I can't give less than one star. I read the other reviews and cancelled. However even though Lowes made the appt they had no record of the appt. I called three times today. Made me wait at home all day for them to come out, showed up after their schedule time, walked in and said they needed to order parts without doing anything to the machine. Came to install parts, said it was fixed and left after starting the washer. 1 hours later i walk down to find that in the process of repairing the washing machine they disconnected the the drain hose, and failed to remember to reconnect it. So here i am with a washer that still going off balance, and I now have a flooded basement to go with it. Of course called SIS but no answer as previous reviewers have mentioned. He showed up in his personal vehicle with a bag of tools that looked like he got them at a garage sale on the way to the job. LG washer was making a thumping noise and was obviously not right . These people have been out to my house several times under a warranty. Initially late December, had to order the part, fixed mid January. Same noise, etc occurred with the next wash, called Lowe's and these people came back out. Told the person who was sitting for me that we needed a new transmission and that it wasn't worth repairing. Called Lowe's and they said I had to wait till they got the repair from these guys. Followed up today and now they could not repair it because it is in a drip pan. No follow up with me because Lowe's should have done it. I would highly recommend that you not use this company -- very unprofessional. read more

Justin called me and said he needed a detailed receipt to prove that I owned the dishwasher. Bizarre but okay I provided all of the information. He told me he would review it and get back to me. I never heard back! You call and the line is either busy or just rings and rings and it hangs up. There is no voicemail. I emailed him back several times and asked is the appointment confirmed? No reply. I called back Home Depot and LG and they said the appointment had been cancelled! Justin has no respect for anyone's time! Do not do business here. Pretty sure this place exists just as a scam. They were assigned to fix our washing machine from a Lowe's extended warranty. Came and said they needed to order a part. Called them back a week or two later, said it was on backorder, eventually we had them come back to install it. Guy said the existing part was "fused" on and couldn't be replaced, and the washer needed to be replaced and Lowe's would call the next day. They didn't so I called Lowe's - turns out the guy wrote on the service ticket he fixed and it worked fine. Then things got weird. Lowe's really wanted to sent them back and start over. I called SIS and they said they couldn't get through to the repair guy to fix the ticket and said wouldn't it be easier to just send someone again - huh? - you were just here! Wouldn't it be easier to fix the GD ticket?! Somehow they kept pressing to start over since the their employee was so hard to reach (what? - the person on your payroll?). I said can you make sure the same comes back with the same parts that took a couple of weeks to get, and he said oh no, we already sent them back. They also told me a repair person can only call in an appliance is needing to be replaced while on site (in my house). I said just tell them you're in my house - you were just here! He said oh no they couldn't lie - such a stand up outfit like this couldn't do something dishonest! Such BS. Stay far, far away. They will not fix your problem, and they will delay and do whatever they can to keep coming back and presumably keep charging Lowe's. We are still in the middle of trying to get our washing machine fixed. I was referred to this horrible company via Samsung directly and they came did a quick assessment for $150 and then said they needed to order a part. We got a voice mail saying they would be here on a specific day to fix the machine but they did not show up and did not call. I have tried multiple times to reach them with no luck. THE WORST!!!!!! I spoke with a jerk by the name of James who works there, lets start by saying he was extremely un-professional. GE set up an appointment for them to come out, first James called and rescheduled the appointment, than the day they were suppose to show up no-one ever came. I had to call back at least 2-3 times a day until I got James back on the phone to tell me my ticket was closed out and couldn't give me a reason, and told me to deal with GE. When I called GE back they stated James entered a "rejected service" ticket back the reason for the ticket being closed. 1. Repair Tech came to my home dressed in his regular clothes. NO ID, NO uniform, NO business card. 2. Repair Tech told me that the part needed to repair my 6 month old refrigerator would be 2-3 days. HE LIED. 3. Spoke with SIS VA customer service person 2 days later who informed me that it takes 3-5 business days for them to receive the part and then they would have to schedule the install. 3. Today the 3rd business day, I called SIS VA again to get an update (NO ONE CALLED/EMAILED ME FOR AN UPDATE SINCE THE DAY THE TECH CAME TO MY HOME) and I was told that the part takes 3-5 business days and that THEY HAVE NO UPDATE/IDEA of when they will receive the part. Zero stars. Don't know how they made Samsung's list of authorized repair shops but their service was just awful. They came twice thinking we were stupid and not turning on a button. They they said bad motor capacitor and would write up a report to Lowe's and Samsung. Samsung said they never received a report from them. Lowe's sent them a 3rd time and was a no show. As other reviewers said, don't call Lowe's or Home Depot for repair. Home Deport hired them to fix my washer 1 1/2 month later and I'm still waiting for my washer to be fixed. I can't-do any washing at all. The tech didn't know what he was doing and he blow the main computer board... When he installed it he said he blow the board again and it was not worth repairing because each board is $500.00-- 2 already coast them=$1000.00 washer only cost me 1300.00 So the next step is the tech said to get a new washer. Well, now since SIS repair didn't deem it unrepairable (so they charge Homedepot for another service/repair charge) They said the had to send out there MASTER TECH to look at it. Now the Master tech came out and was in and out of my house less then 15 min. He checked the electrical socket for power and the electric cord out of the washer (WHY)- This was a complete waste of a visit. 1 more time to bill home depot. So he says that he needs to order an electronic component. I said while your at it order the main board that the prior tech blow. This master tech said he can't because he need to do things in steps, first one this one and then if need he will order the main board. It makes no sense if you know that the main board it bad why wait and have to make another trip. All he said it that he can't. I have been scheduled by GE to SIS VA to repair my gas dryer. SIS VA technician came to my home and after looking through my gas dryer he diagnosed that some part is broken. Technician told me that he needs to order that part from GE and he will get it in 3-5 working days, then he will call me to schedule next appointment to put that part in. It is now over 2 weeks I did not receive any call from SIS VA. I am trying to call SIS VA for almost a week but they are not picking up the call. I left several voice messages but they never replied back. Finally I called GE and report them about bad customer service from SIS VA. To my surprise GE told me that they do not see any part ordered for my gas dryer repair from SIS VA. The SIS VA did not even care to order required part for more than 2 weeks, and don't even have courtesy to reply back to their customers. SIS VA does not deserve even a single star. Office was good about calling to set up appointment for Samsung washer warranty service. Scheduled an appointment for 8am-noon period. Office said I was to be first appointment of morning, and so wouldn't need to get an advance call from the tech. Didn't turn out to be the case, and the tech came at 11:30a. I had to call the office to see where I was on the list (second). I wouldn't have hung around at home had I known. Not a big deal, but not great. The service tech was very good and got the job done promptly and courteously. No complaints. Received a follow-up call the next morning from the SIS office, to see if everrything was OK. Aside from the waiting around for the appointment, everything seemed professional and competent. read more

I first paid $150 for them to come fix a simple LG refrigerator problem...a beeping sound...the technician came out and supposedly fixed it and within hours it was back again - not fixed ! HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!! SIS was referred to us by Lowes to fix our Whirlpool oven. A technician came out and said he needed to order two parts. We paid him $150 for his "service call" and patiently waited a week to hear when the parts came in. Two weeks after our appointment, no word from SIS. I had to call multiple times to finally speak to someone and then I hear the part was on backorder, so they had to cancel the order and go through a different vendor. (Why he didn't bother to call the customer is beyond me.) Then another week goes by and after calling multiple times (again), I'm told a part is on backorder a second time. Again, no call from SIS to inform me I'd be without an oven for much longer. I've formally called Lowes and spoke to a supervisor to formally complain and to stress that they should no longer refer this company to their customers. This company came out to repair my dishwasher through the Lowe's Protection Plan on 2/1/17 because my quiet Bosch dishwasher was running and making a lot of noise. The service man peaked inside the dishwasher and listened to it and told me I needed a new pump. He said he would order the pump and they would call me back early next week to set up a time to install it. I called SIS on 2/7/17 to check on the part and they told me they didn't order the part. The technician wrote down that "I" said the pump wasn't working and the dishwasher was operating too noisy. I also asked for a receipt when the dishwasher was "serviced" and the man told me they don't give out receipts because it is warranty work and it goes through Lowe's. I called Lowe's today and they are going to send out another company. They also said I should have received a receipt for the service call. read more

I have unfortunately had to engage with this company 7 times in the last 3 months in regards to a Samsung washer that is continuously malfunctioning. They are extremely difficult to deal with and there are substantial barriers to communicating with the technicians. They are scheduled through Lowes and are the only repair service that is available in the area. The receptionist, Pascal, is repeatedly rude, condescending and does not remotely have view of a customer's perspective. She read notes from a recent service and said she didn't know what it meant - but that her boss would be able to translate it. I would give this company 0 stars if Yelp allowed that. My problems with them began when I first called Home Depot about an issue with my washing machine. They scheduled my repair window on the following Wed. from 12-5 pm. I had to arrange with my father to stay at my apartment, because I had to work. I left his phone number with the company with instructions that if they tried to reach me and could not, to call him instead. On Wednesday, I missed a call from the technician while I was at work. He left a message with his name and number, but the message was so garbled that I could not understand either. I called the company's main number to confirm that the technician was still coming (since I couldn't tell what he'd said during his message) and they said they would call him to double check and then call me back. I waited over an hour and heard nothing, so I finally called them back to find out what was going on. They said they couldn't reach him, but would try again and call me back soon. I waited even longer without hearing anything, so I called back again. I was informed that the technician had tried to reach me and couldn't, so he canceled my appointment. I was furious, because I had worked to avoid that exact issue by giving them my dad's phone number as well. I asked if they could schedule a make-up appointment on another day sometime after 4pm (since that is the earliest I could get home from work), but they refused to accommodate that, saying it was "not possible." I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that he would call me the next day. When I spoke to the supervisor, he set up a make-up appointment for another day between 12-5 pm, but he promised me that the technician would arrive before 2 pm. I was surprised that he offered this, since I had been told earlier that they could not promise specific times within the time slot, but since he was a supervisor, I figured he probably had the authority to do so. I was very grateful for the appointment and again arranged with my dad to come over since I would be at work. I told my dad to call me at work if the technician hadn't arrived by 2:30 pm. Unsurprisingly, they hadn't arrived by 3, so I called the company to ask about it. They were very nasty to me on the phone and continually said that the window extended until 5 pm, so the technician was not late. When I explained about the supervisor's promise, they said they would call the technician and see what they could do, which I now understood to be code for "there's nothing we're going to do to solve your problem, please hang up now." Eventually, the technician arrived after 4 pm to look at the machine. He figured out the problem, but said he needed to order a part, so he would call in 5-7 business days when it came in to schedule the next appointment. While I was waiting, I received several text messages from my landlady asking why they were calling her (when I had specifically told them not to call her, because she was not living in the apartment). I had to explain the situation to her and apologize for the company's inability to follow simple instructions. When enough time had passed with no word, I called the company back to find the status. They said the part was in, so I asked about scheduling an appointment. I again asked for a 4-5 pm time slot, since it was obvious that the technician could arrive after 4 (since that is what had happened last time), and I was again refused, saying it was "not possible" for their system to handle. I asked why and they said they "did not owe me an explanation." I asked to be escalated to a supervisor and they said no one else was available. I then asked to speak to the owner. They said he was not in the building, so I asked for them to give him my number and ask him to call me back. They said they would, but I NEVER heard from him. I later found out that when the part came in, they had called both my landlady and my dad (NOW they call my dad?!) to schedule the appointment with them. They had purposefully skipped calling my number because they did not want to deal with me. I realize I had been being difficult for them, but that is incredibly unprofessional behavior! I called them back to cancel the appointment because, honestly, I did not trust them and did not want them to be in my apartment without me present. I said I would reschedule after I spoke with the owner (which, like I said earlier, NEVER happened). Two months after my original call, I received an email from Home Depot saying my problem was resolved. That means that, not only did SIS refuse to call me back, they also passed along the word that they had resolved my problem, when, in fact, they hadn't even come close to solving anything! The nerve! I am posting this review because I hope to save others the frustration of dealing with this incredibly incompetent company. Every instance of communication with them was a terrible experience. It broke again within minutes of him leaving. The company refused to have him return the same day, and instead claimed that they needed to come back out another day to do another diagnostic exam. This is one (if not the one) of the most unprofessional companies I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Unfortunately it appears they work with some of the big brands (i.e. Loews, Samsung, etc.) so the only thing you can do is to specifically avoid them and ask for a different service provider. In my case they were supposed to come out to fix my stove. They did come out within 2-3 days following the service call, inspected the stove and said they had to order the spare part. About 2 and a half weeks pass and I didn't hear back from them, so I decided to call them. They said the part is back ordered but that they'll call me when its in. The following week (1 month without a working stove) they called me to setup an appointment between 8-12 the next day. I had to stay home for that day, waiting patiently until 12:30. At this point I was wondering why nobody showed up or contacted me, so I decided to inquire as to when the technician would arrive. SIS VA Inc. told me that they would reach out to the technician and call me. One hours passed and nobody bothered to call me back, and again I was forced to call them. The person at SIS VA Inc. apologized again offering to call me back and contacting the technician, this time I insisted to remain on the phone. He put the technician on speaker phone and I was informed that he had the wrong part. After the lack of communication and making me wait for no reason at home, I decided to complain and take it to Loews. They called the company for me and scheduled yet another appointment, this time for Thursday. I made sure to ask the supervisor at Loews to mention that it should be a fixed appointment. Despite this assurance, SIS VA Inc. called later that day to re-schedule for Wednesday. I still asked the person on the phone is this a guarantee because I will take off from work, and he assured me that it was. Wednesday rolls around, and I get a call at around 10am informing me that there was a misunderstanding with the technician and that he didn't have the correct part and that they would have to order it and nobody will be showing up this week. This begs the question, what exactly was I waiting 3 weeks for? I'm livid, this company is extremely unprofessional! read more

After reading the reviews I was very leery of this company. Lowes set up the initial appointment. The tech called the day before to confirm the appointment and showed up within the window advertised. They don't carry much in the way of parts on the truck, so it was just a diagnostic visit. My Samsung Refrigerator 2.5 years old was making lots of noise - ice around the fan. The tech determined the defrost sensor was bad and ordered the new part from Samsung. The best part of this was I got the techs phone number. He was responsive even when the home office was not. The SIS office called while my wife I and I were at work and said a tech would be there the next day. No coordination, just a statement. I tried to call them back multiple times - no answer, no answering machine. I texted the tech, he contacted SIS and had them call my cell. We coordinated a time and date I could support, the tech showed up and fixed the fridge. He was friendly, competent and knowledgable. Overall, the fridge got fixed and I was impressed with the tech. The home office customer service is unresponsive and unreachable unless you have a number for someone who can directly call the office. So 1 star for the home office 5 stars for the tech. I wish I could it give a 0 or -1 rating. This company's service person for the Potomac, MD area is clueless about the devices he is servicing. I have a GE dryer covered by an extended warranty through Assurant, and the dryer got into this mode where the dryer does not stop when the heat is on and the heat is only on in the Cotton mode; on the other hand the timer works just fine when the heat is off. So they sent this guy out, and he replaced the timer. I keep telling him that the timer is not the problem, the heater coil is the problem (hint: use google), and he says that I am wrong. Then he tells me that this dryer is not supposed to work in Cotton mode or in the Easy Care mode (apparently he never uses it in those modes and thought they were just decorations), and the only mode that should be used is the timed dry mode and says it won't take more than 50 minutes to dry the clothes. This despite the fact that for the past 7 years I have been using the dryer in Easy Care mode. Anyway, I run the dryer in the timed dry mode, and 200 minutes of "drying" later, the clothes are still damp. Bloody moron. I call SIS VA to complain and they say he is the only guy who can work on this machine and they have nobody else for this area for the foreseeable future. Worst part is they took the deductible of $25, and closed the case (I hope that Assurant did not pay them for a job not done), so I now had to go back to Assurant and ask them to send me somebody else (anybody but SIS VA) and pay the $25 deductible again. It is not the money, but the absolute gall of the company to close out a work request that they have totally not completed is absolutely disgusting. I would stay away from this company even if they were the last service company on the planet. read more

SIS was contracted through the Home Depot Protection Plan and dispatched their DC technician Roger. He arrived within the 4 hour window provided and was asked to wait for 30 mins (delay was our fault) while we printed a parking pass for him to which he agreed to via phone. Roger became non responsive when we tried to locate him on arrival and we were unable to reach him for 20 minutes. We had to reach out to the dispatcher to figure out he had abandoned the appointment. They asked if we wanted him back the following day and we declined since we would not use the services of SIS ever again even as a third party. Strongly recommend that you not use their service either. read more

OMG, this is one of the worst companies that I have ever had to deal with. First the lady who answers the phones is very rude and would only provide some yes and no answers. Absolutely no help. Second, their tech showed up with no information on why he is even there. After explaining the problem, he told me that he will keep replacing parts until the problem is solved! Really! The tech was really careless and dragged the dishwasher over our hardwood and damaged the hardwood. He ordered a few parts in first visit but in the second visit he told me that he was probably wrong and the problem is something else. He still has not installed any parts. Well, then the fun starts. He absolutely had no idea how to install the parts that he had ordered. After dragging the dishwasher for more than an hour with help from me, he managed to just screw what he had taken a part without installing any new part. The dishwasher was full of water then he tells me that he needs to open the base and I would have to dry the floor with a towel as there is plenty of water left in the dishwasher. Anyway, at the end he realized that he cannot do anything to suggested to replace the unit. This was part of our GE warranty. Interestingly after calling GE realized that the tech had told GE a totally different story and that the customer did not allow him to do his work. This company is crap and there is no way you can reach them. read more

If I could give them less than one star, they would get it. There is no follow through on the first visit. The company will not answer the telephone. I will never purchase a Samsung stove again. read more
