I had a slab leak about a month ago. I called out a big plumbing company who did a great job capping off the line but they then told me it would be about a month before they could do the repipe on my house and it would take 8 days to repipe the whole house. I went to Yelp looking for a better option and I came across SIMPEX Repipe & Plumbing. Dante came out and asked a lot of questions and walked the whole house with me (while wearing a mask) and drafted a quote on the spot. The pricing was very competitive (much lower than the first quote I received) and his quote included dry wall patch work which the first quote did not include. The clincher was that he said that he would send a whole team and would finish the repipe in just 1 day instead of 8 and 1 day for dry wall. In just one day they repiped the whole house and installed a new Halo 5 filtration system and a new water heater. I was skeptical on the quality of dry wall patching but they did a fantastic job and matched the textures of the existing walls and ceiling perfectly. We had a problem with our old garbage disposal and called Simpex due to its many five star ratings and we were most happy we did. Soon after contacting them a no cost no obligation appointment was set up and Trevor came by. He had a solution that would have kept the old disposal going in the short run for a minimal fee. We felt that due to the age of both the disposal and the pipes around it that it would be best to take care of things while Trevor was there. So a small section of the entry tiles into the house were warm when you stepped on them barefooted. Instantly knew there was a slab leak or something (house is 29 yrs old). Called plumber for consult. He suggested we call a Repipe company. Called 4 repipers. Brian the boss at Simpex gave us the best quote by far! He explained every little detail as to where I understood all that was going to happen and why. Brian also had the most personable & congenial personality of all the guys who came to the house. Day of full house repipe to start at 7am. The team was an hour late but it's ok as it was pouring rain and traffic sucked. Also there were 7 guys on the team...that compensated for the tardiness. Day 1 - The prep alone took almost a couple of hours due to their meticulousness in covering up everything (walls, furniture, etc) from ceiling to floor. Est time of completion was 7pm but to my family's relief the guys were done by 5:30p. Not bad for a 2800 sq ft home. Day 2 - Drywall patch up. To my dismay only 2 guys showed up to patch up the many many holes in the walls and ceilings. I asked the reason why and the lead worker said that most of of the team was at another home up the street who had 5 bathrooms which trumped my 4 bathrooms. Funny today but not then. So needless to say productivity was at a snail's crawl and not much got done that day. So I picked up the phone and told Brian and he promised the entire team would show up at 7am the next morning and be out by 1030a. If you need a re-pipe call "SIMPEX". On July 19 at 2:00 AM we had our 9th pin hole leak. Enough being enough I stayed up for the next four hours researching re-pipe companies. What drew me to Simpex were the excellent reviews and the fact that a guy named Joseph had been responding to reviews for years. This longevity is important to me and that morning I sent the email to Simpex for an estimate. The next morning Dante was at our home explaining the process. I was so impressed with Dante's expertise that I canceled the other two estimates and signed with Simplex. Two days later on a Monday morning Simpex crew arrived on time, Covid prepared, explained the process, and the time frame for completion. Amazing job!! They repiped my house in 1 day! My house is a fair size with 3.5 bathrooms. Day 2 the drywall crew came and patched all the holes and it was done. I haven't painted my kitchen ceiling yet, and you cannot tell there were holes at all. One bathroom had wallpaper and expected I'd need to re-wallpaper, but they were so careful with the holes, you can't tell. I couldn't be happier. The price was more than reasonable. This past month I experienced my first slab leak in my home in Corona. I noticed my water bill was higher than usual.
