Great service while out with friends. We enjoyed grilled salmon cook to perfection and a steak. Came with crispy snap peas carrots and mashed potatoes. Nice ambiance quiet & intimate.

Ordered takeout. The calamari were great, 2 large pieces included amongst the normal sized ones. Fresh, tasted like made in house. Thats about all I can recommend of what I tried. Mac and cheese had good creamy texture but was bland. The prime burger was dry, and the fries were not good- they were single fried and not twice fried making them greasy and limp. For $27 burger and fry I expect better. Especially for a steakhouse burger.

The atmosphere was beautiful and dimly lit. The drinks were delicious and well-made our server Ron had great side table service and was kind and quick.

The ambiance of Silver Fox Steakhouse has a low lighting atmosphere and white tablecloths so perfect for a nice date night. They had individual lights at each table so don't worry you will be able to see what you are eating! We started with a wedge salad and two dirty martinis. Both were a great start to our meal. My husband went with the Ribeye Cap cooked medium rare. It was cooked perfect and had great flavor. We both had the Maker's Mark® Roasted Mushrooms with our meal which were delicious and we'd highly recommend! I went with the Honey Glazed Atlantic Salmon. The molasses bourbon butter sauce was flavorful, and unfortunately the fish was overcooked.

First off, this has become a yearly event. The food as always was delicious. Our waiter Ian was awesome. Very personable. Ian helped make the evening memorable. One of the best waiters I've had in a long time.

8oz Filet mignon with mash potatoes, Brussels sprouts and mushrooms.

Our first time here. The service was phenomenal! Matt was our server and he was very attentive, and so were the rest of the staff. Our cocktails and starters were just right. Let's talk steaks and pork chops were cooked to perfection and went well with the sides. We ordered the filet mignon, baseball cut Oscar style, pork chop and del Monaco with the truffle butter. I think those were the names. Sides were spinach, Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, creamed corn. Appetizers were onion rings and calamari. We had a strawberry margarita, raspberry smash, love potion. A memorable celebration at a great establishment with an ambience to match. We will certainly comeback!

Betty waited on our table. She had such good energy and was super knowledgeable about the menu. I'd like to come back and request her specifically. My husband had the smoked shrimp and grits and I had the smoked fried chicken with lemon mashed potatoes and street corn. Both were excellent! I'm not in this area of Dallas often, but I will make it a point to come back. I forgot to mention my cocktail! I had the Honey Bourbon Limoncello and boy was it good. The only two things I remembered from this place was that the food was salty, my husband also commented that on his food--and he likes salt! Second, with my daughter and her many food allergies, we decided to go with plain chicken wings. They mentioned the seasoning was just salt and pepper. My daughter mentioned it being spicy so I tasted it and yes there was seasoning other than salt and pepper. I was very annoyed because she's allergic to gluten and some seasonings contain gluten. I notified the waiter and assumed we were getting a new order. BIG NOPE! What they did was RINSE the chicken and reheated it. How do I know this? Prior to sending it back, I cut a flat of the chicken wings in half for my daughter. When we got the "new" wings, the cut up flat was still on the plate. I was so shocked. Never seen that in a restaurant. At this point, we were all pretty much done with our meals and a storm was brewing so we just wanted to get out of there. I will not come back.

The atmosphere is exactly what you hope for in a hidden gem: an intimate, six-table setting with thoughtful, beautiful décor that makes the entire experience feel intentional from start to finish. We chose the Dinner for Two, and it was the perfect way to experience the menu. My husband and I started with a generously portioned lump crab cake, followed by a perfectly charred Caesar salad. Then came the main event, a 24oz Delmonico steak served alongside charred asparagus, broccolini, potatoes, and a squash and zucchini medley. Every single element was exceptional. Truly. Lane has created something special here. Elevated, fine-dining quality food in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It was my first trip to downtown Plano which is a nice quaint strip of bars, restaurants, and shops that reminded me of any of the small one/two stop light towns around my home of NC, even though you're really surrounded by metro Dallas highways and city. The atmosphere, the food, the service, was perfection. I'll do my best to describe, but if I was creating a restaurant, I'd tell you to go here, and that is what I want. The restaurant itself is very nice, certainly upscale enough for a super nice date night, but also casual enough at lunch time for a business casual outfit. The area itself is relatively small and intimate, I'm going to guess 10 or less tables, and a spot for a few people at a small bar. Right beside the bar is the grill where you can see, hear, and smell the food being cooked! The owner was our waiter, and just like the rest, service was plenty formal yet also laid back. He did everything how you'd expect in a fine dining restaurant, but also was comfortable in a baseball cap and laid back fine with having a conversation. He was happy to tell us about the restaurant itself, the interior which he built out himself, and was enthusiastic about what he was serving and told us everything about the meat and sides. It was great seeing someone so proud and excited to tell his costumers about every aspect of it. He alone would make me want to be a regular visitor. But then there is the food! Perfection! All four of us ordered the Wagyu NY Strip, so he just told us he would serve it on a board with plenty of sides to fill us up. We didn't even have to tell him how we wanted the steak cooked, he said everything was cooked to 135 and it came out absolutely perfectly! Quality tasty meat, true wood flavor, it was what I normally have to cook myself at home to get! The sides were great as well, charred broccoli (which I'm a sucker for, marbles potatoes, fries, all wonderful! The menu is not huge, but I think that's perfect. Do what you do well and you don't need a multi page menu full of random dishes. BAR-Ranch knows what they are and they excel at it! It's not cheap, but personally I'd rather have one meal of exceptional quality over multiple cheaper meals that leave me feeling "meh that was fine". Personally I'll be back and can't wait for another opportunity to try it!

Sweet, funny, great at banter, and incredibly attentive. Even when she was busy, she never made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. When she was at our table, we had her full attention, she checked on us the perfect amount, and we never had to ask for anything twice. She was on top of her game! My only complaint was a really awkward interaction at the end. I wanted to ask Staci two simple questions: whether they carried an olive gin I'd had in Europe (they didn't, but I haven't found it anywhere) and whether I could buy a roll of quarters because we were going to play pool. Somehow this turned into 5-6 staff members gathering around, plus this random blonde lady in a white T-shirt and jeans joining the conversation. Aside from Staci and the blonde lady, no one else even acknowledged me. They just stood there looking at me. It was weird. It felt like a lot of unnecessary attention over two simple questions and made me pretty uncomfortable. Having another customer involved was honestly the weirdest part. It was disappointing because we'd had such a great experience up until then. I went from thinking, "I need to bring my friends here!" to leaving feeling pretty unwelcome. Food: delicious. Atmosphere: beautiful. Prices: great. Staci: WONDERFUL. I just wish the interaction at the end had matched the rest of the experience.

We're regulars and typically order the same meal, so we know what to expect from the experience. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. Our waitress missed several basic aspects of service. We didn't receive any drink refills, she didn't check back with us after our meals were served to see how everything was, and, most surprisingly, she never even asked if we wanted dessert. It was an early Thursday evening and the restaurant wasn't busy, so it was especially disappointing to receive such inattentive service. I understand that everyone can have an off night, but for a birthday celebration at a restaurant we genuinely enjoy and frequent, we expected a much better experience. I'm hoping this was simply an isolated experience because we truly enjoy this restaurant and would like to continue making it one of our favorite places to dine.
