    Halibut soup
    Doreen T.

The star is the definitely the steam crab. No need to dip in the oily fake butter, the crab is sweet by itself. We also ordered the non-spicy halibut soup and the fish and chips, but both dishes were just okay and not particularly memorable. However the prices here are ridiculous. I get that the restaurant is located in a tourist-heavy area right by the pier, but the overall experience didn't justify the cost. Not when you serve your food in paper plates, thin paper napkins. and no food gloves. The attitude from the staff wasn't very welcoming, and it felt awkward being asked for a tip on the way out, especially considering there were only two other customers dining there on a Wednesday night. I noticed the waitress demanded a tip from them as well. The service definitely need to be better here for the price they charge.

The best seafood restaurant! The service was excellent. We also had a seafood stew. It's not in the picture, but it was perfect and the view from the restaurant was beautiful as well. I would highly recommend trying the seafood stew and steam dungeon is crab My recommendation.

Honestly, it's not bad. The food tastes good. But,, is the price justifiable? Probably not. We ordered 3 things off the menu and our bill was well over $200 including tip and drinks. Honestly I have no complaints about the food, but paying the pricing was a little absurd given that we were the only customers in the restaurant, and nothing was memorable. The service we received was standard, the taste was standard, nothing out of the ordinary. I know this restaurant used to be poppin many years back, and it just isn't the same anymore. I'd like to support my local businesses but when it isn't the same anymore is a little hard, admittedly.

Don't let the look of this place fool you. The food here is so fresh and made to order. Everything I ordered was fantastic. Some of the best seafood I've ever ate. The price is fair and the service here is fast and efficient. They make you pay before you sit which is interesting but it's probably to avoid dashers so I understand. The ladies who are serving and bringing out the food are badass and run that establishment with ease. Fish and chips. Deep fried oysters. Dungeness Crab. These are a must. We wanted to order the sashimi but they sold out for the day. One of my favorite memories coming here to visit. If you are a real foodie then you'll appreciate this place

Crab and seafood on the pier in Redondo Beach! Been coming here off and on over the past 25+ years. Sometimes when I'm on vacation in LA, or if I had a long layover at LAX. This time I had over 6 hours, so we had a ride and made the 20-25 min trek from the airport. It opens at 1130 if you're wondering. Ordered a crab, and they scoop it out of the tank, charge by the weight, and fresh steam it for you (takes about 20 min). Yum! A no frills place, paper plates and napkins, wooden hammers, plastic aprons to protect yourselves from the crab splatters if you get too carried away, and they have beer and korean shoju to wash it all down. Things have pretty much remained the same over time. Pretty good food, nice Korean owners, and a place to share brews and fresh seafood with friends! Definitely will continue to visit this place from time to time, not only to eat, but to bring back nostalgic memories of an old stomping grounds from my younger days...

This is my first review for this place even though I've been here several times over the years. The ambiance of this place sits right on the pier. I was surprised to see this place not busy on a Saturday evening. It was so nice not have to wait in line! You pay to order first before sitting down. Service was pretty good & quick. Hubby & I came here with 2 other couples. We ordered 1 crab per couple, large sashimi plate, & 매운탕 to share. I've been craving to come back to this place for the longest time & I left the place full & satisfied. Everything was good. The crab had good amount of meat & the sashimi was fresh. The 매운탕 hit the spot for me. The soup was flavorful. It was definitely better to come with more people bc the portions are big.

Grew up coming here. Now as an adult, can appreciate the entire experience. There was plenty of seating as the restaurant was large. Ordered the large sashimi platter, one Dungeness crab and spicy fish stew. Since the restaurant was on the pier, the food was very expensive. Quality is pretty good but not exceptional. Enjoyed opening the window to feel the breeze. Overall good experience but it may be more so due to nostalgia.

Got here for lunch and ordered a small sashimi, 1 dungeoness crab and maeuntang (spicy fish soup). It came out to about $185 bucks with a bottle of soju. Everything was delicious but I recommend going up on the spice level for the soup. We got medium and I def think it was more of a mild-medium.

Service and language barrier is probably the real issue here. Menu and prices are a bit confusing as well. My mom loved this place, so I ordered the spicy fish stew to go and really enjoyed it. Was about $65 with tip for the large. I really wanted a spicy crab stew I tried here years ago with my mom, but they either don't make it anymore or don't want to. The fish stew was great, but if they put a crab in there, it would have been bomb. They do have live crab, so......maybe it was too expensive? One crab did cost about $65 here, which seemed steep, but probably would have paid the $130 total if they added the crab. The menu is limited, but the stew was amazing and large was enough for 6 people, so not a bad deal, even if they added the crab and was $130 total. Maybe next time with a small group. The sunset alone was worth the visit!

My family's been going here for years and there's nowhere more we'd trust to make an amazing spicy seafood stew and sell the freshest, best crabs in the area. The store is run by a squad of friendly Korean ladies that have been around for years, and the food is cooked and served fresh. The restaurant is on the pier, and on days with good weather, is beautiful to look out on.

Fresh and quality seafood here at Pacific Fish Center! I have been going here since I was a kid, and the quality has always been great. My mom and I ordered clams, fried oysters, crab, and spicy Korean seafood soup. Each dish was delicious and we were full between the two of us. I especially enjoyed the soup, they are generous with their portions and seafood. My only reason for a 4-star rating was the size of the crabs. They did not have much meat, and for the price I expected more. Finish the body of the crab by mixing rice and sesame oil is so good when it mixes with the juices. The service is great and the views of the ocean are beautiful. I look forward to coming back and enjoying fresh seafood!

I had a great lunch here. We were a party of 6 and ordered 3 Dungeness crabs, spicy fish stew, and a large sashimi platter. I wasn't sure about the portions since my sister's family usually only orders crab, but I wanted more variety--so that was our first order. The bill was around $450 + tip. The sashimi came out first. It was fresh, but the amount was so tiny. After that, I asked my brother-in-law about the price (they treated us that day), and it turned out to be $150--definitely not worth it. The portions overall were smaller than expected, so we had to order a second round of food. But we enjoyed the rest. The spicy stew, fresh clam soup, and fried calamari were all good. Great view, fun to walk around with a few snacks after. I'd definitely come back--but never for the sashimi. K-Town is way better for that.

Redondo Beach Family Staple My family loves visiting Redondo Beach for this Korean owned Fish Center for their Small Fish Soup $37.99 and the Small Shrimp $16.99 per pound. Don't be sticker shocked and if you are, head on over to the long lines at Quality Seafood. They also sell Crab that will cost you an arm and a leg aka North of a Benjamin $100. I didn't take a picture of the famous Fish Soup but they use this really nice Meaty Fish and provide Rice and Kimchi to go along with it. It is very filling and hearty. Asking for Tabasco will set you back $2.50. At least water was free and had a piece of lemon, but the utensils are as disposable as you can get! Shrinkflation hit this Redondo Beach gem.

Wooga Sullungtang is officially one of my top places to grab some ox bone soup without having to deal with a longer, traffic-ridden drive to K-Town. The broth is silky smooth, rich, soothing, and honestly tastes wonderful on its own. But of course the salt, pepper, and plate of chopped green onions really amplify and improve the overall dish. Purple rice and banchan were delicious as well. I love how thick and crunchy their radish is and I loved pouring some of those juices into my broth about halfway through finishing. Kimchi, cucumber kimchi, and fish cake were so so addicting. Service was impressively quick. I came in while the Mexico vs. South Korea World Cup was broadcasted so the energy in the restaurant and servers was ELECTRIC.
