I've dined here before and glad we stopped by. We actually ended up changing our minds. We ordered a few toasts to go and ate It outside. It was so good. Service was fast and good. The only thing for me is that the prices are a bit pricey for a Sizzler. I don't remember what I had in the past but regardless, I know it was good. :) Hey nostalgia moment in my eyes.

We came yesterday at 4:30pm. No one was in line fortunately. Place was quite occupied. Cashier was friendly though. We did have a dirty glass cup. We did have to find our own seating which was : 2 corner booths to accommodate a party of 5 adults, 3 kids and a baby with a high chair. It made our dinner somewhat awkward. Not gonna name anyone even though the server would give us a card normally to review them on Yelp and google. Should we have tipped them first? Tri tip sirloin was tough according to my husband and my mom. Regardless, this is the last restaurant we ate with my pops as a whole family before he passed. Cheese toast was good as usual but menudo was salty. And clam chowder was lackluster . So I'm pretty bummed.

Growing up in the Midwest, places like Sizzler were a treat because who didn't like an all you can eat buffet concept as a kid? Nowadays, the concept isn't as ubiquitous because inflation and generational preferences have taken a toll. There used to be a Sizzler closer to my house before it closed so this Mountain View location in the Imperial Marketplace was the nearest branch. The parking lot was vast because of the nearby home improvement store that was the anchor tenant. I had not stepped inside one of these "family steakhouses" in decades. The layouts were all pretty similar with menu screens and a service counter with multiple registers set up after you walked through a corridor from the entranceway. After ordering and getting a receipt, you picked any open table for seating, of which there were dozens because the capacity was sufficient for well over 100 diners. A server would then come by and take the receipt to the kitchen for a cook to prepare the entree(s). In the meantime, you could help yourself to the buffet stations where soups, salads, sides, fried fare, and ice cream were available. It's not the highest quality food but for an AYCE model, there were plenty of choices for all kinds of palates. I filled a few plates with various items and saved room for soft serve ice cream as dessert. My main dish was an eight-ounce serving of Tri Tip Sirloin. It came with a choice of one side which was mashed potatoes in my case. I had finished about half of the items I picked from the buffet before the steak, potatoes, and complimentary cheese toast were delivered to my table. The meat was cooked more medium than my preference of medium rare. The sirloin was seasoned with quite a bit of black pepper as I could taste the bitterness. The spuds and toast were ordinary as expected. The brownies at the ice cream station were a bonus as the dense chocolate cake was a nice texture and flavor contrast to the vanilla soft serve. I can't consume as much as I could half a lifetime ago so I probably didn't get my money's worth which in this case was over $35. This trip to Sizzler was more about nostalgia and comfort grub versus gourmet dining. I gave a rating between three and four stars for the dining experience.

Here's a Christmas story Years ago, Christmas was about to get canceled flight delay etc. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. The only place open was Sizzler and we all went and we all had the best time so every year at Christmas are thereabouts we go to Sizzler good people on both sides of the menu. Everybody orders, two burgers minimum cut one of the burgers in half and you share it with someone else and we laugh we talk we share we inspire and we get ready for the next year . Sizzler (said in a whisper) never disappoint never had a sticky table never had some strange madness happen. They've always just run a tight shit. We've been using this location for about five-ish years now.

Always 5 stars!!!! They feed Veterans for free every year, on the occasion of November 11th. Today I received a 50% off coupon from Sizzler to my email address from Sizzler itself, never b 4, first time ever. The Ribeye was cooked to perfection at a reasonable price point. Same price as Outback Steakhouse. Excellent service. I just love this place.

On Aug . 6 , I dropped by at Sizzler for lunch. This restaurant is usually my " to go " place for healthy meals . A wide variety of fresh offerings in their salad bar , delicious soups , side dishes etc. are always replenished . Every single time I dine in - it's usually busy and that day was no exception . However , their service staff members are always hands on and so attentive to the customers . This is not a random observation BUT a consistent service oriented point of view from someone who's been coming here for years regularly . I had to take this opportunity to commend on the excellent customer service skills of Manager Michael Graciano . He's so attentive to his customers' needs and concerns . He picked up used plates and utensils . He engaged them in conversations , no matter how short the time parameters were . He would check on the availability of food items on the salad bar . Mr. Graciano can be seen sweeping scraps of food items on the floor . These are just a few of the things that I've seen him doing on my visits at Sizzler . His leadership, excellent people skills are truly exceptional and those qualities set him apart from the pack. To this note - kindly extend to him my sincerest appreciation and thanks for his exemplary service . Mr . Michael Graciano epitomizes what a dedicated , hardworking and well loved team manager is all about .

This time we were celebrating our anniversary and were able to plan ahead and make a reservation. The ambience is upscale darker and very clean. The lady at the podium was very friendly and checked us in. Once checked in, we were suggested to wait at the bar which we pleasantly did. We didn't have to wait long before we got sat. I will say that their cocktails are amazing and we decided to go with cocktails for the night. Every single cocktail we tried, we loved. They also have a wide variety of brands on different liquors. My boyfriend likes bread, so we decided to order their bread and I love steak tartar so we ordered that as appetisers. We like to start with a salad so we decided to share a Caesar salad specially after we saw them preparing it to the table next to us. The Caesar salad is definitely a must and it was our favourite. I had never had a Caesar salad that actually used anchovies and I loved it. The steak tartar was good, but not the best I've had. I did like that it included the yolk on the top and the chips were good and it had a good flavour but it just seemed a little too salty for me. We had a ribeye steak to share that was perfectly cooked medium rare and the butter was delicious for the sides. We had the truffle fries and we had the onions on red wine. The onions were my favourite part of the sides. I could not leave without the dessert and we decided to go with a banana foster. They do a table side show that was amazing and it was a delicious dessert. Service throughout the night was great. Overall, I will say that I will be back for Drinks and if we decide to have a meal here, I would definitely get the Caesar salad the onion on red wine side and the banana foster. The steak was good, just not great I would be willing to try a different cut or protein. For the pricetag, I would've expected everything to be great, which is why four.

The cocktails, service and food is all really solid but my favorite thing is the old school feel of the design. It's dark, warm and has a nostalgic Rat Pack vibe. We love the black and white photos throughout. Nothing better than meatball Mondays when they serve insanely good meatballs and homemade Bucatini pasta (pic 12). What better to accompany that deliciousness than some signature cocktails. Some of the fam loved the "Fields of Italy." (Pic 3) It's a fresh, crispy champagne cocktail made with vodka, Aperol, St. Germain, strawberry/basil jam, lemon and prosecco. It was perfect for a summer day. I had one of my favs that has been on the menu for a while now called "Party with Elvis." (Pic 5) It starts out like a boss with walnut-infused bourbon, Montenegro (Italian Amaro), tiki bitters, orange bitters and an orange garnish. It's exceptional!!! The last cocktail in the rotation was a traditional Manhattan that always goes perfect with a plate of Italian love (pic 13). It's always classic and the Moe's staff captures it perfectly with Basil Hayden bourbon, Antica sweet vermouth and angostura bitters. If you haven't been to Moe's, you should make the effort because they never disappoint. It's easy to find bright, fancy joints throughout San Diego, but they're an elevated old school gem that's hard to find. Came here with friends for dinner…read more I started with one of their signature cocktails, the Hot streak, blanco tequila, dried pineapple, lime, jalapeño and basil. Basically a spicy pineapple margarita, it was delicious, the pineapple stood out and so did the spiciness of the Jalapeño. It was both sweet and spicy. Got the Hamachi crudo which came with curry aioli, pickled pineapple, peanut crunch, yuzu and Serrano peppers. It was ok, pretty standard hamachi sashimi in a ponzu type sauce. The Hamachi was tender and the sauce flavorful but not so different than any other you've had. Shrimp Cocktail came on a bed of ice and nicely cooked. Firm and sweet. Dusted with old bay and came with lemon and cocktail sauce. Oysters on the half shell also came on a bed of ice. They were fresh and briny. There were two types; east and west coast they were notably different. One was more briny than the other, I cant remember which. It came with mignonette, horseradish, hot sauce and lemon. I only needed lemon. they were fresh and went down easy! It's listed as Bacon on the menu but it is the furthest thing from bacon. It's basically a slow cooked tender pork belly sliced to about 3/4" then glazed with a soy/gochujang sauce under the broiler and topped with chives. Super tender and tasty with a little heat from the gochujang. A definite must! BBQ dry aged meat balls: A mixture of pork and beef, I thought were good but not as special as the Bacon. They were meaty and flavorful but I think if you're getting a steak you can get your meat fix there. The Parker house rolls were amazing! They came in a cast iron skillet topped with truffle butter and herbs, They were so soft and airy and the truffle butter was so good. Im not usually a fan of truffle butter, it's often too strong a flavor but somehow this was very good and balanced. Caesar salad, says comes with "a lot of pecorino" man they weren't kidding! It was covered in cheese! I liked the crispy romaine lettuce, cheese, and croutons, it came with a fried anchovy which I didn't really care for. It was a nice touch and very different but I guess im not a fan of straight up anchovies, I prefer them mixed into a sauce where they just add saltines and flavor. I guess if I took a small bite with each bite of salad. I got the 16 oz cedar river prime ribeye. It was super tender and cooked to perfect medium. We got a bunch of sauces but they were not necessary. My friends loved the creamy horseradish, I think it just covers up the steak. I feel like most places under temp there steaks these days. USDA medium rare is 130º which is a pink center, most places go by sight or feel which is a red center. So I always go with medium which is think is actually 130º (USDA medium rare). For sides we shared Shell Mac, which was very cheesy and gooey! Excellent granted that I don't usually like Mac and cheese. Whipped potatoes were very smooth. too smooth for me in fact, but my friends liked it a lot. Truffled creamed spinach again very smooth and creamy and I loved the truffled flavor which I usually don't like. Maybe they use actual truffles or truffle powder rather than truffle oil. IDK but it's unusual for me to like truffled items. For dessert we got the butter cake and brookie tart. The butter cake came topped with sourcream ice cream, the cake was soft and buttery and ice cream was smooth and creamy. I preferred the brookie tart, the chocolate cookie/brownie had a nice crunch and a good chocolate flavor. The chocolate ice cream further enhanced the chocolate flavor while adding a nice contrast in texture. if you like vanilla then go for the butter cake if you like chocolate go for the brookie tart. Rare Society is a smaller steak house, run by the Trust group and chef Brad Wise. Service was great, very attentive. There is no private lot but I easily found parking on the street on a week night. The standouts were the Bacon, Parker house rolls, steak, shell Mac, truffled creamed spinach. and brookie tart. I'd highly recommend reservations.

This is probably the longest overdue review I have ever written, but at this point, not writing it…read morealmost feels selfish because I would very much like to always be able to get a table here. But alas, Carbon Angela's Kitchen deserves every flower, every reservation, every "you have to try this place" text thread, and every bit of love. This place has become one of my absolute favorite hidden gems in San Diego. Easily top five for me, and as someone who dines out a lot for a living, that is not a casual statement. There are places you like, places you recommend, and then there are places that start to feel woven into your actual life. Carbon Angela's Kitchen is that for me. Angela is truly the heart of this place. She has this way of making you feel like you are not just coming in for dinner, but being welcomed into something she deeply cares about. And Emanuele is absolutely part of that magic too. Together, they have built something that feels warm, generous, soulful, and so special. They feel like long-lost friends and family now, and I am honestly just so proud of them and all they are creating. The food is the kind that makes you want to order with the whole table in mind. The griglia mista is hands down one of the best investments you can make if you are dining with a group. It is the meat platter, it is the moment, and it is absolutely worth ordering. Four to five people can split it, especially if you are also doing appetizers, salad, wine, and a few extra things for the table. It is such a perfect nod to what Carbon was before Angela took over, when the space leaned more BBQ, but now it feels beautifully married with Angela's warmth, Italian influence, and the kind of hospitality that makes the whole meal feel like an experience. And please do not sleep on the rest of the menu. The short rib is fire. The arancino trio is always a yes. The eggplant croquette? Obsessed. The crespelle? So good. The Everything Salad is my favorite salad on the menu, and the street corn should never, under any circumstances, be skipped. I said what I said. The wine selection is top tier, the appetizers are memorable, and the whole place has that rare magic of feeling cozy, intentional, and completely unpretentious. You can come for a low-key dinner, a girls' night, a celebration, or one of those "we just need a really good meal and a really good glass of wine" kind of evenings. And the back patio? Perfect for an evening under twinkling lights. It is one of those spaces that just begs for a long table, good conversation, clinking glasses, and the kind of night that accidentally turns into a core memory. They also have catering menus available, which is very important information to keep in your back pocket if you are hosting anything soon. What Angela has built is honestly something to behold. One of the hardest-working restaurateurs doing the dang thing in a city like San Diego, and now opening Bedda across the way too? I am in awe and wonder watching it all unfold. It takes so much courage, grit, taste, excellence, and heart to build what they are building, and you can feel all of it in the room. Carbon Angela's Kitchen is a true labor of love, a hidden gem, and one of those places I will keep cheering for again and again. Go hungry. Order the griglia mista. Get the Everything Salad. Do not skip the street corn. Share Share Share, so you can try a little bit of everything and do a tried and true family style meal, you won't regret it.

It's served Family-Style and is enough for 3-4 people which was only $60. The restaurant is small and charming with a window into the kitchen. They make their pasta fresh (be sure to include your pasta texture preference when ordering (Al Dente or Softer, etc.) We were greeted by Angela (the owner) and she made us feel welcome (as if we were dining over a friend's home which I absolutely loved). She started us off with some fresh baked Focaccia which had herb + cheese baked into the top (of course it was delicious). We added an appetizer called Crespelle which was a really yummy spin on a Manicotti made the right way (with a Crespelle). The salad was fresh and tasty. We order the Rigatoni Sugo which has a Tomato based sauce and assorted meats (Meatballs, Sausage, Cubes of meat) and was delicious along with the meats as well. We also added the Picanha Steak Entree with the Brie Fondue and that was so different while being soooo yummy. We enjoyed some wine with our meal and we finished with this really delicious Bavarian Cream Filled Napoleon with a Berry Coulis (desserts do change so check with restaurant to see what they have available the day you want to visit).. We can't wait to come back and try their Grigliata Mista (Meat Feast for 3-4 people).

Being that this was my first time eating at STK, Jordyn gave a very thorough and descriptive explanation of the menu. Her recommendations were spot on and my wife and I definitely plan on coming back. Thank you for the eating experience Jordyn!!!

Otherwise it would've been impossible to get parking. We did park across the street at a pay parking lot for under $16 for 2 hours. Great music being played, mainly old school, which I love. We ordered from their Prix Fixe menu, for starts we got Caesar salad and the Shrimp cocktail. Salad was good and my shrimp cocktail was even better, plenty of horseradish plus slices of a spicy pepper possibly habanero. We also got their complimentary read which was soft and tasty. We shared a porterhouse steak medium rare and it was delicious. For sides we ordered asparagus and macaroni and cheese. Portions were abundant no complaints. And for dessert we ordered the apple pie which came topped with crème fraise. I also got a Cafe Americano, which is the only coffee you can order. Our waiter was knowledgeable and entertaining. Helping us with ordering and making our celebration memorable. Definitely a great place for celebrating.

One thing they can work on: We knew from a previous visit that they have an extensive wine list on an iPad. We asked our server for the wine list and she said it was on the menu. Then we asked for the "secret" list. She seemed to reluctantly bring out the iPad . We bought two $500 bottles that the manager graciously spent some time locating. It paid off for C level to spend some time and bring the secret wine list lol.

C-Level Lounge is one of those San Diego spots where the view alone makes you want to stay awhile,…read morebut thankfully the food gives you plenty of reasons to do exactly that. We grabbed a table overlooking the water, and the whole setting just works--open-air, breezy, relaxed, and upscale without feeling stuffy. Add a cocktail and that waterfront backdrop and you're already off to a good start. We definitely sampled our way around the menu. The crispy sweet potato fries were a favorite--hot, crisp, and perfectly snackable. We also had a loaded basket of fries with crispy bites and dipping sauces that disappeared pretty quickly. The Asian-inspired chicken salad was fresh, colorful, and packed with texture: grilled chicken, greens, crunchy wontons, herbs, and a sweet-savory dressing that pulled everything together. Then there was that sandwich. Thick, toasted bread, a seriously generous filling, bacon, greens, and a creamy sauce on the side. This is not a dainty lunch situation. Come hungry! We also tried a beautifully presented seafood dish with crispy taro chips and plantains. Great presentation and a nice change of pace from the heavier plates. Cocktails were refreshing and exactly what you want while sitting by the bay. What really sells C-Level, though, is the full experience. You're enjoying good food and drinks with boats passing in the distance and some of the best waterfront scenery in San Diego. It's equally good for taking out-of-town guests, a leisurely lunch, date day, or simply pretending you're on vacation for a couple of hours. Pro tip: Get a waterfront table if you can. That's where C-Level really shines.
