I've been going to this sizzler for as long as I can remember and sadly the reviews about its declining quality are true. The food isn't consistent, some days it's really good, some days you deeply regret not just cooking something yourself at home. I will say my biggest issue comes with ordering food for delivery from here. The quality of food may not be consistent but their ability to forget multiple items in your order sure is. We once ordered from here and were missing half our order so we had to contact doordash to get our money back for the items they failed to provide and then reorder food from somewhere else so everyone in our party could actually eat. If you order salad, they forget the dressing. If you order wings, they forget the dressing (yes even when you pay extra for it). Ordered dessert? It's a 50/50 on whether or not they'll actually give you anything at all. Ordered drinks? Sometimes you'll get all of them, sometimes you only get one of them. In terms of service, the servers have always been lovely to deal with. I love hearing them recognize customers and build relationships with them. I just wish someone, literally anyone, would check the ticket and the items before sending the order out for delivery. It seems like they glance over the ticket and just wing it from there and hope they don't get contacted for refunds. read more

My food wasn't that great at all, but then again I got a bacon burger which looked like a regular hamburger. My fiancé's food was ok. But the service was absolutely wonderful! Our server Erik ( hope that's his name ) was the best! The moment he saw us sit down he came to us right away, and asked if we wanted some toast. I was a bit confused on how he would know what we ordered, So I asked him if he needed my recipe to see what we ordered he told me no, I GOT YOU!! We don't go to Sizzler much, but this location remodeled. The restaurant is actual really nice and very pleasant to eat at. We love their salad bar. $9.99 for an entree and unlimited salad bar!! We get full on the salad bar and just take our main dish home. At the salad bar, they have this delicious cranberry, apple walnut salad and their incredible big fried chicken wings! :-P Excellent customer service! Haven't been here in a long time. Just came here to have a quick dinner with my Father. They have the Steak combo on special for $10. I ordered the Steak w/ Mailbu Chicken combo. Which for the money was not a bad deal. The Cheese Garlic Bread is also pretty good that comes with the dinner. The staff was helpful a t this location. You know, this Sizzler gets * * * * four stars, not necessarily due to comparing their food to other places. I know it's not Ruth Chris here and the steaks are not necessarily the best cuts of beef. However, you're also not paying $50 for an a la carte steak here either. So, from a monetary/economic standpoint, I feel that this Sizzler offers a good value for the price, thus the higher rating. I'll say this 'tho, if you can eat a steak prepared rare or medium rare, almost any cut of beef if cooked properly can be good. It's once a piece is over cooked, when you notice how tough and dry it can be. So, with the Sizzler, I'd recommend getting your steaks Medium Rare, but not cooked any more than that. You can eat for under $10 to maybe up to $15 or $20 per person for lunch or dinner. It depends if you buy the upsells like the add on salad or a beverage. They have a decent AYCE (aka unlimited all you can eat buffet style) menu with their salad / soup bar which has hot foods like tacos and fried chicken wings. They seasonally have promotions for AYCE things like the Riblets and Shrimp too. The service here can be hit or miss, as with any restaurant.. I got a positive hit with Diane, who was very friendly and accommodating. I like this location because parking is easy, the clientele isn't too sketchy, or at least when I've visited it. Seeing it on a delivery service app today, I ordered Sunday lunch from them to share and all in all, it was a 3 star experience that wasn't horrible but also doesn't call for a repeat anytime soon. * Steak & 6 Jumbo Crispy Shrimp with mashed potatoes: Steak was ordered medium well, but arrived well done, making it too dry. Otherwise okay. The shrimps came with horseraddish ketchup and a slice of lemon, okay but not great. Mashed potatoes were very weird and rubbery with some half raw potato pieces in it and with too much (fake?) butter sauce. 2.5 out of 5. * Steak & 2 Shrimp Skewers with Cilantro Lime Rice: Steak was slightly better and closer to medium well than the other one. Pretty good flavor. 8 shrimps on 2 skewers were tasty with fresh lemon (best item in this whole order). Cilantro lime rice was far better than the mashed potatoes even though I could neither taste the cilantro nor the lime. 4/5. Steak I wish I could give them a triple zero. My Play mom and I went there for lunch. When we were originally on our way to Chilli's. We noticed the salad bar was back. So I made a u-turn. Big big mistake. My mom said oh the steak and shrimp looks good. So we ordered that plus the salad bar.Her's was sirloin and mines was ribeye. The steaks were over cooked hard as a brick. Came here for mother's day after 4pm We ordered at the register and when we were asked what kind of drinks we wanted, we responded, and a girl behind the girl helping us says from behind her "there's a soda machine over by the salad bar grab your own drinks" I only felt that was the RUDEST thing ever because 1 there is a soda fountain right next to her register and 2 the people in front of us weren't told to get their own soda after being asked what kind of drinks they wanted Food is still really good, bread is amazing! I take my family out to this restaurant and got there early so there wasn't any customers there ... my girls ordered the salad bar I ordered Steak and Lobbster .. 1/2 hour later I got my COLD meal and I mean COOOOLD!!! The server saw the disappointment in my face when I touched the meat..I pulled the lobster out of its shell and it wasn't even cooked, so I take it up to the cashier because the server isn't anywhere to be found .. Worked here for maybe a week for fun in hopes to have a way to express my extroverted personality, hopefully being a highlight of customers day making them feel special with my friendly and bubbly personality while making extra cash on the side after my more Introverted professional carreer hours. The Manager at the time came to work with an active Staph infection (not covered) and I got MRSA the next day, *NOT SAFE FOR CUSTOMERS or EMPLOYEES* I had to be hospitalized for two weeks as it is very contagious, especially for those who are susceptible. I notified her of what the infection was when she showed the staff, I kindly suggested that she cover it with guaze for the safety of others. She did not follow through with my suggestion. I never got my paycheck for the week I worked when i was told it would be sent to my address, was not worth my time nor my life to retrieve it in person so I let it go. I hope no one else was medically effected by the manager not having proper PPE in place. This location has very Unprofessional and Uneducated Management and has a very dirty resturant. Do Better Corporate. Hire qualified Managers who value their job, employees, and customers. I have had several meals over the course of a couple months and they have been consistently producing good food! I especially like their tri-tip sirloin, excellently seasoned and cooked to the requested temperature! I have also tried their shrimp and ribs, both are good as well. And the Caesar side salad was fresh. The only thing I wasn't so fond of is the mash potatoes. The quality of steaks are hit and miss, and mostly miss. It's fatty and full of grisle and tonight, it had a weird taste. It's never cooked as ordered. Yesterday, I went to Sizzler because I had an offer for my birthday for $5 off my meal. I always order the Malibu Chicken at SIzzler. It comes with a side (I always choose a baked potato), and since I had gotten what they call a smaller plate, I also could choose soup or salad from the salad bar (I chose salad), and also got a free drink. It also comes with delicious Sizzler toast. The food is always good, and 90% of the time, the waiter or waitress is very good. I chose a few items from the salad bar before sitting down at my table. I like the imitation crab salad there, and I had a few tiny pieces of the barbecued chicken (wasn't too good, not hot). I also had some potato salad (which wasn't identified and didn't look like potato salad. I thought it was fruit salad. I didn't like it. I had some peaches and canteloupe, too, which were good. That lunch was my only meal of the day. It was very filling, so I wasn't hungry for dinner. This time my waitress was Ebony, and one of my main purposes in writing this review was to sing Ebony's praises. She is a wonderful, hard-working employee and a huge asset to the Sizzler Restaurant in Torrance, CA. She did all the right things that makes her a great waitress, in my opinion. She immediately brought a stack of napkins (I alwasy use a lot), and soon after, she delivered a fresh, hot piece of the yummy Sizzler toast. Soon came my meal and drink and, upon request, another piece of toast. The baked potatoes, accompanied by butter, sour cream and chives, are always good there. The Malibu Chicken was great, as always.Ebony was very attentive during my meal, asking a few times if I needed anything else, like a refill on my drink, and she brought more napkins, too, without my asking for them. She was doing other things too, like replacing utensils at the salad bar and just seemed to be working very hard and very fast. So, thank you Ebony for making my lunch a very enjoyable one. My husband and I eat at this location almost every week We like the people who work there. When my husband is craving for steak we come here. He get his regular order New York Steak & I order the Unlimited Salad bar. This particular night we came here for dinner. When he started eating his steak there is this particular smell but we both did not say anything, thinking its just a smell of grilled meat. Until we get home & his tummy starts growling & had to go to the toilet. We both suspect he was served with an old meat. Went there last night.. great customer service.. food was hot.. burgers made great.. guacamole is actually good.. love that they ask how we want our meat done. chicken nuggets and mini corndogs were excellent.. . the deal to add on the unlimited salad bar for $8 to our entrees were a great deal! Salad bar experience: Cucumbers dry, greek salad bowl was full of water. All other were half or almost empty. I admit, I like coming to Sizzler. No, it's not in the upper echelon of steak houses. Not even close. But what it is, is satisfying. Inexpensive, although the prices aren't cheap anymore. The main salad bar is nice and all the choices are fresh. The taco bar with chicken wings and spaghetti isn't so good and the taste is rather bland. The soups are pretty good, and the clam chowder is nice. I've only been to this location during lunch time. The wait staff seems more limited during lunch but they do a good job. The steaks are on the thin side and they tend to cook them more than what you order. Order a steak medium and you may not see any pink. Depends on the cook I suppose. Aah Sizzler...my future retirement home. Food is reasonably priced, reasonably prepared, and the kids/grandparents love it here...reasonably so! My plan of attack is to purchase an entree with the endless salad bar. I pack up the entree to go and I get full off of the salad bar. Salad bar plates don't come as quick as I would like, but I don't mind "reminding" the server when I need a fresh set. This is one of the cleaner Sizzler locations that I have visited.
