This is like our #1 place to go eat. I could eat sushi every day of my life, pair that with the word "buffet" and i'm in heaven. No, this is not the best sushi you'll ever have. BUT, its pretty great. If you go for dinner you can also choose from several types of sashimi which usually taste and look very fresh. I don't usually get salads, hot food, habachi, or desserts, but they've been pretty good overall whenever I have ventured around those areas. The service is exactly what I want in a buffet: fast and quiet. I appreciate the fact that the waitresses really only come around to pick up plates, and that they usually try to do it while you're up getting more food. Shinju Buffet has several locations. My favorite was the one in Boca, but it appears it has closed down. Whenever I'm down in South, FL I love eating here for their lunch or dinner buffet. The lunch price is an absolute great deal. The "all you can eat" sushi and sashimi here has a wide variety of options. They do also have hot options as well. The quality of the fish here feels alot more premium than the economical $10 buffets around. You may pay a few dollars more, but the value is excellent and the quality is incredible. read more

The place is very clean, has a huge turn over, so everything is very fresh. Tons of rolls. Are they as creative as some sit down sushi places? No, but they are still good and they usually do add new ones from time to time - like triple tuna, my latest fave there with spicy tuna & regular tuna. Others include dragon, rainbow, shinju, dynamite....all pretty standard. At dinner sashimi includes salmon, tuna (regular, seared, & white). Also some salads: seafood, seaweed, conch. There is also hibachi, crab legs, shrimp....tons of variety! The servers are friendly. They take away plates quickly and don't give you dirty looks if you did not finish your food or left your sushi rice! They have a small selection of "chinese" food, some fresh seafood (shrimp, mussels or oysters, and AYCE crab legs for dinner), hibachi, and a huge selection of sushi. Everything was really fresh. They were popping out sushi like a sushi making factory. They were quick! Everytime something was running low, it was replaced with more or a different roll. Most of the rolls are average, like most other sushi joints. But every now and then I would come across one that I loved. Literally got me saying, "damn, that is friggin' good". I can't really say the same for the Chinese hot foods section. Even for a busy Saturday lunch, many items would run out and wasn't replaced right away. They should really work on the turnover for that section. The seafood is fresh. I think it's more worth it for dinner so you get AYCE crab legs. The hibachi is pretty good as well. The dessert section, well it's pretty lacking. The cookies were stale and the ice cream was completely melted. If that isn't the case during your visit, I would recommend the red bean ice cream (with chunks of red bean in it) and the green tea. I came in around 9:45 - and only had 15 minutes till they stopped putting stuff out but they said we still had 45 min to eat. Cool. Down. None of the sushi was good unfortunately. The raw fish on the sashimi and nigiri were surprisingly generous. We love the specialty rolls too. Even the Chinese section doesn't look disappointing (usually any fusion / mix with Chinese buffers offer oily low quality Chinese food, not here). They had lots of options for food crab legs,crawdads, shrimp and muscles. They also had typical things like fried rice, lo mein, bourbon chicken etc. In addition they also had a made to order hibachi grill which was amazing my husband said his steak was cooked extremely well and was flavorful. They had a decent dessert bar but not great. I would recommend if it was a lower price but at $24.99 a person unless you're going to eat a lot of sushi or grab probably not worth it. They have a section of sushi (my favorite) and theirs all sorts of sushi. They always have a back with the usual Chinese meats and fried items like fried shrimp, chicken wings and dumplings and soups. They also have a section with a hibachi type food like chicken and steak and shrimp with veggies. Also have a section of seafood like shrimp and mussles. And last but not least have all sorts of fruits and desserts and ice cream. Their not always super fresh but they are worth the price and when it is fresh pretty tasty! The overall price is around $13. And for all you can eat that is a very good prices. Especially for the quality of the food. Right as me and my roommates walked in we had one goal in mind. That was to get on the photo wall. So I grabbed a toothpick and grabbed my first plate, the warmup plate. Dived head first into the ginger salad and miso soup. After that I hustled over to the lo mein and threw some coconut shrimp and sesame chicken, which was decent. It did the job, so to speak. After that I inched over to the sushi station which had a plethora of cooked and uncooked options of all shapes and sizes. After I shoved as much rolled up fish into my mouth as possible I crawled over to the hibachi station where chef threw down an absolute classic of chicken broccoli and onion for the boy. I added some fried rice and spicy Mayo and threw that plate down like an MLB pitcher. To end the night I grabbed a rainbow bowl and made SURE to get the cookies and cream ice cream with a little slice or two or five of the chocolate fudge cake. Then I respectfully smashed it like a ufc fighter. After it was all said and done and this absolute squad of a team had an outstanding performance, a Gilbert Arenas in 2006 like performance. We walked up the front and expected to be greeted by the photographer but sadly we were mistaken. All there was, was some vintage beers and a card reader looking us in the face. But. On arrive, I recommend a initial tour to see where to start and where you want to get to on this visit. usually start with a plate of the fusion sushi and soup but you do have the traditional sushi and sashimi too. My second pass is to the hibachi and maybe something from the hot bar. Lastly, I save room for the crab legs but there is plenty more on the raw bar.
