Dirty horchata ice latte, cold brew coffee, soy milk latte
    Jessie C.

Hidden coffee shop in the lobby of a hotel. They had plenty of seating and everything is so affordable! I got the dirty horchata ($4.50) ice latte and it was so flavorful and strong. Honestly best latte I've had in a while. My friends also enjoyed their drinks ($3-4). The service was quick and friendly. Would highly recommend for affordable good coffee

Sincerely love this place I go every Saturday and Sunday. The staff are great and they remember their usuals. Also the food is prepared to order their egg sandwich is my favorite breakfast. Great studying or breakfast date spot

They make perfect eggs. A couple of times I just got eggs and a croissant. I was amazed at how perfect the yolks were done. Fast service. Charming ambiance in a historic hotel. A nice way to start the day.

A small classic breakfast cafe, it was very wonderful and the staff were informative and kind. The food was on point very delicious and not very heavy on the stomach. The cafe was quaint and beautiful!

Sandwich was simple, but had a burst of flavor with some delicious garlic aioli! The grits were so creamy, perfectly seasoned, I wanted to eat two helpings but I was so full!! Also a delicious cappuccino and a beautiful little space. It's in a historic hotel in towns and it's absolutely perfect and quaint. The team of staff was very attentive and friendly, I appreciate so much that the manager (I think) came to speak to us directly !! I saw the eggs Benedict all over Yelp and that's what I was looking forward to, he explained some changes; and I found a delicious alternative! Definitely a place to stop by on your way through New Orleans!

The Silver Whistle Café, inside the Pontchartrain Hotel. Convenient location, excellent food.

The Silver Whistle Café, inside the Pontchartrain Hotel. One of my family's favorite breakfast spots. Convenient location, right off St Charles Street, excellent food, excellent service. Being a breakfast spot, there is a limited menu and limited hours, sadly, 7am to 11am. So you need to be a morning person (shudder!) to enjoy their delicious breakfasts. For what the Silver Whistle Café is, Five-Star food and Seven-Star service.

Very cool cafe about 2 blocks from the hotel I stayed at for a short first weekend in NOLA. We had a large group of us and had planned to meet here for breakfast in the morning. The location is right in the Garden District off of Charles Street so I was worried about a long wait, but looks like NOLA Saturday mornings are a little "sleepier" that I had anticipated (that or we just really lucked out). First come, first serve seating. You can also walk up to the counter and order to-go breakfast (quick coffee, etc). It actually worked out perfect since there were about 8 of us and there is a 10-top round table in the front corner... I'm sure it could seat a couple of 2-3 people parties as a communal table, but for our experience, we claimed it as our own. Our server was super nice and took really good care of us. I know larger parties tend to be more difficult, but she made it look easy... even gave us some tips about public transport when she saw us trying to buy day passes on our phones. The menu isn't that big, but you will want to order ALL OF IT. I settled on the Benedict. The other advantage of a larger group, is you can see the other dishes people order... and then start having FOMO. It's all good, I thought my choice was the right one, but it seems like everyone was super happy with the food they received. I highly recommend stopping and hanging out here... even look up at the ceiling! You can tell the building has been here a while.

To go orders. Love the decor and atmosphere.

I was really excited about this spot, great location inside a historic hotel. Breakfast menu is small but sufficient. They also have a variety of coffee offerings include espresso, lattes, etc. My mother and I ate here on a Tuesday morning. It was NOT busy and they had 3 ladies working the front. What rates them 3 stars is the fact that it took them 20+ minutes to make my latte and deliver it to the table. My food ended up coming out before the latte and the chef ended up making it himself. I don't know what the other 2 ladies were doing but they definitely weren't organized. Extremely irritating for something that can be made in less than 2 minutes. Really ruined the experience for me. I recommend the food but bring your own coffee!!

The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!
