Service was just okay. We did have to catch the waiter's attention to get our water refilled. Additionally, I personally felt that there was some condescending attitude from our waiter. There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant which is often full. We usually park in the free multi-story parking garage just east of Harbor and Wilshire. It is a short one block walk to High Horse from there. As the name suggests, the décor is very western themed with lots of wood, cowboy hats and boots, wagon wheels, lassos, saddles, taxidermy, etc. Seating options include booths, high top tables, and at the bar. They have happy hour Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm with food and drink specials. We started out with the pickle fries ($12) which were excellent. The pickle slice thickness to batter ratio was perfect, and they were served with a side of ranch. My first cocktail was The Smoking Gun (bacon washed Elijah Craig bourbon, maple syrup, angostura bitters, orange bitters, $18). It is smoked tableside and was a healthy pour. The bacon and maple flavor was very light, but it was very smooth. Her first cocktail was What Would Dolly Do? (Hornitos plata tequila, Los Sundays jalapeno tequila, Del Maguey peubla mezcal, simple syrup, lime, pineapple, grapefruit, $16). It was balanced with good jalapeno flavor and pineapple below with a light smokiness. For my entrée, I had the half slab of baby back rips ribs ($28) with coleslaw and fries. The plate arrived steaming hot and I was impressed with the portion of ribs. There were seven meaty ribs that were very flavorful and the BBQ sauce was good. The fries were crisp and seasoned, and the coleslaw was good too. She had the Up The Creek spice rubbed cedar-plank salmon ($26) with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The portion of salmon was good and it was flavorful. The asparagus was cooked well, but they were over salted. She also enjoyed the potatoes. My second cocktail was the Skinny Dipper (Tito's vodka, St. Germain, aloe vera water, watermelon, lime, $15). This drink was light and refreshing, with floral notes, and watermelon and lime standing out. It also had a great looking color. Her second cocktail was Ladies Love Outlaws (rose petal infused Ketel One vodka, St. Germain, simple syrup, grapefruit, lemon, rose wine, $16). This was also light with floral notes, and had good grapefruit flavor. It was very lively at 6:30pm on a Thursday evening. We left a little after 8pm, and the place was packed as they have line dancing. There was a big crowd of at least twenty people dancing in front of the restaurant and having a great time. The service was good, and our server was very friendly. The food and drinks were great, and I think they were a pretty good value for the price.

Yet, he can have his bouncers allow a man, who is clearly blacked out, into their bar. Then proceed to let that man roam around the bar as if he didn't just fall onto us. I brought up this point to the manger and he told me I was disrespecting him. We did not receive any form compensation nor an apology. I don't care what type of setting we were in, a manager needs to have some sort of customer service skills. Very clear management did not care about our safety.

OMG worst experience ever :( husband and I went to dinner this evening both ordered New York Strip steak dinner. Our meals came out, husband had a sirloin steak, thin. My beautiful New York steak came out looking bomb! So husband complained to waitress, she said he ordered butterfly well done, that's why the steak is so thin . So husband took plate to chef and explained it wasn't the same steak. Chef was a jerk, so husband said never mind he didn't want to eat at all, I begin to eat my beautiful steak, and ugh!! Can the night get any worse?!!!! Pink inside, don't want to complain, but ugh! $60 dinner and no one is happy. So we call the manager over and show him my well done steak, he offers to have the cook out it back on the grill. The steak has completely burned ends, so that won't help. We just say, no thanks and we will take it home to the dog, don't want our money back just let the cook know he doesn't know how to cook steak! Now I have to come home and cook dinner! I'm so upset :( never again will I go to the sizzler in Fullerton. The manager should have stepped up read more

I stopped by the Sizzler in Fullerton for a quick dinner and ordered the STEAK & UNLIMITED CRISPY SHRIMP, and overall, it was a satisfying experience! The steak was cooked to order (medium rare for me), and it had a nice sear with a good amount of flavor. It wasn't the most tender steak I've had, but for the price point, it was solid. The crispy shrimp was the star of the meal--perfectly fried, not greasy, and the fact that it's unlimited? Big win! They kept them coming without much of a wait, and the shrimp were consistently fresh and crunchy. The service was friendly and efficient. My server checked in regularly and made sure my plate of shrimp stayed full. The salad bar was also well-stocked and fresh, which was a nice bonus. The atmosphere is casual, and while it's not a fine dining spot, it's a great place for a laid-back meal. I was there last Sunday with a big group for a family reunion. They set us up in their banquet room with table cover and flowers. Wow that was very nice touch by the manager. I had the steak and shrimp. Steak was done perfect . Medium the way I like it. Very well seasoned and juicy. Salad bar was very fresh and all containers were full of food and well maintained. I am not much of a pork eater but I strongly suggest the Carnot meat in the salad bar. I have changed my idea about pork!! Well this sizzler was very clean and fresh and the whole family of 22 enjoyed the restaurant. Have to say the ice cream and desert bar was good ending to the feast. We always have a great time at Sizzler. This Sizzler is always hopping. The weight staff is consistent, reliable and friendly. We especially like Jenny! I've been coming to sizzler since I was a little girl. I actually worked several years at Sizzler back in the 80s during my college time. I love the nostalgia of having the same meals offered and also new items. You can't go wrong with Malibu chicken! The sizzler stays relevant by having tons of regulars visiting as well as hosting people in their banquet room. The staffing managers are efficient at keeping the lines flowing and keeping the solid bar fresh. read more

COVID has closed down so many of my favorite business but I'm super happy this sizzler has remained open. I have been coming here for the past 7 years with my parents and we have always had a great experience. I also run a corvette car club that meets once a month and Ray, the original owner, has always provided the best service and accommodations in the banquet hall. The staff there is also very professional and great with getting refills without us asking. Very happy they were able to set up outdoor seating arrangements. read more

I was excited to see that Sizzlers was still around. I've always been a huge fan of Sizzlers so it was great to be able to dine at one again. The food was decent and the salad bar was fresh. It is especially good when you have kids. The food is good for the price. The quality isn't the best but the value is good with the bottomless refills. Our first original order of food came out rather quick. Everyone's food came out at the same time and it was hot. We asked for extra sauces that didn't come out with our food and had to wait till we got our servers attention about 10 minutes later. Our second order of fries came out fairly quickly as we only ordered one at the time. Then our third orders of two fries, coleslaw, and drinks never came. After waiting for quite a long time the table next to us was getting there food and my mother just simple raised her hand and said "excuse me". As soon as she was able to put her hand down the server named CHRIS lashed out "I HAVE STUFF TO DO TOO, IT'S NOT MY TABLE" and he just walked off. His attitude was defensive and unprofessional. Even the tables next to us had that looked on their faces. My wife then went to ask for the manager and spoke to her about the situation. The manager listened and seemed sincere and told us that she would come visit our table in a bit but she never came by. We never got an apology from Chris or the manager. All we got from the manager (Joyce) is that she said she'll "talk" to Chris. We are easy going people and was very patient. We have worked in the restaurant industry and understand how hard it can be dealing with customers and the demands when it gets busy. We would've been fine if Chris took the professional approach and simply apologized and said that he would get us help instead of lashing out and talking to us like trash. This location needs some major retraining in customer service and procedures.

What really stands out to me is the way the meat is seasoned here; there are many locations in this area where the meat tastes a bit bland, but here, it's that nostalgic, delicious taste when I have first come to love in SB county. Charbroiled meat patties seasoned to perfection with melty cheese and a toasted bun with a slew of fresh veggies.

She made sure to check in with us every time she walked by and made sure we always had drink, soup and salad refills. The manager also came by to check in with us once he heard we had an allergy at the table.
