I moved from a home of 20 plus years to home in the neighboring community.. Before the moving crew arrived I received a call from Caesar Castro who indicated he was the crew lead and that he would promptly be at my residence at 8 AM. Upon prompt arrival I was greeted by Caesar and he stated if I had any questions or concerns as the move was in progress to address them to him. He came with 2 trucks and a 6 man crew. They were very professional and exhibited great customer service skills. As the move began Caesar and his crew began to wrap pack and load the items into the truck. Caesar was very communicable and flexible to change up direction of the move when needed. He had an extensive working knowledge of common hand tools and appliances. Caesar and his crew got the job done in an above satisfactory manner. We did a walk through with Caesar after the move was complete and found Caesar and his crew to be reliable, accountable, efficient and transparent. I was in a bind... we had to be out of our house within days... because this house was part of a trust, the fiduciary sent out his own men to move us. However, not only were we not completely packed, I overlooked a lot of things to go to storage. I called Silver Star. After returning my phone call the gentleman told me that, although they typically couldn't accommodate next-day jobs I was in luck!! Emmy & his partner we're here at 8:00 am on the dot! Of course both were masked & gloved! They worked carefully & efficiently!! Both were awesome guys! Strong as oxes, very patient, AND the best part... they're Tetris GENIUSES! They fit it ALL into a skinny 5'x15'!!!! With room to spare!!! Thankfully because we STILL have more to add! We hired Silver Star Moving and Storage to move furniture from many rooms to other rooms, our garage and PODS while we were having our hardwood floors refinished. A 3person crew (Justin, Javier and Jose) came on time and had all the dollys, plastic wrap and other moving equipment to move our home contents. They took extra care while moving the furniture from storage to the rooms with newly refinished hardwood floors. They took very extra care and no scratches in the flooring was done and the furniture, washer and dryer were professionally wrapped and stored. They will be back to move items from our pods and garage after the wood floors on the upper level are refinished. The office staff were also very helpful (Sabrina and Amy). Originally booked Silver Star movers through Starving Students...I didn't realize it until Silver Star showed up. I actually had a bad experience in a previous move that someone else booked for me that turned out to be unknowingly booked through a third party. But all worked out fine this time, and had a great team of movers under Carlos. Communication was great...I received a phone call in the morning, indicating their arrival time - which was spot on, and that's hard to do with southern CA traffic! They came prepared with both equipment and attitude, and got the job done in just a short amount of time. This was part one of my move, and I will reach back out to Silver Star directly for part two! Emilh and Juan saved the day! I was upgrading from a one bedroom to a two bedroom. We had all our stuff packed in boxes already. These two guys came in and knocked it out. They took apart large furniture pieces, and they padded and wrapped everything before loading up the truck. They were careful with boxes marked "Fragile" and handled my TVs gently. The two movers were absolutely wonderful to work with - they made everything easy. I can't speak to other reviews out there, BUT these guys were very professional. We had heavy office furniture still in boxes that needed to be moved from one location to another. Nelson, Vicente, and Alan showed up on time and were friendly, courteous and very professional. They were also very strong as we had two desks that weighed 360 pounds each and they had to hoist one of those desks and a seven foot tall cabinet to the second floor as well. They got the move done in less time than expected and were extremely nice to work with. They honored the original quote I was given which I thought was quite fair. These guys are amazing! Very attentive to instructions and very careful with my possessions. The estimator/salesperson did not ask enough questions about what l had to move, so we had a few up charges for washer and dryer and fridge. It also took 5 guys way more hours than estimated. They called to review with me the new fees and had me sign a new contract with the new fees included. These guys worked long and hard, started at 9:30 am and still unloading at 8:00 pm. They were VERY responsive over messaging and phone, which is why I chose to hire them. My movers showed up about 2 hours late (traffic), so I recommend padding in some flexibility for your move times. They were very kind, respectful, and did great work! Something to note: even though they may advertise certain deals in writing (hourly quotes, 10% off, no credit card fees, etc.) that doesn't get automatically factored in, so I recommend you double-check on your end.
