This is a great find! I've been here many times and never wrote a review though. A group of us from the office came for lunch today- arrived at 11:25 and it was pretty empty but in about 10 minutes it was packed! Lucky we came early! We had: Spring rolls Papaya salad Pad thai with shrimp Pineapple curry with chicken Spicy eggplant with pork Garlic fish Plus rice for everyone The bill was only 65.00 not including the tip. What a deal for 5 people! I've had most items on the menu, everything is good- the only thing I wasn't crazy about was the fried calamari. Definitely a must if you love Thai food! read more

Siam Garden is my go-to place for Thai food. Everything just tastes good there! There Tom Yum Soup is to die for. It has the perfect balance of sweet and sour and always I get it with seafood. There Pad Thai is also my favorite. It's not to peanut-y and the noodles are not too sticky. It definitely hits the spot. The service is ok. Its sometimes hard to get the attention of a server to just even order your food and get the check. They also don't always fill up your water when your glass is empty. Most often you have to ask and even with that its sometimes hard to get their attention. But I'm alright with that because they leave you alone to fully enjoy the comforts of their food. Parking can sometimes be a hassle. I notice the stalls in front of the restaurant are sometimes tight stalls to fit into if you have huge trucks or cars parked crooked. I always go behind the the restaurant in the structure. Just make sure the stalls says "2 hour customer parking" because some stalls are tenant stalls. I'm usually here with a friend and we get 3 items to share: tom yum soup, pad thai, and a curry or stir fry dish. Total is about $40. read more

We're tourists in the area, looking for a Thai place to eat and came across this restaurant on Yelp. The server spilled our bowl of soup! And worse, the soup had hair in it! To add on to that, she brought us the wrong order of rice..I just lost my appetite on the spot. After we're done with our meal, we stayed for a bit to chat and wait for our flight back home. The waitress was so rude and asked us to leave because they needed more tables for people coming in. I've never been kicked out of a restaurant before due to full capacity! SMH. read more

I came here for the second time a few days ago, and it was just as great as I had remembered. Had their Massaman curry w pork, and their chicken Pad Thai. I asked our server not to make it crazy spicy, somewhere between not spicy and medium spicy, and they did an awesome job adjusting the spiciness to may vague request. I'm a huge fan of Thai food so when I needed something to eat after a late game night, I was pleased to see that Siam Garden was both nearby and still open. It's a nice restaurant and service has been good on all my visits. Now for the food. They've got pretty much all the usual Thai dishes (noodles, curries, soups, etc.). I didn't see anything particular special or unexpected on the menu, but they have pretty much every dish I'd want, and all at pretty reasonable prices. The curries are excellent and the drunkard's noodles are pretty great too. Be carefully though, as their "medium" is on the spicy side. They've also got a good Thai tea and I was pleased to notice that their brown rice is actually more of a red rice (which I love, but rarely see in restaurants). I wouldn't say that it quite hits the level of my favorite Thai restaurants, but not many places do. Really though, I can't complain about Siam Garden. I may have originally gone mainly because they're open late, but I'd be glad to return at any time of day. read more

Clearly the best Thai food on the island. The food here is legit, cooked by Thai people and is the best Thai food this side of BKK. Servers are great, they all speak Thai, are friendly, knowledgable and provide great service. Haven't had food here that's wasn't excellent in my many trips. read more

We went here an hour before closing to be told they're closed. When I said that they close at 10, they acknowledged that they do but that the kitchen is closed. Which makes no sense. I guess they can afford to turn away customers ‍ we'll stick with Opal Thai from now on, never coming back. read more

The chicken pho is perfect in this place. The summer rolls are also legit af. If you want perfect chicken pho and a side of perfect summer rolls with the sweet peanut sauce, look no further. This place is ALWAYS filled to capacity at lunch time, so try to eat a late lunch there or get there when they open at 11am or you'll be standing and waiting for a table. The only reason why I gipped this spot a star was because it's a small place. Otherwise fantastic. It doesn't look like much being as it's in a strip mall, but inside it's quite nice, and it portrays a darker ambiance than what I would have expected from a Thai restaurant. Not bad though. Most nights they are fairly busy, but weekends get this place full. Regardless, we are always seated pretty quickly. The environment is usually pretty busy. They rock Korean and Thai music videos on the tele, which are in and of themselves interesting (I'm trying to cultured!), and amongst that is the usual noise of people conversing over their foods and drinks. Nothing horribly distracting though. Beer selection is nothing to write home about, but I usually get the Tiger beer, which hails from Singapore I believe. I'm also a conservative Thai eater, so I usually get the pad Thai, which is to say the least, amazing grubbage. Very flavorful and plenty to eat. We also grab some spring rolls, which are yummy as well. No complaints, though I may spread my wings next time and try something else... Once again, only complaint is that it's a small joint, and I say that especially when it's busy, because if you get seated near the entrance, you might find some jerk-offs who are waiting for a table bumping you around while you're trying to eat. read more

Hit and miss. The first time I went, I got the pad thai and the drunken noodles. The pad thai was okay, but the drunken noodles were honestly the BEST I've ever had! The second time, however, I ordered the drunken noodles again, and they were oddly flavorless. So the quality control is a bit off, but if you're there on a good day, it's really good. I love love loveee thai food! and I love this place! This is probably my favorite thai restaurant on the island. Its got a nice and cozy atmosphere when you walk in and the food is always excellent as well as the service. I've only tried their panang and yellow curry, pad thai, and ong choi and they are all amazing! I used to love their yellow curry till I tried the panang curry. It is peanut based so don't get this if you're allergic to peanuts of course. Tip: Get sticky rice to eat with your curry! read more

I was not expecting the restaurant to be so busy for Thursday night, and our party of three was lucky enough to get the last open table. Came in on Friday at 830pm since we had a lay over from the outer island before our final destination to the mainland. The place was probably about 65% occupied. Aside from the water on the table, no waitress came back to see if we had any questions or if we were ready to order for just about 20 minutes. We were pressed for time and decided to order take out instead to eat at the airport. Since they were so slow, we assumed that the kitchen may be just as slow and didn't want to risk waiting. Thai restaurants in Oahu trend good and sometimes trail off--but Siam continues to deliver good service with great food after all these years. Always good vegan options. Who would think a Thai place on the edge of town in a strip mall with interesting storefront mates would open a door into a bit of Thailand and nice atmosphere and good food. Easy to get to from Aiea, Pearl Harbor etc. and worth the trip. read more

Food was fantastic! Service could have been more pleasant, but it wasn't terrible. The overall atmosphere and decor was beautiful.

I enjoy the food here. It is really good. I use their pho to stave off sore throats and chest congestion. It's more flavorful than Vietnamese pho, with magical spices that help my sinuses. :-) We like the usual- pad siew, yellow curry, papaya salad, chicken larb, and sateh. Service can be hit or miss. All servers work all tables. It gets busy on weekdays at lunch time, so I usually call in my pho orders right when they open at 11 am. read more

Placed an order for takeout at 8:11pm. They say 15 min. I get there at 8:30pm , they make me wait until 8:55pm for my takeout order. Had I known that it would take this long, I would not have placed an order. The worst part is that there was zero customer service to apologize for the delay or at least advise of the delay. I have been a pretty loyal fan to Thai Kitchen in Waipahu, but Siam Garden Cafe challenges that.. Hard to compare two really good restaurants! I like that Thai Kitchen is BYOB and I love the family that runs it; regarding Siam Garden I've only gotten take out and was pleased (there is a full bar btw). Service: good parking, quick for food to come out. The first time the phone was off the hook so went in to order since I was across the street at happy hour but they seemed to fix that problem. I noticed that rice didn't come with order and they got me a side within 30 seconds. Food: The curries are delicious (we tried green and panang, both excellent) as is the pad Thai and spring rolls! The first time we got Drunken noodles, but wasn't too fond of them after the first few bites as it was loaded in slightly overcooked garlic and a LOT of chili flakes. I noticed that for the curries, if you don't specify heat, the food is mild at best. I'll make sure next time to note spice. Also, ask for rice, it's not included. The brown rice is really good- I think it's around $1.50 for a side for rice. I am excited to try some other curries and soup- according to most reviews it seems like a good choice! All in all I'd give this place between 4-5 stars. read more

Had a simple green tofu curry with sticky rice and really was loving it, while everyone else was watching and perhaps making fun of my poor pathetic solitude... little did i realize, had i single-handedly submerged into the tropical combinations of the vegetables in the well mixture of spiced soup. The overall restaurant was nicely decorated such as the delicately crafted wooden furnitures and coincided with native music videos which had provided some exotic tropical feelings of the east. I've been coming here for years, and it was unfortunate I haven't written a review--so here it is. Located at Nimitz plaza; the best landmark finding it if you haven't heard or notice this restaurant is Sensually Yours. This restaurant tend to get busy during dinner times mostly on weekends. Servers I believe are mostly Thai. Communicating with them can bit of a challenging sometimes, but most of them are polite, and some are really pretty. Took a friend of mine here for a quick lunch, and I'm glad she like it. All of their food taste really good. The only hot of miss sometimes, and based on my experience, dishes tend to be in the salty side. Their spicy straight forward spicy, nothing in between. I've been coming here and they are pretty consistent with the level of spicy; and of course it's also depends on how sensitive you are when it comes to hotness. I ordered a curry on level 3 of hotness, and I couldn't eat it. My first slurp of the soup was also my last. I had to beg them to remake it because I couldn't continue eating.So lesson learned. I would have given this place a '5' stars but we went in during lunch hour. Place is pretty small. And there was only 2 waitresses waiting tables, and a lady at the bar. We waited about 10 minutes for a table to open up. When a table finally opened, the lady pointed the table for us. Yes, she pointed. (But I get it, they were slammed pack with customers, good sign for good food right? RIGHT!) We waited another 5 minutes to have our order taken down. We ordered a Pad Thai, Medium Jungle Curry Chicken, Spring Rolls, a Thai Iced Tea. We literally got our food first, then had to ask for my Thai Iced Tea. (Which kinda bombed my first time there a bit) Pad Thai: THE BEST I'VE EVER TASTED! Super bam with flavors. NOT oily at all! I would just order it with Tofu next time, the pork pieces were kinda too big for me :P Medium Spiced Jungle Curry Chicken: THE BOMB.COM! I loved it, and I'm not really fond of spicy spicy food. This just hit the spot. Not as spicy as I thought it would be. Spring Rolls: It was just okay. I'd probably rather go to a Vietnamese restaurant for that. Thai Iced Tea: My wait for it was totally worth it! :D The flavor was just right, not too sweet, and not too bland either. We will definitely go back, and maybe even be regulars :P read more
