I can completely understand why the reviews for this place are so mixed.. my review comes down to one huge contributing factor, our waitress Sonia. If we'd had anyone else I doubt our night would have been salvageable. Walking in we weren't greeted... Finally someone came to the register and we started telling her our order while she typed into the machine (thought she was taking our order, she wasn't...) until she printed two receipts, swiped a card and handed it to a nearby waitress.. then turned and asked us what we wanted to order. Wow. The person seating us was a vast improvement, warm and friendly, making faces at my toddler to get a reaction. She seated us, wiped down the table, and brought a high chair quick as could be. She even explained that our server would be a couple mins since it was so busy. Our server came, obviously very busy and possibly a little overwhelmed. She apologized sincerely for the wait and let us know that she would be right back with our drinks and bread. Even though the restaurant was clearly packed we never once had an issue where we were struggling to find her or trying to flag her down. She came by when needed with a smile and to inquire how we were. Our drinks were never empty. She even took the time to answer some of my silly questions about what's in their sauce since my son was eating it with a spoon. End of dinner comes... Walked my son over to the dessert bar for his end of the night treat and there were no bowls.. I peeked around the corner to where the kitchen puts food out and used my nicest "Excuse me!" at the first passing waitress. She gave me a look, including a full on eye roll making it clear that I was already inconveniencing her from doing her job.. which I thought was serving customers but okay. I let her know that there are no bowls and as I'm asking if they can be brought out she literally turns around and walks away.. if she had been serving us I'm not sure we would have stayed through our entire meal. Aside from tip I wanted to give our waitress a personal thank you before leaving but we didn't see her on our way out. My husband saw her name so I hope I'm spelling it right.. thank you Sonia for taking our night from a negative star all the way up to 4. 6/6/23 Maria was our server! Every time we come she's welcomes us remembers us and takes excellent care of us! She's friendly and kind! She remembers what all we like and always brings it to the table! We were there with my father last night he's 93 years old and they always remember him and are always welcoming to us the steaks we're excellent last night all of our food was prepared well! Traveling back to Las Vegas on Christmas Day left few options for a sit down meal, but the Sizzler in Hesperia was open so we went. The restaurant wash warm, inviting, and clearly not hurting for business! The staff made us feel welcome and 'Merry Christmas!' greetings were exchanged with many smiles. You got the sense that the staff enjoyed being part of the team that runs this particular Sizzler's. Our food was delivered to our table within five minutes of ordering, and it was delicious. The salad bar was plentiful, clean, with many delicious choices. Though located a few miles off I-15, it's worth the extra couple of minutes driving down Main Street to the restaurant. read more

First off, I love writing good reviews. Bad reviews, not so much. I try to look on the bright side because so many people only leave reviews when they're unhappy. I want businesses to succeed, but I don't understand how Sizzler is so busy on the odd occasion I go. I've always felt they were overpriced for what you get. Now it's gotten worse. Yes, I know prices on everything has gone up, but the quality and selection just isn't there. The salad bar is okay, but not worth the money. It's a small selection and the hot foods are almost non existent now. I tried a small side of the spaghetti with marinara sauce and didn't eat it after the first bite. I didn't know something so simple could be bad, but now I do. The macaroni and cheese I paid extra for was lesser quality than boxed, and the serving size was small. The Malibu chicken is now the size and quality of the frozen banquet variety. It's a round patty with half a slice of deli ham and a small processed cheese slice on top. The best thing about the meal was the side of mushrooms I paid extra for. I also didn't appreciate a sign that was posted stating they are adding a surcharge on the check to help them cover the increased labor cost, so that they can afford to pay their employees since the minimum wage has gone up. Number one, don't make it look like the employees are causing you to charge more. That is tacky. It is your choice to raise prices, so do that and leave the employees out of it. Everyone is paying more for products (including your employees) everywhere we go. As customers, we already supplement your employees wages by leaving tips, and judging from the food quality vs price charged, you should have more than enough to cover cost of business without blaming your employees for a price increase. Number two, there are large images on walls throughout the restaurant depicting happy families in various settings. Very 50's Americana based. Problem is that they all appear to be Caucasian with no variations. I'm white and I noticed this, so don't think it's because I'm part of one of the races I'm referencing. Looking around the full restaurant, I saw all colors, shapes, and sizes of people, yet only one type was up on the walls. That shows me how the company views it's customer base. Maybe everything needs to be revisited on the corporate level, as I believe things such as food selection and signage are generated from the top. I don't know if the choice to have notification of the surcharge for employee labor costs came from corporate or local ownership, but that really needs to be addressed as well because it's a bad look and could be seen as contentious. Sadly, because of all of these reasons, I won't be returning to this Sizzler, nor any other. Judging from the fullness of the room, I won't be missed but hopefully my comments will get to the right place and they can improve for their existing customers. read more

The food here is not that bad. I ordered the unlimited shrimp and steak. The steak was basic, the shrimp was so tiny. I was on my 3rd small plate of shrimp and I asked a waiter for more shrimp. Not my waiter, so my waiter literally says that she just brought a plate out. Although I was already finished with it. It shouldnt matter if you just brought one. I am still hungry and you made a scene by saying that out loud for everyone to hear. This made me feel bad about myself. I think she realized that because afterwards she brought me a plate and than asked me if I wanted another one and I said yes. Really bad service. She didnt even check on my table or ask if we were doing ok. Never going to sizzler again. This experience made me feel terrible. read more

Phone rang for awhile before anyone picked up, ordered curbside, was asked to go in on the phone. The ended up coming out, upon opening the 3 meals, this one was the weakest link. We were welcomed by Jessica when we came in. She was very friendly and took great care of me and my grandmother's. When we left we told who we thought was the manager, Jose, that she did a great job. He made some comment about if she did more silverware she would get a raise, kind of felt it was degrading. Didn't appreciate the "management" style. We haven't been to this restaurant for at least 3 years. It was mostly empty. When I got my final bill I knew why. 3 meals, 3 salad bars with the meals and 3 drinks= $108.00. Paid $9.00 for a salad and a small bowl of ice cream. Food was just OK. Had to ask for the bread. STUNNING. read more

I would NOT come back, or suggest this place to a friend. **REVIEW IS LONG, BUT VERY SPECIFIC** TL;DR: 1. Zero customer service 2. Very slow kitchen 3. Poor table service organization 4. Best part of the entire night was that the salad bar had one giant bowl of nothing pieces of crispy iceberg lettuce First, the cashier was RUDE!! She was dealing with my grandmother, who is 93 years old, and NEVER uses her debit card... Hell, she barely uses anything but cash. The cashier was rolling her eyes and sighing; no question she was ready for her shift to be over! They didn't even bring all of the meals out at the same time. I've worked in food service before, and the only time you should split up meal delivery is if there will be a significant delay. Next, my mother and I ordered the 8oz sirloin (cooked to medium) to split. They brought out a well done steak. NO PINK/RED WHATSOEVER!! When I asked for a second plate, I also asked for a new steak. When I explained that this was well done, she argued with me about what a medium streak should look like. Oh, not to mention, the asparagus tasted AWFUL!! It literally tasted like it was marinated in thick mud, then cooked and seasoned with dirt. Finally, after eating most of the steak (but nothing else!!), I asked the waitress for a discount on the ticket just for the asparagus, and maybe a free drink for having to wait so long for our steak to cook for the second time. She must've thought that I wanted the entire meal taken off (which would've been wrong because, as I said, the steak was mostly eastern), because without skipping a beat, she said no. Next thing I know, the manager is at our table (TOTALLY INVADING MY PERSONAL SPACE!!!) asking who has questions. I ASSUMED she meant me, so I explained EVERYTHING... With almost the exact same result. One thing she did that the waitress didn't, was offer me a complementary new side. However, since my family started eating at least 10-15 minutes before us, they were ready to LEAVE! I wish Zero Stars was an option. This location is running a Ghost Kitchen for Wow Bao and we got all excited and ordered some baos and Potstickers today. I don't know who is running their delivery service, but they must not be in their right state of mind. Half of the order was missing and the items that did make it to me were the completely wrong ones. Instead of Mongolian Beef you get BBQ Pork and instead of Teriyaki Chicken you get Cheese Burger. Luckily, Doordash is great about this and refunded me but there goes Dinner.......... read more

Great meal I was so full after lunch. Salad bar was the same as I remembered it when I was younger. Be careful sizzler steak sauce definitely not A1 sauce don't use it if you don't like barbecue sauce. Recommend the restaurant but not the sauce. read more
