This place is pretty good. One of my favorite places to stop for lunch. They remodeled a couple years ago and its totally updated. My wife and I usually get the unlimited salad bar and never have been disappointed. There are a ton of salad choices and it's always fresh. The staff comes around every few minutes and cleans up any spills or messes made. The clam chowder and broccoli cheddar soup is delicious. I don't care for the fried foods in the salad bar area. The dessert station is good with soft serve ice cream and usually an apple crisp. The waitresses are always friendly. I'll be back! read more

The new sizzler really sucks. The remodel is great but the service was awful. The manager/assistant manager smelled like booze. He was very snotty with my wife and I. He thought he was being charming but he was acting like a gay John Travolta. I felt sorry for the guy. The steak was wrong and the veggies were soggy. He came out to check on us and gave a long, staring look at my wife's rack like it was a snack. I wanted to drag his scrawny butt outside. Went to sizzler for the first time in over 10 years and I must say I was impressed with everything. The server was friendly, fast, and always refilling drinks. From the person taking your order, all the way up to the managers, these people are clueless about how to run a restaurant & blatantly not friendly. Let me put it this way; it is better than it was when I was 11. I went there when I was 11 and got terribly sick. I had breaded chicken with ham and cheese on top. It was OK. Been to Sizzlers before. They are all just about the same. Same memo, same salad bar and same tastes. This one is a little better than most due to the fact that it is newer so it is very clean. The server was nice and saw to us as soon as we picked a seat. She brought out our drinks and food promptly. Overall was a pretty good experience. I just wanted to give A SHOUT OUT to employee Grant for being there when our server decided to leave me and my family sitting there for what felt like ages. Kayden and another woman (Sarah I believe) were both very rude to my family and myself. They acted like I was interrupting there free time or something! I have worked in restaurants years ago and i am very aware how you are supposed to treat costumers. We all have bad days, you don't take it out on people just trying to enjoy a meal together. Anyways, a very nice gentleman named Grant really came through and got us our drinks and rolls so we did not feel ignored. It wasn't even his job. I love what they have done with this place!! It used to have a cafeteria-like sound & feel, but since the renovations a few years back, we love this restaurant! It's great how they sectioned it off for quieter dining on one side & a more sports bar feel on the other with family seating throughout! The food improved greatly as well with many more updated options to order & great fresh options at the awesome salad bar! I like the soup and taco stations a lot as do my family. The only bummers have been the desserts are probably the worst ever in my life, really. What is that icy watery substance coming out of the ice cream machine? Yuck! It doesn't even attempt to be creamy...and the sidebar desserts are always a disgusting mushy mess. Usually labeled a bread pudding or a cobbler of some type. Come on Sizzler!! You have got to be able to end your patrons dining experience on a better and tastier note than those nasty offerings. I Love my desserts! We have been here many times and I must say the service and quality is absolutely B A D bad! Steak cook orders are very seldom right. Seems they just don't know how to cook meat properly. More times than not the orders will come out staggared so someone eats before anyone else. Potatoes are cold or just warm. What happened? My wife and I have been going to Sizzler in Yuba City for several years and were always satisfied until our visit on Sunday August 12th. I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and got a bun filled with greasy hamburger meat with a few limp onion slices. A slice of American cheese was placed on one side which, by the way, wasn't even fully melted. My wife ordered her usual Malibu Chicken which was o.k. but not of the quality we normally experience. Every time I go in...the manager always comes to the table to ask how we enjoyed our food...FANTASTIC! Told Manager and no issue got me another but this one was so fatty I just gave up and was going to take it as a loss but the manager came back to check so I told him. He said ok I am going to give you a paper for a whole new meal. I got the triple thing with shrimp, steak and chicken. I had already eaten the chick and I guess he thought I just got steak and shrimp and I didn't see what he wrote. So fast forward about three weeks I go back with my family again and gave the paper to the cashier and she rang it up along with everyone else with me. I get my food and can't find my chicken and told the manager my story and at first I think he thought I was trying to rip him off but got me a chicken ham cheese thing anyway long story short THIS PLACE AND MANAGER IS AWESOME!! We've been coming here for awhile, and have always enjoyed the yummy rolls, food and service, BUT the other day way beyond GREAT our server was beyond anyone there very kind always, Alex had a smile on his face and seemed truly happy to be there to help you and was a hard worker. We went here yesterday and man was it something!! First of all I found the ordering process mind numbingly stupid. This place is like a pricey Mc Donalds! Since we had to stand there and make quick decisions, we had questions about if we could substitute some items for others.....well that set of code red for them!! When we first got to the restaurant and paid to come in we sat down and had to wait 15 minutes before my wife grabbed our ticket and went to go find a manager so that we could have our drinks. Then finally the food chain and my wife's ribs or room temperature. The food came and my wifes ribs were room temperature. I had asked for no sour cream on my baked potato but there was sour cream on them. The manager came out to talk to us about our meal and gave excuses and arguments about my wife being wrong about why her food was room temperature. They didn't took her plate back heated up the food that was sitting at room temperature but there was sour cream on them. If I could give it a zero I would and not because of the food but because of what happened to me. I went in to have lunch with my daughter and mother on Thursday 9/8/16 and the cashier decided she would not only charge my card for my food but she also did a "cash back" transaction that apparently sizzler offers (which I was not aware of)and she kept the money for herself this was not authorized what so ever!! I noticed this when I checked my bank account and noticed 2 separate transactions. I called Sizzlers that same night and spoke to the manager and he told me he would do some investigations and also check his cameras and would get back to me the next day. The next day comes and he does not call so I wait for Saturday and I called him since I had yet to receive the call back and he told me I had got cash back I told him no I did not get cash back I did not even know that was an option!! I went into the restaurant he gave me copies of the receipts the transactions were 10 minutes apart the girl stole from my card!! To make matters worse he had still to check his cameras! I feel like the manager was not taking this serious he should have checked right away this is theft!! I have contacted corporate will be filing a police report now and had to report fraud to my bank and this has become a nightmare!! Ha dinner there Sunday October 30th. Had the lobster tail and steak dinner. Lobster tail was perfect. But steak I ordered medium rare was done medium and dry. Told manager about it he agreed and had kitchen do another one. This one didn't even look like a steak. It was pure grizzle. I nor the wife couldn't cut it with the steak knife. Overall... Disappointing. I just sat down after helping my kids get their food and the server spilled a soda all over my table and my lap. He apologized and handed me a towel. After a couple of trips he made to clear away the soda, ice, and plates with soda all over them, I had to tell him I couldn't eat or walk around the restaurant with a lap full of soda and asked for my money back ($105 for two adults and three kids under 10). His supervisor finally came over to refund my money and didn't seem to care that I was having a bad experience at the restaurant and seemed inconvenienced by having to deal with me and more interested in me signing a receipt. My spouse and I were very disappointed with the management's response and lack of interest in the situation (the server was much more thoughtful), so he ended up talking to this supervisor and another management folk at the cashier station to tell them this.
