I've been trying to find a shawarma place for a while, and boy did I strike gold today. Beautiful small family type of spot. This place is AMAZING. The food is easily 5/5 stars; it was fresh and so flavorful. I placed my order through their website which made it easy to add/subtract ingredients from my food. There was no wait when I went to pick up, and the girl behind the counter was nice and asked if I needed utensils when she gave me my food, which was ready to go when I got there! Lets talk about the food though... I ordered a Chicken Souvlaki Sandwich and a Shish Chicken Shawarma Sandwich. That Shish Chicken is INCREDIBLE, just order it, seriously, it's that good. If you're not a big fan of spices, I'm sure the regular Chicken Shawarma is just as good! However, the Chicken Souvlaki was also flavorful and juicy, not dry like other places I've been to. There are a few tables outside and a heat lamp up in the rafters. The young lady taking the orders was very friendly. They unfortunately had ran out of lamb kabobs. I'm thinking maybe covid supply chain issues. They did have the lamb burger so I had that with fries ($14+). From reading the other reviews, some dishes are better than others. The lamb burger was ok. The fries were good and my friend said the soup was very good. Their entree prices do seem on the higher side for a fast casual spot but I understand times have been tough during covid. Overall they seem to be doing well. Ordered Chicken Shawarma from this place right before they were closing last Thursday. They did take the order over phone and when we got there it was 10 mins past the closing time but they waited for us and got us the food. The shawarma was awesome. It was made to order and fresh. The chicken was flavorful the veggies were crunchy and the sauce was good. The fries that came with the meal was also good. It was flavored with some kind of mix that made it tasty. The service here is consistently fast and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. My sons both love the Lavash Wrap; a mixture of ground beef and lamb, spread on pita bread then topped with onions, parsley and their special garlic sauce. What sets this apart from all other wraps is that it's finished on the grill. The pita is crispy on the outside and filled with flavor! The garlic sauce is creamy, garlicky, slightly peppery and very addictive. Plates here are served with rice pilaf and a choice of salad or soup. The soup is a great lentil soup that tastes healthy and not too thick. $13.99 I love the Chicken kebab Salad. The salad is fresh, crisp romaine lettuce with tomatoes, cucumber and red onions. It's topped with a generous serving of tender seasoned chicken breast. I love my big a** salads and this is no exception. I'm so happy to have found not only an authentic Arabic restaurant, but they also have a mini market next door that is filled with Mediterranean ingredients that can be hard to find elsewhere. I've tried the lentil soup, tabbouleh salad, and the falafel wrap that comes with a side of fries. I was impressed with how delicious everything tasted. Today we were looking for something new to try in San Ramon for lunch. We saw Shish Grill and wandered in. The service was excellent, all were very friendly and helpful, with a welcoming ambiance. The food was delicious, great quality, and ample portions! We ordered Shish Combo Plate and Hummus Shewarma; both came with choice of salad or lentil soup and we had the soup which we really enjoyed. This will be our new Mediterranean go-to place and look forward to returning. We really enjoyed our dinner at Shish Grill. It's a very casual order at the counter place. The employees are extremely friendly and courteous. Our order was to go and they packed up all the food nicely in order to make sure items don't spill. We ordered the hummus, lentil soup, beef shawarma sandwich, and chicken kabobs. The food was fresh and very tasty. The only thing I had a problem with was the pita bread sandwich. It gets soggy quickly and the fillings kept falling out. This is probably an item that should be eaten immediately or as close to ordering as possible. It was still delicious though. I just won't eat this around anyone I would be embarrassed being messy in front of, haha. My hands and face were dripping in sauce even though I tried to eat neatly!! The garlic sauce is addicting so I didn't mind! The fries seemed to be beer battered fries and I loved them. They were perfectly cooked and golden brown. Everyone loved the crispiness of the fries! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chicken kabobs were extremely moist. Chicken breast seems to be a challenge for so many places, but Shish Grill knows what they're doing. The only feedback we had was some of the veggies with the kabobs could have been cooked longer. They were bell peppers were very crunchy and pretty much raw. I would ask for them to be cooked longer next time. The hummus with the pita bread was addicting. This is definitely the best hummus I have ever tasted. Try the hummus! I can't say enough about how positive my experience was. Thank you to the wonderful woman behind the register and in the kitchen. I shared that I had never been to the restaurant and didn't know much about Lebanese food. She recommended their spicy chicken as one of their best entrees and told me she'd make a special plate for me so I would be sure to come back. I should have trusted my gut... $20 for a sandwich when said sandwich is soggy, tastes only like tomatoes and onions and took exactly 26 minutes for me to get. You see from my photos they aren't packed. There were 2 people already eating inside and 2 others waiting for orders. I should've just went to the lot. i got takeouts twice from Shish Grill. My boys really like Spicy chicken ( one of their popular dishes). Once i got vegetarian plate for myself with falafel, dolma, hummus and babbaganush. Hummus and BabbaGanush were ok, but i did not like falafels at all, plus i think i got lk only 2 falafels and 2 dolmas. so, the bottom line is i will comeback for spicy chicken dish, but not for veg. plate. Absolutely delicious! I've been here many times and the food is always amazing. Definitely order the hummus, it's magical. I also love the spicy chicken, which isn't too spicy. I normally can't eat spicy food, but I love this dish. Everything is served with yellow rice and a yummy yogurt dip. They have a great outdoor seating area with umbrellas and lots of shade trees. We've lived in the area for a year now and it dawned on us that we hadn't had Lebanese food since arriving. A quick search of Yelp found Shish Grill not too far from our home. We were very happy with the selection of the menu and that vegan items are labeled clearly as such. The fatoush salad was great, although could use a touch more citrus for my liking. I will ask for a bit more on my next visit. The falafel wrap was good with usual toppings. For a real treat, ask for the house hot sauce. It really lights the wrap up if you like things spicy. It seems odd to wirte this for a Lebanese place, but their french fries were great. I don't know if it is the same for all orders, but both orders of fries at our table were fresh fried so they were hot and crispy. Not something I go out of my way to look for, but it was a nice surprise. For the non-fry loving people, note that you can substitute the default fries for a salad or hummus. Lastly, the same family just opened a Lebanese grocry next to the restaurant. If you like what you had there, go next door and you can buy a lot of the sauces, dips, bread, etc. read more

The food was amazing! Luckily came on a Friday to get the Friday special- lamb shank. Ordered the lamb shank, tabouli salad, and the spicy chicken. Spicy chicken was recommended by a server and it did not disappoint. The flavor was amazing, and not too spicy. The tabouli salad was also wonderful, the flavors were so fresh and delicious, one of my favorite dishes ever. The lamb came right off the bone with just using a fork or even fingers, with great spices as well. The rice that the lamb was bedded on was also very flavorful.
