I met some dear friends here on a Sunday afternoon. The diner was buzzing, and well organized, and very clean. Our Waite staff was quite friendly though a bit over text with a disgruntled customer at a different table. Sadly, this distraction caused quite a delay in our ordering. Once we ordered our food arrived fairly quickly. The food was fantastic! Each of us was quite delighted with our food and we definitely go back there again one day. Detailed attention to farms/sourcing, delicious food, bright and friendly atmosphere, and lots of selection & space to keep groups happy. 12/15/24 This new restaurant...(at least to us)... has picked a fantastic location near the water front of National Harbor. I even saw a new area built for special ceremonies to honor our fellow soldiers. On this occasion, Silver Dinner was extremely busy. The wait time wasn't very long, but if one is extremely hungry, then the wait time can seem to take forever. While waiting for the next available table for us, my wife and I checked out the menu to see what we wanted to order. This would save time once we were seated and our server appears. This Silver Dinner has a Bar Silver?! This is new to me, but upon stepping into the bar, (:Hell Yeah:) people of all walks of life were sitting around drinking their drinks and eating their food orders from Silver Dinner. The idea of eating in the bar area did cross my mind for a bit. The down side to the bar area is that the music is to LOUD! Will Smith's Shake The Room is bad enough, but to hear it at the level the music was playing is agonizing...or should I say excruciating? The people in the bar didn't seem to mind. Maybe because they didn't hear that song repeated on a daily basis back in the day. I can't say the music is always blaring, but it was on this day when my wife and I were there. The Baltimore Ravens vs New York Giant is playing my team. The Baltimore Ravens are ahead in points. It got me thinking about The Commander's and Ravens playing in the Superbowl this year. Ahhh!, won't that be nice. *As I now know, my team failed again to make it past Divisional Round of the playoffs by shooting themselves in the foot. Ms. Asmira, our server, went beyond the normal service when she personally made a coffee the way my wife was hoping to aquire. My wife ordered coffee and Ms. Asmira added a peppermint flavor to the coffee to give it a green look. I ordered The Oat Milk Blueberry Pancakes with a side of carmel. It normally comes with 40 grams of protein! Blueberries, pistachios, almond coconut whipped cream, powdered sugar, agave. I asked for the whip cream to be put on the side instead of on the pancakes. My wife ordered red potatoes, French Toast with eggs and two muffins. Ms. Asmira was very busy, but she did check back with us from time to time. Granted this day was on a Sunday and many folks had come from church to wine, dine and have a great time. Speaking of great time, the food was sensational. The ambience too. We shall come back here. However, the service was extremely slow and they forgot several side items we asked for. Also, if you you're going to go the organic high quality route don't have Sucralose and aspartame packets on the table. Pure poison. The ambience is laid back with a casual diner feel. What a hidden surprise! I have to say this isn't much like any diner I've ever been to, it's more upscale than they're giving themselves credit for with their name. My husband and I stopped in here for dinner, he had the Tuna poke bowl and I had the Alaskan Cod; Both of our meals were superb! Nice weekend brunch here. I arrived at peak brunch time and didn't have to wait, which was nice. The space is huge and they have tons of indoor and outdoor seating. I sat at the bar and it was cool to watch everyone move like a well oiled machine, the food was coming out really quickly and everyone was working efficiently both for to go orders and also to bring food out to folks so nothing was getting cold. I tried the burrata shakshuka, one of their specials. They were really flexible about substitutions and it didn't take that long to come out. Overall, it was pretty good. The burrata portion was on the smaller side, and the tomato sauce lacked some depth of flavor - it mostly tasted sweeter than I would have expected - but I'm still glad that I tried it. I know this is a local chain, and the menu has a lot of other options that sounded pretty good, so I would probably try a silver diner again. read more

The location and ambiance was great! Right down at the harbor and attached to the parking facility. The service was decent. The drinks were strong! They have a great happy hour. There's a late HH for drinks. The food was okay. The chicken was unpleasant- it reminded me of frozen cutlets- the skin just peeled off. The waffles were good. One last thing to note - we sat indoors but there was a fly that kept bothering us. I know there's not a lot to do about that but it was annoying tbh. read more

My boyfriend had the Belgian waffles, according to him they were the best he has ever had. So reservation strongly advised! And the food you might ask? Very good! Most of us ordered steak & eggs, mine medium rare with sunny side up eggs, and it was on point! The potatoes not all that, but that was ok. I tried their Mint Guava Ginger ale, very refreshing in this heat. This place was very clean and had a great atmosphere! There was plenty of seating which also included an outdoor patio section. We were immediately met at the door and escorted to a table. The menu had plenty of options to choose from which was very nice! My wife had a Philly Steak Omelette and I had the Organic Bison Huevos Rancheros. The food was literally amazing 10/10. Well proportioned and amazing taste! The service wasn't terrible but wasn't the best. It took quite sometime for our waters to get refilled. It also took 30 minutes for us to get our check after eating. We had already finished eating and were not drinking coffee. Stopped by after the eclipse for a snack. There wasn't anyone at the front but we saw the bar at the back and decided to sit there instead of a booth. I think our server/bartender name was Imani and she was very attentive. I asked for a spicy Margarita and even though it wasn't on the cocktail list she was able to make one for me. It was sooooo good! We ordered the chicken and angus sliders along with cheese fries from the HH manu. Everything was good but the fries looked like they sat in the window for too long before it was brought out. After me and my table departed I get home and realized I was not charged for what I ordered and was told. I get home and realize was charged incorrect for what I order and was told differently. I ordered the salmon off the lunch happy hour meal which was $13.99 with a side. That is not what I was billed nor did I receive a full salmon meal. If you wanna comfort food option for breakfast, this is the place. I got my food to go to make my experience easy and it was simple to do online and pick up. I was able to avoid the long lines to be seated. Overall, the interior has an old-school dining vibe and is pretty big but also gets quite packed. It is a good spot to sit in for a meal but dining to go is also very great. The pancakes, bacon, sausage, and everything was great and it was quite classic.
