Only thing Mexican about this place is the plastic sambrero on the wall. Service was pretty standard, prices fair. But the food, oh god! Food arriving only two minutes after I ordered it should have been my second warning. Was it fresh made? I don't think so. Two carnitas tacos. Dry pork shoulder covered in shredded lettuce. And SALTY SALTY SALTY! That was the only flavor. Refried beans straight out of a can. Plain rice. And the crispy taco shells? They came from a TACO SHELL FACTORY. Yep, ready-made out of a box. The waiter got my husband's order wrong and then was rude and told him that he wouldn't take it off the bill. Then, my husband gave him the accurate order and he still got it wrong. We are still regular visitors and still love this place. The service has always been great and still is. Manager Eric is cheerful and attentive and all the servers are friendly and helpful. We ate there again today with family members who are here as Hurricane Martin bears down on their home in Florida. I got the Burrito Supreme, with rice and beans. We were shopping and the manager of the store recommended this place. It's fun! They have big roll up doors and let the fresh air in!! It's bright with all sort of eye candy and big TVs! There's a full bar, plenty of seating and it's clean! Julie had some tacos and I had chili rellenos, very very good food!! I'm don't like to write bad reviews but I would give this restaurant 0 stars if I could. My first experience was a year ago. Party of 11, I NEVER got my food. EVERYONE else did and I was the first person to order. It was a few months after their opening, newer server whatever. The manager apologized and I ate scraps off of my family's plates. Fast forward to Friday night (a year later) I come back with the same party of 11, to give this restaurant another chance. Would you believe my boyfriend and I didn't receive our food until our entire table was finished eating. It was LATE.. like 20-30 minutes after the entire table (except us 2) received their food. Good is good, service is good, drinks are good. This review is hard for me. I'll tell you why. This restaurant was s owned by the owners of La Carreta I'm told. But, prior to the long closure/renovation of the Hammond La Carreta, the food here at Si Senior was MUCH better! They also had other offerings on the menu, that they no longer have. The food has changed a bit as well since then. Not like it previously was, nor exactly like It's sister restaurant. It's still good, but not as good as it was. The Combo fajitas are delicious, but now mostly onions and peppers. Barely a full meal meat wise, by Mexican food standards. The pineapple basil margarita is delicious!made me a believer! We had Mario, he greeted us with "what do you want" rather than even stating his name. when we ordered only an appetizer he rolled his eyes since we were not yet ready for food. Slammed and threw things on the table like napkins, cups, and check. Was extremely rude the entire time we were there. Also cursed at my under under his breath in Spanish when my friend asked for a Togo cup after not tipping (due to horrible service) we tipped him what he deserved! Adobe Cantina reopened as Si Senor Taqueria with an updated menu. It is definitely more appealing now with the various changes. I used to get "Carretta's" vibes from it, but it stands out on its own now. The space is more vibrant, and it is nice to see the fresh produce they use on display. If the usual Mexican fare is not your thing, you should at least try the drinks and guacamole! read more

My bf wanted to try a different cheese dip so he got chorizo dip and I got a small regular and they where both sooo goooddd I got the chicken fajitas & LOVEDDD THEMM my man got the mahi mahi tacos and he thought they where good seasoned really well, then we got the blueberry and strawberry mint mojito drinks and I loveddddd them both my hubby isn't a fan of them but we overall really liked it and would definitely be back I'm not a drinker but the mojitos here hit the spot for sure!! Was very disappointed with their customer service. We ordered a takeout order from here and when we got home (yes we should have untied bag before we got home) we realized they left out our queso. We had to drive the 10 miles back because we spent about $50 on this order. My boyfriend had asked if we could get a large instead of a small because of the inconvenience & the manager hid in the back from us and had one of their younger workers relay a message to us that the cook double checked the bag before it went out & there was in fact a queso dip in the bag. Basically telling us we were wrong after we drove 10 miles back to get it corrected. I've been in customer service for over 5 years and was never taught to treat a customer like that. read more
