We were traveling through and decided to relish in a a nostalgic meal. There is a menu you can order from , of which includes an all You can eat salad bar. Unless you are going to load up on mostly salad, the other items, such as the chicken, pasta, and fruit get much to be desired. I had the salmon and the seasoning on top was flavorful but very salty. The steak was also very bland. Our server was very attentive, however.

After a long drive from CA to AZ we were hungry and passed by this Sizzler. Overall it was a great experience. When you enter there's a variety of menu boards that shows the different options of entrees. We chose the unlimited salad bar which cost $17.99. If you are with seniors it cost $16.99 and they get a free drink. We also got their rib eye steak 14oz with a side of mashed potato's and it was as $28.99. If you add in a salad bar it cost an extra $7.99. With an entree you get unlimited cheese toast! Yippee! Overall good experience. Fresh salad (salad components or premade salad) and hot foods such as chicken wings, mini tacos, mini corn dogs, meatballs, and various soups (clam chowder, chicken soup, and cheddar broccoli soup). Best part was their desserts which included soft serve and strawberry and pound cake. The only bad thing was that the pound cake was rock hard and inedible. Our waitress Demi was superb and gave great service. She brought our unlimited drink refills and even got our mom a coffee with a side of soft serve to make her own affogato! Indoor ambiance is cozy and welcoming. Bright and large dining area.

First time trying Sizzler and it was pretty good. The restaurant was clean. You walk in and order at the counter and then have a seat. A server then brings you your drinks, toast and your food when it's ready. I went with the steak and chicken with fries. Was a bit pricey but not bad. I didn't order a salad but they have a salad bar in the restaurant as well. Was a great experience.

We had the best service while reliving our 90s childhoods. Matthew was friendly and helpful, checked in and made sure we had everything we needed. He even grabbed us extra waters at the end of our meal and made sure we were well hydrated after a long day. The lady at the salad bar was regularly refilling.

Food was mediocre. Lots of great unlimited deals on different foods, though! Plenty of options at the salad bar.

We were craving a good old school, salad bar and found it here! Great selection, nice and fresh. Wish there was one close to our home.

Many of the comments here are spot on, good and bad. Don't expect too much variety from the salad bar though.

He is 6'20" and what a wonderful gentleman He is studying at NAU and I wish him nothing but the best He was top-notch. He suggested what I should order and everything was great. I had the deep fried mushrooms which I'm addicted to, and they hit the spot. Then I had the steak which they had a special and it was cooked to perfection Jackson has a great voice and all those kids did a fantastic job of singing I really enjoyed myself Unfortunately, this post is a little bit late cause I was there in January. I hope Jackson is still there if you go and you get seated ask for Jackson he is a pleasure and just a wonderful, wonderful man. I wish him nothing but the best and he's the reason I come back.

Somewhere along the line, we missed the boat. I ordered the Lumberyard mac & cheese and added pulled chicken and roasted poblanos. My goodness it was a lot of food. The mac & cheese was good, not southern good, but still good. The poblanos were a perfect addition but the chicken was drowned in a cloyingly sweet BBQ sauce. I definitely wouldn't order the chicken again. The hubs had the Santa Maria tri tip. The meat was tough. Quite a few pieces too tough to even chew. Luckily, my meal was huge so he had that to fill up on. I saw the 32 oz cocktails and the former party girl in me immediately kicked in. I think my husband saw the look in my eyes. Maybe the aura around me and put a kabosh on it immediately. I ended up with a 16 oz, still large but that inner 22 years old was disappointed. 32 oz and you should be stumbling down San Fransisco. 16 oz should have at least brought a big 'ol grin. But alas, I couldn't even taste the alcohol. That inner party girl didn't let out that big 'ol grin. (That's ok. The tolerance of 22 year old me has faded through the years). Enough digression, would we come back? Yes, I think it's worth a second shot. We would, however, try something different.

The restaurant itself was clean and had a stylish modern-meets-vintage vibe that made the atmosphere feel both cozy and upscale. Their cocktail menu was especially unique. I ordered the Vendetta Ride, and it was easily one of my favorite drinks of the night: light, slightly sweet, and finished with just the right kick. I absolutely loved it. The menu features creative contemporary American cuisine with an emphasis on sharing plates, which made the experience even more fun. We ordered two appetizers, two mains, and a dessert, and overall everything was excellent. My only critique would be the Duck Taquitos. The duck flavor was not there, and the mesquite mole sauce leaned too sweet for my taste. Aside from that, every dish impressed us. Overall, it was a fantastic meal and a great dining experience. I would highly recommend this spot if you're in Flagstaff!

Hospitality matters to me just as much as what's on the plate because great restaurants don't just serve meals; they create memories. Unfortunately, Shift became one I'll never forget for the wrong reasons. Our day couldn't have been further from what the staff assumed. We spent the morning hiking, went back to rest, explored a local bookstore, grabbed ice cream, and walked to our dinner reservation. Not one alcoholic drink had been consumed by anyone in our group the entire day. Not one. We also had a child with us. The only conversation we had with the host before being seated was asking whether it was okay that we had arrived about twenty minutes early for our reservation. We were polite, excited, and looking forward to dinner. Then my husband ordered a beer. The waitress immediately refused because she claimed the hostess believed my husbands speech and mannerisms meant he was intoxicated. Read that again. A guest who had consumed zero alcohol all day was judged to be intoxicated. I understand the responsibility restaurants have. If someone is genuinely impaired, absolutely don't serve them. Every responsible restaurant should protect its guests and its liquor license. But there is an equally important responsibility that seems to have been forgotten: making sure your judgment is actually right before labeling someone. There was no bar crawl. No cocktails beforehand. No wine tasting. No brewery stop. No hidden drinks. There wasn't even one drink. We left feeling embarrassed, confused, and honestly caught off guard. Not because a beer was refused, but because a person was reduced to an assumption based solely on how they naturally presented themselves. Here's what makes the experience even harder to understand. After leaving Shift, we walked to Atria, where we remained for approximately two hours. We talked, enjoyed ourselves, and spent the evening there without issue. If someone in our party had truly been intoxicated wouldn't that have been obvious there as well? It wasn't. Food can be good. Cocktails can be creative. Service can be polished. None of that matters if hospitality disappears the moment someone doesn't fit your expectation of what a guest "should" look or sound like. Maybe perhaps because we weren't locals we seemed off ? To anyone considering Shift, especially if you're traveling with someone whose speech, mannerisms, or disability could be misunderstood, know that this was our experience. I hope the restaurant reflects on what happened and asks itself a difficult question: How many guests have we mistaken for being intoxicated when, in reality, they simply communicated differently? Because that's not just a missed beer. That's a missed opportunity to treat someone with dignity. I came to Flagstaff excited to discover one of its most " creative" restaurants. Instead, I left wondering how quickly a restaurant built on hospitality could make a guest feel so unwelcome. Simply , because my husband is a restaurant manager in Las Vegas, who has managed restaurants like Yellowtail, Herbs&Rye, Gjelina, and Edo we left out of respect for the industry. However, we should have got our deposit automatically refunded. Next time, take the time. Take the time to care. If a staff member is under this assumption, management intervene not to just follow said assumption and repeat what she said, but to hold an actual conversation with your guest, to evaluate , to observe, to understand. I promise you, that would change so many things for you.
