OMG the nostalgia of it all! Sizzler is a rare find these days in AZ, so if I stumble upon one, I am eating there. The thing that always weirded me out about Sizzler (including this location) is that if you use a cc/debit card to pay, then you tip before you even sit down. Weird, huh? The food at the salad bar was old and dried up. The mac n cheese was clumped together. All soups had a thin film across the top cuz they've sat for a while. The chicken wings were a bit dry and extra crunchy. Taco meat was sitting in grease. I think I may skip out on the salad bar at this location if I ever come back. My steak, cheese toast & rice pilaf was perfect. Steak was cooked as I ordered it (medium). The server was nice. She got me iced tea refills when I needed. She was grateful for her tip (given beforehand, so maybe that's why she was extra nice???). I would eat here again, but I would think twice about getting salad bar. read more

My wife had wanted to try the sizzler since she saw Anthony Bourdain go there on his show. We don't have one near us so we were both excited to see one near our hotel in Flagstaff We headed straight there after checking in to our hotel. You order at the counter so we got the ribeye and the fried shrimp plate. We both added salad bar and I got a beer. You pick your spot to sit, and then we headed to the salad bar. It's a wild mix of everything from tacos to spaghetti and everything in between. Salad was good, fresh and plenty. I grabbed a wing and some fruit as well as a bowl of clam chowder Our server came over and brought my beer. She was pleasant and efficient. Clam chowder was awful, tasted like flour. I haven't been to Sizzler in a long time and was honestly excited to go back -- but it ended up being a huge disappointment. We came in around 7pm on a Friday, expecting the hot bar to be fresh and fully stocked. Unfortunately, that was not the case at all. If you're counting on the hot bar as your entrée, don't. The bar looked crusted over and neglected. I wouldn't have felt comfortable feeding that food to my kids. I watched as staff started switching out trays, hoping fresh food would improve things, but each new item they brought out was either cold (corn fritters) or overcooked (mini tacos). The utensils for the beans and cheese were in rough shape and clearly needed to be changed and monitored -- everything was cooked on and messy. I really wish I had taken a picture because the condition of that hot bar was pretty shocking. The salad bar was well stocked, and our server was nice and doing her best, which I appreciated. But if that's what the front-of-house hot bar looks like, it makes me nervous about what the back looks like. We ended up just having a bowl of soup and getting our money back. I'm know these guys are trying, but this had to be the toughest steak I ever had. Lettuce at the salad bar had a nice smashed bug on it. If ya want a good steak, try another place .this used to be a reasonable place to go, but two meals with a salad bar and drinks (all separate) , it was about $75.00. Cheaper and better at Outback or even better at Texas Roadhouse, but I don't know if they have these in Flag. I love Sizzler, and my family and I usually eat at one when we can on our road trips. On 6/26/2026 we went in. There was nobody in front of us, and we could see they were grossly understaffed. The 2 young employees were cleaning tables, filling beverages, and doing their best to ignore us. After 10 minutes of being completely ignored, we took our business across the street to Dennys, where we were immediately met with a smile and welcome. I love Sizzler, but not this one. After a long drive from CA to AZ we were hungry and passed by this Sizzler. Overall it was a great experience. When you enter there's a variety of menu boards that shows the different options of entrees. We chose the unlimited salad bar which cost $17.99. If you are with seniors it cost $16.99 and they get a free drink. We also got their rib eye steak 14oz with a side of mashed potato's and it was as $28.99. If you add in a salad bar it cost an extra $7.99. With an entree you get unlimited cheese toast! Yippee! Overall good experience. Fresh salad (salad components or premade salad) and hot foods such as chicken wings, mini tacos, mini corn dogs, meatballs, and various soups (clam chowder, chicken soup, and cheddar broccoli soup). Best part was their desserts which included soft serve and strawberry and pound cake. The only bad thing was that the pound cake was rock hard and inedible. First time trying Sizzler and it was pretty good. The restaurant was clean. You walk in and order at the counter and then have a seat. A server then brings you your drinks, toast and your food when it's ready. I went with the steak and chicken with fries. Was a bit pricey but not bad. Dear Sizzler franchise, Hubs & I stop here frequently on our way to UT. It boggles my mind how many people are always eating here, yet your salad bar and your hot food bar are always empty. Lettuce bowls lay unfilled, clam chowder (most popular soup) down to the bare bones, chicken wings burnt, potatoes overcooked, choice of cold salads are nil because they are empty. Now don't get me wrong - back in its heyday Sizzler was a great family place. But, I think for my $40 (2x Senior Salad bar), this will be our last visit to this particular restaurant. On a side note, the cashier (maybe manager) is not the most friendly. Sizzler franchise - you might want to step up. read more

Sizzler used to be in every town in the 1970s-80s and eventually all but disappeared. But, alas, Flagstaff has one, and it was really good. Recently renovated and very clean. Service and staff very friendly and attentive. The unlimited salad bar is the way to go. Also get there early/ soon after they open when everything's fresh - your experience may not be the same on a Friday at 7pm. Very disappointing experience. The place was extremely dirty -- for every ten plates, you might find one that was actually clean, and the same went for the spoons. The buffet was rarely filled. The main dishes took forever to arrive, and when they finally did, they were cold and honestly not very good. On top of that, the service was slow and unhelpful. The restaurant was clean, and the service was good at the counter, and when we were greeted at the table. After our food was delivered, we didn't see our server until I looked around to ask for a to go container. Food: Steak and AYCE Shrimp Complimemtary Cheese Toast The toast is like how I remembered it, and the steak and AYCE shrimp was satisfying. When I grew up going to Sizzler was a family treat as we mostly ate at home for most of our meals so it brings up some childhood memories eating here again. It's been hit or miss when we dine here. Sometimes the buffet selections are fresh and well stocked while other times it looks like the food has been sitting out for a while or the item is out. The entrees we get have all been pretty good and decent quality. We usually stick to the steak or burgers. The signs say "free unlimited garlic bread." We weren't offered any. We had to ask for it. We got two pieces. (The waiter acted like we were a bother.) My steak was tough, with more fat than a Weight Watchers meeting. My wife's Malibu chicken was crunchy (?). The salad bar had no labels so it was difficult to tell what some of the items were. I will start out with saying our waitress was nice. She was the best part of our visit and that isn't really saying too much. We stopped because we had childhood memories of kids going and they are no longer in our area. It was also very busy so we thought the other reviews had to be some wrong. This place is old and needs some fixing up. The real issues though were the food. My daughter ordered a m rare steak that was charred to a crisp. My son's burger was just some cheap discount frozen patty. We got the salad bar and only the salad was edible. Nothing had flavor and it was not very clean. We almost just left it was bad enough but we didn't think they would give us our money back and it was 100 bucks already for 4 people. They have partnered with tour companies to make it look busy.
