Some of the best pho I've had here in California! What I really like about this place is the people and their demeanor. We've been at CHOC medical for our baby for 3 weeks and they've been so good to us, and they don't even know why we come so often! Come here and get the ox tail soup! Came for lunch and ordered the Grilled Pork & Egg Roll with Rice. The eggroll was tasty and perfectly crisp. The pork and fish sauce had good flavor! Seems like they tend to get pretty busy for lunch, but we only waited about 10 minutes. The service is great, they are quick and friendly! Delicious and reasonably priced vietnamese food with a modern twist. They offer a free soda with check in or for the time i went they also offered free thai iced tea with entree order. The pho broth is on point and good size. The filet mignon with fries and egg over rice was really tasty and reminded me of peruvian lomo saltado. It also comes with a small sized bowl of pho broth! This was not a large portion but decent size and one of the pricier items on the menu. If you are in the neighborhood i would definietly recommend a visit. If you need a quick fix, without driving to Little Saigon, this place is it. I wasn't hungry so I ordered the appetizer egg rolls. They were crispy, freshly made (so hot!) and came with the lettuce and fish sauce. I wished they gave 5 lettuce instead of 3... since I had FIVE eggrolls! I could have asked for 2 more leaves I guess. The eggrolls were very filling, that I wasn't that hungry for dinner either. The only bad part of vietnamese places is you never know if they use MSG.. I think the eggrolls have MSG or heavily loaded with salt. I was so parched an hour later. Plenty of places to park but I can see it can be difficult during peak time. 5 stars for their phở. Clear broth that tastes so clean. Briskets were super tender. They do have spring rolls there, but it's not traditional. Rolled with chopped lettuce, vermicelli noodle, a couple of shrimp halves and FRIED ONION, the kind you garnish in certain noodle soups. Texture of the fried onion threw me off and the peanut sauce tasted like plain hoisin sauce. They don't serve soda Chánh, but their simple lemonade was delicious and refreshing. My favorite pho place!!! It's always a good meal when I come here. Came here with my daughter since we were in the area. I ordered a beef pho and she ordered a chicken pho and an order of pork spring rolls. Our meals also came with a free drink I ordered the Thai tea and she got a sprite. Service is always great here and the restaurant is always nice and clean. At the end of your meal they bring you a little surprise which is mung bean tapioca and it the perfect little end to a great meal. So if you are looking for some good pho come here. Came here again because we have tried other pho places and other places don't compare. Their service is MUCH better. They have signs saying they're understaffed completely understandable. Food price has increased a bit but that's literally for all restaurants. Went on a weekend night, got seated, we made our order and the came out quick! The pho soup came out nice and hot! Thai tea is legit and authentic. Food is still fresh and the pho is affordable still. The egg roll is perfect, overall crispy when you bite into it, it's the perfect crunch. Shining a light on this hidden gem! Simply Pho Noodle House is one of my favorite hidden spots in Orange! I've been here over a dozen times and I just keep coming back. The staff are really sweet and they have really great service. If you're ordering for carry out, the have a little bar style nook where you can wait for your food. Every time I've waited, they've brought me water and made sure they got my order right before I left the restaurant. When you dine-in, you get a little yummy dessert at the end of your meal! I have no idea what it's called but it has coconut and tapioca in it & it's really good! 4 stars. Legit good place. Ordered the pho Dac biet with meat balls! Also got the com tam thit cha gio. 1 viet iced coffee too ($4 for the coffee). Both were 4/5 ! Broth for the pho was fresh and clean. Soup wasn't dirty. Just crystal clear with a lot of flavor. I wish it had more meat though to be honest. It's a big bowl, but I need more meat! The rice was good also. Pork was deliciously grilled. Nicely sized tomatoes. Two things though: the rice was too dry. Not sure what happened but yeah, totally too dry. And they didn't give any fish sauce. Everyone knows fish sauce always goes to the grilled pork!! Overall, 4/5 stars. It's better than me driving to Westminster to grab this food. Place is ridic clean. I was surprised. Clean and close to home. Everything is $10 or so, which makes it more expensive than Westminster but at least you save yourself the drive and ridic traffic. I was nauseous from hunger when I arrived and this was an amazing choice. I was greeted promptly when I arrived and immediately sat by a very friendly waiter. He took my order when I was ready, and I got up to wash my hands, and when I came out, all my food was there! The egg rolls were crunchy, umami, and exactly my expectations. The pho was delicious, satisfied my craving, and reasonably priced for a huge serving. I admit the broth could have had some deeper flavor, but it was honestly compensated by the saltiness of it (some may disagree, but the saltiness was a nice craving satisfaction). Quickly fixed with the fresh herbs and a squeeze of lime. The meat was pretty standard for pho, but I especially enjoyed the pieces of tendon. They were so soft and almost gelatinous, and were the perfect flavor vehicle for the broth. They also give you a free warm tapioca dessert at the end which I enjoyed.
