Food was authentic for texmex! We ate breakfast and the place was not busy. We didn't have to wait long for our order. I do wish they had guacamole but that's a personal preference. The salsas were yummy!! Place was clean and a little hidden over to the side of the strip center.

This place took me by surprise! I walked in and right off the bat the customer service was great. I ordered the Migas with bacon and the food looks and tasted amazing. Some of the best migas I had in a very long time. The salas were PERFECT and flavorful. The place looks exactly like it should, like a taqueria!

This is one of our favorite breakfast taco places. This time, I ordered the chorizo and egg, which came in a well stuffed flour tortillas. I should try the corn ones next time. The service is friendly and fast. There are seats and tables available, but we saw many people order takeout.

Wow! After my sister and I tried this place over 10 years ago and not liking it, this place has new owners and I am so glad I gave it another chance! Food is made fresh, salsas are on point nice and spicy, and service is spot on! Ambience is cozy since they actually okay Mexican music. I highly recommend. Owner is from Oaxaca.

I was craving tacos and remembered that this place was located next to my dry cleaners. I came in with my husband and we decided to give it a try since it has so many good reviews. They're located behind Wendy's in s strip mall plaza. We ordered a set of five street tacos, beef and pork and a crunchy spicy shrimp tostada both dishes that were fresh flavorful and delicious ! The lady at the counter was very nice and welcoming . Would definitely come here again !

I have found some of the BEST, most Favouful and Original Mexican around here: Breakfast Tacos are OUTSTANDING! The Chilaquiles were Original and AMAZING!! Victor and his son's Victor & DJ cook up some FANTASTIC flavours- right now I'm here, checking out their Friday night menu- Honey, I'm HOME!! Check this Place out- you will NOT be disappointed!

The tacos were soo delicious and the beans yum. I will go back to try the pastor taco. Highly recommend the taco I got if you like beef. Good price too. This is what you call an AMAZINGGGG hole in the wall. The most authentic Mexican food you're going to find on this side of town. On top of that the one thing you'll always get from them is consistency. Every single time we come the food is always good and always made the same way. They don't have off days, why y i appreciate! After looking at all the great reviews I decided to stop by for lunch. It's a small quiet place.we ordered a steak torta and chicken mole enchiladas. The torta was ok.price is a bit high (8.49). It had a hint of lime. The buns were nice and toasted. The mole enchiladas tasted like home made chicken flautas with mole(premade store bought)poured on top. The service and hospitality was wonderful. It's a family owned restaurant that treats you like a member of their family. If you're close stop by and try something else. LOVED the food from Sierra Madre! It's a little hole in the wall, there are a few table where you can sit, but we ordered to go. The menu is in English and Spanish, which I see as a good sign, Self serve chips & salsa are available while you wait. There is also a salsa bar with many different fresh salsas. Once I met their spicy green salsa, I looked no more. I have chicken tacos and Hubby got the trompo tacos, Tasty, fresh and lots of food. Summary- Amazing tacos, great salsa's at this kinda divey shop. You order at the counter then sit down and they bring out the food. Food- 5 Stars The chips and salsa are self serve and excellent. There was a "main" salsa at the chip station, and a hot one as well. Both were awesome, I actually liked mixing them 50/50 best. There is also a ginormus salsa bar off to the side that has a large selection of salsa's/toppings like Pico and Tomatillo some other ones I couldn't ID but were awesome. We got a order of Tacos de Trompo (pork al pastor and onions) and Tacos de Pollo (essentially Fajitas). Both were fantastic through and through. The pork was flavorful and cooked well without being dry, the onions were awesome. These little corn tortillas with the pork, onions, and some of their pico were straight up heaven. The Tacos de Pollo were also excellent. Service- 4 Stars Nice and helpful. Atmosphere- 4 Stars Could be a little bit cleaner, but it's perfectly nice inside. They also need to find a better layout/spot for the cold salsa bar, it's awkward when busy. Value- 5 Stars Lots of great food for short $. read more

Good Breakfast! The egg dishes and mini tacos are good. Whatever dish you order, they give you good portions. We've had Migas here and the Huevos Divorciados for breakfast. The Huevos Divorciados are my personal favorite. Comes with two runny fried eggs placed on lightly fried corn tortillas. One fried egg has a green hot sauce on it and the other with the red hot sauce. Both are delicious! The plate also comes with bacon and beans. The bacon is fried to perfection and very tasty. Also comes with tortillas They also have self-served chips and a big salsa stand with many different types of salsa you can try. One note, they are closed on Sunday! read more

Authentic, home-style food for the masses. This place has 4 unique salsas which are arranged by spice level. The pork torta (sandwich) is giant and delicious, I highly recommend it. This is located in the far back corner of this shopping mall, so be sure to keep a close eye out for it. The prices are low and you can get a meal and a drink w/tax+tip for less than 10 dollars. read more

I came for dinner here on a Friday night. They were not busy at all, just us and another guest were inside. The service was great, the owner of the restaurant (or so it seemed like he was the owner) was very kind and attentive. Our food came out surprisingly really quickly and it was really good. I ordered the tacos de bistek (pictured here). I'm only giving them a 4 stars instead of 5 because my friend had beans and her order and she swore it tasted like can beans. So yes, they do loose a star for that. Still would go back and would want to try their breakfast! read more

This is my favorite taqueria that is not only close to home but clean and nice. The owners are pretty good people, they engage with their customers and know them by name. The Salsa bar is to die for, the Tostada Siberia, Tacos, Tapado and Sopes are just some of our favorites. Our daughter loves getting the Kids Quesadilla with refried beans. Emilio (the owner) treats us as family and knows what we prefer to eat, they cook everything from scratch in front of you and give great service doesn't matter if they are very busy. I suggest that if you are in the area to give them a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

The only reason I'm rating a 4 Star is because the corn tortillas are not fresh. Pretty much from a bag. However, their huevos divorciados and huevos rancheros were delicious. I loved the green and red salsa on top of the huevos divorciados! Just the right amount of heat and taste! Will definitely be coming back for the torta and tacos! read more

What a great local spot! Very fresh food...very nice chef/owner, very clean restaurant. They have a sauces and condiments bar and a chips and salsa bar. One of the salsas is served in a crock pot, warm...very tasty. I love the jalapeños and both green salsas. It's so nice that these two bars are offered since some places charge you for extra for even just more salsa! Not here! It felt like eating at a friend's home. And they serve breakfast too. Now for the main event... We had the shrimp tacos and the carnitas burrito (La Gringa). Both were excellent and plentiful. Tasted homemade. The tacos came with a small salad, avocado, rice, AND roasted potato and carrots(!!!). SO GOOD. The burrito came with guacamole. The flavor of both dishes was so good. We wish we lives nearby (or even in the state!) so we can come more often. We can't wait to come back on our next trip to the Cypress area! read more

Amazing food it's pretty much order at the counter and self serve salsa bar. I love the Mexican breakfast they serve here. Feels like you're eating at grandmas kitchen. Minus 1 star because they didn't have servers so it kinda of took a long time and my food was not hot. Which is my biggest pet peeve to get cold food after taking a long time. I don't mind waiting for greatness just make sure it's hot. read more

Had a craving for some tacos for lunch today. Wife and I went to this place based on reviews and location was near us. First off service was great, food was just ok my tacos were soggy and salsa didn't have much flavor at all. My biggest gripe would be the price I mean they're tacos? So two orders of the two taco plates and one soda $34? And no option tip was included. I can find better places to get tacos and save a ton of money in the process. read more

I am confused by the high ratings. This is some of the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Enchiladas were dry, flavorless and did not have the carrots and potatoes as stated on their menu (enchiladas Rojas). We've been there one other time and thought maybe it was just a bad day (burrito was not good), so we decided to try it again. Needless to say we will not be going back. read more

For example, when she asked if we were ready to order, we began listing our items, but she abruptly told us to hold on because she wasn't ready. Later, when I finished my tea, she informed me that refills would cost extra, which I didn't mind paying for, but the way it was communicated felt unnecessarily harsh. To add to that, when I tried to pay with Apple Pay, her card reader wasn't working properly, and instead of resolving it at the table, she asked me to get up and pay at the front register. Overall, the food was excellent, but the service and communication could use improvement. A more welcoming and patient approach would make a big difference in the overall experience.

The gal at the counter who took our order wasn't as friendly as the hostess but she was polite enough to inform us about the 15% charge. The food came out very quickly. Hopefully it's because they had a ton of people working in the back. Hopefully. I ordered the Magic Mushroom Tacos and thought it was a beautiful plate. My favorite thing about the dish is the tortillas. It had a nice light crisp to it and kept all the fillings intact from start to finish. The "Magic Mushrooms" were good but could have been better if the batter were lighter and crispier. The batter was a little on the heavy and dense side for me. I also think the sauce could be even better if it had a bit less oil and a bit more flavor. I really enjoyed the potato slices and the fresh berries were a great way to cleanse the palate. My lunch date ordered the Biscuit and gravy dish and thought it was good. We also ordered a side of the Belgian waffle to share. I thought the waffle on its own was extremely sweet and way too dense for my liking. That wasn't listed in the description, and I personally don't like raw onions, so it definitely affected the meal for me. I think ingredients like that should be clearly stated. The cheese sauce tasted like standard heated nacho cheese and was very runny, not what we expected from a breakfast dish. The sour cream also tasted off. Later, when I finished my tea, she informed me that refills would cost extra, which I didn't mind paying for, but the way it was communicated felt unnecessarily harsh. To add to that, when I tried to pay with Apple Pay, her card reader wasn't working properly, and instead of resolving it at the table, she asked me to get up and pay at the front register. Overall, the food was excellent, but the service and communication could use improvement. A more welcoming and patient approach would make a big difference in the overall experience.

They have fresh hand made chips and many types of hot salsas which is an added bonus that really makes this place so good .. Like the owner said we have great food and so many salsas to choose from and in Mexico that's what it gets down too is the different salsas . I'll reiterate what others have said: excellent, simple, authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price. Run by really nice people. If you are tired of the same-ol'-same-ol', give them a try. I grew up with friends from Mexico and Colombia and ate the best food with their families every week.
