Sicilian Café is way bigger on the inside than it looks. The outdoor bar area was completely full when we arrived, and the interior dining room was packed too--the crowd never really let up, which I think says a lot. We had reservations and were seated immediately. We started with the garlic bread and bruschetta, both of which were excellent. The mozzarella on the bruschetta was especially rich and buttery, definitely a standout. The moscow mule was refreshing, though I wish the ginger had a little more kick, and the cool strawberry mocktail was superb, not too sweet with the mint coming through. For mains, the spaghettini had naturally sweet tomatoes and a thick sauce that clung beautifully to the noodles. The scallops were fresh and sweet, though the mushroom risotto with saffron crème they sat on leaned tangy, which might be hit-or-miss depending on your palate. The chicken piccata was also quite tart, true to style. And the pork special was good too. We ended with the spumoni that was cherry-forward, and tiramisu, which was fantastic. Decadent, yet light and airy.

This restaurant is has a low key vibe. The food is delicious and made with care. The service really depends on the server. Some are Aces and some are not. My favorite appetizer is the bruschetta blu

This was my first time at this restaurant and I have to say, I was extremely impressed!! The veal Parmesan was one of the best I've ever had, the service was impeccable and especially with a table of children! The vibe of the restaurant is really nice! It's a little hidden gem of Chico! I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing. The service was just as amazing! And now has become one of my favorite spots to go! Will definitely be returning!! I wish I could give it more stars!!

This has been a family staple for generations and they've still got it! Multiple mocktail options available! I had the strawberry mint one and it was spectacular! Antipasti came out as usual, salami, cheese, olives and carrots for all. We ordered garlic bread, bruschetta caprese and gluten free calamari which was amazing! The Caprese was the winner for those who had bread. We ordered gluten free veal piccata, veal Marsala and two scallop entrees. The green salad with half and half balsamic and bleu dressing is still as good as it was years ago! Thanks for keeping this wonderful quality establishment going for so long! The new location looks great on you! Very well deserved.

Not bad not bad. Favorite was by far the veal picatta. Savory, salty, tart, and tender. Absolutely delicious. The complimentary bread, oil and balsamic, and the little olive, meat, and cheese plate was fine, but in my opinion, they should just offer one and make them both excellent. Both were fine but nothing to write home about. The chicken soup was the best I ever had and I still think about it. The clam chowder was good but paled in comparison. Service was great. Quick and friendly. No complaints. Ambience was nice, a bit upscale. This place is really popular with elderly folks we noticed. Overall verdict is I'm glad I tried it because i had been wanting to for a long time but it also wasn't good enough for me to want to spend $93 plus tip for 2 people.

Absolutely loved our server Rebecca. She was so full of personality and she has wonderful knowledge of the menu. When the dish I wanted was sold out, she recommended the chicken piccata which was amazing. She also recommended that I try the espresso martini. They were Devine. I had 2. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Went here during a very busy time of the year so we expected it to be packed. We waited about an hour for food so we were happy we got there early. Our server explained that a big party had come in and slowed some things down. All of the staff were very kind and attentive. The food was very good and I really enjoyed the complimentary veggie, cheese, and salami platter.

Everyone was so friendly and kind. Food is excellent. I had the halibut. Love the tomato confit. The Brussels are tasty. Great bar. Excellent service and nice dining room. By the end of the meal we were the last of six other tables to leave including a table of six celebrating a birthday. Clearly our waiter was holding down a second job because waiting on us was certainly NOT his first priority. They didn't have the alcohol available to make one of their specialty drinks. That took between 10-15 minutes to figure out. We had ordered the crab dish and were about half way through it before we saw our waiter again. When he finally returned I ordered a drink with Midori in it. I was informed by the water that it was in stock. Again, 10-15 minutes goes by and I decided if I was ever going to get a drink I would have to get it myself. I went to the bar and requested a Cosmo. I thought, how hard could that be to make. While waiting a lady at the bar asked me about my Midori drink. I told her if she wanted a good one to go to Woodstocks as the pizza place has it available ALL the time. My cosmo was done and it had to be the most fowl mixed drink I have ever had in my life, I am 62 years old. I carried it back to the table. We had long run out of bread for the crab dip and was not offered anymore . Our dinner orders had not been ordered yet. Behind us we could hear the table of six celebrating their dessert and to my horror all the tables that had come in after us were either on their main course or finishing up. Out of nowhere, for the first time a water later showed up to fill up our empty water classes. I didn't even know they had someone there that did that. We ordered our main course AND I VERY CLEARLY STATED I wanted my dessert at the same time as I was so disgusted I just wanted out of there. Of course, ONLY our entry showed up. I very politely reiterated that I had already ordered the desserts for delivery at the same time. No apology. Just ANOTHER 10-15 wait for food that was ALREADY ORDERED! I worked in France for several years and what The Grill calls "chocolate mousse " is ANYTHING but that. It is a dense chocolate pudding type mixture that will make your skin crawl it is so gross. So. we paid $112.00 for a crab dip we couldn't finish because the place is too cheap to offer more bread. After THREE tries I ended up with a completely undrinkable cosmo (which they took off the bill - big deal), my daughters salmon was not delicately cooked but obviously over done, I got TWO WHOLE shrimp in my dish. Can you spell CHEAP!, and some chocolate mess that the restaurant has the AUDACITY to call chocolate mousse. Completely deplorable service, mostly uneditable food and cocktails NOT available as ADVERTISED on their own menu. We make a point to eat at a different restaurant in Chico every time we visit our daughter. We will NEVER be back

We were greeted immediately and asked if we had reservations, which we didn't but was graciously seated in a very short time. Our server was at our table with water and rolls in less than three minutes. She took our drink order and had them back to us quickly. The place was crowded but service was excellent! I had the rib eye and my wife had the grilled chicken. The dinners included salad plus two sides. We opted out of appetizers due to the amount of food offered on the menu. My steak was grilled perfectly as was my wife's chicken. I ordered glazed carrots as one of my sides and received fresh carrots in a sweet glaze (perfect)! Wife had asparagus and it was perfectly cooked. I didn't get pictures of the food because there was a baseball game on one tv and football on another! Sorry! The restaurant interior was classic steakhouse with a nice bar. We will go again!

Sadly my $59 Prime Rib had a LOT of fat, much more than I've ever had anywhere. Also they no longer offer baked potato as an option so instead I chose "loaded" mashed potato and I liked it. I also liked my asparagus as a side. One of our friends also ordered Prime Rib and also overall wasn't that happy with his and the fact of no baked potato bumbed him out as well. His 4 small limp carrots had a massive amount of cinnamon on them. The side salads that came with our Prime Rib were nice. The Caesar salad (with shrimp) that one of our friends ordered she found to be very disappointing with a massive amount of very small croutons. The Chef salad (with added steak) that my wife ordered also wasn't very good. The fried pickles chips weren't as good as their former fried pickles and for $9.50 we expected more of them. Note that we went on Saturday June 21st, 2025 the longest daylight of the year however they no longer offer/do outside seating for dinner. For their overall prices I would expect like most steakhouses that charge as much as Lassen currently does these days to have cloth napkins however Lassen only supplies cheap paper napkins. We live 1/2 hour away in Chico and have decided we'll no longer drive all the way to Vina's Lassen Steakhouse.
