Love this place! The interior is sea themed and very cute! They have multiple TVs for sports fans. Parking is easy and is normally not crowded. The location is very convenient and close to downtown SJ. The service is fast but not rushed which I love! I've never had to wait more than 10 mins to start eating. My go-to order is Combo #1 mild/medium spicy with the House Special sauce. The employees are very friendly and accommodating and I appreciate that they never rushed me to eat even though I've arrived 30 mins to closing about two times already. P.s. Beware that they mean business when it comes to spice! Made the mistake of ordering extremely spicy once and it looked like I got lip injections after the first bites of my meal. I ended up taking it to go because I was sweating in the restaurant lol. Always order mild first to determine your desired level and they can add more chili upon request. read more

Although tbh, it was my first time having crawfish - if I had to do it over, I probably would've gotten crab. Absolutely loved this Cajun restaurant's food! Here are a few reasons why: LOCATION 5/5 This restaurant is in a plaza with tons of parking spots! Easy to find parking which was a huge plus. AMBIANCE 4/5 There wasn't anything particularly different about this Canjun restaurant's decor. The place was clean and because I didn't dine in, this is all that I can say for now. SERVICE 5/5 I loved how welcoming the cashier and one of the helpers we're. They were both very polite. I got the impression that this is a family owned business. My friends recommended this place to me. We usually get combo 3 and we get SJ style medium with shambalang hot on the side. They are the only place I know that has fresh crawfish. Servers are very friendly and helpful they always ask if we want fresh crawfish or the frozen one. I can never have enough crawfish. Eating 4lbs and I can still keep going. Reading these reviews ,I decided to go to SJ CRAWFISH instead of our regular spot KICKING CRAB. The sauce was horrible and when we got our order of 1lb of shrimp to just try it out. Our order didn't look like 1 lb of shrimp. Did I tell you , the cans of soda are 2.50 . First off kicking crab is 2.50 for unlimited fountain drink. Look at the receipt , we were charged for the Cajun sauce and no problems with the charge at all. The owner is trying to make it look like we had a problem with 2.00 charge which is not the case.Please accept the criticism and move on. We make good money but paying for this nasty food is a waste of money. I've never had a business owner argue back and forth. It's crawfish season! My family came in yesterday for takeout, and we were so pleasantly surprised when we opened up the bags at home to see giant, fat crawfish! We got crawfish combos with shrimp and clams as well. I can't eat shrimp so I can't speak to that, but the clams were super plump and delicious. WHOA, I did not expect to like this place. Before my friends and I made a stop here, we actually stopped at Boiling Crab. The line was was way too crazy there that we ended up trying SJ Crawfish instead. Upon reading the reviews, we were kind of iffy about it, but it seemed decent enough to try. When we got here we there was NO LINE and were seated right away. My fiance & I shared the combo #2: 1 lb jumbo shrimp, 1 lb crayfish, 1 lb clams, 2 corn, 2 potatoes (the size of apples), and 4 sausage with the House Special sauce for $40. Our group also shared the garlic noodles, which were DELICIOUS and so, so garlicky. We all love a good amount of garlic, so this was major KEY. When our bags of goodness came we were pretty excited since we were all starving. The shrimp was so juicy, the clams were pretty big, & also considering that it was past 8 PM, they did pretty good. One of the things that I didn't like was that the lemonade was $4.95. This seems like it should come with refills, but it did not. The sauce was also highly buttery, so I'd be mindful of that. Not a fan of crawfish, but decided to come here with a friend for dinner. Before coming, we called a few places to see if they had fresh crawfish and this was the only place that said "yes". As I'm writing this review, i'm trying to think of a negative as I rarely give a place 5 stars, but I cant find anything wrong with this place. My friend enjoyed the crawfish, while I enjoyed muscles, jumbo shrimp & a side of cajun fries. Spice level was right, food had awesome flavor. We got a combo deal & from what I've seen at other places, the pricing here seems a bit more fair. They got a pretty good selection of options & their simple menu makes it easy to order. Everything seemed on point! From the service, to the food, to not waiting too long for the food to come out, clean bathrooms, restaurant itself looked clean, sports / news on the tv's & servers coming by frequently to refill our water/drinks. They even helped us re-bag the leftovers to take home. And just an added bonus that it's close to home & there's plenty of parking in the plaza. read more

Flavors were good here. I love their SJ's Style seasoning with their jumbo shrimp for just $15 per lbs!! It was a sweet with a mild spicy kick. Greeted by friendly staff and asked for sauce sample to taste and to my amazement it was very good. Different from boiling crab and other establishment but definitely very flavorful. Nice balance. I ordered 1 lb of king crab, 1lb of clams and 1 of crawfish to tryout so here's to a very happy stomach for breakfast/lunch. The interior is very nice and updated. I've eaten seafood from probably more than 100 Cajun places but this is where you need to go if you crave seafood. So we complain about them for the very first time. We never complain about them before, cause we enjoy the food from there. this place is the best! i can't believe i didn't try this place sooner. i usually go to boiling crab or crawdaddy but recently their sauce has been bland .. nothing to make me crave for more. so no need to return to those establishments when i can just go to sj crawfish. whoo!! the service is fantastic and you can actually taste the flavor. my brother in law recommended this place to me and i am so glad he did! parking is usually really easy since the lot is big but be careful of all the gym rats. my friend and i walked into the establishment and it was pretty bare, sadly. we were greeted with a genuine smile and told to take a seat at any open table. the owners (i believe) came over to us and asked if we were ready to order. we ordered calamari heads, 2 cans of soda, and a combo #2 cajun medium .. the combo consists of 1 lb crawfish, 1 lb shrimp, 1 lb clams, 2 corns, 2 potatoes, and 4 sausages. the calamari heads came out first and they were delicious. not too much batter, the right about of crisp, and you can actually taste the herb seasoning. our combo came shortly after and it was piping hot. clams were a good size, shrimps were super sweet, and crawfish ranging from medium to large were fresh. the owners checked on us periodically, refilling our waters and checking if we needed anything else. we were pretty full from the combo so i went up to pay. we had small talk and that is something you rarely find from an asian restaurant. i checked in on yelp and received one of the canned sodas for free. paid the bill and both owners bided us farewell and to have a nice weekend. we can not wait for the day we are feening for more crawfish. Management is extremely unethical. If they make a mistake on your order, be prepared to pay additional fees just to fix it. It's ridiculous....The workers are almost always on their phones. I've also seen the Chef take the trash out to the dumpster and come back in and continue cooking without washing his hands. It's pretty appalling that management lets this kind of stuff go on. Your Chef makes a mistake and I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA JUST TO GET MY FOOD THE WAY I ORDERED IT... But hey at least their food is okay...too bad that isn't an excuse to treat customers poorly. I used to love going to Kickin Crab San Jose but for the last few years Kickin Crab's sauce has been inconsistent and sometimes terrible. This is the best crawfish place in town! Better than boiling crab I should say! Their sauces are different from a regular cajun place. It's a fusion of asian and cajun spices. Woah SJ Crawfish is bombbb!!! Way better than Boiling Crab that's for sure. We got the Lobster Tail and King Crab Legs. You must get the SJ Style sauce... TRUST ME! It's the perfect blend of spicy, sweet, garlic, butter... for sides we got Cajun fries, steamed rice, and garlic noodles which were all good.
