Came on a Sunday afternoon. It was busy but not barbaric because we chose to come later. Erika was an amazing server. She was very attentive, always refreshed our salad bar plates and beverages, and checked on us often. We really hope to sit with her again. The food was very fresh and after not being to a Sizzler for over 20 years I was very impressed by the quality of the food prep. The steaks were all cooked to the correct temperature and the fried shrimp were fluffy, crispy, and perfectly golden.

The signature cheese toast was offered to our whole table after we sat down. For the salad bar option, there is salad, soups, a hot bar with a taco/nacho bar, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken wings, and more. The salad bar options...

soft serve. The quality is not the best but I got my fill for the price. My boyfriend also wanted me to sample everything from his classic trio. The steak was okay. I commented on how it was small, and he said it's shrinkflation, since it used to be bigger before. Shrimp was okay. What amused me most was the malibu chicken which is a deconstructive knock off of a cordon bleu. Tastes good enough. I wouldn't mind coming back for a healthy salad buffet meal but this is no where as good as the salad bar experience with Soup N Fresh (aka the new Souplanation) but no wait is a plus. The experience would have been much better if the server we had was more on top of things.

Mom loves Sizzler after her favorite salad bar place closed down at the height of Covid. Life sized menus line the wall as you get closer to the cashier. We usually order the small plates then add unlimited salad bar. Their salad bar had fresh vegetable and fruit options, different salad dressings, nuts, dried fruit, mixed salads like macaroni, potato, carrot, crab salad, coleslaw, there was a taco station, pasta section and even dessert (chocolate and tapioca pudding, yogurt, fruit salad, jello, canned peaches, cool whip, etc.). Don't forget the soft serve ice cream station.

They had three kinds of soup- there's clam chowder, beef stew, and chicken noodle soup. There are booths and tables for bigger groups. Service was friendly. We arrived before the dinner rush so parking was not an issue, the restrooms...

The meatball the chicken wings and the awesome potato salad. Always and forever sizzler fan. Not too many around now but if there is one open it is good. Live the steak chicken soup and sandwich good food. Not expensive. Great experience

Wow this is my first time having Sizzlers ever and I can see the traditional aspects that would make this place popular and nostalgic for those who grew up having it. My rating would have been better if our server was more attentive. My boyfriend ordered the Classic Steak Trio ($25.49) which comes with a 6oz sirloin steak, 4 jumbo crispy shrimps, and a malibu chicken with your choice of a side, which he opted for the baked potato. He wanted the classic so I could try some of the classic items at Sizzler. I had to have what I have heard about this place for so long, the Unlimited Salad Bar ($20.99) which includes a beverage. So their unlimited concept is strange to me because they don't have the plates and soup bowls out. Starting out they gave me one plate and ne bowl. Not my style since I usually like to gather all my food at the buffet and then sit and eat in one sitting. This is an area where our server really hindered the experience because I had to finish my plate before I had to ask and waittttttt for her to eventually bring another plate. By then I'm already digesting and less able to eat to my full potential. So I started off building a salad with all of my favorite ingredients. The way they have the ingredients and the tongs they use... a lot of contamination occurs. The ingredient in the back drops into the ingredient in the front. This is especially true with the sauces. One lady couldn't reach the ladle for the dressing she wanted and asked me to grab the handle for her. Then she was struggling so much I saw her contaminate the front dressing with her dressing. Not on purpose or anything but she couldn't help it base on the set up. I also tried the clam chowder and the chicken noodle soup. Neither were impressive. The wings were okay. Twelve of my friends took a vote on Sushi or Sizzler for dinner, and Sizzler won. We arrived and were immediately greeted and welcomed by two extremely friendly employees. I chose the unlimited salad bar, as did a couple of my friends, while others chose steak, shrimp, or chicken dinners. The restaurant, including the salad bar, was very clean, well organized, and well maintained. The salad bar offered many great, fresh, and tasty choices. My friends shared that their dinners were delicious and perfectly prepared. Our lone waitress was AMAZING!! She was super friendly, attentive, and assured that our visit was a positive experience. Mission accomplished, as we truly enjoyed our dinners and our entire visit.

After having a self care pedi day with my bestie, inside the plaza we were getting our nails done, I noticed there was a sizzler. I can't remember the last time I had the salad bar from Sizzler and we both decided it was time to be reacquainted. Our total was $64 for two people (tip not included), for two salad bar dinners, paired with a large Corona and Strawberry Lemonade. The ambiance was clean, the food was fresh, and our meals were accompanied with great service. The restaurant was busy, and we did have a little wait. However, it was all worth it. Thank you so much! It's located in a plaza with ample parking. There aren't too many sizzler locations near me. So, I absolutely noted this one.

Initially I went to another restaurant for soup and salad but they were busy so I thought of Sizzler since we were in the area. It is busy during dinner time on a Saturday night. We waited in line a bit before ordering. Ordered 3 dinner salad bar, crispy bacon burger, and a side of baked potato. For seniors over 65, you get a free fountain drink. After you pay, find your own seats. The server was friendly and she came by to give us new plates and soup bowls for refills. It took a long time for crispy bacon burger and a side of baked potato to come out. We were almost done with our meal and they finally came out. Plenty of parking spaces. It is across from the mall.

I got the shrimp shrimp shrimp. I liked the popcorm shrimp and the butterfly shrimp, the skewered shrimp lacked flavor. For the steak 6oz looks really small and it is unless you get salad bar too for an additional 9.99. The steak is super tender. Cheese toast was super buttery. Salad bar had a variety of salads.on one side they have the build your own salad. Then one the other Tuna, egg, brocolli, macaroni, seafood salads. I liked the egg, macaroni, and seafood salads. I also liked their chicken as it was crispy. Maybe this batch was fresh. The chicken soup was good, i was not a fan of the menudo though. This sizzler has unlimited nacho cheese. I loved the ice cream they had. The cones were stale though, so id recommend only getting the ice cream in a cup. Getting inside, you can view the menu before you place your order, pay, then finds seats. It was a little confusing because they have a tip option and the cashier said hold up i have tip for you then gave us cash. Apparently you tip the server instead of up front. You also have to give the server the receipt so they know what you ordered. If you get salad bar, it comes with plate and a soup bowl.

Sizzler (West Covina) is not bad. I ordered the Unlimited Salad Bar ($19.99). It's unlimited soup, buffet items, salad, and dessert. The Unlimited Salad Bar is the main attraction at Sizzlers. I arrived at Sizzler (West Covina) on Sunday (around 3:50PM). Parking is easy. The lot is fairly big. Unlike other restaurants, customers pay before eating. Customers pay at the counter; they place their receipt at an open table; and a server greets and assists you. Staff is pleasant and diligent. During my visit, Staff was attentive and friendly. Immediately, Staff placed a basket of complimentary cheese toast. From the Salad Bar, I served myself bowls of Clam Chowder, Spaghetti with Meatballs, Nachos, Fried Chicken, Cesar Salad with Artichoke Hearts and Mushrooms, and Vanilla Soft Serve Ice Cream. I also ordered the Mango Lemonade ($5.99) which came with unlimited refills. The food is very filling. Personally, the Clam Chowder, Cheese Toast, and Cesar Salad tasted the best. I enjoyed the Clam Chowder's soft potatoes and thick, well-seasoned broth. The Cheese Toast is fluffy and thick. The salad options are also very fresh. However, the Spaghetti with Meatballs was okay. I liked the bouncy noodles and meatballs, but its sauce was too watery. I also appreciated the vanilla soft serve, but this ice cream tastes frugal and icy, Unfortunately, the nachos and fried chicken were the least enjoyable. The chips were stale; the cheese tasted watered down; and the fried chicken was very salty and chewy. Regarding ambiance, Sizzler (West Covina) had a casual, slightly messy diner appearance. Floors had crumbs; tables constantly needed to be cleaned; and crowds kinda lumbered around. However, there's some high points. I appreciated the flat screen televisions that played the football game. I also appreciated how there's a stack of high-chairs for children, so it's family friendly. Also, it felt like the servers still tried hard to keep up with the customers' pace. Overall, Sizzler (West Covina) has value. It's a very affordable, decent option if you enter with a plan. Personally, I avoid Sizzler's main entrees because they are usually too rubbery, wet, or overcooked.... however, the Unlimited Salad Bar ($19.99) is the real reason I'd continue to return. If searching for affordable food, Sizzler (West Covina) is a decent option. 3.8 out of 5

This place always hit the spot and the last time it did that was about 15 years ago. Love that this place still serve the infamous Malibu Chicken, which is and was my favorite. The restaurant is nice and clean. There's lots of tables available and good parking. My waitress was friendly as well.

I had the salad bar for the first time and didn't really care for it. The soups were not very tasty and the protein asides from the boiled eggs were nit that great. I should have had the steak with vegetables as it is almost the same price! Service was great and the place was cery crowded. The cheese bread is really good! It is a large dining area and very crowded when we dined, we will be back but most likely for the steak.

I haven't been here in a while! It's been over 10 years I forgot what this was like. The staff was very attentive and nice, while we were waiting for the rest of the party to arrive the cashier thought we were confused and tried to help us out. Not to mention our server ( the guy with pixel Mario tattoo) I didn't catch his name, he was on it. New plates, napkins, cheese bread, I didn't really need to ask. It's like he sees the future. Ok heres my best bang for the buck strategy, Get any entree that you think would be good reheated, and go to town on the salad bar. I know I know it's a "salad bar" but honestly it's a pretty decent buffet. Fried chicken, tacos, I made myself a dirty nacho plate. I need to come back before they realize my eatery tactics

My family loves sizzlers salad bar, the senior discount is actually a free drink but they enjoy the variety of salads, soups, and make your own pasta/tacos/nachos food. I think it's more worth getting a meal and add the salad bar but honestly it's a lot to eat and finish! The salad bar is unlimited visits but don't waste food because it's all good food that is worth a try. Reminds me of souplantation and I do miss the place and this is just as good with steak as an option to order. My go to is the clam chowder, fried wings, broccoli salad, and meatballs. The chicken soup reminds me of hometown buffet version, the broccoli salad reminds me of souplantation, and their wings are just so unique (breading is very thick but crunchy so it's like a sandwich encased chicken wing). Our server seems to be the same every time I came, super quick, very accommodating, and always checks on us if we need anything. The place reminds me of American comfort food, a mix of Dennys seating vibe without the bright lights, missing the iconic sizzler silo windows, but with floors and walls of hometown buffet.

I think we all know that Sizzler isn't a ground breaking culinary experience, but it wasn't a bad meal for the price. I got the 6 oz sirloin with a baked potato which included salad or soup and it was decent. Staff weren't overly friendly, but they weren't rude by any means. Had early dinner Steak and Malibu chicken delicious They now give a good size piece of steak usually it's a small tiny steak I was surprised had a hot coffee Delicious taste everything was going well until my second cup of coffee restaurant wasn't busy at all he had walked by me but never offered me a refill cup of coffee so as I noticed he never came back I took my cup up to him I gave it to him to get a refill I could've swore he was going to bring it well guess what he never came back so I was tired of waiting I left sadly when the cup of coffee cost 4.29 well they would've received 5 stars read more

I am not able to delete my previous review. Their customer service has improved recently, so it's time for an update. Erika was our server and she was wonderful! Very kind and attentive. She made sure we had what we needed. She is a standout. The cashiers are friendlier now, which is much appreciated. Sizzler always brings back fond memories, and it's no wonder that this location in particular has such great reviews. Our server was super attentive and brought us everything we needed from refills, extra plates, toast, and to-go containers. The Salad Bar is also great here with great options like clam chowder, menudo, chicken wings, taquitos, and an awesome taco bar. Everything was seasoned very well and had great texture probably due to the high foot traffic. The restaurant is quite spacious compared to other Sizzler's and plenty of TV's. I've been going into Sizzler since the early 70s, and I've never really been disappointed. The steaks, sides, salad bar have always been satisfying, and of course, the endless shrimp. Yesterday, my wife and I had some DMV business down the street, so we decided to stop into the West Covina restaurant for lunch. From ordering to sitting down at our table and getting our food was a pleasant experience. Erika, our server, was amazing. Very personable, happy, and outgoing and makes you feel welcome. She had a smile on her face from beginning to end, and the three of us even chatted about music we like. Today me, my sister and my autistic nephew came to visit this establishment. We were greeted right away by our server philip. He was friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. He was very generous with their wonderful cheesy bread, and we never had to worry about our cups being filled. He was attentive and provided drinks for us to take home, he was wonderful. I went there as a second choice of where to eat for celebration Fathers Day dinner and was once again good experience. It was packed as expected but long line to ordered moved the pretty quickly and cashier was friendly. She told us before ordering the five of us would have to dine outside patio and we were fine. This review is for Sizzler West Covina, located across from West Covina Mall. My family and I frequent this location every now and then. As usual, the food is always good and our server, whose name is Erika, was always constantly checking on us to make sure everything was OK and that we had everything we needed. It was so nice that she didn't disappear on us and leave us hanging. Shout out to Erika for such impeccable service and hospitality Hopefully management recognizes such a professional team member. In all my years I've never eaten at Sizzler. It's one of those places I've always known of because as a kid I'd see commercials all the time. I finally decided to try it with my lovely gf. It was a Saturday evening and it was packed. From elderly couples to large families, it was wall to wall. It took a second to figure out the system. You pay first and they bring your food afterwards. If you get the salad buffet than you get your plates after paying. We felt like newbs because we were holding up the line trying to decide while staring at the menu on the wall. All the while regulars are wondering if they could go around us. Food wise there were some hits and misses. The salad bar has pretty much everything you need to create your idea of the best salad. All the greens, all the veges, and many dressing options. They had some prepared foods like chicken wings and such but nothing interesting. There was a taco bar area which was a bit strange. It was more like a Taco Bell taco bar since it's only hard shells. They have a few soups and honestly the clam chowder was one of better versions I've had in years. We ended up choosing the barramundi with garlic mashed potatoes and 2 salad bars (We had a promo for making one half price). I was confused because the menu picture of the fish looked steamed but it came grilled but sadly it was very bland and a bit dry. Had to add a lot of salt just to get some flavor. I really enjoyed the Texas toast that every table gets. The salad bar was fine and it was a nice change to get some greens but it wasn't mind blowing. I took my mother on a lunch date here and it was just like old times. The food was delicious (we always get the 6 oz steak and unlimited shrimp). The staff were all friendly but especially our lovely server, Venus. She was extremely attentive and just overall nice to talk to. My mom was craving something sweet after lunch and we were gonna go elsewhere until Venus kindly informed us of their dessert options, which my mom eventually settled on a carrot cake. Came to the West Covina Sizzler thinking a post-lunch visit would mean a lighter crowd, but that was not the case. Thankfully, the line moved fast and we were seated quickly -- that's where the smooth part of the experience ended. We ordered a Triple-Licious platter, the Barramundi plate, and one Unlimited Salad Bar with water to drink. The bill came out to $75 minus tip. The fish was cooked fine but definitely could've used some basic seasoning -- even just salt and pepper would've helped. That said, we left full, which is something. The real issue was the service. We were seated without utensils and had to ask for them. Water was never refilled. As for the "Unlimited" Salad Bar -- that seemed to depend entirely on how your server felt about you. We had to ask for clean plates and were given just two for the entire time. Meanwhile, the table next to us was handed fresh plates constantly, seemingly without asking. Maybe they were regulars, or maybe our server, Jay, just preferred their company. Either way, it was hard not to notice the difference. Overall, the food was okay, but the service was disappointing. Definitely not the kind of experience that makes me eager to return. I'd say the 4.5 star experience on this place is exclusively for either regulars or just not Sundays!! read more

This has got to be the nicest sizzlers I've ever been to. Even though Sizzler's interior design/style tends to trend towards a more classic older style, this location manages to do so with out making it feel dated like I'd need to be an AARP member for admission. The location is super clean, well lit, and the furniture isn't notably worn/scratched. The service is also fantastic. Despite being extremely busy; the waitress was super attentive and went out of her way to make sure we always had a clear table, fresh plates/bowls, and a decent supply of their crack bread. I also couldn't help but notice the buffet/salad bar area was kept extremely clean and regularly replenished with fresh hot foods. When premium items (like wings) ran low, a fresh batch followed fairly quickly! This location has definitely renewed my love for Sizzler's! read more

I haven't been to a Sizzler for almost 10 years since my last Yelp review and I was pleasantly surprised how much I still like this place. My wife and I ordered the steak and jumbo shrimp combo while my son got the cheese pizza. I really enjoyed the steak and it was cooked perfectly medium, which is how I liked it. Also, the jumbo shrimp was very good as well as well as my baked potato. It's an "old school" place so if you went here when you were younger, it won't disappoint since it's probably exactly how you might remember it, but if this is a place you've never been to, don't expect anything fancy. It's good solid food for a very reasonable price with excellent service. Oh, and don't forget to keep ordering the delicious cheese bread since it's free. read more

Wow!!! Just finished lunch and had a delicious triple combo steak, shrimp and chicken Malibu along with mouthwatering garlic bread and garlic mushrooms. Yummy!!! So the cubed baked sweet potatoes and red and yellow peppers did kinda off set the saltiness of the prime rib. I also had this same problem at the Blue Bayou in Disneyland. I hate it when my meat is over salted, but whatever. The creamed corn was such a great side. Definitely upgrade to this premium side if you like corn. It's so worth it. I was pleasantly surprised by how large their portions were - the pictures on Yelp don't represent the size as well. We split the jang-jorim burrito and we could barely eat any of the breakfast plate as a result, so we took most of it home. Quality-wise, everything is super fresh and high-quality, nothing felt overly salty or oily. I liked that every plate comes with something extra and that it leans on the healthier side, whether it's salad or fruit. I also had one of their specialty lattes and it was so good. The flavors blended really well without being too sweet. I definitely look forward to coming here in the future for when we're looking for a healthier meal out.

Sizzler's Unlimited Craft Salad is the real deal. You have all the veggies you need for your salad, not to mention the soup, nachos, onion rings, chicken wings, fried potatoes, and so on. If you don't like their ready-made salad dressings, you can easily make your own vinaigrette (combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, ground pepper, and mustard). With their selections, you can always whip up something new or change the flavor of their dishes. For instance, I topped their beef soup with grated cheese, mushrooms, cilantro, and a dollop of sour cream. It was perfect. I also used their cripsy potatoes as a base for all the nacho toppings available in the bar. It was spectacular. read more

We have been local patrons of this location since it opened in the late 70's, early 80's! Their food is exceptional, so fresh and the staff is SO welcoming! Certainly the Management makes this store HUM! We love our favorite Server- Nicole, who has been there over 20 years, Asst Mgr, Paulette is awesome as well - she'll own that place someday! She has been here over 20 years! Such a loyal,committed employee! And lastly, the "Newcomer", Mgr Oracio. Our server, Nicole, went above and beyond as she ALWAYS does. Nicole has built a bond with our family over more than 20 years of SUPERB service. She was the reason Mom always wanted to go to Sizzler after church. Nicole is now a part of our family. She showed up for us when Mom passed and when we went to celebrate Mom's birthday last weekend, she was right there, smiling and reminiscing with us. I always look forward to having dinner here with my husband. We have the ribs and baked potato that was amazing The meat falls off the bone and the flavor of the ribs with Cheese Toast was delicious! We had a great service from Venus. She was always asking if we needed anything and she has a great smile and very warm personality about her. The ambience was nice but a little bit overcrowded but it was comfortable having to sit next to the salad bar. Me and my wife at there 2 times last week and our server was named Elena and was amazin.She was very friendl,knew all the information about the salad bar and checked in with us carrying a heavy load. Stopped by Sizzler for the first time in years, and it was a total nostalgia trip back to the '90s! Everything felt just like I remembered, from the atmosphere to the classic menu. I ordered the steak with half a dozen shrimp, and the steak was cooked to perfection--juicy and flavorful. The salad bar was solid, nothing too fancy, but it had all the staples. The food here is good I had steak and shrimp with a baked potato, and my husband had the salad bar. The Salad Bar has a good variety of food. This is by far the best Sizzler that we have been to. The food taste good, and the items at the buffet look fresh. The service here is also great they took our order fast and our server Kimberly was really friendly she was on top of it the whole time! From the moment we walked in we saw staff all over bussing and waiting on others. The manager in white shirt took our food to our table which was nice. Aliyah was our waitstaff who was very efficient and friendly. The variety of greens and toppings seemed lackluster, and the freshness was questionable at best. It's disheartening when even the seemingly simple salad options fall short.
