First of all it has been a while since I've dine at Sizzler in Manteca. My family experience was excellent eating here at this location. This place had a great ambient feeling. The employee was friendly. And the price of the course was great. Especially when you choose the salad bar. They offer a great variety of choices to select. My family chose this plus the meal selection. But what got me more happy was the service of Whitney ( wait staff ). She was unbelievable. Always checking in on my family's table to make sure we are happy with the food. And to see if we need anything else. After we finished with our food. I quickly commented on Whitney's excellent service. I will definitely come back to this restaurant if Whitney will be again our wait staff. We went out to a early dinner (3:30?) with a friend to Sizzlers in Manteca, CA. From the moment the three of us entered to when we left, the manager, Elena, and her waiter staff impressed us with their attention to detail. The whole restaurant was clean and a place we will revisit many times in the future. We were all especially impressed with the Manager, Elena, she makes this Sizzler's a great place to work with her kindness and the fact that she visits each table to make ensure the customers are pleased with the restaurant, this really said a lot to us. This spot is in a decent location but the food and service could use some work. The steaks are almost always overcooked and the sides are hit or miss. I've received cold and room temperature sides from here multiple times and despite me ordering my steak "medium" I get medium well or well done. I ordered from DoorDash a few times and it's literally a 5 minute drive to my house so I do not fault the driver on getting cold food. My most recent visit was during outdoor dining. There were only 2 other tables (1 table of 3 and 1 table of 4) besides ours (table of 2). We had to keep waiting for our server for lengthy periods of time in between initial greeting, drink order, food order, food delivery, and the bill. When I say we, I am referring to my table and the other tables too. The server "made rounds" at each table then disappeared and delivered items on her next set of rounds. She disappeared for 20+ minutes at a time. What should have been a 45-60 minute dining experience lasted well over two hours. I finally had enough and walked inside and asked for my bill. When they said it would be brought to me I had to insist on getting it right then because I did not want to freeze outside for another 20 minutes. If it was even a little bit busier I would have totally understood and let it slide. But 3 tables at 6 pm on a Tuesday? Come on there is no excuse. Even if you had 1 cook working it shouldn't have taken 20 mins to get 2 lemonades and over 45 mins for plain steaks. read more

Surprisingly good! The one in Modesto isn't great so I was pleasantly surprised at this location. It was very busy but service was still very fast, our servers name was Jorie and she was fast and very friendly! The buffet areas were all kept very clean and fully stocked. Beautiful CLEAN decor, expert wait staff,room temperature was just right, good background music,well lit, spotless bathrooms, and exceptional stellar manager Irene!!!!! The food bar was over the top,well stocked and kept spotless.Our steaks were cooked perfectly and we tried many of the food bar selections as well. All was very flavorful and hot/cold as it should be. Nothing was overly pre salted, and the horseradish was some of the BEST EVER! This is one of the nicer Sizzlers in the area. The restaurant is exceptionally clean, the salad bar well- stocked and the servers courteous and helpful. We saw the manager cleaning up around the salad bar and asking customers if they needed anything. I like the mixing station for the salads as well. read more

My wife and I are retired and we frequent various restaurants each month. We have dined at the Sizzler in Manteca several times since it opened a few years ago. On every visit we found the food to be outstanding. It is always fresh, perfectly prepared, and the portions are plentiful. The salad bar is a real bargain, and the variety of food items, both hot and cold, are exceptional. The service at the restaurant is always friendly, fast and courteous. On our last visit on Christmas Eve, we had a party of seven. Our server, Kaylee was awesome. She was very friendly. She came by our table several times to check on us, to pick up our empty plates, and to refill our drinks. Overall, I score the Sizzler five stars. It is well deserved. read more

Customer Review: June 9, 2019 "Service at its Best!", the Sizzler - Manteca, CA We celebrated a special anniversary today, and to conclude the evening, we decided to patronize a Sizzler Restaurant in Manteca, CA. We had seen some advertising about Sizzler and heard some people talking about going there; but we thought nothing about it, until today. Hence, we thought this would be a good day to give Sizzler a try. Coming down from Lodi, we followed Google Maps. When we finally got to Sizzler, we saw this large, modern, and classy-looking building, along with an American patriotic theme displayed on its wall. As an American, we felt we made the right choice coming to Sizzler. The building couldn't spell out "America" any better. We stood tall, and proud, in the parking lot looking at the American flag painted on the building. Thank you, Sizzler, for displaying our patriotic colors! When we first entered the foyer, (waiting area), we were mesmerized by the vibrant colors of the painting of two cowboys wearing American flag shirts. It made us choke up, and literally want to stand up to salute the flag and recite the pledge. That sign was a powerful statement. In our minds, it symbolizes the core American values Sizzler believe in. When we walked into the actual restaurant, it impacted another Wow! moment for us. We were in awe, as to how beautifully breathtaking this restaurant is. Its decor was simply stunning; suitable to be located in a five-star hotel. The entire restaurant was bustling with happy customers, along with a busy and wonderful staff, working in all capacity, serving the patrons with smiles on their faces. It is rare to see such a positive and vibrant work environment in a restaurant. Needless to say, we must give much credit to Manager Irene Tellez for training such a wonderful staff. Irene is truly someone special; she is people-friendly, warm, and welcoming, and has the ability to interact with and relate with all of her customers (and employees) with positive vibes. When it was finally our turn to place our order, we were greeted with a warm welcome by cashier, Salma R. Since this was our first visit to Sizzler, Salma R. was extremely courteous and patient with us as we weren't accustomed with the ordering routine. However, we soon got the hang of what Sizzler has to offer on their menu after cashier, Angelina, help clarify how the ordering system routine works, menu selection, etc. Angelina was just as friendly as Salma R., and exercised patience with us as we decided what we wanted from the menu. Great job, Angelina, for being a valuable team member who has patience with new customers. Also, in line for recognition is Vanessa and Denis, Vanessa gave us guidance on how the salad bar counter works, and informed us of what selections are available for customers who are into salad bars. Denis was demonstrating excellent service by taking care of friends of ours who were sitting at another table. Denis was charming and has a lot of poise, interacting with customers and keeping a warm smile on her face. Another staff member who is worthy of recognition is Chelly. Chelly brought our first dish to our table, which literally started an avalanche of continued great service throughout the evening. Besides, that, she was literally the first person to serve us at the table, at this Manteca Sizzler. Chelly was super friendly, efficient and sincere. What a wonderful experience, thus far! When we finally settled down in our table and learned the routine of getting up and making our food selections, we received additional service that made our meal even more pleasant. We met server, Whitney Larot, who was a whirlwind, constantly busy, making repeated trips taking away our empty plates and seeing that our needs are met. We observed how hard Whitney worked, literally non-stop. And boy oh boy! We have never seen someone worked as hard and efficiently as Whitney; and maintaining her friendliness and positive demeanor. Wow! Whitney is truly dynamic. With all that said, Whitney should be a trainer, or someone at a much higher capacity. Overall, we must say, it is rare today to see so many young people demonstrate such wonderful work ethics at a single setting. No doubt, Manager Irene Tellez certainly has a talent on selecting a team of wonderful workers who possess so many wonderful and positive qualities, and exhibits what wonderful customer service and teamwork is all about. Kudos to Manager Irene Tellez. Also, Kudos to Salma R., Angelina, Vanessa, Denis, and Whitney Larot (the person who did the most for us). Hoorah! Did we say that the food was also excellent? Just ate here since it just opened recently. Loved the food, had the salad bar which it stepped up from the sizzler I used to go to in Hayward. Had tuna salad, chicken wings, and nachos, our server was very attentive, brought drinks before we had to ask. Pricing is good around 10$ for the salad bar. The iced tea is good also not flavored, nothing worse than ordering ice tea in a restaurant and they bring you some wired passion fruit concoction - please do not change the tea. My wife also had the salad bar far more salad than me she thoroughly enjoyed we got there just after the lunch rush. Restaurant was really clean people working the salad bar were quite attentive cleaning any spills and refilling any item running low. Came here last night for dinner. Party of 6. 4 stars for my plate. My steak was tender and cooked medium well per requested. My baked potato was fresh and piping hot. 2 stars due to following: -Dirty seats with mash potatoes in them. Host didn't even offer to wipe them -When the food came out the servers brought it to the table near us and places one the our plates down. That guest took one of the shrimps and nearly chomped down when they realized they were delivering the food to wrong table. When we requested that plate be replaced because the guest touched food the server asked if we wanted just the shrimp to be replaced or the whole plate?? What kind of question is that?????? Disgusting. -My son ordered the ribs plate with 6 ribs and he received 5. -Our drinks weren't refilled promptly by our servers but servers, from another table. Minus 1 star because they add upgrades without informing you of the up fees. Had to remove them which brought the cost down from $50 to $42 for 2 meals. Don't even bother with trying to order from this Sizzlers location if you are intending to do car-side pick up. They never check to see if anyone is waiting in one of their designated parking spots when you are parked their waiting for them to bring out your order. Now I know why I was order #4 online at the very end of the day since other customers must have received the same treatment and also realized their customer service is so bad. Spend your money elsewhere (like Chili's or Applebee's) where the staff their actually cares enough to bring your order out to your car. Wife and I had a wonderful lunch, salad bar was full of fresh choices, steaks were juicy and flavorful, and for desert the bread pudding with a shot of ice-cream on top was crazy good. My wife's meal was served up hot and cooked to order. Prices might be a bit on the high side for the cooked meals.
