take cash" "Oh that's weird, I was just here a couple weeks ago and I paid with my card no problem, I don't really carry cash" "no problem, you can just zelle us" Now as soon as I heard "either zelle or cash," I thought to myself wow I knew businesses hid income from the IRS but I never thought they'd do it this openly and confidently... whatever, do you, here is the zelle, thanks for keeping taxpayer money safe in your vault. Your order number is 51. Awesome. I am sitting and waiting, 5 minutes turned into 10 turned into 30 turned into 50. I am sitting and looking at the huge Palestinian flag they have hung up behind the counter and just thinking I can probably go free palestine and come back and my food will still not be ready. An hour and 20 minutes later, sir here is order number 51, "great" I am muttering to myself as I am ready to dive in... or so I thought. I open up my box to find nothing but chicken and not the mix like I ask. I go inside and show them my receipt and let them know I ordered a mix and I received all chicken. I swear to the allah that they have banners of up on all their walls, I was met by two children not older than my cousins take the order from me and go try to fix my issue. The little girl comes back to me and tells me "there is no problem with your food" I tell her, "no honey, I ordered a mix like my receipt says here but I got just chicken" and I swear to you, she said "yes so what's the problem" Now I am not gonna get into a debate with a child that probably has to go home and do her multiplication tables due tomorrow, so I ask her to go get an adult. Her slightly older brother comes in and I explain the situation and definitely feel heard now that I am speaking to a 5th grader and not a 4th grader. The mother comes in because at this point this is looking like "what kind of pedophilia tactic is this" to the other people right?? I mean I know their prophet was bedding a 9 year old but that's not our way. The mother then asks the situation and I tell her and she said well its a 15 minute wait time for the beef and that is why we just gave you chicken. Now I am thinking if FIFTEEN MINUTES really bothered you this much, what about the hour 20 I did wait? Why assume another 15 was gonna be my 13th reason and so you gave me the food you thought I wanted. They fix it, whatever. Here is the fixed order, "great can i get some napkins?" "no theres already some in the bag" "I understand, I'd like a couple more because i tend to be a messy eater" "No when you need more come get more" Alright.. they're just napkins whatever. I go open up my box to see a HEALTHY serving of fries, and by healthy I mean they try their best to keep you healthy because they only give you 6 fries. I eat my shawarma, and as I am leaving I see a guy who just ordered 10 minutes ago go up and ask for an update on his food and i just can't help but look and laugh. I let him know to go order an appetizer elsewhere because that optimism isn't gonna get him anywhere here. La ilah ila allah as their banner says because that's exactly what I am thinking every time i deal with their customer service.. I mean i thought eating in the middle east was unclean, but seeing the children with their bare hands and no masks go make my food just put the cherry on top for me. This business has violated every code in the health code, business code and tax code all in one visit with one customer. God bless them... sorry no allah bless them. read more

On August 4rth at 10:30 pm I stopped in for a quick bite, from the moment I walked in I had an uneasy feeling. But as I hadn't eaten all day from working I had to eat something. I waited in line about a half hour, the unkempt fat lady behind the counter was yelling "Next" to move the line. The reason the line wasn't moving was because the guy at later time came to find out his name ( FARES ) filthy stinky unshaved beard behind the counter was hitting on some young Asian girl telling her the whole history of the Shravana and pretending to be the king of shawarma ignoring customers. Finally it was my turn and I ordered the Beef Shawarma Sandwich and 20 minutes later I got my food and it was Chicken instead of beef. I brought it to the attention of the fat obnoxious lady behind the counter and rather then remake the sandwich, the lady started arguing about my order. As we went back and forth, I explained I paid for a Beef Sandwich and you gave me chicken, why argue? The guy behind the counter got involved and the lady told him I was crazy. Finally, they made me the correct sandwich, but only after 10 minutes of arguing. Not to my surprise, the food was as nasty as the lady's attitude. These people are in the food service business, there should have total respect for the customers because we keep the doors open. They need to learn some manners here and not treat people like garbage, the worst part is if you dare to ask for a glass of water they will yell at you as if you have committed a crime and force you into buying a bottle of water such scammers not to mention it's against health rules not to serve water as curtesy most restaurants treat customers well that is why they endure. But these people act like they are the only shawarma place in the world. Poor. character Get your heads out of your butts and learn customer service. most likely this lady comes from a Getto back round never seen money in her life and now she thinks Shes a big shot selling shawarma . If you're going to have a garbage attitude at the very least make a good product. By far the worst shawarma experience!! I ordered the 12 inch combo and 24 inch combo, when I opened the boxes I couldn't tell which is which! You would think the 24inch would be visibly bigger than a 12 inch, but they looked like the same exact amount of food!!! Both orders seemed like a 12inch... seriously what a scam! And how does a double only cost $5 more??? It does not make sense. The sandwiches were not all full with chicken. The salad cup was only half full, like why?? You're charging $15/$20!!! I would've put everything I mentioned above past me, if the place was clean. After I ordered, I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. The bathroom was disgusting, it almost felt like an abandoned bathroom at a gas station in the middle of nowhere. The bathroom was dirty with no soap, toilet paper, paper towel, and there was a big black plastic bag sitting on the toilet with a bottle in it. I felt disgusted! Inside the restaurant all the tables were clearly dirty and the glass had smudges all over it (keep in mind we got there at 6:30 and they open at 5 and the restaurant was empty. Clearly, cleaning is not part of their opening or closing duties!!!!). We decided to sit outside hoping it would be cleaner, outside was even worse! There was DIRT everywhere, spider webs, tables not wiped down. It honestly gave me abandoned place vibes and I'm not exaggerating sadly! The worst restaurant ambiance I have ever experienced! They have zero respect for their customers by not doing the bare minimum to maintain sanitation. I felt like I was about to vomit through out the experience (I'm not kidding, I almost did). I will never come back again. This place used to be one of my favorite when they sold food out of a truck, now it's a dump where they over charge for food but fail to maintain minimal sanitation standards. I can't even imagine what happens in the kitchen, GROSS! Never recommending this place to anyone or eating there ever again!! read more

If you're in Anaheim and craving something fresh, flavorful, and satisfying, Shawarma Loca is the place to be! I tried both the beef and chicken shawarma, and they were incredible - juicy, perfectly seasoned, and wrapped up with the right balance of sauces and veggies. I came across Shawarma Loca on social media and it seemed like a fun and different take on shawarma. The talk of coal grilled shawarma had me excited for a unique flavor, but during our weekend visit, it was the standard gas stove setup. Not a big deal, just a different from what I was expecting. The food itself was good, although they went for an unconventional move--serving it on a chopped-up flour tortilla, divided into six pieces. I prefer the traditional pita or a heartier bread, so that was a bit unexpected. We got the 24' Shawarma's which were 2 sandwiches, cut up served with hot potato wedges and some veggies. One letdown was the zaytun (olives). Hoping for something with that unique middle eastern brine and saltiness, but they were just your typical canned black olives, like the ones you'd find on pizza. A bit disappointing on the flavor front. Overall, I'd rate it a respectable 4 out of 5. Visiting from AZ and decided to try Shawarma Loca after seeing the reviews online. Well, it is easy to say the place did not disappoint by no means at all. This is certainly one of the best shawarma we've had on the west coast. We tried both the chicken and beef shawarma with the different sauces they have. Both are amazing and we loved the Loca and Boom sauces. Took the recommendation from one of the guys there for a fresh fruit juice and his mix was a winner with the kids. What was nice as well is the friendliness and care presented by the team, it's becoming harder to find restaurant owners and staff that actually care and go the next step to attend to their clients. They do a great job both taste and authenticity of the shawarmas. i get both beef and chicken everytime and it is remarkable. I'm not even from Cali, but before I visit Cali I always make every effort to come to this place and eat my heart out. garlic sauce is authentic and delicious. I would come from more than a thousand miles for this place. i talked to the owner and they brought the recipe from Jordan itself. As a Syrian I'd say it is very close if not the exact replica of Jordanian Syrian and many Arab countries' shawarmas. I have been to many states and it is truly rare to find this authentic taste anywhere. this is the first review I have ever written about any restaurant and I'd have to say this is the best shawarma place in California. read more

The restaurant was not busy, but the seating options were very limited. There were only a couple of booths and a few high tables with thin metal stools, with no regular, comfortable seating available. We ended up sitting outside, where the table was cold and wet, and the seating was uncomfortable, especially the metal chairs. Because of this, we weren't able to fully enjoy our meal and left before finishing. We ordered the chicken shawarma, which was delicious, and the food itself was good. Unfortunately, the uncomfortable seating and cold setup took away from what could have been a great dining experience. I visited a the restaurant and I was blown away by the excellent service provided by the juice bar employee I think his name Mo or something like that. Despite it being late in the day, his sunny disposition and kind demeanor never wavered. Not only was he incredibly skilled at making delicious juices, but he also made sure to take the time to chat with each customer and make them feel welcome. It's rare to encounter someone with such a positive attitude and genuine kindness, and I left the restaurant feeling uplifted and grateful for the experience. Guys... don't go here. I'm serious. This place is dangerous. The food is so ridiculously delicious it should be illegal. First, they hit you with the new chicken tenders -- crispy outside, juicy inside, perfectly seasoned. Then, just when you think you're safe, they throw Nutella with Knafeh and Dubai chocolate at you. 1 star cuz the owner is so cheap charges you 25 for a meal and the sandwiches dont even have meat filled in properly, bland flavor quality of food went down plus take 20-30.mins to get your order they forget about the single customers waiting people alone but prefer to serve groups since they want more $$$$$ they use flower tortilla and the garlic sauce is not authentic they use corn starch and garlic flavoring lol cash only to hide from the government lol to be honest its just all hype and advertising go down the street and check out SHAWARMA PLUS BETTER they pack the sandwiches there read more

The guy at the front desk is very nice and cool Sharma Loca is hands down one of the best local spots in Anaheim! Let me tell you about shawarma loco this was the best food I've ever had the guys are great professional but more importantly they are friendly and make you feel like family.
