I ordered the Deluxe Diced Cut Steak and Salmon, which came out piping hot on the well-oiled grill. The steak was a premium cut and the salmon was perfectly tender. Their house garlic butter is honestly top-notch, as it took all the veggies (mushrooms, green beans, carrots and corn) to another level. I couldn't stop gobbling up the food and it paired perfectly with the bowl of rice it came with. The spring onion pancake was also phenomenal and left me wanting more! I added an egg to it, but they also have an option to leave it plain or add different kinds of cheeses. I would probably eat this everyday if I lived closer. There's nothing quite like Sizzlin' Place in San Bernardino County, so I highly recommend checking it out! I swear this restaurant does not belong in a food court. It is that good! The food is bar none better than any food court and even most restaurant food that I've had! It has a prime location and it's own seating within Haven City Market so no need to look elsewhere for seating. You order from the kiosk before entering and take a seat. The owner is there to greet you and make sure you are treated with the best service. His smile is amazingly infectious. If the food didn't take your heart the excitement from the owner and staff will! The tea is all cold brewed and reminds me of brewed tea in HK, it is that good! We had the watermelon and lemon cold brewed tea. I was smiling ear to ear and thought it couldn't get better, then the food came. And oh did it ever get better!!! Sizzling place is my go to place inside haven city! I love how I can customize my plate and add egg plus kimchi! I've been here several times and the owner is so cool! Located inside the Haven City Market place and on the corner in the middle section. My husband and I decided to eat here after seeing their customer's eating what they ordered. You have to place your order on a kiosk and then seat where there is a table available or seating near the bar. I ordered the hot plate beef and my husband ordered the hot plate half chicken and beef, which is not on the menu, but can request. For the hot beef plate, you can order the regular amount of beef or the other one which offers more beef. The price difference between the two is $2.00. As the food came out, the plate is sizzling and you wait for the chosen meat to cook. You mix it all together as the seasoning is in the middle of the rice. It was delicious. It's very similar to Devil's Kitchen but the portions are bigger . The staff is very friendly and helpful and assured me that we would love what we ordered. They have a two kiosk you can use in front of the restaurant along with printed menu to select from. I was having a hard time deciding on what to eat but when I got to the pasta area shrimp pasta caught my attention. Also ordered green tea with my food and asked for 25% less sweet. There is plenty of seating at the bar top and tables. I personally love their chicken karaage as appetizer along with salmon collar. Both came out just like they had advertised, sizzling hot and a caution band that is wrapped around it so if you don't get the message than someone help you! For entrees, I got the upsize hot beef plate with egg and cheese (add these two toppings for the ultimate experience!). Mixing it all in was so satisfying and the flavors intensified when they all melded together. The udon spicy shrimp plate is great for spice lovers and they don't lie about the spice level. I'm someone who's obsessed with spicy food and the rich buttery sauce is complimented beautifully by the spice. The shrimp is also plump and juicy - everything was of great quality. For drinks, I got the cold brew red guava iced black tea and the cold brew lychee iced black tea. The owner explained to me that they're infused for 20 hours before they're served and you can really tell when you take a sip. I've been wanting to try one of these sizzling plate-type restaurants for years now, and let me tell you, Sizzlin' Place did not disappoint! Sizzlin' Place is located in Haven City Market, which is the best food hall I have visited in the IE so far. It probably has about 20 different food establishments to choose from in addition to dessert, boba, and alcohol options. They have a big parking lot, but it can still be difficult to find a space during peak hours. Sizzlin' Place caught my attention because I was craving some Japanese food. I was torn between the Ebi Furai (Prawn) Donburi ($15.99) or the Spicy Shrimp Aglio Olio ($14.99), but decided to go with the latter. I ordered at one of electronic stations they have set up in front of the counter, and once I was finished, the owner handed me a buzzer and my copy of the receipt. I spent the next couple minutes walking around the food hall searching for an open table, but I couldn't find anywhere to sit. I guess I should have expected that, though, since I was there on a Friday evening right around dinner time. I settled for eating outside in the cold, windy weather. My buzzer went off about 5 minutes after I ordered my food. Be warned - the sizzling plates they use are kind of heavy, so you'll want to use two hands to carry the tray. I was worried that eating outside would mess with the temperature of my fresh food, but the sizzling plate kept it nice and warm. The Spicy Shrimp Aglio Olio dish came with 6 shrimps and a pile of noodles in the center topped with chili flakes and a ball of seasoning and flavor. I took a minute to mix everything together, and when I took my first bite, I was amazed! There was an instant burst of flavor and just the right amount of spice. There were also some small slices of onion that had crisped up at the bottom of the plate, which added an addictive crunchy texture to the dish. I couldn't stop stuffing my face, and I had cleared out my plate after just a few minutes. The portion was probably sufficient for the average person, but I would have liked a little more pasta. The last time I visited Sizzlin' Place was right before Covid - I'm glad to see that they're still running with a steady stream of customers. Restaurant is a take on Japanese fusion with dishes served on a hot plate - the popular items are the steak dishes, rice plates, and curry, but they recently came out with some new menu items including a surf and turf plate, chicken karaage, and a whole new line of cold brew teas. I tried the salmon and chicken deluxe plate ($19.49) which came with some vegetables and a side of rice. As the dish came out of the kitchen, it was still sizzling on the hot plate (hence the restaurant name!), which allowed the meat to cook a bit more. Wow, so even though I wasn't too hungry, I ended up eating more than I had expected. The steak came in small cubes, already diced which made for easy eating. Steak was super tender and didn't even need any additional sauce for flavoring! But as much as I enjoyed the steak, I have to say that the salmon was the shining star. Super succulent, melt in my mouth, deliciousness. I almost didn't want to split any of it with my friend - it was that good! There was quite a bit of oil that ended up coating the vegetables, but I didn't really notice it because I was enjoying the protein too much. We also ordered the chicken karaage donburi ($12.49). You can have the chicken karaage by itself or with udon or noodles, but we wanted to enjoy it with rice. Chicken came out of the kitchen smelling incredible! We were told that the chicken was triple fried - wow, super crispy and crunchy, but still had tenderness once I bit into the center. The rice was a little on the drier side, but we mixed some miso sauce into the rice to soften it up. If you're just looking for a light snack, definitely try the shrimp tempura! I wasn't sure what to expect, but these were so light and tasty that I didn't even realize I had eaten two. The order comes with 4 ($6.49) pieces and a dipping sauce. My friend also wanted to try the gyoza, so we ordered the pork and chives ($5.99). I'm not a fan of dumplings or gyoza, but I have to say that these were lightly fried and pretty tasty. I could really taste the chives flavor from inside the gyoza. And don't count out the drinks! There's plenty of drink options inside of Haven, but if you want something on the simpler, more refreshing side, Sizzlin' Place has some cold brew teas. This sounded pretty interesting, so I tried the grapefruit flavor. For about $4.25, the price is pretty comparable to other restaurants that offer teas/drinks. The drink wasn't sweet at all and while it wasn't a drink that I wanted to gulp down all at once, I enjoyed sipping it from time to time to help quench my thirst. There are other flavors as well; I'll probably go with another flavor the next time I come back. tl;dr - Highly recommend Sizzlin' Place inside of Haven if you're hungry and craving some tasty food. Ordered the Hot Plate Beef and Shrimp & Salmon Deluxe. As an appetizer I got the Handmade Spring Onion Pancake with egg. It came out so hot and crispy... so good. They have cold brew tea here and I had to try that. We got the Lychee Black Tea and Passion Fruit Green Tea. Both were really flavorful and loved the tea. Onto the main course, you can pick different kinds of cheese to add on top of your rice. My salmon was cooked to perfection with a nice crust outside just the way I like it. The food itself didn't take long to come out; about 10 minutes. Note you can also get your food to go and don't need to dine in. There are other items from their Izakaya menu that look so good. I've been to Sizzlin' Place a few times before, but this was the first time that I tried their chicken karaage donburi. I was actually eyeing their veggie tempura because I like my healthy eats, dipped in batter and deep fried, but unfortunately, they were out of the veggie tempura, so I had to choose the next best fried option, which was chicken. Although the chicken bowl wasn't sizzling, the chicken itself might as well have been! They must have have made my dish fresh to order, because as soon as my dish arrived, I foolishly took a large bite of one of the chicken chunks, and my unsuspecting tongue was burned instantly. It was so hot, crispy, and juicy though, I suppose the first burn was worth it. The rice was also nicely seasoned in the chicken juices and oil, along with some flakes of nori, so it made quite a hearty meal. The dish also came with a small side of spicy Mayo to dip the chicken in, which was surprisingly sweat inducing for me. My poor tongue was still recovering from that first degree burn and now it was getting assaulted by a capsaicin burn. The rice plate is $12.99 with less than 10 pieces of beef, and tasted like left over cheap kbbq meat (specifically ayce kbbq iykyk). Not only the taste wasn't great, the meat had a weird piece of thing stuck inside it. My husband ordered the soup noodle for $9.99, it was definitely ramen packet. Absolutely zero effort put in their food. Nothing to comment on the service, guy just doing his job and wishing to get home. For the price, we got a very generous portion of meat. When you mix up the rice and let it sit, you can get some really nice, crispy rice. Personally, I felt that this dish tasted kind of oily. The rice and meat did not have too much flavor to them so the corn was a good addition. Will be better with an egg so I do reccomend adding that to your order (or bring your own egg because the extra add on is 1.50) read more

I'm so glad I got to try this spot in Haven City Market. There's plenty of parking out front which is always a plus. I am in love with the udon salmon plate! The butter and seasonings coated the noodles and salmon really well which added so much flavor! If you're considering a first time visit, I highly recommend this one! The other dishes we tried were also super delicious. We tried Ebi furai and potato croquette as appetizers, and they had a really good texture and flavor, (the Ebi furai tasted best dipped in the kewpie Mayo!), and then the lamb & Shrimp deluxe plate (tip: drizzle the teriyaki sauce, add the rice into the plate and mix it up, you'll thank me later!) along with the udon salmon plate. read more

The food was good, prices were fair, the Karaage was ~14 and it was a good amount of chicken to rice ratio. The service was a bit off putting, I watched one of the servers play/twirl with my sauce before giving it to me. Overall weird experience but food was good. read more
