Pros : Restaurant's interior design, great views, docking for boats , well made cocktails and good food. Cons : Front of house disorganized and unwelcoming , slow service and limited menu with few vegan or seafood choices particularly on the lunch menu. Having visited both Shore restaurants I prefer the one on St. Armands. Having said that, the only time I will return to either is for Sunday brunch which has a much better menu. It is unfortunate they don't also do brunch on Saturday. read more

First of, the place is well designed and a pleasure to experience. Elegant but also very cool. I live in West/ Northwest Bradenton and it is very difficult to find a place with good food, trendy vibes, good music, a cool setting, and a good bar. All within a 15-minute drive. I ordered the Branzino and it was A+. Cooked almost whole, skin on (only way I'll take it), tail intact, but no head and bones. Seasoned nice to where you taste the actual fish. With a citrus salad that is not too tangy or sharp but still sophisticated and not bland. Served on goat cheese polenta, very nicely made. My wife had the salmon and found it amazing. For dessert we had the chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream. Very chocolaty, which worked for me but not for my wife. The vanilla ice cream mitigates that and it worked perfect for me. The service was very quick and very friendly. Even though most all the tables were taken. I wish I remembered our server's name, I would mention her as she was fun but also professional and not obnoxious. The only criticism is that I felt that the presence of fried chicken and meatloaf on the menu kind of dressed the place down. But I didn't try them so I couldn't say, maybe there was a touch of elegance added to them. The water setting, the fire pit tables, the sleek designs, the music, added to the wonderful food, drinks, and service make for the perfect place to go and feel good. You'll be happy you spent your money there. Overall, a very nice, cool, sophisticated place without the pretentiousness of some other more expensive less tasty Michelin star places not far away. I hope this level of restaurant appeals to enough people so that Shore can survive and stay. I'd hate to lose it. I went twice this month and was very disappointed each time. I wanted to let the waitress know my truffle fries were served old and cold but she never came back to check how we were doing. Next time I ordered the beet salad with added shrimp. There were 3 small beet pieces and 3 shrimp even smaller. Tons of lettuce though! read more

From earlier reviews , this restaurant may have had server problems but I am here to tell you that we had a lovely time this evening. Our waitperson, Michelle, was professional, prompt and gently charming without being pushy. The food ( bread plate appetizer, Branzino , chocolate mousse, bread pudding) was uniformly excellent. We thought it was going to be too loud for my hard of hearing husband, but it turned out to be just fine. I think we will go here again before we leave Longboat Key. read more

So surprised to see this awesome restaurant on Longboat Key. What a great place to have progressive cuisine and great cocktails. Our service was excellent and the view spectacular. Can't say enough. Own a catering company in Colorado and think this may have been the best experience we've had on the island in years. They were sold out of grouper but had the ahi and it was excellent. The seafood Cobb was great too. Roasted Cauliflower was awesome with goat cheese and raisins. Will return for apps and a margarita some afternoon soon. Great job. read more

We ended up going down to the St Armand's Circle location and while I requested a table outside, they couldn't meet that request but they made sure we were in the back, which is open air in the warm weather. It was our last meal out so I got the local snapper with this AMAZING arancini cake with a yummy lemon- herby sauce. My boyfriend got the ribs abs really enjoyed the sweetness to them and the kick from the salad. CoOVID-19 - everyone was super respectful with the request to wear masks. The tables were distanced pretty well in the back/ on the patio. The inside was a little close but it's also limited space. What a wonderful dining experience. We traveled by boat and after we tied off we were greeted by a hostess on the dock who brought us to a table. Very classy! We ate on the outside deck which is supplied with heaters for the chilly nights. My husband and I had the calamari salad that was outstanding. We then had the black grouper and the fish tacos. Both were delightful. Well prepared, not over cooked with sides to compliment the fish. Thank you so much. We will be back often. read more

This place can do no wrong. Came here for lunch and was so amazed at the beauty of this location. Expected higher prices than the one on St. Armands but was pleasantly surprised with what seemed to be the same. Also, I love the complimentary valet. They should have that at St. Armands! Wanted the brussel sprout salad but ended up with the kale salad by accident. Eat it anyways because it was so delicious! Mentioned it to the waitress, my plate was empty, and she took it off the bill because she recognized it wasn't my correct order. Just so professional and accommodating when she didn't need to be. Spectacular setting with complementary valet parking. Outdoor area is welcoming and comfortable, with a great view of the water. Indoors is also very attractive with water views. Food was well prepared and the menu creative. The Branzini with goat cheese polenta was excellent. The hamburger was yummy, especially the truffle fries. Celebrated my birthday at the Longboat Key Shore Restaurant. The food was delicious, our waitress Alyssa was fantastic and you can't beat the ambiance other than the choice of background music seemed overpowering. I love The Stones and love all kinds of music, but when we found ourselves talking louder to be heard over the "background" music it was distracting. Thank you to Alyssa for our wonderful birthday dessert and we will return. Hoping the music choice was just an oversight. read more

They were both incredible and the Grouper and Branzino were fantastic. The thoughtful and surprising flavor profile combinations in all the dishes and the cocktails were all around amazing. Food good. Very limited wheelchair seating and as a result the table we were told was reserved wasn't available for over an hour after the time of our reservation. Harrumph. They comped appetizers and calamari was fabulous. Had the black grouper and it too was fabulous. Truly perfect. Wait staff nice. Most guests wandered around without masks and there was a large group celebrating that absolutely didn't wear masks in common areas or walking by our table. This was a HORRIBLE expensive mistake to eat here. Will not be returning. We ate at an outside table and were inundated by black flies as soon as food was brought out. The food was overpriced and mediocre. We asked our waitress if a fan could be aimed at our table to keep the flies away. No response. Service was poor in general. A 20% tip was automatically applied. Yes, the wait staff are not responsible for the flies, but they should have warned us about the problem before we were seated. Clearly they do not care about customer comfort. There were so many flies on the food that one of our party could not finish their meal. In speaking with the MANAGER SHE DID NOT CARE. Do not eat here. There are so many other delicious restaurants in this area with health-conscious respectful staff. No masks on any staff. The Valet attendant was the ONLY nice staff. read more

This review is of the outdoor bar area. We visited on a Sunday night about a month after this location opened so it was not yet very busy or in season.... Beautiful restaurant. Very nice view, the outdoor seating area was very relaxed. We got drinks and dinner service at the outdoor bar. Our bartender was fantastic! He was very personable. Because it was not yet busy season during our visit we were able to enjoy our drinks and food in a very relaxed atmosphere. Service was always attentive, never rushed, and made for a very pleasurable experience. The food was very good and portions at the time of our visit were generous. Overall it was a great evening at Shore. I hope other customers will have a similar experience. read more

Best waterfront restaurant in the area. The small table seating of 6 maximum is an obstacle, but there are other restaurants to go to with large groups. I love this one for boating and eating. The only downside is that this restaurant, as good as it is, has had a significant negative impact to the sleepy Longbeach Village in which it is located.
