Fabulous food. Enjoyed the beer, great pickle spears and very tasty pizza of the month. Service was very friendly, and pretty quick for a pizza to order. There seems to be a lot of fuss about the crust and the toppings. It is a thin chewy crust with this toppings, but not a crazy amount of cheese. Very enjoyable. Fun casual place with good food, draft beer, and custom cocktails. Parking is very strange and convoluted, but not a problem, I navigated a big SUV without any trouble. BUT pay attention to the directions so that you can leave when you are ready. And if you are already close by, just walk. read more

Nice setting near the beach, however parking is a bit congested. They have an upstairs and downstairs, we sat in the upstairs, which is the newer section. The upstairs is well done and overlooks the park and Lake Michigan. We started out with an appetizer of Irish nachos and then ordered two pizzas: The Carousel and The Whirlpool. Both pizzas were very good, but not awesome. They have a full bar with a nice selection of craft drafts. Definitely worth a visit! read more

As someone who doesn't even live in Michigan, I make it a point to come to St. Joseph once a year just to get this pizza. I have yet to find a pizza I enjoy, anywhere, more than the Harvest. It's a bit on the sweeter side, but the kale and bacon give it just the right amount of savory. I had The Boom for the first time this past week and enjoyed the spiciness of the boom boom sauce drizzled on top. It's loaded with fresh cabbage on top that paired well with the baked peppers and shrimp. From the fun mural on the wall to the lake breeze, the ambiance was perfection. We sat near the open windows on the main floor next to the train tracks and had a great view of the beach. We had multiple people walk by and ask about The Boom because it looked tantalizing and they wanted to try it. We had excellent service and a knowledgeable waitress who gave us recommendations and when we couldn't decide, ensured we could do half and half on the pizza. If you can't decide on just one of the many tempting menu options, I'd highly suggest doing a half and half, with Harvest being a non negotiable! read more

Well, where can I start. I was expecting a nicely made pizza crust like the ones you find in a good old fashioned pizza restaurant, but was disappointed with this crust. The pizza was loaded with toppings and that is what masks the quality of the crust. If you are hungry and ready to drink a lot of beer to mask the quality of the pizza, this is the place to go. I'm not sure how to write this review. Visiting SBP was very unique. In a perfect world I could give the food 3 stars and the pick up experience like 1 star, basically just for the kind staff. For starters, if you're someone who doesn't enjoy a stressful parking situation, this is NOT the place for you. The parking lot is extremely long and skinny and getting into / through it is unlike anything I have ever experienced - both confusing and feels like a weird haunted house or video game. The pizza is what I think is more 'Detroit style'. It kind of reminded us a Lunchable pizza and seemed super pricey. We weren't feeling brave enough to try one of their house options but maybe they would be better. The kale salad was excellent. The added chicken portion wasn't skimpy like you sometimes see and the ingredients were fresh and well portioned/evenly distributed throughout. Really enjoyed this and would gladly eat again. Price felt super reasonable here. We wanted to try the wings but they don't do those to go, which in hindsight makes sense. The pick up process takes awhile and they likely wouldn't be very good by the time they got to you no matter what. read more

SO much to love about SBP... Best views in SW Michigan. Definitely plan to see an amazing sunset while you dine! My husband & I go to the over 21 Lounge located on the top level. Went there for our wedding anniversary. Service was very good. Food was terrible. Definitely not up to what I've had there in years past. First problem was we were given two menus that both indicated that building your own pizza included two ingredients. Waitress said that was no longer the case. I ordered mushroom, black olive on a large intending to take half home. Pizza was terrible. Like bad tavern style. Not just crispy on the bottom but brittle throughout. Sauce was scant or missing. Cheese skimpy. And olives or mushrooms were few and far between. I felt like we were being punked or worse the recipients of discrimination: he's got white hair, they're old, they didn't order drinks, they likely don't tip well. I tipped 18%. I tip at least 18% wherever I eat. But I should have requested the manager. Took half the pizza home. Had to toss it. Even dipping it in additional pizza sauce couldn't save it. read more

Very loud, very crowded, but atmosphere is family friendly. If you want to be away from kids they have an upstairs area for adults only! It is very nice and cozy. As close to a perfect pizza as one might find, with the only downside of the entire experience being total cost. I understand how quality ingredients can be expensive, but for a couple beers and a couple small pizzas being over $75, it can price a family out of going out to dinner. Luckily, I was able to get here and enjoy some really great fare. We ordered a deep fried shrimp and cabbage pizza, called "The Boom", with the boom boom sauce. This seemed to be strange for a pizza, but it absolutely did not disappoint. We also ordered the "Carousel" which is a really good supreme pizza. My coworkers and I wound up going upstairs for dinner - the upstairs area was really nice even in crappy weather. Dinner was good with two people getting pizzas on the menu while I got a build-your-own. The beer selection was pretty good as well. Service was a little slow for refill on waters and such, but it was pretty busy. Overall, it was a solid choice, though not standout. I am a bit picky on pizza options so I may be tough on that. We weighted a little over an hour for our table to ready this evening. When we were guided back to our table the hostess realized it had already been occupied by another party. I suggested another area we had walked by and she agreed it was open for us to occupy. We were quickly greeted by our waiter, drinks and appetizers were ordered shortly after. Within minutes our apps and drinks were at the table. My favorite app was the Farmhouse Bruschetta. It was light and flavorful on a crispy piece of bread. For our main course we ordered the Hawaiian Pizza and the Sicilian Pie. The crust they use on their pies is pretty unique. It's a light crispy crust that you don't normally see used as pizza crust. They do a good job of packing on fresh ingredients and give you more than enough protein on each slice of the pizza. Our server did a great job keeping an eye on our table and making sure all of our needs were addressed while we dined at the restaurant. Overall, it was a pretty epic dining experience. read more
