    prime rib burger $13
    Jeff H.

Another good meal at Sizzler. We had the salad bar, 14oz ribeye steak $29, prime rib burger $13 and the shrimp shrimp shrimp plate $19. Soda was $4. I noticed the baby corn sprouts were not available. Cut corn was. The highlight for me was the unlimited soup. Love how I can add bacon & mushrooms from the salad bar to the soup. The combos are almost endless. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was kind of full at 7pm. By 8pm, most people had left.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good times.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Whenever I'm craving a bit of nostalgia, I find myself going back to Sizzler. It brings back a lot of childhood memories since my family would come here after church or whenever we were celebrating something special. Trying it again as an adult, you realize it's not quite as gourmet as you might have remembered as a kid, but it's still solid comfort food and the prices are reasonable. The service has also always been friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even better. If you want to get the most value, I highly recommend going with the salad bar. There are tons of options, and you can really get creative by mixing and matching different items. My personal favorites from the salad bar are the salads, fried chicken, clam chowder, and the tacos. If I don't go with the salad bar, I usually order the "Shrimp, Shrimp, Shrimp," which comes with mini crispy shrimp, jumbo crispy shrimp, and a shrimp skewer, plus rice on the side. When I was younger, I used to always get the unlimited crispy shrimp, so this feels like the upgraded adult version. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, Sizzler is a simple, casual American restaurant, so it's best to come without super high expectations. If you're looking for comforting, familiar food at a good price and maybe a little nostalgia, it still hits the spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This review is strictly for the New York strip that I've had twice. Ordered medium rare, came out medium rare both times. This obviously isn't choice cut but whoever is grilling back there in the past two years on the weekdays is doing a good job. Cheese toast is good too.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a comfort family place for me. Good childhood memories of the big family coming here, including people who are no longer with us anymore.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is alright, set your expectations properly as this is a simple casual American diner with unlimited salad bar[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Meat is 90% of the time over cooked and burnt. I've come to expect it from the many nights of eating here. Not that it's acceptable but it is what it is. End of night there is way too much charcoal on the grills and the grill could use a really good cleaning. Salad bar highlights! DIY taco wifh ground beef Meatball and spaghetti Lots of salad choices 4 soup choices Soft serve machine with 2 flavors. Too bad the soft serve was super runny and melty today. GRATUITY- These people work hard. TIP your server DIRECTLY instead of when you pay for your food. It helps!

8 oz steak with chicken and rice.

Why did I agree to eat at Sizzler? After shopping at Target the hubs said let's eat at Sizzler's next door. Anything to get me out of cooking, that's why. I ordered the steak with all you can eat fried shrimp. I ordered rare because they always overcook the steaks. He got the 8 oz. steak with chicken and rice. The steak shrunk from previous years. A lot of years ago, tbh. His was big enough. I had a hard time slicing my tri tip. The shrimps were falling out of my plate. It was more medium rare. I had to add salt, pepper, and A1. The shrimps were ok, but way too much, you can't even order more, at least I couldn't. Baked potato was meh. Slobbered with a ton of fake butter. Told the hubs, that's it. We're never gonna eat here again. Your home cooked steak is 100x better. I couldn't finish my 6 oz steak because it was hard to slice. Yes, I took the leftovers home. Something to eat for lunch the next day. I hate wasting food. The vulture ate everything on his plate but still complained about the quality. We also tried the soft serve ice cream. I took 3 bites and couldn't take anymore. Sorry for wasting it. Goodbye Sizzler! It was a lot better in the 80s.

I was very pleasantly surprised. Theirsalad bar is very fresh and has a variety of salads options and it comes with the choice of four various hot soups and even brownie for dessert. All for $14.99 plus tax.

Sauteed mushrooms, they served it on the side but normally I prefer they pour it straight onto the steak.

If you're looking for a cozy humble salad bar and simplicity in-chain steakhouse, I would say this has been at least my 7th-8th time going to Sizzler in Colma for last five years for some decent food-for-price point food and expedient no frills or upselling in service. I've been going to this Sizzler and this most recent version (it was definitely different when my folks brought me here in the 1990's) is pretty darn fair decent considering what you pay for. Of all the times I have been here though I always get the $14.99 lunchy salad bar AYCE with soups varying from Clam Chowder, Chicken Noodle, Cream of Broccoli, and sometimes Chili or Vegetable soup. There is also some great seafood surimi-crab salad, tuna macaroni salad, some nice array of jello and a soft swrve machine with some hot food dishes. BUT TODAY, today 4/6/26 was different- I wanted to give them a chance for steak and try their advertise Trio Special of a 6oz Sirloin Steak, Butterfly Shrimp, fried Chicken-Ham parm, and a loaded baked potato. To be honest, I was surprised for the price pf $31 it was actually a good deal as the qualoty of the steak was not bad, had some lean some fat and not too dry. The loaded baked potato was very stuffed with sour cream and bacon with onion but there was just not enough cheese, so that was a sorta a ding on the potato. The chicken-ham parm steak was not bad, very crispy (but they should have a side of marinara with it next time), and the 4x pc butterfly shrimp was crispy. Overall, the whole TRIO - Was a decent deal on pricepoint especially as they do come with a slice of cheese bread (I asked for some more and they were nice to give me two slices not just one piece the second time ). My other so called subjective issue is I paid extra $3 for sauteed mushrooms and they brought it out after I had to remind them that was part of my meal (which I found strange because when I go to Texas Roadhouse/Outback, I recall the sauteed mushrooms are normally poured on top of the steak which I like not on a separate side plate ) leaves a little to be changed. Overall - pricepoint- 5, service-4.5 they were generous, food quality for the Steak Trio - a solid 3.5-4 - it could be better prepared in terms of flavor for the potato and sauteed mushrooms. Altogether - I would say their food is so far pretty decent and considering they also offer to make my 6oz to an 8oz on the menu for $3 they do try to offer certain deals. Me personally, I would tell anyone just stick with the 6oz because an extra 2oz doesnt really give you more than one extra bite of steak so what was the point of that . Aside from that - they offered soft serve but I chose to watch my calories but overall - it was good. I will come back next time really hungry and go with a steak and salad bar for extra $9 and try that to see if its even better.

Food was good. Typical Sizzler- but service was bad. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tables were dirty and not bussed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitress was very rushed and never brought me the lemon for my shrimp that I asked for. She never came back and asked me how my food was. The $5 strawberry lemonade was watered down with very little flavor. They actually have a customer booth filled with condiments. I'm assuming so they don't have to go to the back to get them for customers. Looked really unprofessional. Overall, crappy experience.

The lighting was minimal while we ate because it was during sunset - which nicely lit the restaurant. We got the C3 combo (potatoes, corn, sausage, shrimp & your choice of Dungeness or king crab (price difference depending which type of crab you pick)). We chose Dungeness crab for our combo and added extra potatoes & sausage. We also ordered the grilled squid and soft shell crab salad. The soft shell crab salad was good; The crab was just a bit over-fried. The grilled squid was great. Nice, chewy texture of the squid & the sauce it came in complimented the dish well. The flavor on the C3 combo was good. The seasoning clumped together and became a paste at the bottom of the bag, which would stick to the food, so I found myself wiping it off while eating.

We typically order a pound of shrimp and mussels, along with rice and fried fish. Today, the shrimp seemed noticeably smaller than usual, and I felt like the sauce didn't really penetrate the shrimp. I had to dip the shrimp into the sauce to get enough flavor. The fried fish, however, was surprisingly good--crispy, flavorful, and probably my favorite part of the meal today. Unfortunately, what really disappointed me was something I noticed while we were dining. One of the employees was doing side work and folding the gloves provided to customers with her bare hands. She had nail polish on, and her nails appeared untrimmed. These are the same gloves customers use to handle and dip food, so seeing them handled this way raised some serious hygiene concerns for me. I understand that employees have various side tasks to complete, but food-contact items like these gloves should be handled in a way that prevents contamination. It was honestly pretty gross to see and took away from the overall experience. I've always enjoyed coming here, so I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reviews proper food-safety and glove-handling procedures with the staff.

My most recent visit for lunch on a Saturday was very busy! The line was out the door but they move fast and the food comes out even quicker. There are plenty of outdoor and indoor tables where you sit wherever you. There is self service water with and without lemon throughout the location. Pros: Quick and friendly service Tasty lobster rolls, lobster chowder, and crab sandwiches Con: Parking is VERY limited. They have a small lot in the back and you can park against their fence but over the weekend it's almost impossible. There is street parking but also a little hard if you want to park directly nearby. I parked about 1.5 blocks away on the next street parallel to the restaurant. The naked lobster roll is one of my favorites because you can really taste the meatiness of the lobster. You can tell it is fresh in every way with the buttery brioche bread. The tray comes loaded with chips and a side of Cole slaw. If you come with friends, I recommend getting a bowl of the lobster soup to share. Dipping the chips into the soup is chef's kiss! If you are a smaller party, you can always get the 1/2 lobster roll and cup of soup. But the better deal is to get the soup to share on the side since the lobster roll is $39 vs the 1/2 lobster roll and cup of soup is $37. If choosing between the which lobster roll to get, I opt for the naked roll because of the freshness and it is not as heavy. The dressed lobster roll has a good amount of flavor and pairs well with the bread, it's a little heavier because of the mayo and butter brioche bread. They don't use a ton of mayo in it so it's not as bad as you may think. I've had the twin tails in the past and I can definitely say it was very easy to get the lobster out. Sometimes some places make it more difficult and people don't want to really dig in with their hands. Safe to say it was very easy to eat. Over the years, I've seen the price go up with inflation unfortunately. So I definitely still come but as a little treat to myself or if I were to come celebrate a special occasion.

I used the promotion on the website to get 2 free pounds of shrimp as well as the #7 combo (shrimp, mussels, crawfish). I got the combo in the super ultimate sauce. The flavor of the sauce was pretty good, and you get a lot of it in the bag. It was interesting because it had a bit of a tomato-y scent to it, almost like creamy spaghetti sauce, but it also reminded me of instant ramen flavoring (lol)?? I like that the sauce didn't taste as salty or as unhealthy as Boiling Crab's sauce, which has a ton of butter and leaves me chugging water afterwards. As for the seafood itself, the shrimp was good but a bit overcooked. My favorite part of shrimp is eating the heads, but these heads did not taste very good or fresh. Similarly, I got a few mussels that were closed which means they were dead before cooking and have to be tossed. I also wish they had a combo that was shrimp + mussels + clams because I don't really like crawfish. I do like that the combo comes with some sides, but the sausage pieces should definitely be bigger than some skinny slices. Overall taste of the bag was fine, and it was piping hot so seems like it was really freshly cooked when I picked up. Cajun Bowl hit the spot and I'm glad I have this option close to home!
