I got crab and corn chowder and the warm roasted veggie salad. They were both just what I wanted. I also added Maryland to my quest to drink a local beer in each state. I wish there'd been something on draft like the menu implied. Service was okay. It took a bit before anyone acknowledged me at the table and the server seemed confused when I asked what was on draft.
The service was great!! Place was clean and comfortable! They accommodated our whole crowd , over 20 out of state folks!! The food was great! I ate here 2x in a week , some of us ate there 3x. My first visit was the quinoa pasta and that was surprisingly delicious!! When you visit the Harbor be sure to hit this spot!
Brunch all day at Silver Diner absolutely delivered! The mimosa flight made with sparkling wine was FIRE -- refreshing, smooth, and beautifully presented with flavors that actually tasted distinct instead of watered down. A perfect brunch starter and definitely Instagram worthy. The food was equally impressive. The pancakes were buttery, soft, and literally melted in your mouth with every bite. Eggs were fluffy, bacon had that perfect crisp, and the breakfast potatoes were seasoned and cooked just right. Portions were generous without sacrificing quality. The atmosphere was clean, modern, and comfortable with a great brunch vibe. Most importantly, the staff was awesome -- friendly, attentive, and kept the energy upbeat throughout the visit. Silver Diner proved that brunch doesn't have to be complicated to be memorable. Great drinks, great food, and great hospitality all around. Definitely a spot worth revisiting.
Silver Diner is located at the main entrance of National Harbor, in what was the former Elevation Burger. Interior is surprisingly large and even with this space, there was a 15-minute wait due to a large event happening in the harbor, so I decided to sit at the counter. Menu is reasonably extensive and includes all-day breakfast. I ordered the Lumberjack Breakfast with and coffee, which arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The eggs and coffee were average, with the bacon being good and the sausage link was thick. Home fries came with caramelized onions that were a pleasant surprise. Pancakes came with warm syrup. Service was good, and overall, this was a decent stop, with the biggest problem being the price. With tip my breakfast ended up being almost $30 and that's high even for this area. Would I return here? Possibly.
Breakfast was just ok this visit . I felt like it was a waste of money. The pancakes were dry and almost seemed like they came out of the freezer and went into the toaster over. The fruit was fresh and sweet but the only thing that was good to me were the eggs and bacon. The bacon was the star of the show. It had a maple sweetness to it and it was cooked to perfection. My potatoes were sorta dry-and overloaded with green onions. My waiter was pretty nice and attentive, she kept my water refills coming so I didn't want to give her a hard time. I don't know if it was a bad morning, or if this is the norm for them but I don't know if I'll be back anytime soon. But give them a shot, might be your lucky day.
I came to visit the national harbor, and my family decided to stop by Silver Diner for a quick bite. The service was very nice, friendly and quick. They were able to accommodate my entire family (10 of us) into one table. The ambiance was very nice, mellow and cozy. As for the food, it was very delicious. My entire family enjoyed what they had. Our waiter was very kind! I had the tuna melt, and it was delicious! The toast itself was very warm and toasty. I also had some of my mom's açaí bowl and it was so yummy. Overall, everything was great, from the food down to the service! Definitely recommend if you're in the area.
They got it right!!! We were seated in what I call the VIP section. There's a few tables in the back by the bar which I thought might be a different place at first but I was happy to sit there. What they got right, almost everything but especially the volume on the music. The volume is the best I've ever heard anywhere anytime in life (at an establishment). And it may have just been me but the playlist was personal. I wasn't in my feelings or anything like that but it was my kind of music. Definitely had a Gen X vibe going. There are few things that have yet to miss at SD. 1. Mimosa & 2. Iced Tea. Both of these are always on point and I thank you for your consistency. What is a hit or miss is the chicken sausage. Often it's dry, mostly bc there's less fat in chicken but it is never bad. The food overall was good so there was no complaint there. The only complaint I have is how long it took to get service once seated. I can't really complain about how long it took to get a seat because it is the holidays and people gotta eat and there aren't a lot of full breakfast places here so I expected the wait to be seated. I didn't expect the wait for service to be as long as the wait to be seated. In their defense, there were only two people working the whole bar area. That's the bar which was packed and the restaurant part of the bar area. All-in-all it was a good experience and I will be back so...
Another visit to Silver Diner, and another fantastic experience. As usual, this location at National Harbor was hopping, but after only a short wait, we got a booth and dug into the menu. We got the chicken pot pie, a kind of deconstructed dish with the potted chicken served like a stew with two large halves of flaky pie crust on top. We also got the steak and eggs, and the avocado toast with eggs. And we finished it off with my favorite dessert - the World's Smallest Sundae. Good food and good fun, as usual. Silver Diner is my go-to spot at National Harbor, and it should be yours, too!
After checking out of the hotel Sunday morning, we had a late breakfast at Silver Diner. There was about a 45 minute wait for 2 for inside seating. We were seated in about 35 minutes! Once we were seated it took a little bit for someone to come to our table with water and ask for our drinks, so we made sure we knew everything we wanted to ask for at one time. We ordered our meals and they came out in a decent amount of time for how crowded it was. We both enjoyed our meals. I loved that they had healthy options. Silver Diner is spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating, lots of tables and booths. They even have an area with seating near the kitchen, kind of set up like a bar. The service was pretty good and they did great getting us in and out despite how crowded it was.
We came for lunch, but the menu featured all-day breakfast options. The drinks and homemade soda, including the affogato, were spot on. The burrata appetizer was amazing, and the burrata sandwich received rave reviews. I ordered the crab sandwich with lobster dipping sauce. The fries were seasoned with Old Bay, and the coleslaw had corn in it. We were so full! We're already planning our next visit! read more

The service at the silver diner was good. Unfortunately the tuna melt sandwich made my stomach upset, and I went to the bathroom to throw it up. However, my little sister enjoyed her steak and fries. 12/15/24 This new restaurant...(at least to us)... has picked a fantastic location near the water front of National Harbor. I even saw a new area built for special ceremonies to honor our fellow soldiers. On this occasion, Silver Dinner was extremely busy. The wait time wasn't very long, but if one is extremely hungry, then the wait time can seem to take forever. While waiting for the next available table for us, my wife and I checked out the menu to see what we wanted to order. This would save time once we were seated and our server appears. This Silver Dinner has a Bar Silver?! This is new to me, but upon stepping into the bar, (:Hell Yeah:) people of all walks of life were sitting around drinking their drinks and eating their food orders from Silver Dinner. The idea of eating in the bar area did cross my mind for a bit. The down side to the bar area is that the music is to LOUD! Will Smith's Shake The Room is bad enough, but to hear it at the level the music was playing is agonizing...or should I say excruciating? The people in the bar didn't seem to mind. Maybe because they didn't hear that song repeated on a daily basis back in the day. I can't say the music is always blaring, but it was on this day when my wife and I were there. The Baltimore Ravens vs New York Giant is playing my team. The Baltimore Ravens are ahead in points. It got me thinking about The Commander's and Ravens playing in the Superbowl this year. Ahhh!, won't that be nice. *As I now know, my team failed again to make it past Divisional Round of the playoffs by shooting themselves in the foot. Que Sera Sera is not making me feel any better about this series of unfortunate events year after year. Ms. Asmira, our server, went beyond the normal service when she personally made a coffee the way my wife was hoping to aquire. My wife ordered coffee and Ms. Asmira added a peppermint flavor to the coffee to give it a green look. I ordered The Oat Milk Blueberry Pancakes with a side of carmel. It normally comes with 40 grams of protein! Blueberries, pistachios, almond coconut whipped cream, powdered sugar, agave. I asked for the whip cream to be put on the side instead of on the pancakes. My wife ordered red potatoes, French Toast with eggs and two muffins. Ms. Asmira was very busy, but she did check back with us from time to time. Granted this day was on a Sunday and many folks had come from church to wine, dine and have a great time. Speaking of great time, the food was sensational. The ambience too. We shall come back here. We'll bring some friends too. I think we will be back here in May. read more

My wife is a pescatarian and we had the Thai cauliflower quinoa pasta. It was delish. I think there was butternut squash, which I really loved. The noodles were kind of sweet, but not overly. I'm glad Silver Diner had this choice as it really made our night after walking in the cold. read more

After a long conference day at Podcast Movement, my husband and I enjoyed a relaxing dinner at Silver Diner and a spin on the Capital Wheel. It was like a workweek date night thing, where we left the confines of our hotel digs and went out (but were still in bed by 10pm lol). My husband is vegetarian and tries to eat healthy, so the Silver Diner menu offered a variety of options for him. That night, I also went vegetarian so we could share and get a sampling of more dishes. The ingredients are fresh - the restaurant abides by the farm-to-table ethos and local sourcing. Nice weekend brunch here. I arrived at peak brunch time and didn't have to wait, which was nice. The space is huge and they have tons of indoor and outdoor seating. I sat at the bar and it was cool to watch everyone move like a well oiled machine, the food was coming out really quickly and everyone was working efficiently both for to go orders and also to bring food out to folks so nothing was getting cold. I tried the burrata shakshuka, one of their specials. They were really flexible about substitutions and it didn't take that long to come out. Overall, it was pretty good. The burrata portion was on the smaller side, and the tomato sauce lacked some depth of flavor - it mostly tasted sweeter than I would have expected - but I'm still glad that I tried it. I know this is a local chain, and the menu has a lot of other options that sounded pretty good, so I would probably try a silver diner again. read more

The location and ambiance was great! Right down at the harbor and attached to the parking facility. The service was decent. The drinks were strong! They have a great happy hour. There's a late HH for drinks. The food was okay. The chicken was unpleasant- it reminded me of frozen cutlets- the skin just peeled off. The waffles were good. One last thing to note - we sat indoors but there was a fly that kept bothering us. I know there's not a lot to do about that but it was annoying tbh. read more

Such a convenient location, right across the street from our hotel. We were seated right away, which was surprising because it looked packed. The waiter was nice. Coffee was amazing. My son enjoyed the French toast. I ordered the shrimp and grits. Was a little spicy but not bad. The grits were a little bland but the sauce makes up for it. Looked beautiful. My boyfriend had the Belgian waffles, according to him they were the best he has ever had. This place is packed! Came in with coworkers for a team lunch, we did experience some wait, and ended up on the patio, which would have been my preference would it not have been such a hot day! So reservation strongly advised! And the food you might ask? Very good! Most of us ordered steak & eggs, mine medium rare with sunny side up eggs, and it was on point! The potatoes not all that, but that was ok. I tried their Mint Guava Ginger ale, very refreshing in this heat. This place was very clean and had a great atmosphere! There was plenty of seating which also included an outdoor patio section. We were immediately met at the door and escorted to a table. The menu had plenty of options to choose from which was very nice! My wife had a Philly Steak Omelette and I had the Organic Bison Huevos Rancheros. The food was literally amazing 10/10. Well proportioned and amazing taste! The service wasn't terrible but wasn't the best. It took quite sometime for our waters to get refilled. It also took 30 minutes for us to get our check after eating. We had already finished eating and were not drinking coffee. The restaurant was not busy so I am not sure what the hold up was. read more

I loved the layout of the restaurant when I walked in. I was flying solo, so I head straight to the bar seating area. Getting a server took a bit but the one I got was nice a courteous. The food was good and there is a huge selection. I'll reccomend this spot for people that visit National Harbor but I will advise them to come a bit early. Brunch time is busy busy busy. read more

It was nice and you get a lot of food for the money. My only issue was pancakes on the same plate as the rest of the food. I had so many needs of items I needed but few time to ask for errthing. By the time my server came back for me to ask for a separate plate, I had already may space on my plate. Other than that I would definitely return and share it with a friend. I wanted to return for happy hour, I enjoy the atmosphere in the bar area but it's National Harbor and MGM with to much to do. read more

Stopped by after the eclipse for a snack. There wasn't anyone at the front but we saw the bar at the back and decided to sit there instead of a booth. I think our server/bartender name was Imani and she was very attentive. I asked for a spicy Margarita and even though it wasn't on the cocktail list she was able to make one for me. It was sooooo good! We ordered the chicken and angus sliders along with cheese fries from the HH manu. Everything was good but the fries looked like they sat in the window for too long before it was brought out. My favorite was the angus burgers that came with the tastiest caramelizad onions on the side. I can see Silver Diner being a regular weekday spot. read more

Date of Visit: December 12, 2024 11:32am - 1:30pm Food was fine. Silverware and glasses where not the cleanliest (ask for plastic) They don't validate parking so get ready to pay that. My issue is today Friday December 2024 between 1132am - 100pm. I order from the 11-4 Mon-Fri Lunch Happy Hour Meal. After me and my table departed I get home and realized I was not charged for what I ordered and was told. I get home and realize was charged incorrect for what I order and was told differently. I ordered the salmon off the lunch happy hour meal which was $13.99 with a side. That is not what I was billed nor did I receive a full salmon meal. Please correct this issue. __________________________________ Received e-Mail from someone who does not seem to be the manager of the location with poor attitude, poor customer service and blatant disregard to the issue. If you wanna comfort food option for breakfast, this is the place. I got my food to go to make my experience easy and it was simple to do online and pick up. I was able to avoid the long lines to be seated. Overall, the interior has an old-school dining vibe and is pretty big but also gets quite packed. It is a good spot to sit in for a meal but dining to go is also very great. The pancakes, bacon, sausage, and everything was great and it was quite classic. The pancakes were great and buttery and quite delicious. I could definitely see myself going back here again for a classic breakfast. read more
