Very reasonably priced an entire crew came out removed my vapor barrier rolled it up with dead rats poop pee and all stuffed it in sacks haul it out and made zero mess then they reinstalled a new vapor barrier and sealed it extremely well. Then they they sealed all of the entrances the rodents were entering the crawl space through and then they came out repeatedly to recheck traps for additional rodents. There was a lot of cat damage under the house so they were concerned about trapping a cat and kittens or the possibility of poisoning them. So everything was organically handled fortunately we never had any cats caught :-). Fantastic company! I'm purchasing a second house and definitely will be using them again. read more

These guys are great. Simmons and Crowe was the only wildlife removal service that answered their phone when we discovered we had what sounded like a squirel in our antic. They came out right away and inspected our attic and confirmed our suspicions. They followed protocol and placed a trap in our attic. They come back twice now to inspect the attic and will return until they've trapped it. On the third visit they installed a one way door in an area on our house where a squirrel could enter and exit. IF I COULD GIVE A 0 STAR, I WOULD! We paid the full amount. The money was given, check cashed and the staff are late, IF they show at all! We should not have paid the full amount that was a big mistake and we are very aware. The job started MONTHS ago and we have to repeatedly call them to remind them to finish. Plumbing was done prior to this work and still we waited patiently. We recently had an appt and cancelled OTHER appointments to make time for these guys and then they NO called and NO showed! We called them and the phone rang off the hook! Then we got ahold of someone and yup, no word since. I'm so done with this business. This endeavor has been a continual headache and now we will be looking for another pest control agency to finish the job they started and never completed!! I paid $850 up front for removal of birds in our attic and securing vents - did not come back to do job I requested a refund and Earl the owner kept replying check is in the mail for 4 months. Reported to the BBB and they did not get a response either. My only recourse is to tell others and to now try small claims court. read more

I believed I had a dead rodent issue so I made a few calls. They returned my call immediately (when others didn't) and that, to someone who is panicky from having a foul smell permeating their dwelling, is incredibly important. The gentleman who showed up knew what it was right away (rat urine, not dead) and the proper course of action to eliminate the pests and deodorize in and under my house. They're contracted for a years' service. They are EXTREMELY friendly and knowledgable, and able. When the contact ends I'm unsure if I'll renew (I'm kinda poor) but if I ever have any other issues regarding pests, they'll be my FIRST call. HIGHLY recommended. read more

The worst. Paid them over a grand to inspect and remove rodents from chimney. They told us there weren't any rodents, they capped the chimney. terrible smell and a million flies in our house later, we called them twice to come out and take a look. Never called back. The cost was $750 for "guaranteed pest exclusion". My roof and exterior of the house was examined. Besides my squirrel problems I needed to have screening added in areas damaged by birds. He caught one squirrel the first week and used expanding foam to seal the gap between my upper and lower roof. At my request he sat another trap close to the original location. I asked when he was going to do the bird exclusion but was told the wire was on back order. To shorten the long story, squirrel's now enter my attic from the rear of the house. My birds have done additional damage. His foam cure has been knocked out by the squirrels. He ignores my calls, emails and texts. read more

If I could put zero stars I would. I had a mole in my backyard that was ruining my flowers and grass, and due to the tunnels it made my bedroom patio is now at a slant. I signed for this companies services, it was Earl that had came to give me a quote. He charged me $650 to get rid of the mole and to make sure none came back for a year. He informed me that if any new mounds were made to call him and he would come out and put more bait/poison in them. Everytime I would call him he sent someone else and the more bait he put down the more tunnels and mounds the mole would make. After two and a half weeks the mole dug from my backyard to the side of my home and then to the front yard. After informing him that his tactics were not working he said he woupd dig a hole and put a trap in my yard, i said i didnt want my yard dug up and his tactics werent working. Granted some choice words were said and Earl said he was revoking his services and he would fully refund my money. That was in october of 2022, i sent him a letter, email and a few phone calls​. I was told over the phone that a check was being sent but I didn't receive anything. I even had my lawyer send a letter and still I have not received anything from the company. Earl said he would treat me like family, and yeah he totally screwed me over. I have already filed papers in small claims court to get my money back. It's not just the money it's the principle. Left a mess with foam in my front yard. Failed to complete preventive work specified, failed to eliminate pests. The few times they came out, with long gaps in time, I had to chase them, now, no response for three weeks. Notice their emergency number is taken off their voicemail so not just me. Paid them in Feb of 2017, still waiting for contract to be honored. Lots of excuses, little performance. We've used the pest control service before and they did a terrific job. We're going to have a wedding at our home this summer and wanted to be sure we didn't have any hornets around so we scheduled again for their services. They were quick to set up a convenient time for us. They showed up just a little ahead of the schedule, but that wasn't a problem for us. They treated three buildings and collected about a half a grocery bag of wasp nests. Though we thought we just needed one application, we ended up with wasp control through the season - for a very reasonable price. We've always felt the applicators were friendly and knowledgeable. We have had a very disappointing experience with Simmons & Crowe and would highly recommend serious investigation prior to using this exterminator. Simmons & Crowe contracted with us to treat carpenter ants with a chemical called Demand and assured us that their spray was non-toxic and would not hurt plants, animals, or landscaping. The contractor instead admitted to mistakenly spraying Crossbow Herbicide which killed and sickened landscaping around the entire perimeter of our home including our trees. We have been heartsick watching our beautiful landscaping dying. This contractor has already caused thousands of dollars of damage to our landscaping which negatively impacts our property value and neighborhood appearance. The damage has cost us many unnecessary expenses, and a lot of clean-up labor as well. We still have to wait until next season to see the full extent of the herbicide damage. Branches in our trees turned black and we continue to watch leaves shrivel and die on our mature trees. The herbicide may open our trees to infection and according to a certified arborist, it is possible that we will lose all of our trees within the next few years. There is nothing we can do to stop the progression of the herbicide. Our crabapple tree that was so beautiful this past spring was sickened by the herbicide application and we are unable to revive it. We lost our 4' blueberry bush, roses that were so beautiful this past spring, and an extensive list of flowers, shrubs, and vines. After the owner admitted to spraying residual Crossbow Herbicide that was in his tank. It took three weeks to get them to even look at the damage he caused. He has done nothing to help us to date, and he has not responded to our communications. Despite the owner's initial response that he would take care of the problem, we have not received any restoration or compensation to date. Simmons & Crowe is uncooperative about providing us with the name and contact information for their insurance company. We have been visited by an outside insurance adjuster who said he represented Simmons & Crowe's insurance provider, however, he has also been unwilling to provide the insurance company's contact information despite multiple requests. We have had no help of any kind yet to help us to fix this problem. It has been almost three months since Simmons & Crowe damaged our landscaping and they have been unwilling to satisfy our request for refund for breach of contract. We still have an ant problem. We have been very patient and understanding towards the owner of this company, and yet we have not received the same courtesy from him. His unwillingness to help us fix this problem is disconcerting. At this juncture, we are very disappointed and frustrated to have to wait and see what else will die from the irresponsible herbicide application. read more

We had a serious mouse infestation, and these guys came to the rescue. Head honcho Earl and his team inspected the house thoroughly, and recommended a contract to exterminate and keep the house free of mice for 1 year. We agreed. It turned out to be a bigger project than any of us expected, thanks to the many cracks and gaps in our 90 year old house. Every time Earl thought they'd sealed the last hole, the mice re-appeared and it was back to square one. Although the contract was 1 year, Earl kept going for months after without cost to us to be sure he'd gotten every critter. As thorough and professional a job as one could want. We used them for a couple of years. My son and I are anaphylactic to stinging insects so it really is life threatening when we have wasp, hornets, etc. We ripped out ALL our flowering plants after six years to try and help be less attractive to these pests. We were supposed to have a service a couple of weeks ago at 2-2:30. My son was in the front room right by the front door all day, 8-5:00. Allegedly they came early? 9-9:30 I was told by the Mrs. No call or text that they were changing times. This would not have been a problem as both adults were home w cars on the driveway. No knock or doorbell, only left a business card - yes doorbell functions; we tested it the same day. We had specific areas we wished to show Earl but he must have tip toed around the house? I don't know, but when I called to inquire, no answer. Texted and got a 4-screen rant saying the only thing he had done wrong was not call to let us know of the time change and that we didn't care about Earl?. Mrs. chose to end the contract and said she would refund the balance of our annual contract fee. That would be approximately half, at this point. Earl does good work. We have always welcomed him into our home with respect and "hi, how's the family?" kind of conversation. No refund. Draw your own conclusions... read more

One star is generous! We had a wood pecker causing damage to our siding. It made a hole in the attic and got inside! We had used Simmons and Crow, also known as Simmons Pest Control, in the past and did not have any problems and I had even referred them to several people, so I called them to help. The owners' son was supposed to come on a Friday but did not show up. He finally agreed to come on a Sunday and told us he could cover the hole with screen and put up bird spikes but that he could not do it then because he needed to buy the supplies. He told us we needed to pay him right then and he would get the supplies and return the next day. I gave him my credit card but he returned from his truck a few minutes later and told me his card reader was not working and asked for cash or check. He wrote up a service agreement outlining the work so I gave him a check for $250.00. He cashed my check but did not show up to do the work. Each time he was supposed to come he was a no show causing me to loose work waiting for him to come. Finally he showed up but did not have anyone to help hold the latter. My husband helped but he only added a few bird spikes before saying he was not comfortable having us hold the latter. He said he would return the next day with his dad, but of course he never did. I called and was told by his mother that they had to fire him and kick him out of the house because he was on drugs. I asked for a refund and she told me her husband, the owner, would come out and do the work. He never showed up!!! I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I called back and she finally agreed to refund me the money. That was two months ago. I have still not received the refund!! They stole my money and now won't return my calls. I interviewed and received quotes from at least 8 other pest control firms and ultimately choose Simmons and Crowe because they seemed to be the most honest (hard to find in pest control services, I've learned the hard way), fairly priced, and offered the most complete and thorough services to remedy the situation. These guys really delivered on what they promised and went above and beyond on solving my issue, without trying to nickel and dime me for extras. They even offer a warranty on their work, something many other contractors said they could not do given the nature of pest management challenges. read more

We used Angie's List to find Simmons for an ant control treatment. The first appointment was over one week out from the day we called as it's their busiest season. After 5 days of no change/improvement, we called back. They scheduled us another week out for a second treatment. Another 5 days later, that also proved to be ineffective. When I called to express my concerns, they recommended a much more expensive treatment. We declined and are STILL trying to get rid of the ants with Home Depot products. Stay away from this company!!!!! If I could give zero stars, I would! They don't give anything in writing till the last minute, sell you service you might not actually need and when you try to cancel or change, they ask you to pay the full amount. If you don't, they harass, threaten you with reporting to police, putting a lien on your house or give the bill to collections. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional and nasty contractor. I hired them to spray for ants and check crawl space / attic. Owner came, didn't even spend 5 minutes, didn't want to go into crawl space. When I questioned him, he was very rude. Even though it was supposed to be yearly service, I didn't want any more services after that fiasco. I called the office and told them I'll pay for one time service and cancel the yearly. That's when the angry phone calls and threats started. And it is the owner himself, Earl doing all this. This company is basically using Angie's list to get good ratings by continuously running specials and not really do anything substantial.
