So we went here for dinner with friends. Everything was going great until the spring rolls came out, and we started to eat them as our appetizers, and this is what I bit into. Almost breaking my teeth, at first we looked at it, and we thought it was some sort of rock. It looks like a piece of asphalt. It turned out to be some sort of magnet as it stuck to the spoon. As you will see in the picture, it was not a small piece of metal substance. Ordered the Chicken Pad Thai: Generous portion, asked for extra bean sprouts for $2, and they gave me a sandwich size ziplock full! Delicious flavor, asked for medium hot and it was perfect. You can sort of taste the sourness of the tamarind, but not overwhelming. Lots of chicken pieces, and tofu was nice and firm. Noodles are thin and good color in the overall dish. Came here for lunch the other day. Prices haven't skyrocketed as much post pandemic as other restaurants. We got a noodle dish and a soup and it came out to about $34. Ordered the Thai Ginger Soup all fish. They brought us Tom Yum all seafood. Sent it back. They brought out Thai Ginger Soup with Seafood. Didn't want to wait so just ate it. Soup was excellent. Lots of protein. Noodle dish was average size. For the price it should be larger. Waitresses here turn around quick. I heard as soon as they get hitched to a nice military guy they quit so can't expect much from service. Water was refilled a couple times however. 3.5 stars read more

A great amount of parking in the structure behind siam Garden Cafe - This is a huge plus for me as parking tends to be at a premium at so many places. The atmosphere is immediately inviting and the service is quite pleasant. We enjoyed all selection of food, though our unanimous favorite was the beef salad. Raw slices of tender beef marinated and cooked in lime juice. excellent taste and textures - this will be our "always order" plate when we return. This is one of my go-to spots for authentic Thai food. I really enjoy their nam thok beef salad, pad ki maw, and pad thai. Tried other thai restaurants and the nam thok is usually dry or not as flavorful, whereas here it's cooked perfect! My friends and I do get our food thai-hot level and it satisfies our spicy cravings. They really don't shy away from spicy level, so beware if you are sensitive to spice. Let me start by saying the PRICES on YELP are WRONG. Everything has increased by $6-$7 at least. Now, I love the taste of their food. Might not suit everyone but I enjoy it, however, the portions are terrible for the price. As shown in the photo, the Drunkard Noodles barely fills the bottom of the take out container. I wouldn't have mind if it was $7-$8 for it, but I paid $16 for that. I am pissed! The egg rolls are delish, but not $12 delish. Their website wasn't working for me so I can't view the updated prices. As much as I enjoy the taste of their food, I won't be returning unfortunately. My bill was $80 for (2) plate noodles and (3) egg rolls, no drink. read more

I'm not really getting all the five and four star reviews. I ordered a pad thai and papaya salad, and neither have any flavor. The papaya salad is especially bland, which is odd, as Thai papaya salad is usually quite fragrant and spicy. Since I was eating it at home I was able to add sriracha, and it's still just ok. I'm bummed as I wasn't hungry for Thai food until I read all the great reviews here. With all the other great food options on Oahu, there's no reason to come back. read more

Wow. This place was recommeneded by one of my friends and it did not disappoint! Parking right in front, restroom inside and clean, extensive menu with pictures! Had to try more than one thing, might have gone a bit overboard but I loved everything! I got medium since I usually like spice but this medium was VERY HOT! Next time I will get mild! The flavor was so good I had to keep eating even through the sweat and tears! Got the special that was featured: mussel fritters. Good flavor, kinda like a seafood pancake with spicy sweet chili sauce and beansprouts. Got pad thai since it's a staple. Tom kha also always have to get it. Spicy seafood salad sounded interesting and it was so good! Kinda like a ceviche with the citrusy flavor but spicy! Grilled eggplant salad was sooo good! Flavorful and served warm! Everything was amazing but the icing on the whole meal was dessert! I would come back just for this! Mango sticky rice and taro tapioca were sooo good. Served warm. Always good and typically consistent. During COVID however I had some issues that the food wasn't always consistent and tasting as good as I knew. However I think now the chef might be back. The only complaint I have is that they might have been short of ladies helping out with customers but the two that worked worked hard and fast. The restaurant got packed by the time I left. Ordered calamari, summer rolls and tom kha with sticky rice. The calamari seem to be a popular item. Deeply fried and crispy hot when they come out. They were tasty but a bit too fishy for me, but I'm not a fish eater. Everyone else in the restaurant loved it, so it's a definite winner. Tom kha is so good to me. I prefer it to any other soup. It's so rich and tangy and spicy (if you ask for spicy). It always hits the spot for me, especially with sticky rice. This was the first time I ordered summer rolls. When they came out they didn't look pretty at all. They had no mint or basil so I was a bit disappointed. However I'm ordering Vietnamese style food in a Thai restaurant, so my bad. I didn't take a pic because they just weren't rolled well nor were they pretty. The taste was far from what I was looking for either. It's ok, just reminder to self, stick to Thai food here! #47 for 2019 I had eaten here before and was not pleased but had to give it another chance. Good thing I did. The wait can be long especially during peak hours like weekday lunches. Be prepared to wait 15 minutes or more. One other issue you may need to deal with is the parking. If you cannot find parking on the ground floor, there usually is ample parking above on the 2nd floor. Noise level here is pretty high but it is still a good place to get together with groups. They do take reservations normally open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. except on Sunday they are only open in the evening from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The venue is decorated with lots of wood coming from the local country. The wooden lanterns and wooden lattice ceilings all come together creating nice ambiance to sit looking at the encouraging words and photos from a land far away. I was surprised everything was so good. The crab curry was a winner. The Thom Kha Kai is one of my fave Thai dishes and this did not disappoint. Pour these over the pineapple fried rice did not muddle the taste but brought other flavors out. So delicious. I came here for dinner on a Saturday and it was quiet. But once it rolled over after 5pm the tables filled up quickly with a few walk ins and many reserved seatings. Glad I got there early. read more

Siam Garden Cafe is located in Nimitz Center on Nimitz Hwy. There's plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant and the back. The restaurant is small and our waiter told us there's usually a long wait. They do take reservations if you have a minimum of 5 people. There were 5 of us. Originally they seated us in the booth but I guess we looked squooshed so they offered us a bigger table. I am so glad we went to a bigger table because we ordered way too much food, as usual, and I'm not sure how we would have fit everything on the table if we stayed in the booth. We ordered, jasmine rice, brown jasmine rice, sticky rice, deep-fried calamari, stuffed chicken wing, papaya salad, seafood peanut curry, chicken green curry, spicy eggplant with pork, garlic fish fillet, Pad Thai and Pad Woon Sen. I am so upset at myself for not taking any pictures but I assure you that everything looked great. Our favorites were the stuffed chicken wings, peanut curry, garlic fish, and both noodle dishes. The stuffed chicken wings were so flavorful and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It went well with the sweet and sour dipping sauce. The peanut curry was very creamy. If you're not able to tolerate hot foods make sure you order the mild. The garlic fish was amazing. It was deep fried sea bass covered in a sweet and sour garlic sauce. If you're a garlic everything person, this one is for you. Both noodle dishes were very good. I think this will be our go to for Thai Food from now on. read more

I've lived in Thailand for five months and have had trouble finding good Thai food. This place hits the spot. I would really like it if they had tiny dried shrimps for the pad Thai. What I love about a lot of Thai restaurants is how accommodating they are to dietary preferences. For most of their entrees, you can choose your spice level and protein. I don't remember off the top of my head, but I believe you can get beef, pork, chicken, shrimp/seafood, or tofu for the entrees. My family was craving Thai food for dinner and so we ordered the following for takeout: Thai-style Fried Chicken, Pad See Ew, Tom Yum Soup, Red Curry and a side of Sticky Rice. - Thai-style Fried Chicken: Extra crunchity crunch crunch! I absolutely loved their deep-fried batter and tender meat on the inside. The sweet and sour sauce that was served on the side just completed the dish. - Pad See Ew: there was a nice bouncy chew to the rice noodles with an addicting sweet-soy sauce. I prefer this dish with either beef or pork! Tom Yum Soup: their classic Thai soup, and when done right is oh-so-delicious! It was tangy with just a hint of heat with a generous amount of mushrooms and seafood. Yum! - Red Curry: This is probably my favorite type of Thai curry. I absolutely love the bamboo shoots that give this dish the extra crunch that other curries don't have. Don't be too intimidated by the red color, this one had barely any heat to it but was still delicious and creamy. - Sticky rice: no Thai meal is complete without a side of sticky rice, and this place does it so right--chewy, yet pillow-y soft! Siam Garden Cafe has great food, and generous portions. All of this food fed four hungry adults (with some extra for later) for $60! I was also VERY satisfied with their takeout service. I really appreciated their consideration as they wrapped each container with an extra bag in case of spillage. I have been coming to Siam Garden Cafe for years and still personally believe that it is one of the authentic Thai restaurants on Oahu. My favorite Thai dish is green curry and theirs does not disappoint! A few other honorary mentions from their menu are yellow curry, pad Thai, sweet crispy noodles, and Fish Fillets w/ celery. Keep in mind that their curries do not come with rice so you do have to get a side order of rice! They have sticky rice that comes in a cute leaf container or regular jasmine rice as well. Their employees are sweet, the ambiance definitely feels like you're in a Thai restaurant, and the food is fairly priced. Overall it's a great place to go when you're craving Thai food. P.S. if you're really in to spicy food you can ask for Thai spicy level. It is extremely spicy and I wouldn't recommended it but if you're into it then give it a try! read more

We ordered a bunch of food worth $100+ for a family of 8. -Pad See Lew -Siam Jungle Curry -Spring Rolls x2 -Basil Chicken Stir Fry -Fried Calamari and.... -Stuffed Chicken x2 It was my first time trying Stuffed Chicken which was surprisingly good. I come here often with my family & boyfriend and it's been great but unfortunately today was different. I called my order in at 6:10 and the waitress said it was gonna take 15 minutes. My boyfriend picks up the order and it took 25-30 minutes. We didn't even order much and the restaurant wasn't even busy. What turned me off was when we paid with card, pressed the "no tip" option, my boyfriend said to have a good night and the waitress with an attitude said "yeah, okay". Since when are we obligated to tip on a takeout.... All she did was put the containers in a bag.... Yet alone why would we tip when we had to wait 10-15 minutes longer? I've also noticed that some of the waitresses are in a great mood and some are bitchy. Ehh to the service but the food is good. read more

Had a craving for good pad thai so I remembered this place that I'd gone to a long time ago pre-covid that I didn't recall much except the food was good. It's not on our usual path near our house but really worth going to. We got tofu pad thai, which was really good, calamari (nicely breaded but cut differently in long chewy rings which I'm not used to; good sauce), raw papaya salad (good dressing!), and chicken penang (excellent)! I'd like to try more items like the stuffed chicken wings and more meat and vegetable items next time. Lots of parking, easy to order, friendly service! Will be back for sure! read more

My bf really likes this place so we were excited to dine in after a long day. We got here @ 9:10pm and they said take out only when they still had 2 tables left still eating. We were bummed cause we were looking foward to a dine in experience but we just got take out. We ordered Pad ki Mao with tofu & shrimp, Beef larb salad, Stuffed Chicken wings, & Mango sticky rice dessert. (Our food was ready to go and we left before the 2 tables dining in still.) Yeahhh whatever i guess they had a long day and really wanted to go home already... oh welllll ... The food was good at least! That made us happy, I don't think we would get the Mango sticky rice again.. They don't give you much mango, wayy too much sticky rice & there wasn't much coconut sauce in it as well. We definitely have our favorites, but it's been fun comparing different places while also supporting local restaurants. For us, Siam Garden Cafe rates in the middle of the pack - in terms of both flavor and value. We tried the Siam Jungle Curry and the Spicy Eggplant with Chicken. The taste/flavors were OK, but not noteworthy. The portion sizes seemed a bit smaller compared to other Thai eateries. And the prices seemed a bit higher. Lots of parking, but the stalls can be a bit snug if you have a larger vehicle. All in all, it was a nice place to try, and it's a good option if you're in the area. Siam Garden Cafe is my go to Thai restaurant. I am never disappointed with the panang curry and pad kee mao, which are my favorite dishes there. In my opinion, their panang curry is the best there is. I've been to many Thai restaurants/food trucks on the island and I have to say that there is none better. Same goes for their pad kee mao. The service is always good. The wait staff are friendly and accommodating and we never have to wait long for our food. Siam Garden Cafe is probably one of my absolute go-tos for Thai food. They have an extensive menu with a lot of dishes I actually had in Thailand. Believe it or not, I think I only had pad thai in Thailand once, and I've been there a few times now. Thai food is so much more than pad thai and papaya salad (although I truly love both). I've dined in as well as grabbed take out from Siam Garden Cafe and you can't really go wrong. One thing I love about Siam Garden Cafe is the many fish options. I love fried fish haha. You can choose fillet if you want to keep things simple, but if you really want a good fried fish, you need to go for the whole fish (which is market price). You can't go wrong with the garlic fish or the fried fish with chili sauce. The steamed fish with lime juice is delish also! Other favorites consist of the drunkard's noodles, stir-fried ong choy, and the Siam jungle curry. Menu only offers meat options as your protein, but you can substitute it for tofu to make your meal vegetarian-friendly. The other plus about Siam Garden Cafe is that it's located in Nimitz Plaza so parking is pretty easy for the most part. I've never seen it super packed. I've seen reviews that talk about the service. It can be a little slow, trying to get the server's attention at times but it's not worst than most. read more

My wife and I saw Siam while waiting for my son. He was getting a haircut at "Cutthroat." It was just a few doors down. Parking was not a problem. At 5 p.m., we had plenty seats to choose from. They have a cool Thai vibe going on. The menu had so many choices. The service was quick and pleasant. Food was pleasantly surprising. Flavors were on point. My favorite was the sweet, crunchy noodles. We will definitely be back to try the Currys soon. read more
