Amazing pizza! A little unique from your regular pizza joint. First off, what an awesome location. Right off the beach and downtown. Plenty of seating indoors. Also, very clean bathrooms! Service was great. She was friendly and efficient. We tried the whirlpool wonder pizza which had sausage, ham, pepperoni, peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives, and tomatoes. Let me tell you, this pizza is LOADED with all the toppings! It has crispy cheese on top, but then melted cheese under that crispy layer. It was delicious! The location of this place is amazing! They are right on the beach and have so much seating- indoor and outdoor (rooftop). They have vegan and vegetarian options as well as gluten free crust options! The portions are huge for the drinks and pizzas. Highly recommend the frickles for appetizer. The veggie pizza was delicious with vegan cheese- had a nice texture to it. Historically SBP would get 5 stars from me and most people I know. Recently visited SBP as it's been fav for a long time. Was disappointed by the lower quality. Less toppings on the pizza we ordered and the size of the pizzas were noticeably smaller by about 2". Used to get a whole piece of pizza as part of the Bloody Mary garnish but is now reduced to about a one square inch piece. Prices were not lowered and seem to be even a little higher. We have always considered SBP a treat worth spending extra on because the food and experience was consistently great. I don't know the reason for these changes but they definitely are noticed. I typically don't do reviews but decided to do one this time because I hope the owners will see it. I doubt I am alone in my thinking. read more

This is a really cool spot! It's an old train station (technically it still is an amtrack stop) turned into a trendy pizza place with literally the perfect location. This restaurant is walking distance from Silver Beach and from the main shops in Saint Joseph. They do have parking in the back just for customers, but sometimes I find it easier to park somewhere else and just walk as well. There's a drive thru window, but you absolutely have to order it ahead of time and only get in the line when they say your pizza is ready. Also, when you pull into the parking lot/drive thru, make sure to pay attention to which side of the road to drive on. I've had both take out and dine in, but I definitely recommend dine in. If you go at the right time and sit on the outside you have a perfect view of the sunset. Food wise, I LOVE how this place has everything for everyone. Our party contained vegan, gluten free, lactose intolerant, vegetarian, and a meat eater and we all were able to get something we could eat. The gluten free crust is honestly the best GF crust I've ever had. It was perfectly crispy and not chewy. The vegan cheese they use is also amazing. Even the non-vegans thought the vegan cheese was on point. Something I appreciate about this place is how they run their service. They have a puck on the table with a green side and a red side. If you need something or want to call a server all you have to do is flip the puck to the red side. If its green, they assume all is well and they won't stop to check in. The server was awesome and the location is great!!! This wasn't my 1st time going here and knew that we would have a wait so we called ahead and got on the list on our way. We were quoted an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. We live about 35 to 40 minutes away. We ended up waiting over 2.5 hours and when we got the text we were told sorry that was a mistake but the people at the table we would have just got up so it just needed to be cleaned which took another 20 minutes. We have 3 kids age ranging from 11 to 5 years and whike the things to do around the restaurant are wonderful for kids they were just so tired and hungry by the time we got our subpar pizza that it wasn't an enjoyable experience. The pizza really was not as good as it used to be for sure. The parking lot they have is pretty small but there is parking at the beach which is close. I do want to add that we were given breadsticks right away when we were sat down for the issues we had so that was nice. Also though even though there was no longer a wait when we were done eating and getting ready to leave an employee came over and started clearing our table not in a pre bus manner and we hadn't even finished our drinks. read more

Our family put our name on the waitlist at about 12:40 on a Sunday (told 60 min wait) and we were sat around 1:45. We ordered breadsticks, buffalo wings, medium Greek pizza, small pepperoni pizza, and a beer. After having a couple other meals in the area that were as pricey or more pricey than SBP, I was very impressed with the food to value ratio. The Greek pizza was great, the breadsticks were very good, the wings were solid! The beers come in schooners, or as my wife called it, a Chalice. Of all the years I went to College at Andrews University and hanging out at St Joe's, I'm surprised I never went here. I truly missed out on this gem! The variety of pizzas offered here, the delicious appetizers, and the drinks were all amazing! The bartender Brent was very accommodating to my cousins and my friends, and knew his drinks very well. The staff were very fast, efficient and the friendliest. Definitely a must go if you're ever in the area. It gets really busy, so try to make a reservation well ahead of time if you're planning on going. Silver Beach Pizza obviously has arguably the best location in all of St Joe. Any business would do well there, but SBP thrives because it is consistently spectacular. My favorite is actually Popeye's Calzone, and my husband swears by a classic meat pizza. I also strongly appreciate the inclusive menu with vegan chicken and cheese. It's fun to eat there and the Upper Deck can get particularly rowdy, but their COVID carryout procedure is down to a science. So grateful to have SBP in our town! read more

The sausage was layered on top but the rest of the meat was under the cheese. Loved that topping strategy. The marinara had a wonderful depth of flavor. *Parugula (Olive oil base with fresh garlic and fresh mozzarella. Topped with shaved prosciutto, arugula and shredded parmesan) - LOVED this one. Really light. Very garlicky. Proscuitto wasn't too fatty or stringy. Also, there's nothing quenches your thirst like their GOBLETS (aka the Schooner glass) of beer.
