I bought my Corvette elsewhere due to a couple of ownership changes. I used to get all my service done at Wm. Morris. I decided to take the car in for a safety recall to check out the new team. Shuttle personnel were friendly and helpful. I was told I would get a free multi-point inspection with report and that never happened. It was getting late in the day so I called to check whether the safety service was complete. I was actually a bit surprised to be told the service was complete, not because it should have taken no more than a couple of hours and five hours had passed, but because no one called. My service advisor was not present when I returned. No MPI summary was provided. This was not a great intro to the service team at SV Chevy. Oh, well. read more

I normally go to Chevy in Valencia for my service since thats where we buy all our cars at anyways. However we moved to Simi in December and I totally lapsed in making my appt for an oil change at Valencia for a Saturday and decided to give the Simi Valley Chevrolet a shot. I called and thankfully they had an appointment. Simple oil change and tire rotation/balance.... Well the oil change was simple, fast and efficient. However the balancing of the tires not so much. They call me up and tell me my car was done (Yay-because I was on a time schedule that day).... fast forward a bit, I'm driving my car 75 on the freeway and the whole thing is vibrating like badly to the point that I turned around and took it back to Chevy and they told me it felt like it was a balance issue but that they didn't have time to get it done that day. Soooo my question is why when you rotated the tires were they not balanced? I have a 2015 Tahoe with rims and tires on it and I'm a woman and its common knowledge even to myself that when you rotate tires especially with rims they have to be balanced. Definitely laziness on their mechanics part. I ended up taking my vehicle back to where I got my wheels and tires put on at and they balanced the vehicle for me. I'd go back for an oil change but after the ordeal it was and the time it took me to go get my tires rebalanced I won't have them do anything else then an oil change. read more

I have a new dealer to goto now. I live in another city near by and have gone to the dealer closet to me. But I haven't been too happy with the service there. The Advisors at this dealer are all very caring and treat you like your family. My Camaro hasn't needed anything other than oil changes yet but it was very fast service and back to me in under 1 hour, I did make an appointment though. I haven't had my oil change here in a long time. What I have found is that it is cheaper than going to a Jiffy Lube or equivalent. I dropped it off and it was done before the time they said, washed at ready to go. I got a coupon in the mail and was able to use that as well. I highly recommend Simi Valley Chevrolet. read more

Update: Months after paying cash for the third car we bought at this place they still are harassing us to go back in with a third party to fix a mix up THEY made with the paper work. Camaron a sales manager call me constantly, now Jay Parks some kind of general manager started harassing my wife. On top of this I still have not received the displayed buyers guide which was at the center of the controversy three months ago. So between all the paperwork with DOT, BBB and FTC, I feel like I'll never get these guys out of my head. The funniest part about this is the HUGE line of B.S. that Jay Parks does with his follow up phone calls after they act like they're doing you a favor by doing their due diligence. His pleas for positive reviews on social media are pitiful. Makes me wonder how many 4 and 5 star reviews on Yelp are from people screwed over then prodded for a positive review. NO Jay. no positive reviews for SVC Your place is and continues to be VERY shady, your employees are incompetent and arrogant. and I wouldn't send my worst enemy to your lot for a car. We had a very easy buying experience with Carolyn the internet sales manager. Great price on a used Mercedes, low key, and no pressure. We got a very fair price for our trade in, and a good loan rate. Marcela the finance person gave us a great price on an extended warranty. My only negative was that by the time we finished buying the car it was night and when we looked at it closely the next day we noticed a few very small cosmetic problems with the interior. Because of the special servicing needs of my 4WD Duramax diesel I have regularly been takin my truck to this dealer for servicing. One month after having it serviced, m 4WD transfer case started to make a loud whine. I took it to AAMCO and when they opened up the case, it only had a couple of ounces of grease in it and was ruined. Since there was no evidence of major leaks, the transfer case obviously was not topped off during servicing. I confronted the service manager about this and he said no dealer checks the grease level of the transfer case or differential. I checked with the GM dealer across the street and they always check the levels. I asked the manager to have the dealership pay the $3000 it cost me to have the transfer case replaced and he refused. When this dealership was locally owned as Morris Chevrolet, I got good service. Now that the owner is a large Nevada corporation, the service stinks and I encourage everyone to go to the GM dealer on First Street. read more

I have never dealt with such an unprofessional, unethical, lying staff . This is the kind of business I recently did with this so called "dealership" I Found a vehicle online, called & made an appointment to go in to see it. Met with salesman Chris Kolfor. We went over numbers and had my cosigner with me as previously agreed. The used car had a huge dent in the back, which Chris agreed it was big & an extra expense, therefore He said that they would either fix the dent, or they would work something out. Halfway through our meeting Chris was falling asleep Because he "had a long night". So Juan, the other salesman or manager would not stop breathing down our necks. He ended up pretty much taking over & handling everything because he was so desperate to make a sale. I don't quite get the reason why they had two people working on this sale, That should have been a sign for me. Juan didn't take care of the dent issue and basically brushed it under the rug, He continued to force every ounce of Lies down our throats. We were in the dealership for a dreadful 7 hours. My cosigners credit was better than mine & with her credit they still kept the APR at 18% & said "because it's a used car the apr is always higher." He even tried to sell me on a new chevy Cruze but we stopped him dead on his tracks. We then dealt with one of the finance guys, Lashawn. he told us that it was his very 1st day at that dealership but he had been working in finance for years. During our contract signing he said that my cosigner should be the primary buyer because it would look better on the application for the bank. So we asked him if her being the primary applicant would make a difference and if so, the APR should be lower because of her better credit, and as I understood, with her credit I would get a better deal. He said it wouldn't change a thing. So my cosigner said no, then leave the application as is. Lashawn turned out to be such a liar as well. We went forward with the contract, trusting that they were the professionals and knew what they were doing. Fast forward to 2 weeks later, I get 2 calls & texts that I need to email my W2s & my most recent paycheck stubs. I thought all that had already been taken care of? A week later I get a missed call from the dealer, No voicemail at all. Then get a call from my cosigner informing me that the dealership called her & told her that they need the car back, that the finance fell through. My cosigner also spoke to Lashawn & asked about the lies he said & he denied & said he didn't recall ever saying anything. So I called & left several messages for Michael McGuire the general manager, to please get in contact with me. He didn't , so the next day I get a call & a text from Krystal, the finance director saying I need to return the car. I let her know that I never dealt with her, and due to the seriousness of the problem that I would like Michael McGuire the general manager to get ahold of me and be involved. She goes on and says that Michael is in the other office, to call her and she would go into his office so he would hear what's going on. Very sketchy & unprofessional. If a so called General manager knows about such a serious issue going on with one of his dealerships wouldn't he be on top of things? And get involved or at least have the courtesy to return a call? So I called her to make arrangements to come in once again and have them fix their major screw up. Due to the distance, and my job, I was able to come in a few days later, on Saturday. Krystal tells me that Michael will not be in on Saturday. Fast forward to Saturday I drive the 80 miles to the dealership & sit down with Krystal, at this point I am irritated, disgusted, & upset with the whole situation & staff. She asks what I want to do, I told her to show me the new offer she is proposing. She says the new deal would be at the 9% APR & would be $69 less a month. I tell her that SHOULD have been the original deal, 3 weeks ago. I asked what is she going to do for me now after this huge mess. I tell her the car now has 2,000 more miles on it, I have checked the Kelly Blue value and is $2000 less than what they're selling it to me for. She goes on and says absolutely nothing they can do, That they are at a loss, So I ask for my deposit back, signed my DMV release documents and walked out. To make my experience worse, the day after I got the call to return the car in the mail I get cookies & a note saying "We hope you are satisfied with your recent purchase!" Are you kidding me? Satisfied? Not one bit, I'm disgusted at the whole situation and the unprofessional and lying staff. I will be taking this up with Michael McGuire & Chevrolet headquarters so they know the unethical staff they have representing them. I was saddened by my experience this morning. I called in at 7am to speak to a man in the service center and he was great! Very accommodating and trying to fix my car issues. I work 7am to 5pm in Glendale and usually go in on Saturday. He informed me the technician I needed would not be in this weekend. I told him I would try to get off work early today and come in. I was able to get time off and I called back and spoke to a woman who basically said she was not sure if there was anything she could do for me since I was coming in at 2pm. She could not guarantee a rental car, or that I could get my oil changed or that I could have the electrical issue fixed. I understand not making promises you cannot keep but how about not being so negative. She had a somewhat defeatist attitude and it really made me not want to go to your dealership. I live closer to the dealership in Northridge but have been a loyal customer here because of the service I had received in the past. I hope this is a fluke and does not happen again or I will have to go elsewhere. read more

We didn't know there was a Chevy dealer in Simi Valley, but we were ready to drive wherever we needed to after the lack of service in Ventura. Just goes to show, bigger isn't always better! The Chevy dealer in Ventura could learn a few things from the little guys in Simi. For starters, the Management team in Simi isn't afraid to speak directly to the customers and even point out key features on the vehicle that are helpful. We were interested in the new Colorado Z71. And every one was excited we were there! The best thing of all, we got exactly what we needed, most of what we wanted, and there was enough pressure to help us make the right choice. Where to begin with how disgusting and horrible this dealership is and the managers that work there. Last month my daughter purchased a used car from this dealership, her first vehicle ever, and two weeks ago she was driving this vehicle near Staples Center when she was pulled over. But not a simple pullover, there were eight cop cars and a helicopter, in total 16 officers, and when she looked in the rearview mirror she noticed they had guns drawn and were yelling at her and her friends to exit the vehicle and get down on the ground. She did as told and they were all handcuffed! 30 minutes later the officers decide to explain to her that the plates with her vehicle are stolen plates and they are questioning her on the vehicle being stolen. After repeatedly telling them she had just purchased the vehicle from a dealership, they pulled the papers from her vehicle and confirmed this. But in the process her and her friends were handcuffed and held at gunpoint for almost an hour, start to finish and the cops confiscated her plates and said she needed to go home and park the vehicle until this was all handled. The next day she called Simi Chevy and told them about her incident and they did not seem to care, apologize or offer any kind of condolences, instead they kept denying this happened and if it did it must be a DMV issue. After asking to speak to the GM they let her speak to the GSM, Krystal White, and all she offered was a rental vehicle of theirs and to reach out to DMV to acquire new plates for her. She even had to stress to them that they needed to pay for this! After a week we still had not heard back about the new plates so I went with my daughter to the dealership to inquire and we were told the GM's were all out to lunch so we spoke to Stephen Giangrande, a sales manager. What a horrible mistake that was! Never have I met a manager who was so cocky, condescending and rude in my life. Every question we had he would respond, "that's not my department" or "I can't handle that". What really disgusted me was when he referred to this horrible thing as a "simple incident" and it was probably her fault for being in a bad area where cops tend to run plates to catch bad people", the whole time with a shit eating grin on his face. Are you frickin kidding me? Blaming my child for an error on their part!! When I asked if it was standard practice to not confirm that plates and vin #'s match the vehicle in its entirety, he had no response, of course. What's worse to me is, I had purchased a new vehicle from them earlier last year and I referred her to this dealership, what a horrible mistake that was! Bottom line is, don't buy from this dealership and if you can, avoid at all costs!! read more

On Simi Valley's Website for new cars it had listed a car at a certain price.Below the listing it said Get Your E-Price Today! Leave name and info which I did. And Simi Valley contacted me. I then found an identical year and model at another dealer for $6,000 less. The sales person at Simi Valley Chevrolet asked me to forward their correspondence showing the price difference which I did as he said he needed that to verify for his manager. Then other dealer even dropped it another thousand dollars wanting my business Simi Valley agent then wanted to see that email to verify which I sent to him. Long story short after couple three days with the online salesman at Simi Valley said we sell our cars as price listed on internet plus taxes and fees. So basically I did all that work and wasted my time to be told to me that the price on internet is what they were going to charge me! Question why did they make me waste my time doing this. And why have the button to push saying Get Your E-Price Today! If it's the same stupid price. If they don't have a different E-Price delete that button!. They just to get your name and number I guess. What a total waste! read more

The sales people do not properly discuss the pricing amongst each other. Ed, one of the sales people, kept informing me that a new silverado would be priced the same as their internet sale of 33k however the sales manager did not take the discount off even though the price was initially quoted at 33k. The sales people will lie about the pricing and then you are told that the sales people are not allowed to discuss pricing or discounts by the sales manager and will give you a completely different number. The Financing dept. will also not discuss the pricing breakdown. They rush you to sign paperwork in an effort to prevent you from reviewing contracts. I recently did buy a new truck from this dealership and the pricing issues were resolved but the false pricing and the trying to force you to buy something without discussion was annoying. In the end the price ended up fair but beware, they will lie to you and make it seem like you're getting a deal. View your contracts before signing as they will fudge with the numbers. Also their vehicles are poorly kept accumulating dust and debris revealing several scratches after the vehicle has been washed, which they agree to fix, but will take a week before you get to enjoy your new vehicle. I am happy with my new truck but what a headache it has been dealing with this dealership.. service department is great, Sales department is terrible.. read more

My son 23 went over to test drive a Cruze he really wanted this past week with his friend, car seemed a good deal- we had researched it ahead online. He was an active buyer- paying in full. The young sales guy that went on test drive was great, zero pressure. After they got back , the sales manager / older sales guy jumped in with major attitude and huge pressure (insulting- was the take away) and my son was not only turned off but offended by how he was treated, we decided after no way would we buy from this dealership. Back to online research- bought a Cruze the next day- paid in full w/ Cashiers check w/ WIN Chevy - long drive to Carson- but WAY worth the drive. More in stock there -got a 2016 LT w/ less then 2k miles full warranty and MUCH appreciation for giving them business. Same EXACT price as their not loaded W/ extras almost 5k miles Cruze at Simi. You don't want a cashiers check for $17,900k - your loss and your fault. He was ready to buy. Customer service (one guy) no good, he ruined the deal. read more

Best car buying experience EVER! Going right in, I knew the type of vehicle and monthly payment I wanted. I knew I would be rolling in negative equity but after being to over 10 different dealers (not exaggerating). I didn't have anything to loose walking in. Immediately upon stepping foot onto the walkway approaching the door with my sister, we were greeted by Chris Mehmen and shortly after by Eric Torres. He asked us what brought us in today which was the Cruze. I mentioned I was highly interested in this car due to it being a GAS SAVER. With gas prices increasing these days, my mindset has been set to saving where I can. My previous vehicle was a Hyundai 3.8 grand touring genesis coupe turbo which ate gas like you wouldn't imagine! I showed him the specific Cruze I wanted which was the 2018 Cruze LS Automatic. He then went to pull up the vehicle for us to view. Before taking it on a spin, he gave us a very DETAILED but not boring tour of the vehicle and it's features. I honestly appreciated it so much because let's face it? Who likes to read an owner manuals now a days! Taking it for a drive, I immediately fell in love. This is coming from someone who is materialistic when it comes to having cars!!!!! So used to a sports car feel which is why I never in a million years would have loved a sedan! Once we returned to the dealership, we decided to talk numbers. Chris and Eric brought us some delicious hot chocolate from Starbucks(total biased statement since I adore Starbucks).Chris brought all the paperwork needed to start the deal. In between writing my info down, we were all just talking about ourselves and it was such a good energy. I mean Chris and Eric make you feel as if you've known them an ETERNITY! Nothing like those dry sales men we are so used to, which makes this experience an even better one than one is used to because you are made to feel comfortable where you aren't intimidated to say what is it that you are exactly looking for yon your next purchase. Once he finished my paperwork, he submitted to his boss and it was an ongoing back and forth situation. Me and my sister were both very adamant on what we wanted so we were kinda tag teaming Chris. SORRY CHRIS! We kept getting closer and closer to our desired amount but in the end we were just a a few dollars shy away from the amount. We thanked Chris and Eric for their help and effort. They provided us with business cards to reach out if anything would change. As we were walking out, we were approached by Leo Matuz. He asked me what type of trim level my vehicle was. He said he had an immediate buyer for my vehicle and he believed he can get me the deal I wanted if we had a few minutes to spare of course. We said yes since we were already here. As we sat down he brought us back better numbers but not exactly what I wanted. We took a few moments to decide whether or not we'd want the deal. He crossed his hands and like a marriage we shook hands and made the deal. We mentioned we did not want to step on anyone's toes since Chris and Eric helped us during our visit. He made certain we wouldn't be.The nice thing was that they all work as a team. There is was no COMPETITION with selling a vehicle since they are all trying to sell for the company rather than themselves. This is something most dealers should take into consideration! Believe me when I say more deals would happen with this work ethic in place. Now back to my experience, Leo brought in Chris and Eric to close the deal which was very generous of him. Little by little Leo started to hand us the owner's manual, key, etc. I wasn't quite sure if I was approved or not but it was something different than the normal congratulations you often hear. Once we finished our paperwork, we went to the finance office where Salvador Ruiz took great care of us. He finalized the deal and sent us on our way to pick up my brand new vehicle. Chris and Eric helped me clean out my old vehicle and took some pictures of me over excited for memories. Chris helped me setup my Onstar and congratulated me on my new vehicle as did Eric. Sorry this was kinda a long review but I was there for more than 4 hours so please bare with me. Will like to close this out by saying, not for one second was their any doubt that I wouldn't get the deal i wanted coming here. The reason why is because my little sister recently purchased a Cruze as well and the deal she was given was the reason I came in. But i never told them this until my deal was made. This just goes to show you that they go to lengths for ANY customer. I cannot thank them enough for making my deal happen and giving me an early xmas gift. I am so appreciative of their hard work, efforts, and time they dedicated to ensuring my experience was a smooth one. I wish I could give it ZERO stars but yelp didn't let me. What a horrible horrible experience it was dealing with Simi Valley Chevy. I called Simi valley Chevy to inquire about leasing a traverse. I got connected to a sales person name Chad, he took all my information and asked me some questions about what am I currently driving and do I have a leased car. He also asked me did I got a quote from another dealership and I told him about my quote from another chevy dealership. After few hours he called me back with the quote better than the quote I had and he keep insisting me to come to the dealership and he may be able to give me a better deal than provided over the phone.After that I had a chat with him about four more time to reconfirm down payment, lease payment, miles and total out of pocked cost and he reconfirmed everything but keep insisting to come to the dealership. I finally took my family to the dealership on Thursday 2/20/2014. He showed us the vehicle and asked us to fill up credit form. Once I asked to show me the final numbers he went to the managers office and after a long 30 so min wait he came back and told us as this car has some additional features and it is not the same trim level, this car will be more expensive. When asked about how much more expensive he said instead of the quoted $169 this car will be around $500 per month. When I asked him to show me the vehicle that he quoted for $169 he said he does not have any. When I asked him which vehicle he used to quote me the numbers he said his boss told him to just give the numbers better than the deal I told him I have and bring me in. By that time I have wasted about 2 hours of my family's time and I insisted I want to see the manager he spoke with. Initially he told me I cannot see the manager but when I insisted he went inside managers office and came back and asked me to wait outside and the manager will come out and see me. I was able to see the manager and few other guys in his office as they were keep looking outside the window to see if I am still there. It was another 30 min wait outside manager's office but no one came out so I decided to went into his office myself. When I went in the manager (I believe his name was Marc) pretended as he didn't even know I was waiting. After me explaining the whole scenario to the manager he said there is no way he can give me this deal and said he will ask Chad why I was told about that deal. He was talking to me so rudely as he is doing me a favor talking to me and I am wasting his precious time. It was the least I have expected from the manager who then started passing sarcastic comments on me. I was told by another guy named Kyle that he have witnessed the whole thing and will let the GM of the company know about the incident and will call me but I never recieved any call ever.The policy of Simi Valley chevy is to bring the customer in not matter if they even have to lie and give them false numbers. My advice is do not trust numbers you get from them over the phone as they do not honor what they say. I was able to get a better deal and a no negotiation experience from Rydell Chevy in Northridge the very next day. There are a lot better dealerships in the area with much more inventory and much more honest people. AVOID SIMI VALLEY CHEVY and SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF HUMILIATION. Updating my review after bringing my car here for some issues. I brought my vehicle in this morning with several issues pertaining to the back up camera, acceleration, the gas light icon, and a few other things. What I got was a service advisor who tried to sell me brakes (mind, this wasn't the mechanic, but service adviser) who tried toconvince me that there were hot spots on my brakes probably due to driving up and down hills. I drive 4 miles to work each day there are no hills. In addition for every complaint I had about my car he was telling me that it was not an issue and trying to talk me out of having it looked at. Lastly I bought my car from this dealership in February 2014 and the service advisor told me he could not give loaner vehicle because no warning lights were going on in my car. He proceeded to tell me that they cannot give me a loaner car unless there were light notifications from the computer. I could see the service advisor was not going to be helpful in anyway, therefore I left without getting any service and prompted to write and update my review on this dealership. I would not bring my car back here I won't purchased another car from this dealership seeing as my car is not even two years old. Terrible service to question a customers complaints and issues. A service adviser she's blonde down the customers complaints have a mechanic check the vehicle at the same time he should provide a complementary loaner vehicle especially if you bought the car from that dealership and the issues are still under warranty. read more

They were great when we were making the sale but once we left and needed some help, they were nearly impossible to get a hold of, avoiding my calls and emails. We had Stephen Giangrande & Jaime Hernandez. They were both super nice when we were there and made car buying a pleasant experience, however, after that, they told us if we needed anything or had any issues to call them and they would be happy to help us. Well we purchased our vehicle at night, didn't noticed the badly tinted back windows,making it extremely difficult to see, was told they'd take care of it and get back to us and haven't heard anything. Since then, I've called him 3 times and emailed both 3 times. Have not heard from them. I'm starting to think they are avoiding us now & were just being nice for the sale. Very disappointing as we really had a good initially experience with them & was planning on making them our "go-to" place when we were in the market for future vehicles. We also started referring friends to them but starting to second guess that. It's been 3 weeks and 3 phone calls & 3 emails later, nothing. At least a response would have been nice. One star only because that is the minimum! Called the dealership and they misrepresented their inventory on the phone. Then I get there the car is nothing like what they said. They assure me they can get me the car I want and ask me to wait. I wait 3 hours with them stringing me along holding onto my drivers license. Their lobby has some kind of air freshener that is overpowering and completely congested my sinuses. The whole reason I came to their dealership in the first place is because they said they could get me a great deal on the Traverse LT I wanted. When we finally sat down with the salesman he wasn't giving me a deal at all. They were higher than three other dealerships I had priced and came back with higher interest rates than anyone else had quoted me. The whole time I sat there I realized how inefficient the whole place was and that I would not trust them to buy a car from them. If you want a dealership that is honest and willing to work with you go to Rydell in Northridge and ask for Mark Van Loo. He is a great guy who will actually get you a good deal. I left Simi Chevy with them promising to follow up the next morning about getting the Traverse I wanted and did not hear back from them for days. Simi Valley Chevrolet service department is by far the worst experience I have ever had! I purchased a Tahoe in October of which that time the CD player was in operable. I was promised this would be fixed at no cost. I have been dealing with Jessica she never calls me back it is now 9 months and I still do not have a working CD player.I call every month and am told she will call me back, no call back.. then they ordered the radio and sent it back because I did not come in..ummm how about you call and notify me and schedule an appointment! One day after purchasing my Tahoe the "service brakes soon" light came on I brought it in they replaced a seal and said that should take care of the problem, well it did not. I called Jessica and am still waiting for an appointment 9 months later with a brake tech. My brakes began to start making noise last week and the entire front end of my truck would shake when on the freeway and stepping on the brake, Jessica states that is normal with a 4WD. So I took in my truck Tuesday to another Chevrolet service department, my rotors in the front were completely rusted as my truck came from North Dakota.According to Connel Chevrolet I should have never been sold a vehicle with rusted rotors! I have children brakes are IMPORTANT! My brake pads that were supposedly new when purchased were down to metal.. According to Ken that is not uncommon. I only put 10K miles on my Tahoe so NO going through pads like that is not normal.I called Ken the service Manager at Simi Chevrolet on Tuesday and told him he basically called me a liar on the phone then promised a call back in regards to the CD player still have not heard from him. My new Rotors and pads cost me $600.00! Also I purchased a bumper to bumper warranty that I pay for monthly so I was told it was bumper to bumper and come to find out it is not. They do not follow through what so ever! Then when you call they treat you rude and like you are an idiot! No wonder the service staff are rude they follow in the shoes of their service manager! They also paid my trade in late causing a mark on my credit, I also had to drive there on 4 different occasions to re sign the contract! ( I live in Orange County so Simi is a drive) Avoid them at all cost unless you enjoy frustration then that's the place to go! read more

These are some shady people that work here. Firstly, I went to the dealership after viewing a car that was advertised online to test drive and more than likely buy in cash if it was in good condition. The test drive went well and then came the part of buying the car. This is where things turned for the not good. I told them that I was paying cash for the car, my offer and that there would be nothing that I would add to that- such as an extra warranty. They said that even though I was paying in cash that they needed my social security number to verify my identity. I said fine, but DO NOT run my credit. (I was in the middle of buying a house). Well guess what of course they ran my credit so they could try and sell me all the other crap which included a warranty that cost more than the car itself. Even while they were trying to sell me this extra garbage I told them that I was not going to buy it and to just stop. The guy just ignored me and kept going on and on and on. So I was finally able to get out of the place paying the original agreed on price without any extras and then when I went to close on my house that is when I found out that they had run my credit. When I called of course they said that it was an accident- B.S.! Luckily it didnt affect the closing on my house but it did lower my credit score because of it being a credit inquiry. The next great thing that has happened is that they still have not sent me the title to the car. I bought this car three months ago now and it still had not arrived. Every time that I have called to find out where it is the person is of course not there. I have left messages with my number and other contact information and nothing. I don't recommend buying anything from these people especially in cash. read more

I was referred to Jae Park by a friend so I figured I would get a great deal and great service. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. I initially came in because our shock mount split in half and since we had been considering a new suburban anyway, I figured I'd see what they could do. They wanted about $4000 for the repair, but they said that dealerships have what is called "good will" where the manufacturer will help pay for some or all of a repair on a vehicle that is out of warranty, but may still be considered a manufacturers defect. Since the cost of the repair was so high, I wanted to see if I could get it fixed somewhere else, so I ask Jae very specifically if I would still receive the good will money if I fixed the shock mount somewhere else and even if I sold the car on my own and he said yes. So, that's what we did. We fixed it and tried selling it to get a little bit more then what we would get on a trade in. In the beginning, Jae had us work with Carolyn to find the new vehicle we wanted and she was great - the only highlight in the whole process. She followed up with us regularly as we were trying to sell the car on our own. Finally after a couple of months, we decided that we would just trade in the old car instead of selling it on our own anymore. Carolyn called us again, we said we wanted to move forward with the deal and I reminder her of the good will credit. She needed to fill out some paperwork to get it and then she informed me that in order to get the good will credit, we had to have it repaired at a Chevy dealership. I told her that Jae specifically told us that we could fix it on our own and now we were being told that doing so disqualified us from getting the good will credit. I spoke with Jae the next day and he couldn't remember the details but he would contact the district manager to see if he could push it through. The deal Jae had previously offered us was invoice price plus the $3000 good will credit, but since we weren't going to get the good will credit, he offered to sell us a car at their "hold back" price (what the dealership really pays for a car). At this point, Jae pawns me off to Steve, who pawns me off to Tom. I spoke with Tom explaining everything that happened and that he would contact me the next day with his best offer. I called around 8pm the next day and Tom was in the middle of a deal so he couldn't answer. I would've thought I would get a call first thing the next morning, but that didn't happen. I called him around 10:30am and left a message and again around 1:30pm and again around 3pm and the receptionist told me Tom would call me in 10 minutes. After another hour waiting for a call back, I called Carolyn to see if she could help since she was so helpful in the past and I didn't know why she was taken off the deal in the first place. I forgot to mention that they didn't have the vehicle we wanted in stock so they would have to do a dealer trade. When I spoke to Tom the first time, he found a car that we probably would like and, in fact, he asked me not to call that dealership because if they thought someone was interested in it, they wouldn't trade it. When I spoke with Carolyn, she mentioned that they usually only do hold back deals on current inventory and that the other dealership (Rydell in Northridge) doesn't do trades on the weekends anyway. Apparently Tom didn't know this. I even tried calling Jae to sort it out since he authorized the hold back deal and he knew we were looking for something specific, but he didn't answer or return my call. Apparently he lives out of state and doesn't care about business on the weekends. Back to Tom, once I didn't hear back from him after 48 hours, again I thought I would here from him first thing the next morning before he got busy. I tried again the third day around 10am and Tom was on a test drive but I left a message to have him call me back. After another 4 or 5 hours, we decided to just go to Rydell Chevy in Northridge since they had a couple cars in their inventory that we would probably like and we are so glad we went there. They had $5000 off because it was memorial day sales and they have a no hassle buying process. Mark at Rydell was very nice and attentive. Since we went later in the afternoon (and we had all three of our kids with us), we decided to finish the deal the next day since they had to wash the car and prepare for financing. I went in the next day and there was going to be a little bit of training on how to use everything. I wasn't able to stay any longer, so he said he would come to our house after work to do the training. And he did. I can't get anyone from the Simi dealership to even return a phone call and I got a house call from Rydell. It's been a week since we bought the car and we still have not heard back from Simi. If your are looking to buy a new car, it's worth the extra 10-15 minutes to drive to Rydell. read more
