We were able to get a table on a Friday night - spectacular service, great selection of drinks and good food! Loved the roti canai here - their dipping curry was very flavorful! Their skewers were also freshly made and paired well with their dipping sauces. My husband loved the seafood laksa. The ambience is very pretty and dim lit - perfect for date night!

It hurts my heart to give this spot a 3. Several months ago I had a dinner crew here where we tried several items on the menu, and ALL were fantastic. We have a lot of picky folks and everyone left satisfied. Today I came to try the brunch and everything was just a liiiiiiiittle off. Vietnamese coffee- solid, but you can't really screw up drip with condensed milk. It was a little odd that the waiter came up to explain to me how to do it and then took the little plate immediately after I pulled the filter off so I had nowhere to put my spoon after mixing. Brisket nasi goreng- very salty and the brisket leaned chewy? Not up to Ali's standards at La Barbecue from what know so I'm not sure what happened here, maybe the reheating ruined it? The sauces that came with it were delicious though. Char siu wonton noodles- came with a wonton soup that was very eggy but no flavor. The noodles were very flavorful, yet the pork had nothing going for it. Looking at the menu, I was happy to see longsilog, my childhood comfort meal yet confused at the "Filipino style" vegetarian adobo.. If I'm ordering adobo anywhere, it's DEFINITELY not veg. It's a cute spot, with a bit of gimmicky decor (versus a nice nod/ode to south eastern culture).

Decent food though a little overpriced in my opinion, slow service, just not a lot going for this place even tho I'm rooting for it

The interior is pretty, the flavors are unique, and the dishes are very high quality. *Elevated* Southeast Asian food. I was so happy to see classic Malaysian dishes like roti and laksa from my homeland, and Kare Kare from the Phillipines. Though - It is EXPENSIVE. We split the roti appetizer ($12) and the Rice Noodle Dish ($38) that also had duck confit, shrimp, and Chinese Sausage. We also had a couple drinks ($17-18) which had interesting Asian flavors. We sat outside since it's all that they had left. The staff were super nice :)

As a Southeast Asian, I had been wanting to dine here. We finally got a reservation, made 3 weeks ahead. My husband is gluten sensitive and their menu (on the website) didn't have gluten markings. But they assured us there were plenty gluten free dishes. Sure enough, there were plenty. In summary: the food was really good. The place was filled with energetic buzz. The decor was elegant with a touch of Southeast Asian flare: chairs with rattan back, black and white picture of ladies in a house, pictures of old alleys. We ordered: Arrak & Aura for me, Citrus Salad, Beef Rendang, Sambal Striped Bass, and sautéed greens & mushrooms. My favorite was actually the sautéed greens & mushrooms. The green beans were crisp, cooked just right. Tasted soooo good. My second favorite was the citrus salad. It's got a nice kick (spicy but not too spicy) and some crunchy toppings. The Sambal Striped Bass was good but I would've liked it to have more spiciness in it. We were warned it was spicy but it's really not. If you've lived in Austin for a while, you'll fine many salsas here a lot spicier than this dish. Even the citrus salad I thought was spicier than the fish. The Beef Rendang was just so so. Not to brag but my son made better Rendang than this. The dish needed more spices: cumin or coriander. And more chilies. The Arrak & Aura tasted good. The drink was made with coconut & pandan washed rum. But I couldn't taste any coconut or smell any pandan aroma. Regardless, there were other dishes that caught my eyes but we didn't get to try. So we will most likely be back!

Siti is easily one of the best new Asian restaurants to hit the Austin dining scene recently. Taking over Poeta's former eastside space it feels like a completely different restaurant leaning into dark, moody tones that set the vibe perfectly. But the real star here is the food and drinks. The wagyu spring roll is a must-order, both the flavor and presentation stand out and set the tone for the rest of the meal. The crab fried rice was hands down my favorite dish; the pork floss on top takes it to another level. The wok-fried noodles are also a solid choice, especially if you enjoy duck and are looking for a larger, shareable dish. Everything was perfectly paired with their turmeric-infused Old Fashioned, a fun and adventurous twist on the classic. To top it off the service was excellent from start to finish, attentive without ever feeling intrusive. They've recently launched a brunch menu and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more of what Siti has to offer.

Went here last night finally and we had a delicious meal, especially since happy hour was on from 5-6pm. We started with their crudo (on HH menu) which had delicious flavors. Then ordered the beef cheeks (HH menu) - so tender and tasty. From the regular menu we ordered the roti canai with lamb curry and the laksa with noodles. Both super filling and also delicious! The prices are steep for the non HH items, which can be somewhat hard to justify but the flavors were delicious! Will definitely be back for happy hour again.

Michelin grade Southeast Asian restaurant. Really unique blend of Indian, Thai, and Filipino dishes. Cozy and dim ambiance! My favorite was the beef cheeks & naan!! Appreciated how the dishes were coursed out in a timely manner. Servers explained dishes and ingredients well too. Qualify meals, def would try again

My fiancé and I met another couple at Siti for dinner recently. We found free street parking a block away and headed inside. We had a reservation and were sat a little bit later. The restaurant was a little on the louder side, and there was an odd, almost bathroom smell upon entering. Nevertheless, the food on other tables looked good, so we didn't think anything of it! We ordered several drinks and a bunch of food to share. The sauces were DELICIOUS. The roti was flavorful and the cab bag was seriously so good. We had several other dishes including the wood fired noodles, pork belly, and the crab and lobster dish. We also got a few chicken skewers. All were tasty. For dessert, we got the banana split and some ice cream. Our server asked us if we wanted 2 spoons, and we said 4 would be better. She misheard us and brought out 4 scoops of ice cream, which was confusing and not what we wanted. I am only giving Siti 3 stars because of two reasons. First, it is very pricey. The bill was over $400 with tax and tip. I just did not feel the meal merited that. Second, both my fiancé and me ended up with so much stomach pain an hour after the meal. We both felt like we were going to be sick, which you never want after a nice, expensive restaurant. I really was worried for several hours. Sadly, I don't plan on coming back.

Siti is far from traditional. It's more of a chef-driven blend of multiple Southeast Asian cuisines, to the point where you're not always sure which one you're tasting in a given dish. They've taken over the former Poeta space (SAD!) and have transformed the area to look more Asian colonial-inspired. For our party of three, we shared everything family-style and chose three of the "larger" dishes from the menu: -Wok-Fired Rice Noodles ($38): I would interpret this as Siti's version of Pad See Ew, upgraded with sliced Chinese sausage and a duck leg. -44 Farms Beef Cheeks ($35): Siti's rendition on Beef Rendang. It's rich and stew-like, so definitely ask for more rice--the amount they serve is embarrassingly small for this dish. -Laksa ($32) Not your traditional laksa; this version includes scallops and prawns, which aren't typically standard in classic recipes PRO TIP: Ask for some Roti on the side to dip into the soup! It's giving me curry As many Yelpers have mentioned, prices are STEEP ($40 for "pad see ew"?!), but so is everything else in Austin... if you're looking for a fraction of the cost either find someone's grandmother or book a trip STAT!

Banana Leaf Pandan Rice, Sambal, Lime

At first I thought this was fusion. But I'm glad it's not, and instead, it is a nice reimagining of dishes using ingredients available here. Grilled Seabass -- nice spicy sambal. At first, I thought the fish was nice and smokey. However, it turns out that they burned their fish, so much so that the bitterness permeated through the flesh, especially on the edges. When I inspected the skin, the perimeter of the skin was blackened. Imagine outlining the skin of the fish with a black sharpie that is about half a centimeter wide. This lead to a very unpleasant bitterness. The bitterness took the enjoyment out of the fish when eaten alone. However, I realized that to enjoy this dish, one should combine the fish with the accompanying ingredients. When put together make a really great bite. Unfortunately, the bitterness of the fish was a negative. Beef Cheek -- tender beef cheek. This dish was under-seasoned. A reasonable adjustment would be to include more of the slightly pickled herbs. Technically there was lime and more sambal, but the herbs would have lended a continual contrast to the richness of the beef. Rice -- I preferred the nasi santan served with the fish compared to the banana leaf pandan rice served with the beef cheek. Banana Split -- this was basically a deconstructed banana split, similar to most of the dishes here, where each component is separate. Each element was uninteresting on its own, but the combinations led to good bites. House Shrub -- this was pleasant and herbal, with at least galangal and maybe some ginger. My overall impressions of their food: Grilling of their fish was poor executed. Vegetable elements were really well done, and if you combine everything, then the flavors are quite good. However, is this choose your own adventure eating? It is with Siti. The staff don't mention this at all; you just have to realize that all their foods are presented as separate components. All dishes we ordered had their components separated. The components alone were rather boring, but putting everything together makes for wonderful bites. However, it can be risky to separate the components without informing a patron who doesn't know any better. I would suggest a bit more guidance when eating to those less informed (e.g. provide a suggestion to combine certain items when presenting the dish). As for the restaurant itself, it's rather charming inside. There is some booth seating along the wall by the bathroom, and there are mahjong pieces setup in certain corners. The lights are neat. There's a bar. The noise level can be loud, while some of the staff are soft spoken.

Siti is a new southeast-asian fusion restaurant located in the bottom floor of the eclectic Frances "modern inn". I was not aware of a dedicated lot so you will have to find street parking off 11th street which usually has a decent amount of spots within a 3 - 5 minute walk. The ambiance when you first walk in is great - it's a nice modern build with beautiful sharp colors and high end finishes. Definitely worthy of a "step-it-up date night" type of spot. Service is great, and menu is just the right size. There's a mix of lighter bites (apps, smalls, satays, sides) and about 4 - 5 "larger entrees" so it's easy to stay focused without being overwhelmed. The most important part of a restaurant is its food, and Siti DELIVERED. I'm usually skeptical walking into a fusion restaurant because sometimes they overdo the fusion and lose the essence of the base cuisine that is so important to the actual flavors and dishes. Siti does not make this fatal flaw and you truly taste the southeastern core of every dish (strong coconut, lemongrass, etc) while adding just a whisp of new to make it fresh and exciting. Every dish we ordered was amazing, but if force ranked: Laksa - I would eat this everyday. It's so creamy, savory, and yet not too heavy. Roti - fried just right, flavored without being forceful Chicken Satay - literally perfect. The accompanying pickles and acidity blended with the mild salty char so well Beef Randang - a bit heavy but intended to mix with the banana leaf rice which really balances out the dish. Overall Siti blew me away. I think I've been disappointed in the last 3 - 4 new "Asian fusion"' places I've been and Siti is now restoring my faith in the idea that Asian fusion can be executed well. I will be back!

THE BIG: Located in East Austin right off of E 11th street. This southeast asian fusion restaurant combines the best of all southeast asian cuisines and in one spot! Street parking available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here with the wife on a friday night and had a reservation but my flight came in late. Fortunately we were able to snag a spot at the bar and order there. The interior is super nice and vibey like an upscale speakeasy. For food, we got three dishes that included the Ayam penyet wings, roti canai and chili crab claws. Everything tasted great, however the portions were small. The chili crab claws were cute and you got the soak in the flavors of the curry from the dish. The chicken wings werea good size and came with a nice dipping sauce. I also can't complain about the roti canai that came with bone marrow. So so good *drool* THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall, the damage done here for three dishes was around $102. Hefty but delicious dish. I'd definitely come back to try more dishes.

Loro is an Asian smokehouse and bar featuring grilled and smoked meats with Southeast Asian and Japanese-inspired sauces, sides, and a bar that boasts craft beer, boozy slushees, and batch cocktails. Parking at this location is a bit of a challenge. They have overflow parking in the back but the spots are really small. We sat at the bar area and worked our way through cocktails, apps, and dessert. We opened a tab and the bar staff takes your order which is convenient, versus how you normally have to order by waiting in line at the bar. The bar staff was extremely busy because they have to make all the cocktails and take the line orders at the bar. They are a master of multitasking. It was $3 martini night on Tuesday, so was excited to sample the four different drink options. lychee martini, Mexican martini, and Lucky Cat cosmo martini. Lychee martini is made with new amsterdam vodka, sake, elderflower, Mexican martini with espolon blanco, olive, yuzu, lime and cosmo with vodka, blood orange, naranja, lime. The lychee was hands down my favorite of the three. We started with the Dip Sampler that included a trifecta of smoked shishito queso, smoked salmon dip and Thai green salsa with the Siete blue corn tortilla chips. We went through the chips quickly and got a second round of wonton chips which I preferred to the Siete chips. Tried the Mango Chamoy frozen Slushee with Siete Chamoy Botana Sauce & Siete Chile Lime Seasoning Rim, passionfruit, Aperol, Sake and Sparkling Wine which was refreshing. All their boozy slushies are $5 during happy hour. Ordered the oak grilled edamame from the happy hour menu and it was a flavor explosion with a dusting of serracha powder, lemon zest and white sesame. For dinner, I ordered my go-to rice bowl with coconut-scented rice, seasonal pickles, thai herbs and steak as the protein. They normally served this with Bavette, but the steak was a bit tough and chewy this time. Finished everything off with cheesecake with five spice crumble, yuzu marmalade for dessert. The vibe at the bar was relaxed and lively without feeling overwhelming, and the collab menu felt creative without trying too hard. The ingredients are very thoughtful for a fully developed flavor profile. Just what I would expect from the culinary minds of Tyson Cole and Aaron Franklin. Definitely one of the regulars in my list when craving good cocktails with a casual but elevated food menu.
