My all time favorite place for karaoke!! The rooms are always clean and the lighting sets the perfect mood to sing and have fun with your friends. They have a wide variety of English, Korean, and a few other Asian songs, and they are constantly updating their song book with new songs. If it's your first time, the staff is always super helpful in explaining the set up. You can either pick the tablet or the YouTube search, the YouTube is easier to navigate, but using their own tablet system allows you to get scores at the end of every song which is super fun! Pricing is also very fair, a group of 6 of us used a room for about 1.5 hours, and we ended up paying around $10 each. They also offer discounted room prices during happy hour!

Very clean, varied selection of language choices, easy to manage karaoke selections. Guy at the counter was helpful enough. No food but they have a drinks case you can self serve. Prices are a little steep but cheaper places feel less safe.

I originally made a reservation after hearing from my friends about this place and my usual karaoke place being booked out, and this place is so much better! Who I think is the owner was very sweet and accommodating as me and my party were all highschoolers, he taught us how to use the music queue and let us take our time with paying afterwards (they do take cash!) I called a few days before to check out the room since I couldn't find any pictures of it, and he was kind enough to let me see (the room did not disappoint at all, super clean, seats comfy, had lots of instruments, and you can always get more for free in the front). My group was 14 people including myself, and the payments came out to only $11 per person for 3 hours during happy hour, which is half the price of other locations. Safe to say I will be letting my friends know about this place and come back with more friends soon! Thank you so much!

This place is an alright karaoke spot if you are looking to just get a quick hour in, as far as experience goes nothing blew me away, I wouldn't come back here again, but if it's close to you why not!

Has anyone done solo karaoke here or do they only allow groups?

You are welcome to come alone—we charge $35/hour for groups of 1-4.

Do you guys offer song in Spanish?

Yes, we have a separate system for Spanish songs, and we also have Chromecast compatibility for you to stream any karaoke songs from your own phone or a provided tablet.

I read a review that they don't allow alcohol? Does that mean outside alcohol or no alcohol in general is served here?

We are an alcohol-free establishment: we do not serve alcohol and we also do not permit guests to bring their own alcohol.

Is there a voice score system where it displays a rating for how in tune you sang?

Yes, we do have a scoring system for our karaoke songs.

When does the happy hour start and end? Been a while since I've been here, thanks!

Happy hour is 4 PM–7 PM on weekdays and 2 PM–7 PM on weekends, but the regular rate is applied if you come at 6 PM.

What are the food and beverage options? Do they have or is it bring your own... for large group party...

We brought our food ourselves, and bought the drinks from them.

Do you have to be 21 years to be allowed into the facilities?

No, we have no age minimum.

When will you be re opening after COVID? My birthday is on June 13 and I would love to be able to have my party there.

How is the English song selection? And is there other languages as well like Chinese and Spanish? Thanks!

Can you bring in your own food and beverages?

No you can't:( they don't allow outside food/drinks. They do sell drinks and snacks though

Do you have spanish or japanese aongs?

    They have japanese

How is it Sundays ? Do they have a eng sel of songs

Yes they have. Sunday is same.

Do they still offer the happy hour prices?

    Yes. As of 2019 happy hours (50%off) Monday-Friday: 4pm-7pm Saturday-Sunday: 2pm-7pm

What is the minimum age to rent a room? My 12 year old daughter wants to have her party here

there is no age restriction, although it would be best if there were people above 12

We were greeted and was provided such amazing service by Carlton and the bartender (I don't recall their name) but the drinks were so delicious that I got the same drink twice (which was the Melon Ball and was paired with the Liquid MJ Shooter) Although our ONLY complaint was the drink prices are pretty expensive.. We didn't personally taste any of the food since we had dinner beforehand. But it looked and smell amazing! The service was top notch! And Carlton took such great care of me and my party from beginning to end. He was timely in responding to our requests despite being the only staff there! He seemed to be juggling so many duties but me and my party did not feel neglected or any dissatisfaction. My friends and I really enjoyed our time there and will definitely be back! I've personally been to many other karaoke rooms and this has definitely been the best experience.

We were charged for two hours, but then they "closed early," so we were only actually there for about one hour. When we questioned the pricing, instead of handling it professionally, the guy tried handing over a crumpled $5 bill and held it up to my face like that was supposed to fix the issue. It felt disrespectful and dismissive. He also gave us "4 free waters," but later used that against us by saying they were originally $2.50 each. That made no sense because they were presented as free, then suddenly treated like a favor when we pushed back on the price. Overall, the experience was frustrating, shady, and completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun karaoke night. Customers should not have to argue over unclear pricing, be charged for time they did not get, or feel disrespected for asking basic questions. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I remember someone reached out from the business saying things have changed and got a new KJ thats better and should give it another go. Well 3+ years later I gave it another chance with a group hoping for improvement but instead the experience is just as bad. The sound is terrible. Mics kept cutting in and out and only half the speakers were actually working. Its sad bc there were some really good singers who were pretty much singing without a working mic. I let the KJ (some old white bald guy with a goatee) know and he had this IDGAF response and didnt do anything. The icing on the cake was me buying drinks and waiting for over an hour to get to my song when I noticed I was passed over for people who signed up after me. I let the KJ know to check and he has me on the bottom of the list like I never moved. I explained how I was waiting over an hour and he began to get defensive and tell me basically he cant trust what I say and doesnt remember me. If dude was doing his job properly this wouldn't happen. How hard is it to go down a signup sheet in order. Its crazy. KJ was also bartending and cleaning tables. I dont know if hes the owner or just carrying many hats but man he sucks. Long story short had to get my peoples to vouch for me and he finally let me sing my 1 song disgruntledly. Man Im never coming back. So many more professional & organized karaoke bars in south OC. Its sad this place is such a disaster for karaoke. The vibe from the patrons are great too. Advice to management/owner: 1. Spend a few hundred bucks and fix your karaoke system. If this was Asian-owned it would have never been an issue because Asians take their karaoke seriously. 2. Get another KJ and get rid of the bald old white dude with the goatee. He is an unhappy person who doesn't like his job and it shows. 1 Star!

After a farewell dinner to/at Gulliver's Prime Ribs Of Beef, our party of six continued the evening several miles away at Stowaway for some light bites and libations. Personally, I was all about the Hawaiiana tiki culture and tried to live it every day. Founded by co-owners Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, its current home of barely three years in a former dive bar came about when they unceremoniously had to leave the original location. With its proximity to Disneyland's Enchanted Tiki Room and the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture, they found their footing with a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, and tropical trimmings. Would I stow myself away somewhere inside and never leave!? PURCHASE(S) Don Q Punch Bowl ($38.00): Made with Don Q's Cristal Silver, Anejo, and 151 Gold Rums, respectively, peach brandy, passion fruit, pineapple juice, and citrus juices, this flaming concoction was rumtastic in every way possible as the tropical juices just made it that much sweeter. There were more ice chips than I liked, but it was a fun trough to drink out of for the four of us who wanted to imbibe. Coconut Shrimp 6pc ($12.00): Breaded and flash-fried plump shrimp served with a sweet chili dipping sauce, these were tasty and perfectly paired with the Don Q cocktail I was drinking. Stowaway Fries ($17.00): Constructed with a pile of crisp golden spud sticks, rum braised pork, and topped with a hearty gravy and sunny-side up egg, this loco moco fries dish was slamming while the slightly charred juicy pork had me squealing with enjoyment. SERVICE We had reservations, so once our entire party arrived, they quickly seated us in a cool cave-live separate alcove for more privacy. Our server arrived with menus, suggestions, and glasses of water. Minutes later, we all ordered at once, and everything (drinks and food) arrived within ten minutes. Because we had another reservation inside the same bar, we informed our male server and to let us know when we were allowed to go there. All was casual, chill, and somewhat on island time - aloha and mahalo! PARKING (FREE): They shared a medium-sized private lot with several other businesses who were closed at this time with plenty of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Located within a strip mall, you opened the front door and walked into an island oasis as if you were a cast member on "Gilligan's Island" with thatched roof material above you, tiki statues displaced on all of the volcanic-looking walls, collections of tiki mugs past and present for purchase, a central square bar with plenty of stools, and seemingly small dark nooks and private spaces where naughty things could happen. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights barely guided you along. There were no TVs while I recalled various styles of music played in the background along with chatter and clamor of conversations in all directions. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL I had a cowabunga time at Stowaway, and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I loved tiki bars, and although this was generally out of my range, I'd make a special trip or two here. My one drink was lip-smacking good, the pupus were yummy, the prices were reasonable enough, the atmosphere was stupendous, and the service was friendly and professional. While the drinks menu was loaded with tropical cocktails, an impressive rum selection, and a decent assortment of local craft beers, the food menu was somewhat limited. And, the bar had happy hour TU-FR 4pm-6pm. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $75.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS
