It was Saturday afternoon two weeks ago don't know time sorry but there was very little line. Our first time going here and our cashier was just plain rude (Brenda) and just bothered i can tell I was the one with questions about the food, well just 2 questions. if I'm paying a good $20 plus on just myself I want to make sure I did the right choice ordering. My husband notice her rudeness too. Cashier need to be trained agin in menu and ingredients, We ended up waiting a little bit for a table awesome host friendly (Jennifer) and honestly she made me feel more welcomed awesome lady. I gave this sizzlers 4stars just because it brings back child hood memories. I ordered a side salad with my steak and endless shrimp and they forgot to bring it. The manager gave my my money back though with no hassle. I like that they give a basket of cheese bread instead of one piece each because God knows we love that cheese bread. My mom loves Sizzler. Don't judge, Yelpers, you know you secretly love the Sizzler salad bar too. Or, at least that awesome cheese toast. This was the busiest Sizzler I have ever been to. It was packed with all sorts of people, young and old.The service was fantastic and they kept everything on the salad bar fresh, hot, and clean. Nothing to complain about. Just walked in this place before they were open, saw a gentleman that works there eating stuff off the buffet with bare hands. Actually grabbed a handful of sunflower seeds out of container and through them down. He looked at me didn't say a word, just kept grabbing food and eating it. Called the store he must have answered, broken English response he was just checking out everything making sure all was good. That was his response when I told him what I had just seen. The wife and I went back to the Fullerton Sizzler the other evening, and things have definitely changed for the better since my last review. I'd guess all the horror tales on Yelp may have brought the franchise management team out for an inspection and maybe some retraining. First off, "Sgt. Schultz" at the register was uncharacteristically pleasant. I got a nice greeting, a smile, and cheerful repartee. Off to the salad bar. It was immaculate and everything was fresh and well stocked. Thank you for the effort. I had a beautiful salad and absolutely cannot complain at all. The Soup pots were sparkling clean and obviously had been scrubbed to the point of military clean. I doubt the most dedicated Marine recruit on KP could have done a better job. The stainless steel pots and lids looked brand new! The clam chowder was very hot - steamy, in fact. No skin on the top. And it was good - probably canned, but for Sizzler, perfectly fine. The taco and spaghetti bar area was also spic and span and the food copious and fresh. Waitress was not our regular older lady, but tried her best. Our regular waitress, who is excellent, wasn't there when we were there the other night. I'm hoping this is a trend for the future, as I prefer family owned or independent franchise owned operations. Don't like "company store" chain operations as much. If you've been disappointed with the Fullerton Sizzler, give them another try. I'm hoping your experience will be as good as ours. read more

It's been 7 yrs since I've eaten at a Sizzlers. I should have kept the yrs moving. Because of the shrimp commercials lately I decided to go. The greater, cashier/mgr. & waiter were better than the food and the only thing I enjoyed was the broccoli/Cheddar soup. My colossal shrimp was horrible, steak med. rare was hard to cut & chewy & baked potato over cooked. The lettuce at the salad bar was swimming in water. Went for salad bar which is fresh and delicious in Mesa, AZ location. Here in Fullerton it was terrible. Cold zucchini fries, stale taco shells, pathetic watery lettuce. No carrots, broccolli, kidney beans, or decent mixed salads. Toast, toasted on one side only. Servers were nice but it was just angering to waste money. Ruby Tuesday has best salad bar plus 3 cooked sides to order for 10 bucks. Soup plantation is great too. Don't waste your cash at this location. read more

Worse ever. I watched the help add water to the spaghetti sauce, meatballs, pasta, Nacho cheese and clam chowder soup at lunch. This is by far the worst sizzler in the area!! It is dark and dingy in appearance. The main focus for me is the salad bar and this one is atrocious!! There is very little selection. They don't even have the chocolate mousse that is pretty much a staple. I say drive a little further to La Miranda and go to that location. read more

For $15.99, the steak and shrimp skewers dinner came with a potato choice and 2 pieces of bread. There was a small amount of rice under the shrimp skewers that was good. I could swear... no... I know the steak dinners used to come with a good sized scoop of broccoli/carrot/zucchini steamed vegetable too (not rice). I guess that is why you now have to either purchase a side salad or purchase the buffet along with the dinner to get veggies. I can't justify the extra cost of the buffet just for a large spoonful of veggies. On this last visit the steak was stringy and tough... lots of sawing action to cut it (no, the knife wasn't dull). The loaded baked potato (butter, sour cream, chives, no cheese) came with a scoop of margarine instead of butter. If I had realized that in the beginning, I would have left out the "butter", but I had already put it into the potato. The shrimp on the skewers were good though, as was the bread. The shrimp came with clarified butter, which I could have used in the potato instead. A couple of lemon wedges would have been nice. Not worth the price in my book. Fortunately, the Classic Burger for $6.99 is good and reasonably priced. Comes with one side. The Wait Staff is very nice and our Waitress was very attentive. Made sure our drinks were refilled. The Manager(?) at the register was pleasant to us also. Our orders came out in a timely way. Our table was clean. Plenty of parking in their private lot. Now for the very unpleasant thing... haven't been here in awhile and unfortunately the bathroom still smells bad and the cleaning solution they use is strong but doesn't cover the odor. I suspect they need to redo or clean out the sewer line. I know that would be a major expense, but something needs to be done about the odor other than trying to mask it with cleaning solution. read more

I know Sizzler is a chain, but this one is special. They were the last to get rid of their Neon sign out front. I have a permanent grudge against Sizzler corporate for making them do this. BRING BACK THE NEON SIGN!!!!!! Not even worth 1 star. Horrible food. The salad bar has gotten worse and worse and I am definitely not coming back here. They cut corners in every aspect from there food and the service. They took out so many items from there salad bar and I've seen better offerings at a school cafeteria. 2 stars cause its the only Sizzler I know of that is still open. They used to be around all over the place. This Sizzler in Fullerton is clean , the salad bar is fresh and also clean and doesnt have food spilled or mixed in with other food. This one is never empty (prob cause its the only one around). Didn't expect too much but loved this place as a kid.....food was even more disappointing then I expected. My salmon was skimpy and dry, my sons ribs were dry although he ate them because he'll eat anything, my other sons burger looked pretty good. I got salad bar add on and everything that was hot at bar had probably been sitting under heat lamp since last time I came here (which was 20 years ago). Guess I am going to join the chorus. Several folks from work go to this Sizzler at lunch because it is close and they can accomodate a big group easily. They also always get the salad bar. I decided to get the steak and pasta with shrimp. BIG MISTAKE. The steak was unchewable, although I tried to get through about 1/2 of it. When the person working the dining room, not to be confused with a waitress, came to clear the plates, she asked if I would like a box for my steak. I told her, "no, it was terrible. The pasta was good though". Perfect time for a customer service save, right? Not a word. She picked up the plates and walked away, in total silence. Lesson learned. read more

UNTIL when we went to pay we had some discrepancies with our bill, really no big deal but the "owner/ manager" who was cashing us out started yelling at our waitress in front of us telling her she needs to pay more attention before telling her "get out of here" (hand gesture included) the way he was mistreating her in front of his customers was horrible. i am completely livid, my stomach is in a knot and can't believe he would treat someone so horribly. i will be looking into how to further elevate the situation because i am in complete shock of what just happened! read more

We just came from the restaurant. We had a coupon purchased from the Boy Scouts of America for 10% off our bill--good through today. The manager, I guess, looked at it and refused to honor it. Said we were already getting a discount by ordering from the senior menu. My husband is 86 and I am 80. We like to support children's activities and we've been using several coupons for various restaurants and businesses that we purchased from the Boy Scouts (for the year 2019). Other restaurants that honored them are Ruby's, Senor Campos, etc. plus Big 5 and a lot more. This manager was terribly rude when he spoke to us and said that we were already getting a discount because of the senior menu.($12 plus tax.) He never even said sorry, just walked away. I don't like to do business with someone that doesn't honor their own company coupons!! Our steak, too, was so tough we could hardly cut it. The wait staff was wonderful and that was the only thing we liked. The two of us will not ever be returning. They don't deserve repeat business. They have lost our business for good. read more

They have a terrific special right now on Steak & Lobster for $14.99, you know me I can't turn down steak & lobster anywhere. This is not the closest Sizzler to our house, the one in La Mirada has been deemed unedible by my buddy, she got food poisoning there. This place is nice and clean, the salad bar is pretty tidy, the service is good. For the price you pay and the type of food you get, it's up to par so I'm not expecting fine dining and $20 plates of food, I don't have a problem with Sizzler. If you're wondering how the Steak & Lobster at $14.99 stacks up... well, it's very good! The steak is a good size and cooked to a perfect medium rare just like I asked, the lobster size varies but it's got a wonderful briny taste, dip it in the clarified butter... Oh Boy! This is one of the last great traditional family Sizzler Steak Houses left. I'd give this one five stars but the service is inconsistent. Some of the staff have been here for the 20 years I've been coming here and are GREAT....some of the filler staff won't give you anything unless you walk up and ask. This one has some great pictures of Sizzler from many years ago. Now that Claim Jumper has given up their stake in salad bars, this is also one of the last great salad bars left. My wife and I visited this location a few days ago. We arrived around 8pm, so it wasn't crowded. I ordered a meal and a pass at the salad bar and she ordered only the salad bar. The food was good, but the dish I ordered took almost 20 minutes to be delivered. By that time we had already finished our first pass at the salad bar. Service was good. The waitress who worked our table kept us supplied with drinks and clean plates. The selections at the salad bar could have benefited from a little freshening and some new dishes. From what I can recall the selections at the salad bar were the same items they had the last time we were there. read more

I come here about once every couple months, maybe 6 times a year. The menu has been updated but you can still get an old favorite like the bacon wrapped teriyaki filet dish. We always come early and get the salad bar as well. It's a nice fresh salad bar with lots of toppings, dressings, fruit, various salad dishes. There's also hot food like spaghetti, chicken wings, onion rings, tacos. And some decent desert mini milk cakes, ice cream, and two hot cobbler dishes. It fills up fast on the weekends and they also have a large room they rent out for parties or large club meetings. Lots of families come in and old people too. If i could give this place a negative zero I would ! Everything was great until I walked in . The lady at the front had a nerve to treat my elderly mother as if she was slow and illiterate !!!!! My mom Requested the ribblets that was being promoted outside that says 10.99 she had the audacity to question my mom and say which one ? There's three so which one in the most rudest voice as she points to the sign as if it was the biggest bother for her to nicely mention if you would like to upgrade there's other dishes . No she had to be rude and treat my mom as if her business wasn't wanted and rushed . We don't even live out here but we came because we love sizzler and wanted to try another one. NEVER again! If rather go to the one in WEST COVINA where I live near and be treated with respect. I decided not to eat she ruined my appetite!!!! Management needs to fix this ! I eat here once a week and always enjoy the food and service. Michele is a great server who has been working there for a long time. She is friendly and helpful. Michele and the rest of the staff always make my visit enjoyable. Be sure to check out their great salad bar which also has other foods. I also like the Herb Chicken entrée. read more

Very disappointed, this place used to be good. The service was bad, had to keep asking for things. Eventually the water stopped, new plates for salad bar also stopped around 830 they started closing the salad bar without saying last call for food. It wasn't till I walked out that I notice the sign said they closed at 9pm. I won't be back in the near future. Ps I thought it was at Denny's. read more
