I work here, so some may say I'm biased but I've worked here for almost four years so I take pride in this place. It's almost like a family business because we spend so much time together haha If you are looking to eat here It is guaranteed that everything is fresh, I watch them make it when I work, The hummus, falafel, meat and pretty much everything is made in that kitchen, so you are definitely consuming authentic Mediterranean cuisine. No, we don't serve tap water, but it isn't as appealing, San Antonio sink water has so many minerals in it that when you pour it into a glass it's not that clear, BUT the bottled water is only .99 cents so we're definitely not trying to just take your money, we care about you guys! Service is great. We pride ourselves on trying to give quick and friendly service especially since it's our job, and we must be doing something right because people always keep coming back with smiles on their faces :) Every one is treated with the utmost respect and we see to it that the customers leave happy. There are times when there is a wait for food, drinks or hookahs but it is not unreasonable, just like any other place, if it's busy there will be a wait. Hookahs are a really good price here, 13$ for house flavors and 16$ for premium flavors, and you can mix flavors for no extra charge, which adds up at other places. And what a lot of people don't know is that our hookahs are pretty much new all the time, they get replaced frequently along with the hoses so that you are always smoking out of a clean shisha. The variety of flavors here is phenomenal, we are always getting new flavors that we can't update the menu all of the time, so if you know of something and it's not on there you can always ask and chances are we do have it for you! The atmosphere is great here. If you need to study it's perfect, the tables are huge to put out your books, computer and papers, even at night. If you just want to hang out with your friends, that's cool too. It's the perfect place. Some fridays there is live music, It's a fun kind of party that everyone should enjoy. Eat, smoke and enjoy the music. it's a perfect friday night :) I've been to many Mediterranean places and hookah spots in San Antonio and I can easily say that Shisha is my favorite. This place is AMAZING! I have been coming here since it was a small place with just a few tables. The way they have been able to expand should give you an idea of how great this place is. I love Mediterranean food and this place is the best i have had in a long time. If you are looking for an appetizer, I highly recommend the garlic sauce and freshly baked pita bread. as far as actual meals, this place is unparalleled with the execution of chicken Sharma and chicken tika, paired with the great peach tea, it may be one of the best meals i can think of. I am also an avid hookah smoker and I have been to all the places here in town, but i always find myself coming back to shisha cafe. The hookahas a made to order and with over 25+ flavors, the combinations are nearly endless. The staff is wonderful, I always have great service when I'm here and when the coals are dead, they have someone bringing fresh ones instantly. The staff and management have always been courteous and speedy when I have a question or minor issue. Overall, I would recommend this place highly to anyone looking to have a good time, be social and relax, as well as eat good food and smoke fantastic hookah. Good food, relaxing environment, beautiful scenery, friendly and professional staff, amazing selection of Shisha flavors with an equally amazing array of drink selections, I regularly invite my friends when we're in the mood for a chat. They are always impressed by the amount of people and with the diversity of people that are here. Oh, and the shisha is excellent. My family (wife and 2 daughters) come here all the time and have been for about a year and a half. The owner and staff are always a joy. We always celerate our birthdays here. There is also a collections of regular customers that make the experience more fun. We feel like the folks at Shisha are part of our extended family. I'm not sure what happened with Henry P but we have been and will continue to be regular customers. As far as Sultans, I can't speak personally as I have never been there but word of mouth I've heard is not good. To the owner, Majeed, the upgrades you've made have really made the place nice. Shisha Cafe is our first choice for a fun relaxing evening. I highly recommend this place. read more

I love coming here! I love the atmosphere, the people and THE FOOD! This place I've been going to for quite sometime and I love how the employees are so friendly and they show wonderful customer service. I recommend this place to a lot of people. I have my favorite servers and I always make sure I have them to serve me. I am greeted with a smile with my friends here at Shisha Café. I love to come and mix the shisha flavors up! The hookah there is the best I've ever gotten from anywhere, I will give them that. I love the apple tops they offer and the blends they serve. That being said, the service here has always been the worst. Good luck ordering something after you've already been seated and served. It takes forever to get your server's attention, whether it's for refills, food, or new coal. My girlfriend and I also suspect it's not very gay-friendly either. The food is okay, but it's no Jerusalem Grill (on Ingram). If I can get hookah from Shisha, food from Jerusalem Grill, with better service all around, I'd be a happy camper. read more

Waaaaaaay over priced Mediterranean food! Nothing special about the food. I got a wrap for $6 with 1/3 the amount of meat you would get from a similar restaurant. The music was loud. I am glad I didn't go there with my family. More of a Hooka Cafe than a restaurant. And with these crazy prices no wonder most people are smoking than eating. Customer Service was bad. For such a high price restaurant, they sell caned soda and NO TAP water. Bottles of water are what you would buy from Sams club for .10 cents a bottle sold for close to $2!!! Been coming here for almost 4 years and it's still my favorite place. Even though it's grown so much the past couple of years, it's still such a homey and personal environment. Service is always friendly and the waitresses make a real effort to be personable and get to know you in the time that they have your table. Not to mention, the food and hookah has consistently stayed top notch - especially for the super affordable prices. This is a super awesome place and a great place to chill and hang out with friends. The service is really good and the waitresses are really nice, even when they are busy you might have to wait a little bit for your hookah but that is like any place when they are busy. The food is really good especially the shish tawook and the hummus. I highly recommend this place if you want to just talk and hang out with friends. One of my favorite spots in town! Though I don't come for the smoking (not my thing), my buddies like it and I don't even mind joining them here. Great menu to choose from, TONS of shisha flavors if you're into it - KILLER patio. They play really tacky middle eastern music videos on their TVs most nights (they show spurs on game days!!!), but to me that makes it even more unique and awesome. I have been comming here for a little over two years now...I love this place! The people here are always friendly service here is always fast and top notch! I am so comfortable here that I came here alone. I even work on homework here. I moved away for school and everytime I come into town I always go there with my friends and family like every day!!! My all time favorite hookah bar by far in Texas, I've been to Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio and haven't found one that could beat Shisha Cafe. The food here is really good, and the price is just right. The shisha selection is large and the staff is extremely friendly. This is also the first hookah bar I've ever been too that has a large staff, with 2 to 3 coal guys walking around so you never run out of coals like other hookah bars. read more

Every time we come here, we are greeted by friendly staff, and one seated a server makes sure we're taken care of promptly. It does get very busy at times and the staff still manages to accommodate everyone they serve. The food here is just as good and never fails to fulfill our appetite. This place has good shisha and okay food, but they definitely need to work on their customer service. Every time I went there with my family they had waitresses that seemed to not know anything going on in the restaurant and were very slow to bring out food or even to change the coals for the hookah. It's a very beautiful place to chill and eat but they definitely need to improve on who they hire for customer service. read more

I'm so glad that my favorite place is still open during these times. Shisha always has the best food and uses the best quality of food. The salads are very fresh and their dressing is great. My kids love their Kabab and rice dish as well as the chicken tikka. I really can't pick one favorite dish- they are all just that good. i've been a regular for years and the food is always good, mainly ordering shawarma or mixed kebabs and fries. it's a little bit pricey and there's slight differences each time though. it'd be a great place to invite a friend to try. go with the mixed kebab plate and add a skewer of beef tika. Shisha Cafe is a very authentic Mediterranean experience. I've been to numerous middle eastern countries and I would say my experiences are similar. It's open late, has plenty of parking, offers wifi, food tastes good, hookah is good too if you're into smoking, I enjoy my time there and look forward to being a continued customer, if you want a different experience try this place out. read more
