I really feel the need to write this review right now, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS! the customer service was great right from the walk in, our waitress rosy helped us and she was so nice and helpful. My husband got the steak and unlimited shrimp, his steak was SOOOOOOOOOOOO goooood! Rosy said the chefs name was Lució. The food was great and the salad bar was great as well everything was fresh. I went to Sizzler with a friend and we both ordered a sirloin steak with rice, mixed vegetables and shrimp skewers. We were happily eating until my friend noticed that there was a worm in the broccoli. When we saw this we told the waitress about it and she told us it was okay because the broccoli was boiled in hot boiling water so she "thought it was okay". We told her we weren't okay with it and asked to speak to the manager and he apologized and asked if we wanted a replacement plate. We agreed since we were already here and they replaced the vegetables with a baked potato, but we lost all our appetite and just couldn't eat after seeing the worm. We again talked to the manager and asked for our money back since we were so grossed out but he refused. We then asked for at least half of our money back and he agreed so we got back $17.99 instead of the $40 I originally spent. We've been eating at this Sizzler for 18 years but after this experience I will never come back. They raised the salad bar price, took off a lot of the items that came with the salad bar and there's no variety at all. It was the nastiest experience at a restaurant. read more

Last week, I had dinner at the Sizzler on Artesia and Woodruff in Bellflower and received the best service ever at any Sizzler anywhere in California or Arizona. I was greeted by Nancy B. when I paid for my dinner and she was very nice and welcoming! Then my server took my breathe away, extremely nice and helpful. After I got some food at the salad bar, I then sat down and my server Jessica brought my dinner, the Malibu Chicken which was delicious. She then asked me if I'd like to keep the dinner warm in the kitchen till I finished my salad. How awesome is that! I've never been asked that question before anywhere. Jessica was very helpful, brought me clean plates, never had to ask for anything and was constantly checking to make sure everything was OK and if I needed anything! I highly recommend this Sizzler and expect to get the same treatment as I did, just ask for Nancy B. and Jessica and you will!!! read more

Wednesday evening: we had BBQ Ribs, salad bar, great selection in salads. All varieties of fruits and veggies, fresh veggies, crab celery salad, jicama mango bell pepper salad was the bomb. my husband had the fish and chips also very pleased. Delish mac and cheese, wings, garlic cheese bread dipped in nacho cheese from salad bar, yummy deserts. Banana pudding. Jello, strawberry blueberry drizzled w quinoa Bangin! Great service. Got invited to Sizzler's on a Sunday evening. The way the restaurant is setup is a little misleading. You pay when you enter, and there's a buffet in the middle, so it appears to be a buffet. Apparently, the buffet is just one option on their midsized menu. The complimentary​ cheese toast itself is worth a visit. I ordered the Trifecta, triple play, or whatever it was called. It included shrimp, riblets, and a 6 ounce steak. It was decent. I wouldn't be expect to be blown away by anything from Sizzler's. All in all, the place is a more family friendly version of Chili's or Applebee's. read more

I've been coming to this sizzlers for years and each visit, they never disappoint. Our server, Rosy, was very kind.

I'm a long time (8 yrs) customer of the particular location (Bellflower) My friends and I used to go several times per month, for holidays, birthdays and to just catch up on what everyone is doing. We purposely pick a time that we hope is slow so we don't take up a table when there's a big line of people waiting. Usually around 2:30 or 3:30 on Sat or Sunday. After lunch and before the dinner rush. The food is always excellent and the remodel is quite attractive. The last time we went the experience there was very bad. My friend and I both ordered the Salad bar and we were pretty much rushed the whole time. We usually like to stay more than an hour, but it was crowed and loud and we didn't really enjoy eating so after about half hour when the server couldn't get us to take more plates, the manager started asking us if we wanted something else, strong hints to leave. We always liked this place because it was a busy, but quiet, enjoyable place to eat and all the servers knew us, now it's sadly not that way anymore. I don't like being run through like cattle especially since the prices are higher now too. We may try again just in case it was a mistake, but the last experience left us really sad that we lost our favorite restaurant. read more

My son had a birthday and he wanted to go to this particular sizzler due to its high ratings. What a disappointment this was! First off, his steak was served on a dirty plate, I don't mean dirty as in barbecue sauce or grease, I mean it was literally dirty. Like they didn't even bother to put it thru the machine to get washed. Of course I sent it back and asked for a fresh steak to be served on a clean plate. 30 minutes go by, and the rest of our party were close to being done with our meals, even though we were all taking our time so we can all eat at the same time. When his meal was finally brought out to him, he took two bites when he saw a hair on the bottom of his steak! I was completely mortified at the audacity of this place! I asked for the manager and he swore to me that all the cooks wear caps, this was all irrelevant to me when all we saw was a hair on the bottom of his steak. Instead of offering a solution, he made excuses that were ridiculous. It's such a shame when all you want is to have a nice birthday dinner with family and the highly rated restaurant, doesn't live up to the hype. Was just eating in Sizzler tonight with a party of 7. It was my first time back since Sizzler has redone the restaurant and it looked great. The Restaurant was backed with people! We were able to find a table and watch sports on their new amazing televisions they have in the the restaurant! It was great to see familiar faces of the people who stilled worked there! Our server Jessica, who is fabulous, greeted us and took care of us our whole visit! She is so sweet and gets her job done know matter how many tables she has to take care of! Today, we went to the newly remodeled Sizzler for lunch. It was very clean and modern looking... best part, no line just yet! We beat the "Now Open" banner, they were just putting it up and advertising they're now open again. My boss ate a lunch portion size steak that he very much enjoyed and my co-worker and I were happy with our salad bar option. The salad bar now has a designated employee for mixing your salad in a large cold bowl (helps with spreading the toppings and dressing proportionately). The corn balls and cheese bread was awesome too! Paulette our server was super awesome and provided top-notch service. Thanks for being so friendly, we'll be back again! read more

I went with my wife on Saturday, June 4th 2022. Her fish and salad was pretty good and my french fries were very good but my $20.99 11-12oz "Sizzler Steak" although cooked correctly ( medium rare ) was as "tough as nails" I'm a strong man and it took a good amount of effort to cut through & eat my steak. I didn't feel like going through the effort of complaining ( which I probably should have done ) so I just made the best of it. Couldn't recommend this Sizzler, food is expensive and their serving a "poor quality" cut of beef. I'm sorry to post a negative review but this is the truth "nothing more & nothing less". read more

Had lunch here. We've been to plenty of Sizzlers in So Cal. Overall, decent. Quick, friendly service. Clean establishment. However, both my boyfriend and I noticed and agreed that many of the items in the salad bar at this location were overly salty. The menudo, the guacamole, the grilled peppers, the potato wedges, the chicken noodle soup, the hot bar carnitas. Even the sour cream seemed salty! Funny that I'm seeing a review from less than a month ago praising Marcos, the server. We had the opposite experience with him. Maybe it was an off day, but he wasn't cool with us. Restaurant was maybe half full, parking was easy. So, I can't imagine the lack of attention. I had salad bar, hub had a bacon burger and fries. I thought the burger should have been bigger for $11.99, but he said it was good. A bit into the meal, he said I should taste a fry. Took me a sec, but fries, though they had good seasoning, had a fishy flavor. My salad was awesome. The mixing station seems kinda cool, but I'd rather mix my own salad. I think salad scissors, like the Pampered Chef (no interest in the company, just a cool tool) type, would be perfect as most of the green salad mix leaves are just too large. Fried wing bin was empty and that's my favorite item in the bar. No big, just figured I'd ask the server to alert the kitchen (though shouldn't someone monitor everything?). So, Marcos introduced himself, asked if we wanted toast, anything else. I asked if wings were on their way out, he said they were and he'd be back with bread. Second visit to our table he brought the toast and I asked if I could have another plate (the wings had arrived at the bar). Before I could complete the sentence, he said "you will". Okay.. I was looking for a plate, not reassurance. I really wanted the wings with my salad. I ate through most of it, while my hub continued to wait for his meal (not Marcos' fault). Meanwhile, I watched Marcos deliver extra plates to surrounding tables, then disappeared. We watched and waited, then my hub went to the front counter, but it had gotten crowded by then. Finally, after he returned to our table, Marcos showed up with another plate for me and hub's plate. He asked if we wanted more bread, we answered yes.... then watched it being dropped off at surrounding tables. Never got to ours. We had to ask for more water, nothing automatic from Marcos. Oh, my hub was never offered ketchup for his fries, and since Marcos had disappeared earlier, a nice man from an adjacent table offered his. I really wanted to leave Marcos at least a dollar, but hub said no. Marcos didn't even have the full responsibilities of a server, yet still left a lot to be desired. Sorry, Marcos. I stopped here just because I was in the area & let me tell you the ribs were so tender! Probably one of the best ribs I've EVER had they fell off the bone when I went to lift them! The steak was super flavorful and delicious & so was the strawberry lemonade! I would 10/10 recommend:)!! read more

I've been coming to this Sizzler since I was in the first grade. Our school used to give away lunch buffets here as prizes for something or other. My folks also liked to spoil me and my siblings when it came to food, so I was exposed to steak and garlic cheese bread early. I still come by here occasionally, and I actually like it now than before, mainly because they've remodeled and updated the decor inside and gave the place a much-needed paint job. The menu is essentially the same since I was seven, with the exception of removing the kid's menu. I used to eat out of that kid's menu as well...those were the days. The usual prime rib well done for me. I've had that since before my baby teeth all fell out. I always liked the line leading up to the menu wall with me and my family because you can smell the food, and I knew we were going to have a good dinner. Honestly the line at Sizzler is about the only restaurant line I'm willing to stand in for a longer-than-usual amount of time. Since everything was prepaid, the only thing you had to shell out at the end was the tip for the server. My father showed me how to make four bucks look more like eight bucks by simply folding it in half and fanning it out. He always places it under something like the sugar/sweetener holder or a cup to hold it in place. Little did I know at the time that that may have been pretty shiesty. They've stopped giving away lollipops at the end of your meal. It was either I was too old for it, or providing them were getting too expensive. In any case, I like this Sizzler and I have to hand it to the chain...they've inculcated a love of steak in me from my early years. read more

My husband and I joined a group of friends for dinner this evening at this Sizzler location. We have dined here several times in the past, and it tends to be hit or miss. This is one of the reasons I gave the location a 3-star rating. In all honesty, I am torn between a 2-star and 3-star, but there are no "half-stars," so I upped to a 3 rating. I was pretty shocked at the cost for two people. My husband ordered the Barramundi (a type of perch fish) dinner, and I ordered the steak with pasta shrimp scampi. We both added on the salad bar to our dinners. My husband ordered ice tea, and I just had water to drink. The total with tax was just under $50 for this meal. Really? $50 for two people at a SIZZLER?? I guess I was a bit shocked because A) I usually dine at Sizzler for lunch and B) I nearly fell over when the cashier stated that the salad bar add on would be $6.99 per person. Heck, that is nearly the cost of a meal, and certainly not what I expect for an "add-on." Next, the service was far from "world-class." I do not know our server's name, but she was a young woman wearing glasses and dark brown hair. In her defense, there were a lot of us having dinner, probably about 12 in our party. However, most people ordered the salad bar and dinner entree. I have NEVER understood why the Sizzler keeps the plates in "hiding" for the salad bar. They are NOT the only full-service restaurant to offer salad bars on top of menu items. Marie Calendar's has a salad bar, Orange County Mining Company offers a salad bar with full menu service, as does Claim Jumper, etc. None of these other establishments feel the need to "hide" their plates from their customers and dole them out one at a time; making people beg for them. However, since Sizzler insists on handing out plates like they are gold nuggets, then the least they could do is make sure to come over to tables in a timely manner to check if clean plates are needed. Another option is to leave a stack of clean plates at the table for people to use at their leisure since salad bars were ordered. Instead, our server came around VERY infrequently to bring dishes. She never offered to refill my husband's ice tea or my water. It was very annoying. I finally got up and went over to the cashier to ask for a clean plate. She was going to give me lip, and tell me that I had to get a clean plate from my server. I admit that I barked at her and said, "I can't ask my server because she only comes by every hour or so." The cashier apologized and gave me a plate. I mean this is ridiculous. I should not have to beg for a plate, and the server should NOT have to come around and constantly check on our plate status. Note to management: PUT OUT PLATES FOR THE SALAD BAR LIKE ALL YOUR COMPETITORS. Oh, and not that this happened to "us," but it did happen to someone in our party. The server brought over a plate of food that was NOT for this person. She kept telling the waitress that she ordered shrimp with a baked potato. However, the meal she was given was three types of shrimp and rice and pasta with scampi. The girl was adamant that the meal belonged to this woman, she said that was what was on the receipt. However, there was no way to prove or disprove this because the server had picked up the receipt to pull the order. She finally takes the dish away after clarifying for the 4th time the woman only wanted shrimp and a baked potato. Literally, 5 minutes later the manager brings the SAME meal out and tells the woman to "keep it" and he'll bring her a baked potato. Okay...but A) did the woman get charged for the much larger meal she did NOT want? B) that meal had been sitting in the server's hand a good 10 minutes, plus another 5 minutes when she left our table...so now the food was more than cold...so WHY was the manager pushing the wrong dish and a cold one at that on this woman? C) After all, that the manager should have offered to refund the cost of the meal..not just bring her a baked potato. What kind of B.S. is that? Again, I am giving the place 3-stars because the salad bar was very good tonight. The assortment of foods was very fresh and well stocked. However, the service was more in the range of a 1-star rating. It feels like Sizzler is run by a control-freak. Most establishments that offer self-serve have the dishes out for their guests and drink machines, so people can serve themselves. Otherwise, it would be nice to leave pitchers at the tables when there is a large group. It does not make for an enjoyable dining experience to constantly have to hunt down the server just to get a plate or drink refill or just forego both in order to maintain your sanity. read more

Yes.. I actually went to Sizzler's. Can you believe that? Are we back in the 90's??? Anyway... I first started going to this Sizzler's when I was a kid. My aunt used to always take my sister and I on the weekends. Now, about a year ago I went back, it had been years since I had ate at a Sizzler's. I typically always get the salad bar, but I just went this past weekend and I ordered the "Bacon Medallions." DONT EAT IT!! It was so under cooked. I had ordered the steaks medium, but it was practically rare. Now, the only reason why I scored my "A-Ok" rating is because the Salad bar is still pretty good. They have a good spread and the soups, and hot foods are usually good. I could have just ate that compared to the steaks I ordered. As well, my waitress was pretty nice. This location is very clean. The salad bar has a great select. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. But the reason we keep coming back is JESSICA!!!!! She always has a big smile and is so welcoming. She always asks how we have been and how our son has (he's a teen now so God forbid he be seen with us in public anymore). She remembers our whole family and how we like our steaks, bread, and baked potatoes. She never lets our drinks or bread basket get empty. A true blessing to Sizzler! We going to Sizzler. We going to Sizzler. Yes it's that place of yesteryear. I enjoyed this place as a kid and I still do as an adult but sometimes the flavor is just lacking. Visited this particular Sizzler and had the buffet bar. Some kids should really be supervisioned when going to a buffet bar, they tend to go crazy and touch everything with their hands including food that they have not selected to eat. This place is a standard sizzler and can get packed on the weekends. Steak was just ok, but the fried shrimp and cheese bread are what you come here for. read more
