We had a wonderful lunch in the fall . I had their spin on scampi and it was delicious, there was kale in a lovely garlic sauce. . My daughter had the grilled octopus and it was beyond expectations. Cocktails were amazing and The wine by the glass was outstanding. Of course we will go back! We thought... We had dinner there tonight and we're disappointed. My husband ordered the seared scallops & wacame salad, deglazed w/ soy, ginger, veggies and crisp wontons. Everything about his dinner was delicious, except sone of the scallops tasted like ammonia (not fresh ) and they weren't caramelized as a seared scallop should be, but most of them were delicious and not over cooked. The sauce was one of the best I've ever tasted. I had the cast iron " seared" duck breast with sweet potatoes, sun dried cherries. apple, bourbon, honey, demi. Seared duck breast should render the fat so you can eat the skin. I ordered it medium rare and it came raw. I sent it back and it came back a little more cooked but still couldn't eat the skin. The entree came with unusually large, unseasoned sweet potato with the skin, large pieces of unpeeled apple with pieces of kale in a watered down "apple bourbon Demi glacé " it reminded me of a boiled Irish stew with a twist .... Arrived around 5pm, place was still quiet. We ordered appetizers of Mussels (cooked in french onion soup) and crispy squid (calamari). Mussels were good, french onion soup base was better) but the calamari was soft (not crispy) and oily. Bread was good. I ordered the THAI RED CURRY SHRIMP STIR FRY which was ok but bland. My wife ordered the 1/2 rack of lamb which had very little flavor and was a small portion (2 ribs). Servicer was friendly and service was good but the restaurant was slow at the time. Came here after a day of hiking and saw it on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Started with drinks which were awesome. The food was delicious for all 3 courses. The crispy squid was delicious, the swordfish steak and twin lobsters were amazing and the chocolate and tiramisu were fantastic. To top it all off the staff was incredible, our waiter Alec was great, I don't think my water glass ever reached empty. My girlfriend spilled something on her shirt and tried to use some water to clean it off. Within seconds another waiter, who's name we unfortunately didn't get, came over with club soda telling how it works to remove stains. This place was great in all aspects. We will definitely make it a point to come here next time we are in the area. read more

Went in for a birthday dinner. Started out with the coconut shrimp and crab cake. The shrimp had no taste and were gummy. I couldn't even eat them. I was really looking forward to some good coconut shrimp. The crab cake was mostly breading. While it had good flavor , it was just more about the breading than the crab. I ordered the fish and chip. It was not fresh fish and over cooked. This place can use a lessen on how to prepare fish. Someone else in my party ordered the lobster ravioli .They were ok but the sauce on them was too heavy . The steak for the third party was a generous portion and looked fabulous. They said it was chewy and lacking flavor. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Such a great dinner spot. Small and romantic atmosphere. Started with the Thai mussels to share - very good. My husband likes a little spice in a Thai curry but I loved the sweet Thai flavors. I had the rigatoni with sausage meatballs in a tomato cream sauce - so, so good. Velvety sauce, sweet sausage and perfectly al denote cooked pasta. My husband had the NY strip which was delicious. The Ship to Shore burger is fantastic, juicy, stacked high with bacon, cheese,onions, lettuce and tomato ( be prepared: it's sloppy to eat). The food and service were both excellent! We had a shrimp tempura appetizer that was a special, and the crab cake appetizer. The crap cake was perfect and made with lump crab and no filler (like so many restaurants do). Shrimp was lightly battered. Both had excellent sauces that paired perfectly. For entrees we had steak and and scallops - also wonderful and cooked to perfection. For dessert we had chocolate cake with a peanut butter ganache and crème brûlée...again, perfect! Wonderful dirty Kettle ones and Cosmos. Crispy bread from Deisings then New Zealand Lamb Lollipops, Linguini Carbonara and a Gulf Shrimp & Quino salad. With a reservation we lucked out and were seated at the front window, private and romantic. Wonderful flavors, right size portions, never rushed. I had the flat iron steak medium cooked with baked potato and snow peas. Overall the steak was good and I wish I would have ordered it medium rare. The room was a little dark so it's great for a date night. I was with a small group and drinks and appetizers came quick. The room was heated with a draft coming our legs. The beer selection was limited but the wine list on the wall gave a better selection from reds to whites from California and Italy. Coworker has a Zin from CA and he was pleased. Best food we have had to date . I had the poached shrimp in noodle soup . It was extraordinary! All the flavors were dancing on my palette from the ginger broth .
