If you want a delicious dinner, always trust Fabio. I've been going to his restaurants since 2012, and I have never had a bad dish. Here is no exception. We did the Forget About It, which is a 5 course tasting menu for $85, wine pairing is another $40. Husband did the wine pairing while I tried a mocktail. He loved all the wines, and my drink was delicious too. I highly recommend doing the tasting menu if you've never been here before. It's a good deal, and you won't leave here hungry. Lavender Bramble - $9 - Refreshing and not overly sweet flavor. I sipped on this throughout the meal, and it was a great palate cleanser. 5/5 stars. First course was Burrata - $19 - served with tomato jam and basil oil. Great way to start off. Also, you never realized you needed tomato jam in your life until you eat this dish. The bread is lightly toasted with olive oil. Overall, a good balanced dish. 5/5 stars. Second course was Wagyu Beef Meatball - $24 - served with a tomato sauce and ricotta. The giant meatball is dense but juicy and herb flavored. The tomato sauce is nice and not overly acidic. You also get more bread to wipe up the leftover sauce. You could have given me some spaghetti and two more meatballs, and I'd have been a happy camper. 5/5 stars. Third course was Rigatoni Alla Vodka - $24 - served with ricotta, basil, and bread crumbs. The sauce was perfect and just saucy enough for all the rigatoni. The basil was nice complement to the heavy sauce. 5/5 stars. Fourth course was Brick Chicken - $38 - served with crispy potatoes and a lemon wine pan jus. The chicken texture is dense but still juicy and delicious. You get one piece of thigh and one piece of breast. The wine needed a few more minutes to cook out for my preference, but it was still good. 5/5 stars Fifth course was Peppermint Brownie Gelato - $8 - I'm not a fan of peppermint, but it was pretty good in this gelato. $8 might be a bit much for one scoop, so I recommend doing the flight of four scoops for $15. The Asian in me likes that deal more. Try the tasting menu, you'll have a good time. If not, here are some recommendations. Gnocchi, Lasagna, and Truffle Mushroom Pizza. Went here for a business dinner. Food and service were both excellent. Place was very crowded on a Tuesday night with a corporate event going on and dominating the bar area. Got there early And had a glass of Chianti at the bar. Seated on time with my two guests. Food was good to share, fist the lasagna. Full of flovor and well built it held up to the fork. Very good. Short rib also tasty and excellent. Third was a pizza humble yet very good. Deserts were nice had some chocolate cake and olive oil cake. They brought my co-diner's salad out with their entree. The whole experience felt super rushed. They also consistently gave the wrong dishes to each of the three of us. I think the whole waiter/server division of duties had people bringing us food who hadn't taken our orders and they didn't know who got what. Twice they tried to deliver us food meant for other tables. I had the squid ink linguine. I thought the pasta was ample and tasty but the sauce was super thick and the lobster felt very chewy and dry. The mandarine sorbet was ok. I wasn't wowed by it. It was at least light and tasty, unlike the pasta dish which felt heavy and gloppy. The fruit sauce with my friend's dessert seemed a weird combo. We ordered several dishes to share including the brussel sprouts salad (new for me but it wasn't too bad), the cauliflower (not my favorite, could have used a little more of a roast), the meatball (just what we expected), the burrata (thumbs up), sea bass (my fav), and bucatini (basically like macaroni and cheese but with long pasta, no complaints). I can confirm that both the salt and smoke flavor were there, but in a good and fitting way. The coccoli was our appetizer and seems to be the most popular item. Though it is a simple dish, it didn't disappoint. The flavors blended well together and formed a good standard for the food to come. From the prosciutto to the cheese and basil pesto, everything was just right sitting on top of the fried dough. For a pizza, we got a half truffle mushroom and burnt pepperoni. Both sides tasted as expected, and the dough of the pizza was cooked excellently. This was probably my least favorite item. The Orecchiette and gnocchi were the pasta dishes we ordered. The orecchiette was flavorful but a bit salty. The meat in the dish was excellent and provided a nice contrast to the saltiness of the sauce. As for the gnocchi, it was the favorite dish by my group. The gnocchi itself was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was nicely seasoned and creamy. Every bite of the dish was a warm velvety experience, and I highly recommend it. Best meal I had in Chicago - everything I hoped for! Fresh and flavorful. We started with the coccoli which is primarily a warm heavenly cloud of baked bread that melts in your mouth that is perfectly complimented by fresh pesto, prosciutto and cheese that can hold their own individually. Just comes together wonderfully. Simple ingredients but executed to perfection. My friend had the chicken which was very very flavorful - a tad boring to order but a great option for someone looking for a simple dish. I had the gnocchi with the sage and truffle cream. My good friend and Chicago native An recommended Siena Tavern when I mentioned my working vacation to Chicago. He knows I love Italian food, but just like with a famous Italian place back home, I actually fell in love with one of their chophouse style, non-pasta dishes. I made a reservation and snagged a seat at the bar. Alyssa my server was an absolute rockstar! She matched me on dad jokes when I told her mine about my allergies to anything from the water and my Pisces sign. Her mixology, starting with the Bourbon Old Fashioned, was on point. The drink was well blended and the presentation artistic. Similarly, her recommendation for my Mezcal Martini digestif was as good. The taste wasn't overly sweet and the blend perfect to close out my dinner. Although I framed my request to my friend as an Italian restaurant, I actually got to enjoy Siena's chophouse cuisine. Take my advice and check out their Brick Chicken Diavolo! Served on a bed of arugula, baby tomatoes, red onions, shaved parm and potatoes, this pressed half chicken has a subtly hot seasoning that enhances the au jus natural flavors. Hearty, filling and yummy! Make sure to leave some space for the Chocolate Gianduja. Essentially a brownie with meringue and nuts it makes a sweet closing without overwhelming your taste buds with sugar. read more

This is one of my favorite spots to eat in Chicago. Very trendy, great food, great service. We had a group of 6, we had to make reservations online to get a table for dinner on a Saturday night. Our server was really nice, and there wasn't a long wait for our food. We had ordered the wagyu beef meatball to start. That was amazing, it was enough to share between 2-3 people. We also ordered the Orecchiette, the bucatini cacio e pepe, lasagna, and the banzino. All we're tasty and portioned just right. For dessert we had the Bombolini, and several flavors of gelato. Also good! It was definitely a weekend vibe w/ dim lights and loud music. We had walked from our hotel, there's a pretty busy nightlife in the area. I'll definitely be back again. read more

Came back for happy hour (3-6 pm in bar area) and was so glad we did! We had the following: arancini (scamorza cheese, arrabbiata, fried prosciutto), wagyu beef meatball slider (bellwether ricotta, pomodoro sauce), mini tavern burger slider (truffle aioli, balsamic caramelized onions, arugula, fontina), sea bass milanese slider (lemon caper aioli), and squid ink linguini (grilled lobster tail, spicy lobster cream). The sliders were pretty small but not going to complain since they were $4 each. My small child ate two sliders and two arancini when normally she eats ~half a kid's meal and says she's full. The clear favorite slider was the wagyu beef meatball. It was the most flavorful and filling of the three. The arancini were also good and my toddler happily gobbled them down. The sauce it comes with has a slight kick but she only noticed afterwards. The squid ink linquini was delicious and paired perfectly with the lobster. However, the pasta sauce was a bit on the heavy side. Will be back again to try more menu items (hopefully sooner rather than later)! read more

For antipasta, the Burrata and Grilled Octopus were great. If I were to come back on my own dime, I would prioritize the Burrata. For dinner, I shared the Tortellacci and Baked Lasagna. Both of these were fantastic. I can't decide which I liked better. Maybe the Lasagna. For dessert, we ordered one of everything and got flights of the Gelati & Sorbetti. All of the desserts were excellent. I ate way too much and now my stomach hurts. The Salted Caramal, S'Mores, and Malted Milk Chocolate stood out to me of the Gelatis. Can't go wrong. read more

Way too doughy, not even a tan on that backside. The pizza was cold. It was a minute bc that cheese was just sitting there. So that was disappointing. $24. The pizza was split. 8 slices (?) maybe 14 inches? Service: 4/5 We were able to get full service at the bar so that was great. Brian/Bryan was nice to us and checked in for the whole service despite the business. Other ppl did help us from time to time. We were waiting for a bit to get our food while the guy next to us was already being served and he kept updating us on the eta. That was nice.
