This was definitely a fine line between 4 and 5 stars, but I went with 4 stars and I`ll tell you the main reason this company didn`t get 5 stars and that is the price. Yes, the pricing is moderate to high. The service we have received thus far has been pretty good and I`m curious to see how well the service continues to be in the days, weeks, months, and years post shower install(we had the install yesterday). I`ll provide updates periodically if anything major comes up, good or bad. First of all, know that if you call Shurgarman's Bath for a consult/quote, you are getting an entire presentation. You will need to set aside probably an hour to an hour and a half depending on how much you like to talk and how many questions you might have. This is a sales presentation. Take it for what it is. There will be the end goal of selling you on their services and products. I am not usually wowed by service presentations and I wasn't overly wowed by this one, but there was a lot of information presented, our presenter was personable and knowledgeable and in the end, we ended up deciding that the price(while high) was workable with their payment plan. We are not rolling in the money, by any means, so this is a big investment for the property. What appealed to us is that this is a(hopefully) headache free solution to replacing a shower with their quick work, lifetime guarantee, and them doing all the work from start to finish(including remedying any issues behind the walls sight unseen). I`m 100% certain you can find better costs if you shop around or do it yourself, but we aren't trying to mess around with all that, so this was a solid choice. Convenience comes with a cost. We had our tub/shower to shower only(no glass doors, but a modest curb to keep water in with a curtain). We picked a design and materials that worked for our budget ahead of time, the materials took about 6 weeks to become available locally, and then we were scheduled. The workers arrived on time. Employee shoutout to Jordan. I don`t know the second guy's name who came with him as he was sort of quiet and he ended up leaving early due to feeling ill. Anyway, Jordan is AH-mazing. He is friendly, easy to talk to, and a dang hard worker. He kept the entire day rolling almost non-stop. He did end up having another worker pop in towards the end to help for a couple of hours and that guy was a fast and efficient worker too. Seriously, though, Jordan is where it is at. He completed so much work and remained kind and courteous the whole 11 hour day. Yes, 11 hours. Well, almost 12 hours. I cannot believe that all of the work was done in one day. This might not be the case for you, but even two 11 hour days to get the work done is pretty awesome by my standards. So, that's it for now, y'all. I am so impressed with the quality of workmanship and the integrity of not only the on-site workers, but the people in the offices and warehouse too. "Above and beyond" does not even begin to describe the work ethic and attitude of these wonderful people. As with most things in life, you have to anticipate the unexpected. Unfortunately with this shower, some things came up that I was surprised and disappointed by. I called the office and they literally took care of the problems within an hour and made sure they would do everything in their power to MAKE ME HAPPY. And they did!! They made sure that I not only got what I wanted and expected, but also REASSURED me so that I didn't have to stress. This is a big deal. *I'm notorious for stressing. Don't underestimate the value of a competent team, and I can confidently say, this is a complete team that will take care of everything for you. From the start, the workers came in and were just so kind and respectful. This certainly isn't my first shower remodel so I've seen quite a rainbow of personalities come in to do work. I have NEVER felt comfortable with people in my house, until I met Shugarman's guys. Tony and Jaret were incredible. They were confident in their abilities, they were so gentle and respectful of my home and belongings. They covered everything up at the start of the day and cleaned it all back up at the end of the day. Nothing was touched or moved. The floor was swept clean and the walls were not even scratched. I have flat white paint on my walls....not one scuff. Again, big deal. They communicated with me very clearly. They asked questions before doing things just to make sure it was exactly the way I wanted. They really cared about the finished product coming out just right and paid extra attention to EVERY detail. They were also efficient. They worked quickly but never ever feeling like it was rushed, more like a very confident pace of a highly skilled craftsman. Tony knew his stuff. He knew how the materials worked, he knew what could and couldn't be done. He reassured me on some things I was worried about with my slab...this guy seriously has mastered the trade. I had questions about the plumbing, no problem. He never seemed bothered either, even when I knew I was interrupting him. The patience is a big deal, especially since homeowners can really be irritating to people that are trying to just complete their work. Tony took the time to make sure I was comfortable, too. So fast forward a couple short days and I have this new shiny shower! Yay, so exciting. But what really excited me was that the rest of my home looked exactly the same as before they even began. It's like a new shower magically appeared in my bathroom and there wasn't damage to clean up after the fact. My house wasn't feeling beat up or tired, which has always been the case with past remodels. Not dust. No dirt. No smear marks. No dents anywhere. It's almost a magical feeling really, had I not been home during the process I wouldn't have known anyone was here. That's saying a lot and makes these guys just shine in every way they're supposed to. I wish it was easy to find this level of workmanship and care, but it's just a rarity. At the end of the last day, I closed the door behind them and just said "WOW". What a relief. Who gets a new shower in a couple days and doesn't have a mess!? The only real problem I have now is that I want to make the rest of my bathroom look as beautiful as my shower it's sticking out like a sore thumb, in a really really good way. A great experience from start to finish. I needed to redo my guest and master bath before putting my condo on the market. I did my research and narrowed it down to a few companies. Far and away in quality, experience, and value was Shugarman's. Will was the consultant guy who went over everything, the options, what it would cost, and patiently answered all my questions. Stephanie was my point person in the office. When it came time to do the installation, Kevin was the main man and a very hard worker, helped by Carlos and two other helpers throughout the course of the week who all did their part faster and more easily (at least from my end) than I thought it could be. As I've seen other reviews that bring up the timetable - it's a renovation, and you never know what's going to be involved fully until the old stuff is out and what's behind the wall is revealed. I was told likely a week, and left a day or two extra the following week. It ended up taking only 4.5 days, and that was with extra unexpected work "behind the walls" to build out studs and supports missing since the place was built years before I owned it. So, I'd just say, I think their timetables are quite reasonable - and trying to hold any contractor to an exact estimated timetable before work starts is a little absurd. Ask questions - Will and Stephanie were very clear with me after the consultation, and that helped a ton. The entire thing went smoothly, happened on time (critical for a sale and move-related renovation), and looks amazing now that it's done. The whole team was personable, professional, respectful of my space, communicative, and great to work with. My only regret is I'm moving, and won't get to enjoy these showers/baths for a very long time...but for future owners, they're getting a durable, high-quality product to last for years. A+ would recommend to anyone considering a bathroom renovation - do yourself a favor and at least have them in for a consultation. You won't regret it! read more

We were initially excited to have Shugarman's do our shower remodel, but unfortunately, our experience with them was not great. We had been given a 2 day timeline for completion, but by the end of the second day, very little progress had been made, even though it was a straightforward job with no mold or other issues to address. The work continued all the way until the end of the third day (until 7:30pm) and we had plans that evening, so we ended up having to leave the house while they finished the work because we didnt want it to have to carry over into a fourth day following the weekend. Because of the timing, we never had a final walk through to go over everything and give our final approval. In addition to the timing issues, the workers were very careless during the actual install, leading to a hole in our adjoining bedroom wall from the demolition and a hole in our bathroom door (see photos). The worker who did the demolition didn't even tell me about the hole in the wall and just left without saying anything. Although Shugarman's did end up sending someone to do the drywall repairs and that person did a great job, we were the ones who had to initiate that work and Shugarman's never offered an apology. Overall, it was a very stressful experience, and I felt feel like I couldn't trust the quality of the work being done. The shower itself does look nice, but for the amount we paid and all the issues along the way, it did not feel worth it. We had a much better experience with the contractor who did the rest of our bathroom, and that contractor even repainted the ceiling to cover the mess left by Shugarman's. read more

When installation day came, Mike and Dillan were phenomenal! There was an issue with a burst pipe due to improper installation when the house was built, and Mike went above and beyond to check everything, bring it up to code, bring in extra equipment to dehumidify the space, replace sheet rock damage in the garage below, and have a specialist come the next day to texture the wall. what I didn't know until the salesman was in our house was that they tell you they need to get something from there vehicle but leave a recorder on in the house. once the salesman is gone for a few minutes, they listen to what you are saying in regards to the product you inquired about. our salesman gave us a quote which was 20% higher than the next lower quote. my wife and I laughed at the price and said no way to each other. once the salesman came back in, he was quick to end the visit and we never received a formal quote nor heard back from them. read more

The salesman Jeff came and gave us a bid for the job. He was very courteous and knowledgeable about everything. They came to do the demo and install 2 weeks earlier than planned, which was great. Carlos, Danny & Diego worked very hard to get the job done. Our bathroom space is small, but there were 2 guys working at once with the door shut and plastic covering to keep the dust down. This review is a little late. We had a tub conversion to shower done. Not the lowest price but not the highest. I did this partially because they will fix any mold problem in any areas that they open. Luckily there was no mold but it gave use piece of mind. Everything went smoothly with the shower installation. Works fine and a lot safer to get in and out as you get older. He promised services that did not appear in the contract. The price was exorbitant. When I cancelled, the consultant was nasty and insulting. He refused to return my deposit check. We were excited to use this company, but it was a headache from the start. Sales person showed up here for a presentation that went over an hour - then gave us a quote very high for a tub replacement. They say they are focused on quality and offer lifetime warranty, but for the high price, I saw no value in it. They offered a 3k discount for a 24-hour booking, and we'd also have to make a promotional video to receive the discount...pretty humiliating when you don't even know if you like the final result. But we didn't have money to waste so we agreed. Salesperson also said different things in person than over email.... This was in regards to how they handle asbestos. And I was told I misunderstood....I don't appreciate situations when people try to make me feel stupid. I have two Masters (no memory problems) and this was a conversation that I took seriously because of a child involved. So no, I did not misunderstand anything. Then, I also kept getting texts and emails from various people whether I was satisfied with the booking process, with no actual correction of the problem. This was also super annoying. I was stilling willing to hire them due to their reputation, wanting to negotiate the price, but I am glad they ghosted me because we got better deals elsewhere. read more
