Salad Bar - I have to say the salad bar isn't too bad. Usually you can tack it onto a meal. I managed to eat a couple plates of salad as well as some bowls of soup. Umm. Do NOT go to the Sizzler in Colma. Was super excited to try the salad bar of my childhood. Rewarded with terrible food poisoning (diagnosed by doctor), a manager who was mad at *ME* the next day when I called to report it, and 3!! unanswered calls to Corporate. What a total mess. Editing to add that the servers are amazing and working sooo hard. They rule. But I can't go back. It would be one thing if they responded in any sort of way that was apologetic or appropriate. #neveragain. #sizzlerdidntsizzle read more

Have not been to a Sizzler in 20+ years and particularly this location which is still standing, and I could see why. Feeling nostalgic, decided to kick off 2020 lunch with a classic Steak & Shrimp combo and of course adding the all u can eat salad bar.....the classic flavors and feel still kickin! Salad Bar- Clean and fresh-looking ingredients with enough choices to make your plate look plentiful. Of course, the salad bar these days include soup, taco, pasta & chicken wings.....totally worth the extra $7. Soup- Had the clam chowder that was made with milk instead of heavy cream and a with the lighter texture, it was a good starter to the meal. Well balanced, filling and satisfying. Chicken Wings - small crispy fried goodness and with the buffalo sauce & ranch on the side, why go to Hooter's (other than the chicken). Taco bar- kept it simple with the hard shell and just had the seasoned ground turkey and salsa and it reminded me of the good ole tacos you use to get when you were kid. Both hard and soft versions were available though. Steak and siracha skewered shrimp- recommend ordering the steak medium rare as with the size not being super thick, the sirloin is better to medium rare as it comes to your table closer to medium which is fine and paired with 6 pieces of siracha dusted shrimp and a baked potato, great lunch value. Service was spot on from the greeter to our server. When we were piling on our salad plates, the classic garlic toast was already on the table & that 1st bite brought back a lot of great memories. Overall, it was a fun and nostalgic experience and with the re-mod of the interior it was very clean and orderly so hopefully will return before waiting another 2 decades. read more

We got the unlimited salad bar, and upon sitting down, a waiter gave us 4 slices of garlic toast. Later on he came around and gave us fried chicken wings/drumsticks, which is a nice change compared to last time where they put it in the public area where it was gone within 1 minute. Now they have orange chicken in the public area where the chicken wings previously were years ago. Garlic toast - ok, maybe better if eaten while hot Fried chicken - good, especially while still hot. Doesn't need any sauce Clam chowder - good Salad bar - The salad's ok. A decent enough amount of options Spaghetti - Alright. I added cheese sauce, beef, and what I thought was tomato sauce, which was too watery to work well as a sauce(it was probably for the tortilla chips instead). Seafood salad - Bad. The imitation crab was barely cut so it was way too thick. Orange chicken - Absolutely TERRIBLE. Barely any sauce, and the breading is way too thick. It's like .75 inches. Took me a couple of bites to even recognize that it was chicken. Ineditable. read more

Sizzler is not bad for what it is. We were greeted well and while ordering our group was talking and prime rib at HOPR and the cashier said I hope your not expecting the same cuts and offered to upgrade ours to a better cut. He was right the better cuts were worth the small price difference and it came out exactly how we ordered it. The salad bar was great they were constantly refilling the food and the toast was great. The server was very attentive and was always asking if we wanted refill on the wings and replaced our dirty plates with clean ones for the salad bar. All in all it's a good value and good food! I would go again! read more

The place has fallen off so hard rapidly in these past few years. The food has become so off putting, expensive and stank. The classic steak and lobster has chewy steak, over cooked and undercooked sections ( how?). They don't provide garlic bread anymore but forget all that, no one goes to sizzler just for the food no we go for the salad bar. Well, they removed the chicken wings and replaced with them horribly stiff and leathery chicken nuggets. Along with the rest of the hot foods, it's unrecognizable and unappetizing and I feel like one bite of the "taco meat" could probably send you to the hospital because it looks that dangerous. The server at reception was rude and who wouldn't be when you'd have to work at a place like this. There's no redeeming quality here at this location, not even worth revisiting if you ever stopped coming here. read more

So I know this is my fault because I came to Sizzler but I wanted a salad bar and this is the only one I know of in the area. When I walked in I should have known better because of the big man standing behind the counter playing on his phone and not being of any help to the cashier. He ran his hands through his hair then proceeded to stock the napkins they use to wrap the flatware. I figured that was going to be the worst of it but boy was I wrong. The poor lady in front of me had to ask for a cup for ice because her bottle of beer was warm. We ordered 2 salad bars and 2 sodas for $41 which I don't have a big problem with because they do offer quite a bit of options for the salad bar however..... I had to ask one of the 3 gentlemen to refill it as there nearly everything was empty. I finally got to sitdown to eat only to find that all of the flatware still had food on it. The only one at the time that was working other than the cashier was a nice gentleman named Freddie and he noticed me looking at the forks and brought me 3 new roll ups and took the dirty ones. Unfortunately those too still had food on them, at this point I took our forks into the restroom and turn the hot water on and let it get as hot as possible and washed them myself. Overall this was one of the worst experiences I have had in a restaurant and I have worked in the industry myself. Freddie is the shinning star of this place so if you go in and he is working try sitting in his area! The last thing I will say is that while only Freddie was working I blame the lack of supervision, I never saw a manager or anyone that looked like a supervisor. read more

This restaurant has been improved quite a bit in the last couple of months. The salad bar is cleaner and has more variety. There are spaghetti meatballs, chicken wings, and popcorn chicken/mini corndogs. Also, I see more dessert choices such cake, brownies, strawberries, watermelon, etc. The sparkling water is also back after a long period of absence. We will continue going back to this restaurant and are very happy with their improvement. read more

I usually go to the Sizzler in Hayward. Since I am out here in San Francisco now I needed to find one closer. This restaurant location is perfect! It's close to the highway and damn near all of your shopping needs! You can find Target, Michael's, Sizzler, Serramonte Mall, a few banks, car dealerships and a ton of other necessities! There is even a Sprouts for those of us who want healthier variety! I absolutely would return and recommend. The people were ALL very positive and friendly. Not afraid to engage in conversation. It was also very clean. The rest room to. (important) We spent $43 for 2 unlimited salad bar and Unlimited Peach/Mango tea. So if you want all you can eat or even a rib eye or seafood later that is quality, definitely make this a choice! Your taste buds will thank you! read more

Does the pictures look appealing to you? It tastes the way it looks. The steak dish is extremely soggy and salty. The pasta was so bland and the sauce was chunky. We took a couple of bites and left it. Luckily we also ordered the salad bar. Had clam chowder to fill us up which was just ok. Salad is salad. I miss when they had fried chicken wings. Those were the days when the food was better! Even their cheese bread that comes with the meal is not crispy. Location was good because it was within a shopping center so there was ample of parking. read more

5 stars alone for Freddie and the amazing service he provided to me and my family tonight! We haven't been to Sizzler in years, but he made it feel like home again. If there's an employee of the year award, please give it to him. He deserves all the best in the world because of how kind, attentive, and genuine he was. This place provided so much nostalgia - from the Malibu Chicken to the soft serve, and the classic cheesy bread. (Freddie quickly noticed how much we loved the bread and brought us extra, haha.) The cashier was friendly, and I saw the workers doing a good job refilling empty food trays in the salad bar area. They bused tables frequently, too. Overall it was like my childhood all over again, and this visit made my week. Thank you again to Freddie, you are a star! read more

Decided to have lunch with my daugter here. I had the dbl malibu chicken and MyJade had the grilled salmon with salad bar. Its been awhile since we've been to a sizzler cause we usually go to the Sizzler on gellert but thats gone. My review was mainly to the older filipino server, sadly i didn't get his name but his smile on his face is so pleasant. (We sat at the table facing the dessert section)He was always checking on us, asking if everthing was ok. And did the same with his other tabled customers. Yeah i know its HIS job but i know its a tough job or probably he hates it, whatever. It he just made our visit comforting/homey. Totally enjoyed my meal, soup/salad/ main course/dessert was meh. Definitely will be coming back hopefully manong will still be there. So again older filipino server working on wednesday,9/12 before 3pm-Kudos to you. read more

I was in the area and had an old school hankering for Malibu chicken! It's been forever since I've been in a Sizzler! Just walking in brought me back to fond childhood memories of my fam having dinner out. I was on my way back to work so I needed to take-out. The hallway walk-though to the wall menu has been updated but still the same! I placed my order for double Malibu chicken and baked tater to-go. I waited to the side for my order and ogled the salad bar to see what's on the agenda there and wow, super clean and I mean, spotless salad bar, and the area in general, too! The glass, sneeze-guard, over-hang was crystal clear as well! I'm impressed! The items look fresh and well organized. Service was attentive to me as a bystander awaiting my to-go package and they offered me a seat while I waited but I chose to stand checking out the salad bar! My order was prepared in about 15 minutes, not long of a wait at all in late afternoon and they were super busy! Note: they have lady chef in the kitchen rocking it! Woohoo! You go girl! Back at my desk, my meal was very well packaged to-go. Malibu sauce (the same & the best ever!) tightly placed inside little plastic containers as well as butter/sour cream for my baked tater. The Texas toast, omg, awesome! I couldn't get enough! Placed in a side bag for freshness. Plastic flatware included in my bag which was thoughtful and welcomed. The meal, just as I remembered, was awesome! What an awesome throw back! Friendly and helpful staff made my throw back Sizzler to-go experience a great updated memory! Thanks! read more

Dirty... I was in the restroom. Saw a worker come in, take a piss with his blue gloves on. Wash those same blue gloves with soap and water. Then push the full garbage down with the same gloves. This isn't my 1st choice of place to eat. But I've got to say our service was outstanding. The waiter Denzel was a beast!!!! He was handling at least 10 tables if not more, maybe 20 plus people with a mixture of young kids/babies, the elderly, & mature adults. His customer service was excellent. He was prompt with our order. (This includes my husband, mom, & 2 year old daughter) We seen him move from table to table, taking orders, serving, & picking up the dirty dishes. On top of all that, he was extremely debonair. He can hold a conversation & he made this place spark. He made the atmosphere very welcoming. Customer service is everything, it can make or break whether you'll come back. We'll be back because of Denzel's excellent work ethic. read more

Make sure you don't get there after 8:00 p.m. the service is horrible nobody wants to wait your table I ordered a burger with fries I got the burger with about seven fries literally then they served us a few plates ahead and had one of our guest wait for over 15 minutes for their plate the whole experience was horrible bad service the salad bar was disgusting I I would not return back to this place after this experience I spent $187 and half of the people there just left their food I don't see any return I just know not to go back read more

I was super duper excited to come here cuz we were sooo hungry and to find out the chicken wings are back! We were sooo happy until... I FOUND HAIR BURIED INSIDE MY PASTA. omg gross i completely lost my appetite... I just told the waitress to take the plate away and she came back with a coupon for my next visit. It will take some time to get rid of the thoughts of hair in my food ever again. I am so grossed out!! read more

I went here for my mom's birthday and it was not great. Let's start with the food. The steak is too chewy and flavorless, the ice cream machine was broken and the only flavor they had was chocolate which was very runny and watery. Now let's talk about service. The service was great overall but, it was very busy and so most of the time they'd ignored you and they had no napkins. I asked for a free desert since it was mom mom's birthday and they said they would bring it but, they took so long and never did. Finally, let's talk about the ambiance. It was very clean overall but, the bathrooms were dirty and the floors very wet. I almost slipped! Anyway, other than that it was a pretty great experience! Just not the greatest. read more

This place is terrible. I don't like leaving bad reviews but it's not worth coming here. The food isn't good and it's over priced, I've eaten better from a hospital cafeteria. My wife's "Grilled Salmon" was finished cooking in a dirty deep fryer, and the fries tasted like the churros made just before them. While the service wasn't expected to be great, the 2 people roaming the dining room barely came by and had to be flagged down to get any thing. Biggest waste of $75.00, if you're going to spend your money going out, consider anywhere else. If could leave less than 1 star, I would. read more

We typically order a pound of shrimp and mussels, along with rice and fried fish. Today, the shrimp seemed noticeably smaller than usual, and I felt like the sauce didn't really penetrate the shrimp. I had to dip the shrimp into the sauce to get enough flavor. The fried fish, however, was surprisingly good--crispy, flavorful, and probably my favorite part of the meal today. Unfortunately, what really disappointed me was something I noticed while we were dining. One of the employees was doing side work and folding the gloves provided to customers with her bare hands. She had nail polish on, and her nails appeared untrimmed. These are the same gloves customers use to handle and dip food, so seeing them handled this way raised some serious hygiene concerns for me. I understand that employees have various side tasks to complete, but food-contact items like these gloves should be handled in a way that prevents contamination. It was honestly pretty gross to see and took away from the overall experience. I've always enjoyed coming here, so I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reviews proper food-safety and glove-handling procedures with the staff.

They have a small lot in the back and you can park against their fence but over the weekend it's almost impossible. There is street parking but also a little hard if you want to park directly nearby. I parked about 1.5 blocks away on the next street parallel to the restaurant. The naked lobster roll is one of my favorites because you can really taste the meatiness of the lobster. You can tell it is fresh in every way with the buttery brioche bread. The tray comes loaded with chips and a side of Cole slaw. If you come with friends, I recommend getting a bowl of the lobster soup to share. Dipping the chips into the soup is chef's kiss! If you are a smaller party, you can always get the 1/2 lobster roll and cup of soup. But the better deal is to get the soup to share on the side since the lobster roll is $39 vs the 1/2 lobster roll and cup of soup is $37. If choosing between the which lobster roll to get, I opt for the naked roll because of the freshness and it is not as heavy. The dressed lobster roll has a good amount of flavor and pairs well with the bread, it's a little heavier because of the mayo and butter brioche bread. They don't use a ton of mayo in it so it's not as bad as you may think. I've had the twin tails in the past and I can definitely say it was very easy to get the lobster out. Sometimes some places make it more difficult and people don't want to really dig in with their hands. Safe to say it was very easy to eat. Over the years, I've seen the price go up with inflation unfortunately. So I definitely still come but as a little treat to myself or if I were to come celebrate a special occasion.

Parking can be tough as it's in a residential area of DC with most of the parking being residential. So you might need to walk! Definitely worth a try if you're visiting the pier. It's definitely on the pricier side but you are getting what you paid for. I do wish that they automatically offered the supposedly complimentary bread to each table as they sat down. We saw that there was a basket of bread to the side of the aisle but weren't sure if it only came with certain dishes.

If I could give no stars I would. BUT only because a few of the employees that are nice maybe more like the managers and two of the waiters me and my family know are nice, these two stars are for them. However, this place needs a lot better and new training system. Meaning they need to be trained on customer service. And what's sad is that, that ability should be second nature to you but it's not here with these employees. They're just straight up rude. Even the cashiers. Yes I am knockin y'all down too. And yes I do work with clients and I know how it is, but I don't ever treat my clients the way these fools treat their customers. Please be mindful to the people that are willing to pay to eat at your restaurant and provide pay in your damn paychecks. If it wasn't for any of your customers to be coming in for your cheap food, you guys wouldn't have anything in your pockets. And lastly, One of the damn waiters apparently did not want to assist us, clearly he was assisting everyone else that was not Asian. And I was observing every move he was doing. Did not ask if we were doing okay, did not fill our water, did not ask for any napkins. We had to struggle finding a waiter to assist us. I had a delightful dining experience at Sizzler in Colma, and I'm inclined to give it a solid four stars. The real hidden gem here is the salad bar, which is an absolute steal at just $14. It's an all-in-one package that's hard to beat, especially in the Bay Area where dining can often be pricey. Oh, the irony of naming a restaurant "Sizzler" when my experience was anything but sizzling! With high hopes for a perfect steak dinner, I sauntered in, but instead of a pleasant evening, I got a culinary tragedy. The ambiance was nothing spectacular, but I held on to the hope that the food would salvage the evening. Alas! My steak arrived, and it was a dismal sight. I had requested a medium-rare steak, expecting a beautifully seared piece, tender and juicy in the middle, but I was served a piece of leather, overcooked and devoid of any juices. It was a cruel joke played on my taste buds, leaving them yearning for the flavor that should have been. To add insult to injury, the staff seemed unbothered by my plight. My attempts to address the issue felt like talking to the walls. The indifference and lack of urgency displayed were the final nails in the coffin of what was supposed to be a delightful dining experience. I recently went to Sizzler in Colma for dinner and was disappointed to find out that they did not allow us to bring in outside wine to celebrate a special occasion. Despite this, the service from our server Lomando was great. However, it was challenging to find a clean table as many had not yet been cleared. I ordered the ribeye and the New York strip, and both steaks came out just as we had remembered them--delicious and perfectly cooked. The cheese toast, as always, was a highlight and keeps us coming back. The salad bar was okay, but they were out of chicken wings for some reason. Additionally, the service could have been a bit faster in picking up my ticket because I think my food might have been waiting for a while before it arrived. Overall, the food was delicious, but I wish the service was faster and the tables were cleaner. I'm giving this review in the hopes of coming back and giving a higher rating in the future. read more

Me and my wife ate at the Sizzler Steak last night, We have not eaten here for a long time and was happy to see it was still in existence. Located next to the Target Store. It was virtually empty when we arrived in early evening. I ordered the 8 oz sirloin steak and baked potato along with a drink, wife got the all you can eat salad bar. The waitress who rang up the bill was very nice and gave us the senior discount- so for the both of us we were charged about $31.00. When were served by a very nice waiter, he gave us extra plates and toast. I took advantage of the plate and made myself a salad. They have a very good salad bar here with lots of choices. Cannot go wrong with the salad bar! No complaints at all about this Sizzler. We will return! read more

I would recommend the endless salad bar more than anything else on the menu, It is a good value for your dollar, comes with a fountain drink, or coffee or tea. The salad selection is OK and they do put out and replace the salad options. You also have the option of soup, usually clam chowder is my favorite but they did not replace the chowder when it ran out. There are chicken wings, but you must wait till they bring them out, or they are gone in a heartbeat. They offer self serve taco and pasta but not recommended. Ate here on a Saturday evening and we got lucky in that the timing was perfect and did not have to wait in line. I had the 8 oz sirloin steak served with baked potato (butter, sour cream) and a "All You Can Eat Salad" for extra $6.95. Had a Corona along with that. Wife and boy had the Salad Bars which were not too bad. Can't mess up the salad bar to bad which also includes choice of soups, fried food options, taco bar, and ice cream. My daughter and I enjoyed the French dip and Rueben sandwiches with fries, both were tasty, their fries were perfect. The restaurant is clean, the service we receive from Flor our server was above expectations and extremely professional, she was knowledgeable and answer our questions with ease. We were there for dinner, but also looking for a venue for my eldest daughter's baby shower and we found it! We hope to connect with the owner soon to set the date, menu and start planning.

I walked back up to the counter just to tell him how much I appreciated it because it tasted exactly like the sandwiches Fred the owner used to make when the shop first opened. It reminded me that businesses like this become institutions because of people like Rick.
