Brisket, jalapeno sausage, spoon bread, and green chili mac and cheese
    Chad P.

This place was so great...such a gem to eat at. I'm really glad I tried it. You order at the window and they bring it to your table when it's ready. No frills and an easy menu to order from. I had the jalapeno sausage, brisket, spoon bread, and green chili mac and cheese. I was blown away from all of it! Jalapeno sausage was full of flavor and almost didn't need any sauces. Brisket was perfect and went well with all of the sauces. Green chili mac and cheese was so good and full of flavor. Lastly, the spoon bread was a great way to finish it off. It was just so smooth and full of flavor. I really left this place full and happy. And I definitely hope to return someday soon!

Great service friendly atmosphere, the pulled pork Sammie with pimento cheese and coleslaw is absolutely amazing! I look forward to trying more items from here!

The 1st time we came to Shigs in Pit, we got into Fort Wayne 5 minutes after they closed. We were so intrigued by the name, we knew we had to return. Fast forward to a year later, I had business in Fort Wayne again, so we made sure we got into town early and we were not disappointed. I had 10 of the baked Buffalo chicken wings and my wife had the two meat plate, chosing Jalapeno sausage and Beef Brisket. The chicken wings were cooked to perfection and their version of the Buffalo sauce was different than any I had tried. It was sweeter than spicy and was quite delicious. My wife enjoyed the Jalapeno sausage, but the brisket was a little dry. The Green Chillies Mac & cheese and spoon corn bread were outstanding. The people here are all wearing mask and social distancing is evident, with tables closed off. All in all, we had a pleasant and safe experience and will be back.

Nice spot. 3 locations in town! Brisket was well seasoned. Maybe a touch too salty? Shredded pork had a big flavor too. A delight to eat. The mac n cheese was seasoned with green pepper to give it a little kick! The cornbread was soft and just a little sweetness. 2 great sides. Have to buy the rub to try on my chickens. #spicemeister approved.

What a great place for some good food. Loved the whole set up they had inside. Great selection of foods with some unique sides that are delicious. I had pulled pork, burnt end brisket, apple pie baked beans and their French fries! We finished with some dessert and that was so yummy (lemon curd pie)

This is one of those spots that you have to try. Fast, friendly window service. The brisket was the best I ever had. The sides were good but the BBQ was great!

With a name like that, how could you NOT want to try this place???

Pretty great BBQ joint in Fort Wayne--who knew!!! Our party of five sampled a little bit of just about everything and we were absolutely not disappointed. Unfortunately, they were out of burnt ends on our visit (which is reason enough for me to go back someday), but the brisket, chicken, pulled pork and ribs were all smokey good. However, my favorite part of the meal was the "corn bread", which is really more like a corn casserole, but completely delicious. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, family meal feel--all great things at Shigs in Pit!

She made great recommendations and helped us decide based on our time constraints. She was attentive and gave us a lot of information about the food, live music, DJ and art for sale on all the walls. We weren't super hungry, so we tried the flatbread - sooo good. I will be back because the whole menu, including the drinks, sound wonderful. They offered zero spirit, GL and other substitutions if needed which is nice. The atmosphere has a moody, darker hang out vibe to it. I loved it and can't wait to bring some friends and family back! She recommended reservations on the weekends, especially on "First Fridays" as that's when they do events and an art crawl on Broadway when the weather is nice. We parked on the street in front of the building so I'm not sure if there is a parking lot. They do have outdoor seating as well in the front of the building. I remember when this location was a food co-op waaaaaaay back in the day. They did a great job transforming it into a relaxing bar and restaurant. We will go back and I highly recommend you check it out!

But then you're presented with this shiny chandelier, illuminating this wide chamber, and hovering over a smooth, curved bar. The sides of this huge dining space are lined with dining tables, and walls lined with artwork, making the name quite appropriate. Subtle haloes of light dot the ceiling, and the color palette of the place (besides that big ol' chandelier) is dark, cool, and easy on the eyes. I took a seat at the main bar and was served within minutes. I enjoyed some light pop, rap, and classic rock tunes bumping in the background while I sipped on a delightful Smoked Apple Reserve. Every sip was a punch of sweetness, followed by an air of smokiness, and just a splash of herby aftertaste. It was however, not the kind of drink you could chug, so I sipped slowly throughout my meal. I'll have to come back for the appetizers, as I hear they're the star of the show, but neither the flatbreads nor the traditional bar-fare excited me. Thanks to Yelp though, I learned of the Blueberry and Brie Grilled Cheese, which I'd initially dismissed due to my dislike of Brie - the cheese and her portrayal of Captain Marvel, let's be honest. But I gave it a chance and ~woah~ it was something else. First of all, it's a perfectly cooked grilled cheese, with a flaky, crunchy exterior and addictingly cheesy inside, however I was ~taken aback~ by the flavor. I think I honestly had a Ratatouille moment, where that flavor of berry compote transported me to my childhood, chowing down on blueberry pancakes on Friday morning before school. At the same time, it doesn't dominate the flavor profile - it adds a subtle and satisfying sweetness to the creamy richness of the melted Brie, and it does it oh so well. The plentiful pieces of proscuitto provided some palatable protein, while also being a contrast in flavor and feel to the Berry and Brie. The fries were a little heavy on the straight potato flavor and not so much on seasoning and salt, but some garlic aioli did the trick there. The service was superb and the atmosphere was nothing like I've experienced in this city. I didn't expect to love this place as much as I did, but I can't wait to come back to try more apps, drinks, and return to that beautiful blueberry and brie...

The Beer Garden is a nice place to hang out while you wait. Though the seats are all wood and low to the ground. The Philly Steak and cheese was piled high with tender and moist beef. Not a lot of seasoning to the meat. The au jus provided some enhanced beef flavoring. The bun was relatively soft while maintaining a toughness that made it nice to dip without falling apart. I thought the sandwich would come with more peppers and ooze with cheese, but it did not. The Mac & cheese was just kinda there. It didn't do much to ramp up the tastes. The noodles were very soft - almost squishy. There was a mild amount of sauce to the noodles. I would prefer more...enough that you would want to dip the bread in the leftover sauce. The cheddar cheese that laid on top didn't stick to the noddles...it just peaked off. My wife loved her Burrito Americana sandwich. Lots of moist chicken and fresh fillings. Overall there are plenty of simple and diverse things on this menu! The Deck had plenty of help to move people along. Though they didn't push you out.
