I've been a customer of Showcase Honda for years. I originally leased my vehicle through them and later bought it out, so it's extremely disappointing that multiple recent experiences have left me feeling like customer service and professionalism are no longer a priority here. I recently called Showcase specifically to ask when my Honda Care coverage expired because I needed an oil change. I spoke with Cameron Hasler, who told me that my Honda Care had NOT expired and then asked when I wanted to schedule my oil change. I told him Tuesday, September 8th, and an appointment was scheduled. I have since moved, so I changed the appointment to a Honda dealership in Chandler. When I arrived, I was informed that my Honda Care had actually expired on September 6th -- just TWO DAYS before the appointment Cameron scheduled for me. Had I been given the correct expiration date when I specifically called to ask, I obviously would have scheduled the oil change on or before September 6th. I called Showcase to explain what happened and see if they could make it right. Instead, the person I spoke with repeatedly responded, "Okay, so what do you want me to do about it?" I explained that I wanted the oil change honored because their employee gave me incorrect information and scheduled me after my coverage expired. I was told Cameron was on another call and would call me back. I never received a call. Unfortunately, this isn't my first questionable experience with their service department. After my previous oil change, I was placed in a group text with numerous other customers, exposing everyone's phone numbers to each other, which I found extremely unprofessional. I also received an email from James Birchman offering me a free oil change if I completed their survey with all 10s and "satisfactory" responses. I was told the free oil change would be placed on my account. Apparently, it wasn't. So at this point, there were TWO separate reasons I reasonably expected my oil change to be covered: I was incorrectly told my Honda Care was still active and scheduled after its expiration date, and I had previously been promised a free oil change that was supposed to be on my account. Mistakes happen, and I would have been understanding if someone had simply acknowledged the situation and tried to resolve it. What bothered me most was the dismissive "What do you want me to do about it?" response and then being promised a callback that never came. After years of bringing my vehicle here, leasing through Showcase and eventually purchasing my vehicle, this experience has lost my business. I'll be taking my vehicle elsewhere going forward.

Ron went above and beyond to get me into the perfect car for me, and worked with me to make a deal on a new Civic within my budget. This was a refreshing car-buying experience.

Definitely the best car buying experience to date thanks to Christian at Showcase Honda! He was kind, knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to answer all of my questions without ever making me feel rushed or pressured. He was thorough and made the entire process smooth from start to finish. We also discovered we had a lot in common, which really added a genuine human touch to the experience. It didn't feel transactional at all--it felt like working with someone who truly cared about helping. To top it off, after learning that I love the Ninja Turtles, he surprised me with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collectible set. Such a thoughtful gesture that made the whole experience even more memorable. I've never felt this great after purchasing a car. Thank you, Christian! I will definitely keep giving Showcase my business and you should too!

Update: Lindsay Voss at Showcase Honda - Phoenix wants customers to have a good experience. Thank you for making this right. She remedied the key discrepancy by providing reimbursement for our cost of the 2nd key which significantly improved our view of this dealership as they do care about their customer's experience, especially if a mistake on their end was made. Thank you for reaching out rather than just ignoring and hoping a customer would go away! Updated 9/19/25 On 9/13/25 I bought a Nissan Pathfinder from Showcase Honda (1333 E. Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ) and the experience was disappointing. After negotiating what I thought was a slightly discounted price, I sat for over 2 1/2 hours only to discover at signing that the price hadn't changed at all from what I was quoted over the phone. By that point it was late, and I didn't have the patience to sit and argue over the $489 I was promised off--which, in hindsight, feels like that was their goal. It came across as misleading and dishonest. On top of that, what really made the purchase a bad experience was being told the vehicle came with two keys. After paying, I was handed only one and the sales representative, Aaron, brushed it off, claiming they weren't that expensive. Just an hour earlier he had warned me not to lose them because they were expensive. When I questioned it, he said they couldn't make me a key since they're a Honda dealership and I'd have to go to Nissan. I took him at his word, but when I went to Nissan, I paid $511 for a replacement--far more than his claim. That felt dishonest and left me feeling cheated. I even called the dealership the next day to speak with a manager and was told I'd get a call back, but no one ever followed up. In the end, between the missing discount and the extra cost of the key, I ended up paying about $1,000 more than what I was told I would. I wanted to have a good experience, but unfortunately, I did not.

We drove 40 miles home, the check engine light had been reset 24 miles before we picked up the car.
    Kendall D.

We were genuinely excited about the 2016 Honda Odyssey we purchased from this dealership--but the excitement quickly unraveled. Just 29 miles into driving, the check engine light came on. A diagnostic scan revealed four moderate fuel system codes (P0172, P0175, P2097, P2099), alongside shaking at highway speeds and while braking--indicators of serious preexisting mechanical and emissions issues. It became evident that the dealership had cleared the codes prior to delivery. When confronted, they gaslit us, claiming the vehicle "would never have been sold in that condition" and that it wouldn't have passed emissions--despite diagnostic evidence saying otherwise. They refused a return simply because payment had already been processed, forcing us to cancel funding ourselves through USAA. Adding to the disappointment, there was zero accountability. The used car sales manager and a salesman who wasn't even part of our transaction were rude, dismissive, and downright disrespectful when we tried to resolve the situation. Instead of empathy or professionalism, we received condescension and deflection. We loved this van. What hurts most isn't just the mechanical issues--it's the breach of trust and how quickly it was discarded. Until this dealership shows they're willing to stand behind what they sell and treat customers with respect, this review stands as a warning.

Unfortunately, my experience did not match the promises that were made. Throughout the car-buying process, I was told several things that either turned out to be untrue or that I had to repeatedly follow up on and fight to have honored. After the sale, I found myself being ignored and eventually had to show up at the dealership in person just to get results. That was incredibly frustrating, especially after believing I was working with people I could trust. The final straw was my recent service visit. I was under the impression that my extended warranty covered the damage I brought the vehicle in for, only to find out that wasn't the case. Even worse, when I left the dealership, my side mirror was literally hanging off my vehicle while I was driving on the highway. It was not like that when I dropped my car off. It became a serious safety hazard, and I nearly had an accident because of it. I even have video of the mirror hanging as I drove away. I ended up taking my vehicle to another mechanic, who was able to secure the mirror properly in a matter of moments. It was incredibly disappointing that my vehicle left the dealership in worse condition than when I brought it in. I do want to recognize that my service advisor was excellent. They were communicative and treated me well, and I appreciate their professionalism. My frustration is with the overall experience, the broken promises, and the quality of the work performed. I had originally planned to recommend this dealership to friends and family because I believed everyone was being genuine. Unfortunately, after everything I experienced, I can no longer recommend either the sales department or the service department. Kindness is appreciated, but honesty, integrity, and quality workmanship matter even more.

Extremely Disappointed…read more I brought my Subaru to the dealership because it was experiencing a transmission issue. Instead of focusing on the actual problem, I was presented with an estimate totaling over $16,000 in repairs. Some of the items they claimed needed to be repaired simply did not make sense. For example, they said my radiator needed to be replaced. If my radiator had actually been failing the way they claimed, my vehicle would have been overheating--which it wasn't. I knew several of the recommended repairs were unnecessary. Because the estimate seemed so excessive, I sought a second opinion from AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care on Van Buren in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. They inspected the vehicle, confirmed the actual issue was the transmission, and told me that many of the repairs recommended by the dealership were not needed. AAMCO repaired my Subaru Crosstrek for roughly one-third of what Subaru wanted to charge, and two months later the transmission is running better than ever. In my opinion, the dealership lost my business because they attempted to sell me thousands of dollars' worth of repairs that my vehicle did not need. A trustworthy service department should diagnose the actual problem and recommend only the repairs that are necessary--not overwhelm customers with an inflated estimate. If you need transmission work or want a second opinion, I strongly encourage you to contact AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care on Van Buren in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.

The first day I came in we went for a test drive and I really liked the car so I signed for it the same day. HOWEVER, whoever I spoke to in finance, I believe is name is Matt, just flat out lied to me. I was offered an extended warranty which we ended up negotiating down to $20 a month for the duration of my loan (meaning if I paid the loan in 12 months I would pay $240 for the warranty but still keep the coverage for 7 years). I signed for this. A week later the loan appears in my bank account and it's $2,000 more than I had signed for. I went in person and spoke to a different employee from the Volkswagen side of the dealership who was very kind, I forget his name. But he gave me a printout of my paperwork, something Matt never did and said it would be emailed to me but never happened, and showed me that the warranty was actually a "flat rate" $2,000 fee and NOT the $20/mo I signed for and was promised. This second finance employee was helpful and we cancelled my warranty, but be aware for anyone who is offered this warranty. I was lied to and there is a high likelihood you and many other customers have been lied to as well. Shady practices from their finance department.

Unfortunately, that was my experience with Camelback Hyundai: I brought my 2023 Hyundai Elantra Limited Hybrid to Camelback Hyundai in June 2026 to replace the catalytic converter. From the beginning, I was given the runaround about my vehicle and the loaner. I was told the loaner could not be taken out of state, and I explained that this was a problem because I had a family emergency that required me to travel out of state with my vehicle. I was then told they would put a rush on my repair so I could get my car back in time. They gave me a specific date and time when my vehicle would be ready, but they did not meet the deadline they gave me. When I finally picked up my car, I discovered bird droppings that had damaged the paint on the hood and trunk, along with new dents on my vehicle. None of this damage was there when I dropped it off. I immediately returned to the dealership, and after reviewing their own photos, they acknowledged the damage was not there when I brought it in. Ishmeal knew I had a family emergency and didn't know exactly when I would be back. He specifically told me not to worry and that he would take care of the damage when I returned. When I eventually followed up, he said he would "have to look into it." The damage was never addressed. Now, I'm dealing with additional issues following their repair. My A/C isn't cooling properly, and there is a strong rotten-egg/exhaust smell coming into the cabin. When I called Ishmeal, he told me neither issue would be covered because "the catalytic converter is on the bottom." He also said the rotten-egg smell was from my battery expanding. My service receipt clearly shows that Camelback Hyundai replaced Part #28510-03HN0 -- the exhaust manifold catalytic assembly. On the 1.6L Elantra Hybrid, this integrated assembly is located in the engine bay and bolted to the engine, meaning the repair involved work in the same area as other engine-bay components, including the A/C system. The fact that these symptoms appeared after the repair warrants inspection of the exhaust gasket and A/C components that may have been accessed during the repair. The 2023 Elantra Hybrid also uses a high-voltage lithium battery system with a 12V lithium auxiliary battery integrated into the hybrid battery assembly under the rear seat. If the dealership's explanation is that a battery is expanding, overheating, or venting sulfur-smelling fumes into the cabin, that warrants immediate inspection as well. If a covered hybrid battery component is found to be defective, it should fall under Hyundai's applicable 10-Year/100,000-Mile Hybrid System Warranty. If the A/C or exhaust issue is determined to be related to the catalytic converter repair or workmanship, it should be addressed under Hyundai's 12-Month/12,000-Mile Service Parts and Labor Warranty. What is most frustrating is that this is not an isolated issue. The dealership acknowledged damage occurred while my vehicle was in its possession, Ishmeal promised to address it, and it was never resolved. Now I have new mechanical concerns following the repair and am being told they are unrelated without a proper inspection. I brought my car to a Hyundai dealership expecting professional service and accountability. Instead, I've experienced delays, conflicting information, and no resolution. I will not be returning to Camelback Hyundai's service department.

Confident and relieved we'd found a "go to" mechanic in Phoenix, one month later the car began experiencing intermittent power steering outage issues. Our son (in college and alone far from home) immediately brought the car back in, but AMC essentially refused to pop the hood, or otherwise even look at the car "unless the driver could replicate the issue". Two weeks later power steering and AC completely failed on a busy highway (due to a leaking radiator hose that ultimately fried the alternator). Paid an additional $800.00 (plus towing) to a competitor to fix what AMC should've caught. Also, AMC hours are now M-Th and of course this emergency happened on a Friday. First time Yelp has led me astray. 9/9/2026 - Owner Gilberto immediately reached out on Yelp below apologizing and asking for submission of additional repairs documentation to handle the case "fairly". To be fair, I did not go into specifics of prior phone interactions with Gilberto - owner - after the car was first towed to AMC and the had to be retowed to another shop due to AMC's inability to handle after hours emergencies (eg., no closed parking, nor key drop or other available). While all calls with were professional and courteous, Gilberto was ultimately unhelpful and disappointing (leaving us with limited options). The fact that AMC refused to do anything after the car was brought in by our son (for scary warning signs similar to the original problems) just prior to a catastrophic (towable) failure on a busy roadway is what is unacceptable. Not saying AMC is a bad business, they just really blew it. For minor car maintenance (oil changes and tire repairs) AMC is probably great. For major car repairs go elsewhere in the valley, please.
