Truly the best spot in Downtown Pittsburgh for a rooftop happy hour!! Great vibes and incredible drinks. I have been multiple times and it never disappoints.

Fig and Arugula Pizza
Cameron

Nice atmosphere and solid Italian food, I really liked the ambiance with the lights, holiday decorations, and lighting. The drinks were really fun, especially their seasonal ones! The pizza and pasta were also fairly good, you can definitely feed two per pizza, and the fig drizzle was delicious! It's a very floppy pizza crust, which isn't my preference, but it was a good thin style. The other flavor combinations also looked good, especially the hot honey. The only thing is that the food and drinks took forever to arrive, even when the restaurant was only half full. But, our server was very nice and took great care of us, so overall, would still recommend as a solid spot downtown!

Pumpkin Waffles - delicious

It has been a few years since I was in this establishment, but nostalgia kicked in as soon as I got seated by the window. This is one of the few places in downtown that survived the pandemic and offers a rooftop bar. Very nice! There are 3 floors and different ambiences. We were welcomed with a dazzling mimosa tasting that sparked joy and bubbles. The pumpkin waffle was absolutely amazing! Thank you for your hospitality.

French Toast...not great, lots of ham and somewhat burnt.

Came with some friends for brunch. We had reservations which was good because it was packed. Food took a while to come out but the staff was friendly and helped us navigate the drink ordering. Loved the fireworks when the drinks are delivered. Now for the bad. Food took a long time to come out. I ordered the quiche and the waitress brought me French toast instead. That was really disappointing but I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for my meal so I accepted the French toast. It was pretty bad ; burnt on the edges and just smothered in jam. When I got my bill I expected some compensation for the wrong food, but they didn't even apologize again. Not impressed.

creme brulee

The service was good and they were kind about the issues that we had. Someone in my group ordered the chicken parm, the chicken was raw, and needed to be taken back. They comped the chicken so if that was the only issue it would've been completely fine. Then for dessert we ordered crème brûlée and it came out with completely burnt sugar and gritty texture. They comped the crème brûlée as well because it was not edible. Our server was incredibly kind and understanding. Otherwise our meal was very good, the gnocchi, spaghetti carbonara, and the salmon was great.

I was able to attend an event with a friend. Mamossa tower and pumpkin spice waffle. Food was yummy drinks were delicious and wait staff seemed a little overwhelmed but she was very nice. Just a relaxing Sunday afternoon with my husband and friend

Loaded Baked Potato Bowl!
Kate M.

This is such a fun concept of a restaurant located in Pittsburgh's Cultural District. It is a three-story building and each floor is a different menu. 1st Floor - Emporio: A Meatball Joint 2nd Floor - Mezzo 3rd Floor - Il Tetto Rooftop Beer Garden We picked to eat at Emporio, which is located on the first floor. I got the Loaded Baked Potato Bowl which was SO good. I will be dreaming about this meal for a while. It included so many of my favorite things. The base was white cheddar mashed potatoes and it was topped with tator tots, cheese, bacon, scallions, and two classic beef meatballs. They had a few bowls that they have already built, like the one I ordered, or you can build your own bowl. They have so many great ingredients and toppings to choose from. This is such a fun and unique location and I can't wait to check out one of the other floors on our next trip to Pittsburgh!

Wine flights

Hot honey pizza, salmon, and chicken marsala were delicious and nicely presented. We enjoyed our wine flights, and the service was terrific. Looking forward to trying the rooftop bar next summer!

Went with some friends on a weekday night so it was pretty empty. I got a pasta to which I cannot remember the name of it but it had chicken on it, and unfortunately it was very bland. The drinks were good though. However, I probably wouldn't come back.

Ask the Community - Sienna Mercato

Is it currently open for dine-in?

Yes. All three venues are open. Check the website at www.siennamercato.com to check out the latest hours.

Can you order food on the roof top?

Yes you can! We have a variety of delicious food including Buffalo Fried Chicken Balls, Fried Provolone, Chicken Wings, Cheesy Bread, Fried Zucchini, Buffalo Chicken Dip, Bar Olives, and Garlic Bread.

Can you bring friends that are not 21?

Yes you can! Guests that are not 21 are allowed to come to the Il Tetto but we ask that they leave the rooftop and head down to the first or second floor by 10pm. Thank you!

What's the music selection or minimal music?

I don't particularly remember the music, but the noise level isn't quiet and romantic. Its definitely more casual and talky, if you know what I mean.

I have a large group (fluctuating number for a conference) for Saturday night dinner. How busy will the roof top area be since they don't accept reservations?

I agree with Monica. If it's a nice night that place can get packed and they have rules about how many people can be on the roof at once... So depending on their timing some of your party may not even make it up to the roof all at the same time.

Came here after seeing a bunch of recommendations online and my son and I split a 16 inch half pepperoni, half cheese pie. The sourdough crust, the sauce, the cheese, all were excellent. Even though it was late we were greeted with exceptional customer service and were seated at a table. Our waiter, Remi with an I and not a Y was absolutely fabulous. He made great suggestions and the food did not disappoint. I ordered the 16 inch pepperoni with bacon. My daughter ordered the pepperoni roll and my wife ordered the meatballs and 2 Bianca slices. My wife's name is also Bianca so a double bonus. Our food came out about 15 minutes later and everything was piping hot. To my surprise the pepperoni came with the real bacon strips on top and not your average bacon bits. The sourdough is top notch as well. I ate 6 of the 8 slices while my daughter ate two along with her pepperoni roll. My daughter enjoyed her roll but did wish it had more cheese. My wife enjoyed her meatballs. They give you 4 and are a decent size. She was only able to eat 3. The Bianca slice is a healthy thick slice. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Driftwood. The service was OUTSTANDING (Remi). The food was good. We ended up staying 20 minutes past closing and didn't notice any change in customer service. This place is definitely worth a shot.

This is a unique style and I love it. The sauce was amazing, the ricotta cheese was so delicious and their meatballs were tremendous. What I loved was the crust - it had some chew and some tug; there was a little bit of char on the outside and the bottom. The meatballs were delicious and that sauce! The vodka sauce was perfect. I would have thought I would have missed the standard cheese on a pizza but the ricotta was super good. I placed my order on their website and it was easy; I was able to pay using my Apple Pay, which was a plus. We arrived and it was ready but we stood talking to the men in the shop and they were so kind. They asked us questions about us when they learned we had, recently, moved here. As a new Yorker, it's so very hard to impress me when it comes to Pizza! I'm the pickiest! A true pizza snob! But this place was well worth all the hype! Underrated if you ask me! All of the staff were very friendly, and helped me decide what to try. It definitely gives "family vibes" as soon as you walk in there. It's the definition of a hole in the wall, but I loved it. I live all the way in east Pittsburgh by plum and I drive ALLL the way over to Brookline, through the tunnels and under the bridges and over the bridges and under the tunnels again LOL. Its 100% worth the drive. No other pizza will do. Also the provolone Sticks are to die for. Literally, I almost died. So cheesy! Be warned its a mouth full haha.

We were told there would be a wait, but our pizza was ready right when they said it would be. The staff was also extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Parking was a little tricky because of the location, but it was definitely worth it! The standout feature of this pizza for me was the flavor of the cheese (especially when paired with onions) that combination was easily my favorite part. They use a very generous, thick layer of cheese, which creates a rich and indulgent pizza. The cheese is quite oily and can slide off the crust, so personally the amount of cheese and oil was a little heavier than my usual preference. However, the chewy crust holds up well to the toppings, and there was still something really addictive about the overall flavor and texture of that cheese. One thing that surprised me was how good it was the next day when eaten cold. I actually prefer this pizza cold. The cheese and onions complemented each other even more, and the pizza felt a little less oily while allowing the flavors to shine even more. Overall, this is definitely a top-tier pizza place in the area. If you enjoy a flavorful, cheesy pizza with a great chewy crust, I would absolutely recommend giving it a try!

This shop will cook your pizza half cooked, as a lot of people like. We like ours well done cooked even longer than maybe the traditional cook time so we always request that. When my son went to pick up our pizza it was already sitting on the counter it had not been 15 since minutes since the order was placed. When he grabbed the box it was kinda wet on the bottom of box so we don't know if they set it on the counter on top of something ,but it was more than just extra sauce and onions that made the soggy like they assumed. We tried to recook it and when we took the pizza out of the box all the cardboard inside of the box was wet like something had been literally poured inside the box. I could barely get it out because it was so soggy it was falling apart. We live less than 5 minutes driving time so it was not from steam and cooking it more once we got home did not help it was that wet.. I have never seen pizza that soggy. I had my son call and they did not offer anything except advice on not to order onions or extra sauce when its humid out. We would have like a re-cooked pizza and to return the one we had especially since we had company. It was too wet to pick up a slice and inedible. So, if the owners see this maybe they'd like to somehow rectify it because now I have to start my grill to feed my company. Furthermore, if a customer orders extra sauce and onions on a pizza that.we are asking to be cooked well done an your only job is to cook pizza, you should advise the customer that it won't be crisp. We've ordered it that way before.. and as I said this was far beyond just soggy it was literally wet..and the 2 that ventured to eat it ,now have a stomach ache. It was most certainly undercooked and so wet it couldn't even be rebaked.
