    Seared Shogun (Salad) before
    Darren Y.

I've been here a few times now, and it's quickly become a staple in our family. The portion sizes are awesome--you definitely get a full meal and I'm no small eater. Dressings are seriously so good and make a huge difference. It's hard to pick a favorite because they're all awesome. The restaurant is always clean. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for a fresh, healthy meal that actually fills you up, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try. I'll definitely be back! Pro tip: Order catering for your next family meet up.

I preordered on the app because I was running a few errands in that neighborhood and wanted to get in and out. I also had a small discount of 15% on the app. My order was not ready until about 15 minutes after the requested time. BUT in their defense they were very busy and a staff member had called out. People were waiting for mobile orders and also ordering at the counter. The crew was pretty organized and got it all done. Not easy when there is only one person bagging up and handing out, one at the register and one making the salads!! Crazy! They worked as a good team. My order was prepared perfectly in spite of the rush. It was a pretty basic salad that I ordered but the hard boiled egg tasted good and the bacon was perfectly crispy.

First of all, I love the app! It is so easy to use, my order is always accurate & on time! I love how much salad they pack into the bowl. The ingredients are so fresh and chopped just right so you get almost every ingredient in one bite! This place hits the spot! Parking is a bit tricky yet I always seem to find a spot.

I miss salad places. You know, places where the salad is the focus? Simply Salad is just that. Nice fresh ingredients. Clean eating and a clean environment. Nice service. Decent prices. Easy parking. Your belly will thank you.

Thai It Up (Salad) w/ salmon and Thai peanut dressing

I've tried Simply Salad three times in the last week and I'm officially hooked. I love how easy it is to order online or through their app and my salad is always ready right on time for pickup. So far, I've tried the Thai It Up Salad with salmon (Thai peanut sauce) and the Chinatown Salad with grilled chicken twice (Far East and Asian soy mix). Both came with a generous amount of protein that actually keeps you full. I always get the dressing on the side so I can control how much I use without oversaturating the salad. Everything was super fresh with no wilted or soggy pieces and my favorite part is the added crunch and texture from the crispy wontons. Five stars for my new go to salad spot in Long Beach. I can't wait to go back and eat my way through the menu.

Good: very fresh, tasty and healthy. Even the basic Caesar salad tasted much better than some restaurant I've been too. The buff salad definitely had the buffalo chicken kick to it. service: cashier was very friendly and knowledgeable of the food menu. Ambiance: simple, basic and cute. Doesn't have much places to sit and eat your food though. I believe this place is more of a to go place.

This is my first time coming here and let me tell you... I will be back. Walking in Zumir and Simone greeted me with so much enthusiasm, u had to get something. Devon had the place sparkling. I'm so excited to try my El Jefe salad. These group of young people can sell me anything at this point. 10/10. I'll be back!

    Get Your Greek On (Salad)

After the gym , I originally wanted CAVA but dreaded their super long line and not best service so gave this spot a try. I do not regret coming here instead ! Plenty of parking and inside very spacious with lovely plant paintings on the walls. No wait , so I ordered right away. The staff that took my orders was very friendly and helpful with recommendations . I got the Get your Greek on salad . I couldn't decide if I wanted Mediterranean ranch or balsamic vinaigrette for my dressing and asked the server if I can do half on the side. She was able to accommodate that for me. I was so pleased with my 1st visit I went back in 2 days and ordered the Buff salad (no carrots) The portion size was very generous and filling! Both of the ones I order were very delicious in their own way with completely different tastes. The meats in both flavorful and juicy , if I had to pick a favorite I would pick the Buff since it has a kick of spice from the Buffalo sauce and jalapeno. They toss and mix the salads very well. Greens were fresh and crisp. 100% going back !

Ceaser salad with lemon juice and Cesar dressing
    Zabrina W.

I ordered from delivery on door dash. I opted for the Cesar salad with lemon juice and Cesar dressing. The food was delivered on time and seemed pretty fresh. The salad was large for the price point. Overall it was good but nothing special to me. I would order maybe again but it would not be my first choice. The salad was decent but just average. It's worth giving it a try as everyone has different taste buds but it didn't really give me inspiration to put this place on my rotation. Again I can not comment on service or ambiance because I did not physically go to the restaurant.

    Cesar wrap
    Adrianna V.

I ordered the grilked Chicken Cesar wrap. I did add sunflower seeds. The dressing is so addictive. The croutons I found were a big too large for a wrap. Next time I may sub the croutons for something else but there are so many choices and options. This is definitely a great place to pick up lunch. I like ordering online. You can pick up or eat there. Its near a busy center. This is one of my go to places for lunch.

We've been long time fans of Owl Owl which is where we typically go to get takeout, so I was very excited to try the Second Owl to see if it was comparable to the original owl (spoiler alert!! it was). Our waitress was very sweet but all of the staff were friendly! They were also very accommodating for my mom as she is vegan and gluten free. We ended up splitting a Tom Kha soup and Pad See Ew both with tofu. The food came out hot and fresh and everything was delicious. I love Tom Kha and theirs was on par with some of my other favorite places versions of the dish except theirs rings a bit more on the sour side (this is a good thing). Their Pad See Ew however is unique and in my opinion, one of my favorites as it has this almost smoky flavor that is just so crave-able. Portions are large we got super full! Our waitress must have overheard us talking about birthday because she brought out a complimentary ice cream which was so kind! Onion rings with the housemade ranch is fire too on the side. Had heard some good things about this spot so decided to stop by with the fam for a random dinner. It's a smaller hole-in-the-wall spot but with lots of open space so it doesn't feel too cramped. Parking isn't necessarily the easiest, but I didn't have to wait, just know most of the street parking is paid M-F between 10am-7pm. (1st 15 minutes is free though). This spot was the perfect blend of order/pay first for bomb food. Service was fast even though it was just one person manning both the cashier and service. Jackie was so great and had a great smile and was so nice to even my kids which was a big plus. I loved the food and it's not like typical "Texas BBQ" which I actually liked. The meat didn't feel overly saturated in fat or greasy but was still so tender. Maybe it's because I'm Asian, but "real" Texas BBQ joints or American BBQ spots tend to feel too heavy for me and I don't feel good after eating. This place wasn't different. The brisket could easily be cut with just a fork and that's solid for me. The gochujang pork belly was better than most KBBQ spots I've tried. and dare I say, I think they had the best tasting fries I've had... like it's hard to explain, but the slightest lemon pepper seasoning with the perfect crisp on outside to potato inside was just so on-point. I had to fight my kids over the last couple fries. Make sure to get the spicy and secret BBQ sauces they have in the center along with purple slaw and jalapeño sides. It complements the meat so nicely. Price is very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. All in all, everything is so well seasoned without feeling overly salty with great balance across their dishes. I'll definitely be back.

They had sports playing on the TVs and the interior is pretty small. It's more of a casual vibe good for a chill night out. It kinda feels like a place where you order at the front and get takeout, but they have someone who will wait on your table if you choose to dine in. I came with a vegetarian friend and we had a fun time sampling the different taco meats and rating each. Here is my ranking: 1. Asada - I hate to be basic, but this was good for what it was. It tasted like they might have used mushroom meat, but this takes place as #1 for me because I think it could be a general crowd pleaser for any non-vegetarian. On the contrary, my vegetarian friend did not like it because she found it too dry. 2. Barbacoa - A very, very close second. The only reason it places behind asada is because asada is a classic. Barbacoa has good texture and I could eat a lot of these too. 3. Chorizo - This was the closest to tasting like its actual counterpart. I could eat a bunch of chorizo. Crumbly meat with lots of flavor. 4. Tinga - I'm not as familiar with tinga meat, but the pickled red onion that went with this taco gave it a savory taste. Good to try out but you're not missing out if you choose other flavors. 5. Chicken - Tasted like tofu meat? Not bad - I don't usually pick chicken for taco meat so this might be a personal preference choice. 6. Pastor - Sweet, but did not taste like pastor. Had a little trouble distinguishing between the pastor and the tinga at first, but came to the conclusion the pastor was the one with pineapple on it. I mostly prefer savory meats and while I don't mind the pineapple, the pastor I usually have is not sweet itself. If you like sweet meats, this might be worth getting. 7. Potato - Everybody can skip the potato. It's a fried potato taco, but the potato they use resembles a breakfast hash. The crispiness is nice, but the texture is flaky and the sauce doesn't save it. Even my vegetarian friend was let down by this one even though she had high hopes and usually likes potato tacos. Overall the server told us most of the taco meats were soybean based (not the pastor). I think the chorizo might be falafel, but that's a guess? Ended our meal with the Tres Leches as a dessert. Frosting is buttery and sweet (maybe a little too much frosting) but the cake goes super well with the milk. It sits in a soy milk bath which is a first for me. I wish they had added more soy milk! The menu is huge though. I was very tempted to try other stuff on the menu so I am very open to coming back and trying the breakfast platter (or getting more tacos again, yum).
