Lots of stuff. Kinda chaotic, but if you're looking for Thai staples for your pantry, this is the place for it. Good stop after some grub from near by Thai restaurants.

For the last 30 years there's been this supermarket in the back. Dumbfounded I had no idea So when I found out they have Mama Pad Thai noodles i came by and checked it out. This whole time what I thought was a facade was a actual live supermarket. Stepping inside this place and comparing prices with other stores this location is more eco friendly. The reason I found out about this place is because outside on the street is where they sell street Thai food. Do y'all remember that movie ? Rumble in the Bronx ? Yeah the neighborhood is like New York and one gotta kick it like Jackie Chan. Hollywood Blvd is not the cleanest street but it is the most FUN!

I researched LA county and this is the ONLY Thai market that sells all the ingredients needed to make a wonderful Thai Tomyang soup. You will find the kaffir lime leaves, lemon grass , galanga, Limes, green onion, mushrooms all together in one spot and you can read the names of each vegestable. I posted photos of kaffir lime leaves, galangal, lemon grass.

We enjoy exploring this store. We like to get hard to find things like lemon grass and kefir lemon leaves, Thai lays chips and fried garlic chips That my daughter loves to sprinkle on almost everything.

Food at night is great. Variety of things to enjoy. Authentic tastes. Street parking is plenty.

Definitely something to do at least once in your life. Eat on the street. There's only four options. I was a little too hot for me I would love some rice

    Seafood salad

Seafood salad - really good and flavorful, good level of spiciness like jalapeño level Pad kra pow - super good, juicy meat and pairs really well with the rice Pad see ew - it's alright, not crazy flavor

This is my favorite Thai market in the Los Angeles area. Staff is polite. They will go out of their way to help you out, if needed. Parking not an issue here (there is plenty), except maybe on weekends I imagine. Aesthetically this market needs renovation bad - it's straight up ugly and disorganized. However, it's clean and has a charm to it. Compared to other Thai markets in the area this one more has stuff and maybe price range is a tad higher. If your looking for hard to find "Thai" ingredients, exotic veggies and herbs, spices, condiments; and cooking utensils this market has it all. Also, the Thai non-perishable and fresh snacks including desserts are tasty - not all. My only complaint is the expiration dates on produce. They had moldy "Thai birds eye chili peppers " in the produce section, nasty! One of the workers brought me a fresh pack of chili peppers from the back, so just say something if you notice something is not fresh or (worse) expired. The workers are pretty cool here.

And she made something amazingly delicious out of it! Fast forward a few years later, we were blocks away when I reminded her about this place. She asked if we can make a stop so she can make that same dish again. (She mentioned Hubbers might have made a request for it.) I was curious enough to go in this time. I expected it to be crowded because Sanamluang is incredibly popular. We were lucky to find the only open parking spot which happened to be right up front. This place is deceiving! Looks like a no nonsense place looking from the outside but it's pretty big once you get inside! They even have a seafood and meat section at the back. They'll also clean and fry in-store purchase fish. I did notice that most of their products are pricier compared to other Asian markets. I didn't have the need for any, so I came out empty handed. But Mom got the cut of meat she needed to make us dinner this week! Okay first stop (for me.) Being far from home, not sure when I'd come back... if the need comes up and I happen to be around, maybe...?

I had just come back from going…read moreout and ran into my mom in front of the elevator, and she asked me to go to the market with her. But honestly, this place is absolutely terrible and horrible. Both my mom and I agreed that we will never come back here again. My mom had come to get a refund because one of the pears she bought the day before was completely rotten. The market manager refunded $2 to her credit card, which was fine. The real problem started after that. When my mom was trying to drive out of the parking lot, the gate bar went up after scanning the parking ticket, but then suddenly came crashing down. If my mom hadn't quickly backed up, it could have hit her car. The bigger issue was that after that, the gate bar never went back up again. Cars behind us had to use another exit nearby. My mom, who was very shaken, went to ask the market manager what to do, but she said she didn't know. (At first, I stayed in the car and had to tell the cars behind us to use the other exit because the gate was not working). I was very upset when I heard that, so I went inside and asked the manager for the building management's contact number. She gave me a number, but when I called, the person who answered kept saying she couldn't find the address even after I repeated it more than ten times. Eventually, she told me they no longer manage that building. So I asked her to provide the contact number for the property management that handles the building, and she gave me another number. but it led to an automated system. After selecting the emergency option, a man answered, but even after I clearly spelled out "Zion" multiple times (Z as in Zebra, I as in Ice cream, O as in Oscar, N as in Nancy), he still couldn't understand and then told me that they no longer manage the building and hung up. We arrived at the market around 5 PM and didn't get out until 7 PM. No one helped us at all. After the call, I went back to the market manager again, but she still said she didn't know anything. It made me so angry--how can a manager not even know the property management contact for the building they work in? I also have low blood sugar, so when I get hungry, I start shaking. I ended up buying a piece of bread from the Paris Baguette inside the market. I didn't have cash with me, so I had to pay $3.50 with my card, but thankfully, the staff there was very kind. In the end, my brother had to come all the way from Burbank to get a new parking ticket for us so we could finally get out--after two hours. If he hadn't come, we might have been stuck there even longer or had to abandon the car. Thinking about it now still makes me extremely angry. The customer service is terrible, the building management is a mess, and there was no security at all. I never want to come back to this place. We spent two hours there, from 5 PM to 7 PM, completely wasting our time. Because of this, I couldn't do anything I had planned for the rest of the afternoon and evening. It was an absolute nightmare. My mom was also very upset and couldn't believe a place like this exists. FYI) Every time I come to this market, there is absolutely no cell phone signal., which is another major downside.
